[SPEAKER_01]: Before we begin our story, [SPEAKER_01]: Let's relax by taking a deep dragon breath, breathe in through your nose, filling up your lungs, and then out through your mouth, imagining you are breathing fire like a dragon.
[SPEAKER_01]: Ready? [SPEAKER_01]: Deep breath in and out. [SPEAKER_01]: great job. [SPEAKER_01]: Today, let's imagine a small pool of soothing water. [SPEAKER_01]: This is all pretend and you are very safe. [SPEAKER_01]: Imagine the sun sparkling on the water as you step into the pool and sit down in the clear water.
[SPEAKER_01]: The warm water hugs you as you lie back in the pool. [SPEAKER_01]: Now, let's take another deep dragon breath in and out. [SPEAKER_01]: First, think about your feet. [SPEAKER_01]: Hicture them floating as the water slips and slides between your toes. [SPEAKER_01]: Next, focus on your legs.
[SPEAKER_01]: Imagine them gently swaying in the water, back and forth, back and forth. [SPEAKER_01]: Your hands feel relaxed in the water, too. [SPEAKER_01]: open your fingers as you imagine the water massaging your hands and fingers. [SPEAKER_01]: As you imagine your whole body lightly floating in the water, let's take one more deep dragon breath in and out.
[SPEAKER_01]: great job everyone. [SPEAKER_01]: I hope you are tucked in nice and cozy. [SPEAKER_01]: I think we're ready to begin our story. [SPEAKER_01]: Let's be calm on Awe Island. [SPEAKER_01]: Our story today is Dancing Bubbles. [SPEAKER_01]: The afternoon sun peaked through the clouds, lighting up the backyard of the little house in a quiet, away island neighborhood.
[SPEAKER_01]: Coming out the back door of the little house, Emily skipped outside. [SPEAKER_01]: In her hands, she held a small pink bottle. [SPEAKER_01]: She unscrewed the lid of the bottle. [SPEAKER_01]: pulling a wand out of the sticky liquid inside the bottle. [SPEAKER_01]: She grinned as she held the wand in her hand.
[SPEAKER_01]: Emily loved bubbles. [SPEAKER_01]: Beginning to dance around, Emily gently waved the hand that was holding the wand. [SPEAKER_01]: The breeze created a string of little bubbles that poured out of the end of Emily's [SPEAKER_01]: Emily smiled with the light as she watched the bubbles float through the air for a few moments before slowly drifting downward.
[SPEAKER_01]: As the bubbles floated, pop, pop, pop, one by one, the bubbles burst and Emily giggled at the site. [SPEAKER_01]: After all the Bubbles had disappeared, Emily dipped the wand back in the bottle. [SPEAKER_01]: This time, when she pulled the bubble wand out of the bottle, Emily began to spin.
[SPEAKER_01]: Around and around, she went. [SPEAKER_01]: Little Bubbles drifting around her in a circle. [SPEAKER_01]: Emily raised the wand above her head as she twirled. [SPEAKER_01]: The bubbles floated around her head and slowly circled her, floating down, down, down, until they each finally popped.
[SPEAKER_01]: Emily dipped her wand into the bottle for a third time. [SPEAKER_01]: This time, she skipped straight in one direction, with the wand held high in her hand. [SPEAKER_01]: She skipped along until all the bubble liquid had been blown out of the wand by the breeze. [SPEAKER_01]: Then Emily stopped skipping and turned around to watch the bubbles behind her drift downward.
[SPEAKER_01]: She smiled as she watched little bitty rainbows shine inside each bubble as it drifted toward the ground. [SPEAKER_01]: Every bubble sparkled in the sunshine and Emily was mesmerized by the site. [SPEAKER_01]: after each of those bubbles finally popped. [SPEAKER_01]: Emily began to dance around again.
[SPEAKER_01]: She waltzed this way and that, wanting to see what kinds of patterns she could make in the air with her bubbles. [SPEAKER_01]: As she continued dancing, her brother Billy came outside. [SPEAKER_01]: I amly called Billy as he came out the back door. [SPEAKER_01]: What are you doing? [SPEAKER_01]: He asked his little sister as he approached her.
[SPEAKER_01]: Hi Billy, I'm blowing bubbles. [SPEAKER_01]: Emily replied proudly. [SPEAKER_01]: It looks like you're dancing to me who Billy said with a smile. [SPEAKER_01]: Oh, that's how I blow bubbles. [SPEAKER_01]: Emily responded, watch this. [SPEAKER_01]: Emily dipped the wand into the bubble solution, and began to spin around as fast as she could.
[SPEAKER_01]: A curtain of tiny bubbles surrounded her as she spun. [SPEAKER_01]: It did look pretty cool, believe thought. [SPEAKER_01]: As Emily stopped spinning, the two children watched as each bubble floated to the ground and finally burst. [SPEAKER_01]: How do you blow bubbles? [SPEAKER_01]: Emily asked curiously.
[SPEAKER_01]: Do you not dance when you're blowing bubbles? [SPEAKER_01]: Billy smiled. [SPEAKER_01]: He took the wand that his sister offered him and replied, Like this. [SPEAKER_01]: Billy dipped the bubble wand into the bottle still held in Emily's hand. [SPEAKER_01]: He pulled out the wand, holding it in front of his mouth.
[SPEAKER_01]: Then he explained, now you take a deep dragon breath in and out. [SPEAKER_01]: Billy blew air into the wand himself, pushing the bubbles out with his own breath, instead of letting the breeze do it for him. [SPEAKER_01]: As Billy blew the air out of his mouth, a bubble formed on the wand.
[SPEAKER_01]: It grew bigger and bigger with the air from Billy's lungs. [SPEAKER_01]: Wow! [SPEAKER_01]: Emily was amazed. [SPEAKER_01]: That was a really big bubble. [SPEAKER_01]: May I try? [SPEAKER_01]: Sure, said Billy smiling. [SPEAKER_01]: Breathing into the wand yourself just gives you more control over the air.
[SPEAKER_01]: Billy explained. [SPEAKER_01]: You can make bigger bubbles that way. [SPEAKER_01]: Emily nodded her understanding and took the wand from her brother's hand. [SPEAKER_01]: But when you're done, I'd like another turn, Billy added. [SPEAKER_01]: I want to try your way of blowing bubbles. [SPEAKER_01]: The dancing way.
[SPEAKER_01]: Emily smiled back at her big brother and said, okay, the dancing way is fun too. [SPEAKER_01]: Emily dipped the bubble wand back into the bottle. [SPEAKER_01]: Excitedly, she held the wand in front of her face and took a quick dragon breath in and out. [SPEAKER_01]: A bubble formed on the wand and popped immediately.
[SPEAKER_01]: Oh, what happened to my bubble? [SPEAKER_01]: Emily asked, staring disappointedly at the empty wand. [SPEAKER_01]: Don't worry, said Billy, encouragingly. [SPEAKER_01]: Slow down your dragon breath a little. [SPEAKER_01]: Just like you do when you're trying to be calm or go to sleep. [SPEAKER_01]: That last breath was just a little too fast.
[SPEAKER_01]: Billy explained. [SPEAKER_01]: Emily tried again. [SPEAKER_01]: She took an extra-slowed deep dragon breath in and out. [SPEAKER_01]: Just like she did every night before going to bed. [SPEAKER_01]: this time as she breathed out a bubble formed on the wand. [SPEAKER_01]: It grew bigger and bigger and bigger.
[SPEAKER_01]: Finally, it got so big that it floated off the wand and the breeze carried it away. [SPEAKER_01]: Emily smiled she had done it I did it she exclaimed thanks Billy I like that way of making bubbles too it's fun to make such big bubbles the rainbows inside these bubbles are bigger [SPEAKER_01]: Billy smiled as he dipped the wand back into the bottom.
[SPEAKER_01]: Then he spun around and around as fast as he could. [SPEAKER_01]: But only a couple tiny bubbles floated around him and they popped almost immediately. [SPEAKER_01]: He stopped looking puzzled. [SPEAKER_01]: Emily laughed and said, this time you went too fast. [SPEAKER_01]: When you make bubbles the dancing way, you can't go too fast, either.
[SPEAKER_01]: You have to dance gracefully, Emily said. [SPEAKER_01]: She demonstrated sweeping arcs with her arms, like a ballet dancer. [SPEAKER_01]: Billy laughed. [SPEAKER_01]: Okay. [SPEAKER_01]: I'll try again, he said. [SPEAKER_01]: Billy tried again. [SPEAKER_01]: This time, twirling slowly, letting his arms smoothly circle around his body as he turned.
[SPEAKER_01]: Imagineing he was a ballet dancer. [SPEAKER_01]: This time, he was rewarded with a shower of little bubbles that circled around him and slowly drifted to the ground. [SPEAKER_01]: Billy and Emily smiled at each other as the bubbles each popped on their way down to the ground. [SPEAKER_01]: For the rest of the afternoon, Billy and Emily took turns blowing bubbles.
[SPEAKER_01]: Sometimes they made bubbles the dancing way by slowly twirling to make smaller bubbles in patterns. [SPEAKER_01]: Other times they made bubbles the dragon breath way by taking extra slow, deep dragon breaths to make bigger bubbles. [SPEAKER_01]: After a while though, the two children got tired of dancing and twirling, and all those deep dragon breaths made both of them feel very relaxed, and it made Emily feel a little sleepy.
[SPEAKER_01]: I think I want to take a little nap, said Emily. [SPEAKER_01]: Thank you for playing with me Billy, she added [SPEAKER_01]: You're welcome Emily her brother replied, I like playing with you. [SPEAKER_01]: Emily gave her brother a big hug and then the two children went inside. [SPEAKER_01]: Billy went to his room to read a book and Emily headed to her room to take a little nap.
[SPEAKER_01]: Emily, and as she hopped into her bed, she nestled her head into her fluffy pillow, feeling cozy and snugly. [SPEAKER_01]: As she got comfortable, she thought of all she had to be grateful for. [SPEAKER_01]: Emily was grateful to have learned a new way to make bubbles. [SPEAKER_01]: The Dragon Breath Way.
[SPEAKER_01]: Thinking about Dragon Breath made her take a deep Dragon Breath in and out. [SPEAKER_01]: Emily was grateful to have a brother who gave her way of making bubbles a try. [SPEAKER_01]: Emily took another deep dragon breath in and out. [SPEAKER_01]: as she thought about Billy dancing with the bubble wand.
[SPEAKER_01]: She smiled as she realized that most of all she was grateful to have Billy for her brother. [SPEAKER_01]: She loved him very much and knew he loved her very much too. [SPEAKER_01]: Emily took one more deep dragon breath in and out. [SPEAKER_01]: Calm in her body. [SPEAKER_01]: her mind quieted and Emily fell asleep, dreaming of dancing with giant bubbles floating all around her.
[SPEAKER_01]: Thank you for joining us to be calm on Awe Island. [SPEAKER_01]: See you next time.
