Wood

Taylor Swift really looked us in the eye and said, "Trust me, it's about superstitions." Giggle.
This week on 13: A Taylor Swift Fan Podcast, we're diving into one of the most talked-about, most double-entendre-filled, and somehow still radio-friendly track from The Life of a Showgirl album.. We are breaking down the song Wood.
From daisy petals and lucky pennies to bouquet catches and suspiciously tall trees, we're unpacking every wink, nod, and eyebrow raise hidden in this clever song. We revisit some hilariously wrong pre-album predictions, react to the moment Swifties collectively realized what Taylor was actually singing about, and discuss why this track might be one of the funniest songs she's ever written.
Plus, we explore surprising connections to Sabrina Carpenter, uncover a fan theory that really put the innocence of this song into perspective, and relive some unforgettable reactions from Swifties, podcasters, and even the Kelce family themselves.
Is it a song about luck? Is it a song about love? Is it a song about... well... let's just say Taylor wasn't exactly subtle.
Grab your friendship bracelets, clutch your pearls, and maybe don't listen to this episode around your grandma. This episode is all fun, no bad luck, and absolutely worth the deep-dive, accolades and some giggles.
What did we miss? What are some of your takes from this track? What else would you like to hear from us? There are lots of ways to reach us, and we love hearing from you!
