The Word of His nature operates in three ways. One, reveals the speaker.
Two, establishes relationship.
Three, gives a command. No more notice.
The Word operates in three ways, like a triangle.
The Word gives an order, commands.
If I were to stand before you for ten hours from now.
And say absolutely nothing. You would never know what is in my heart, what is in my mind. But the moment I.
Start speaking to you, the word reveals to you what was inside of me hidden to.
You by the Lord. The word reveals the speaker.
God, nobody saw before, but when God became man and this man spoke, God spoke. And because the word reveals the stika, the word revealed God, the invisible, the unreachable, the unfathomable God. Through the word, He became revealed. And I came to know that this God is love.
And on the basis of love, He.
Came to establish the second part of the word, relationship. So the relationship is based on love. So he will come like John went to Rachel and said, Hi, I'm introducing myself. I want to enter a relationship with you. Hi, my name is John.
What is your name? Her name is Rachel.
Then the relationship is established.
From then onwards, the relationship is growing gradually. The first thing to the beginning of any relationship is the name.
And the name is your identity. Who you are. The word came, became man.
And when he became like us, he came to all of us and extended his hand based on love. He said, I want to enter a relationship with you. My name is Emmanuel. God is with us. My name is Jesus, Yeshua. God the Savior. My name is the Alpha and the Omega. The first and the last. The beginning and the end.
The life and the resurrection. The way, the truth and the life. I am that I am. I want to enter a relationship with you. If we put our hand in this mighty God's hand, That's.
The beginning to the relationship.
After we have that relationship, the word will come back and says, if you love me, you must do as I say. The word commands. If you love me, you must do as I say. But let me come back to the word.
And please bear with me. Are you happy? Are you sure?
God is love. He wants us to come to this love. Because without love there is no life. How do I get to this love? When I begin to knowing Jesus Christ of Nazareth.
Knowledge leads to love. Knowledge leads to love.
You know why? Very simple.
I can never claim that I love someone that I do not know. I can only claim loving the one I came to. You see, what comes before love is knowledge. This is why God the Son became man, not God the Father, not God the Holy Spirit, but God the Son became man.
Why?
Because God the Son is the Word. And what is the Word?
Knowledge.
When you read words in a book, what do words give you?
Knowledge. And what does knowledge give you? Connection.
And when it comes to humanity, relationship. Because I cannot love somebody I do not know.
I can only claim loving the one I came to love.
So now, but.
Without love there is no life. But I can't get to love unless I get to know. That's why the Logos became man. Because he is the knowledge to God, the Father.
Who is Allah. He is the revelation of this love.
So when I establish this relationship with the Lord, as one of the church fathers put it so beautifully, he says, the greater.
The knowledge is, the greater the love is. And the greater the love is, the greater the knowledge is.
However, the greater the love and the.
Knowledge are, the greater the suffering is.
Where did suffering come from? Because of love and knowledge.
If I did not know, I wouldn't have suffered. And if I had never loved, I wouldn't have suffered. Because I came to know and through knowledge I came to love, I began to hurt. My son did something and broke my heart. My husband said something and broke my heart. My wife did something and broke my heart. Why is your heart broken? Because I know this person the most and I love this person the most. when you know the person the most and love the person the most, when they say.
Or do something wrong, they shatter you to pieces.
What crucified Christ the King was His love and knowledge for all of us. The Lord Jesus says for all of us, my knowledge is for you is perfect, and my love for you is perfect.
The day you broke my word, you broke my heart.
Love is the most powerful thing.
In existence, and it is the weakest. Poor mother, poor dad, they raised.
Their son until the age of 30.
Throughout the 30 years of his life living at home, They did not succeed to get their son to wash mud plate.
He finds the love of his life.
In 24 seconds, he washes the dishes, he mows the lawn, and he goes shopping. And the mother looks at her son. She says, you are not my son. I have never given birth to you. I do not know who you are because the way you're behaving is definitely not my son.
The son will come back and says.
Mom, I fell in love and I am shattered to pieces. The Lord revealed this love, true divine love in the matrimonial bond. Jesus Christ is the heavenly groom and the church is the bride.
Now why? Why did he reveal this love in a matrimonial bond?
Because it is only in the matrimonial bond where the two become one.
Father and son separate. Mother and daughter two separate. Brother and sister separate. Husband and wife one. The wife is the body, the husband is the head.
St.
Paul says, just like the man is the head of the woman, so is Christ the head of the church, the bride.
The two become one. The ultimate miracle is love.
Somebody thinks that raising a dead rotted in the grave for four days, Lazarus, as the ultimate miracle, is mistaken. I've been to Bethany. I've been to Israel, Bethany. And I went and I.
Saw the tomb of Lazarus in Bethany, Israel.
But I also went to Cyprus and I saw the second tomb of Lazarus in Cyprus when he became a bishop for 30 years in Cyprus.
So Lazarus has two tombs. One in Israel, and the other one is in Larnaca, Cyprus.
So if raising the dead is the ultimate miracle, well the Lord raised Lazarus but he died again. But the ultimate miracle where the person will live forever, shall never die, is when the heart of that person is changed.
By the Almighty God. And what changes the heart is love.
Is love. Is love.
We are living in a time and age. We are living in a world that is loveless. And when I say loveless. I mean godless. Because there is so many kinds of love.
But they are all vain. unless there is the divine love in your.
Heart.
In English, it is one word for love. In Arabic, it is one word for love.
But in Greek, it is four words for love. Because they're the Greeks, baby.
And just together with the Greeks.
Socrates and Plato and Aristotle. There you go. Absolutely magnificent. In Greek, there is agape.
And please, I'll ask forgiveness in advance for mispronouncing the words because I'm not Greek.
So, my apologies.
The first one is agape. divine love. There is Fedeo, brotherly love. There is Stargate, protective parental love.
And there is Eros, intimate love, honeymoon baby.
No matter how much you love your mom, daughter, Or when you're going with your husband to honeymoon.
And your mom says, take me with you, you will strangle her in the kitchen.
There is agape, divine love.
There is taleo, brotherly love.
There is sporgei, protective parental love. And there is eros, intimate love. You see, the other three cannot stand without Agape, divine love. If there is no divine love, there is no brotherly love. If there is no divine love, there is no parental love. If there is no divine love, there is.
No intimate love.
Christ showed and revealed this divine love in a matrimonial bond marriage.
My son, You know why you put a ring in your finger?
To cut the blood circulation.
Did you get that one?
When the blood circulation is totally cut off, you're dead brother.
That means.
When you go to your wedding, the big day, you go to the church and you stand.
Before the Lord, the holy altar, and.
The one who's burying you, it's a priest or the one who's burying you, you're dressed up in black, my son. You know why you're dressed up in black? Because you go into your burial day. You are saying, today is my day when I am buried by my beloved wife. When you stand there, And you say to her, when the one who's marrying you says, do you take her to be your lawful wedded wife?
When you say yes to her, do you know what you're doing to yourself, son?
You are saying no to every other girl on the face of this planet.
Yeah. When you're saying yes to her, you're literally saying no to everyone else outside of her. Christ says, do you love me? Am I the one and only? Easy said than done. To the bishop, he says, do you love me? like he did from the very start to Simon Peter. Let me tell you this, I don't know how we're going for time, but I don't like the time sometimes because it takes me away from my sweethearts.
Simon Peter denied the Lord with an oath before a woman And said, I do not know.
I swear I do not know this man. But when the Lord rose from the dead, look at this. Amazing. Because he is Olaf.
The first person he calls to him is Simon Peter.
And he says to him, Simon.
Son of Jericho, come here. I want to contemplate with you for a moment.
What was going through Simon's head when the Lord Jesus said, Called him to him.
He probably, while walking up to the Lord.
He was saying, definitely the Lord is gonna wipe me with the floor.
He's gonna shred me to pieces. He's gonna say, shame on you.
What kind of a man are you? Promising that you will never deny me in the Last Supper.
But you denied me, not before a man, not before a soldier, a Roman soldier, before a woman.
Shame, brother, shame.
But to his shocking surprise, the Lord says, Simon, son of Jonah, do you love me?
I'm sure Simon would have gone back a few.
Steps and would have cleaned his ear and said, can you please repeat that again Lord?
What did he just say? Do you love me?
Simon sinned and his sin was grieved.
But in 1 Corinthians chapter 13 it says, love covers many errors.
Love covers many errors.
Simon, because my love for you is infinite, my love covered your sins. I'm not going to say or ask you, why did you deny me?
But I will ask you, do you love me?
When you love, you'll do things you've never done.
Before in your life. You'll go out of your way. Love is crazy. And the Lord comes to the mission And he says, now that your eye is gone, do you still love me? I say, Lord, you know that I love you. My beloveds, Love the Lord. From the heart. Not from the lips. Before you talk about him. Sit at his feet. Like Mary. Before you talk about him.
Sit at his feet. Before you serve him. Sit at his feet. And listen. To the one and only. Jesus Christ of Nazareth.
The full revelation of true divine love.
In marriage.
You cannot live for yourself anymore if you want this marital bond to always be strong and continues to be strong You live for the one you love the most. The man lives for the woman and the woman.
Lives for her man.
And when you come to Jesus Christ, you need to start living for him.
No longer for you. Because if there is true love. Between the two. Christ and me.
Me and Christ. Then I have to live for him. No longer me. Because he definitely. Is living for me. He died for me.
Whenever a couple come to get married, always comes to mind a verse in the book of Proverbs of King Solomon. And it's the last chapter, chapter.
31 and verse 10.
So Proverbs 31, 10 is to do with marriage.
It is one verse, the first half is for the man and the second half is.
For the woman.
So King Solomon, being an extremely wise man, So he wrote the book of Proverbs.
To teach us on how to be wise on earth. How to be wise on earth. So, Proverbs 31.10, it says, A.
Virtuous woman who can find, question mark, for her price exceeds the precious stones or precious pearls.
A virtuous woman who.
Can find, for her price exceeds the precious pearls. A virtuous woman who can find this is for the man. For her price exceeds the precious pearls, this is for the woman. He is saying to the man, if you are looking for a girl in marriage, look for a girl that is virtuous. And what is virtuous? Take the word virtuous and put fearing the Lord. So if you want to live happily there after.
My son, find a girl that fears the Lord.
Because if you're able to find a girl that fears the Lord, you will never fear her.
In your entire life.
Because when you have the fear of the Lord, meaning loving Christ, Do not be afraid of her because the Christ who has engulfed her heart will make sure she will never hurt you. But if you are looking for a guy, my daughter, come to Bishopman.
I have a scanner.
Output through MRI, CT scan, the whole lot.
I will make sure his nose is not too big.
And his ears are not like an elephant, and I will make sure there is something called the brain upstairs.
So when you're looking for a guy, my.
Beloved daughter, look for a guy that sees you as more precious than pearls.
Now what is more precious than pearls?
St.
Paul in the New Testament answers King Solomon of the Old Testament.
He says, he who has purchased us. Who is he here? Jesus Christ.
He who has purchased us, not with silver, not with gold, not with precious stores of pearls.
But with his own blood.
Hallelujah.
What surpasses pearls?
Blood.
And what is blood?
Life.
Blood is your life. And once the blood goes, your life goes. He says, my daughter, look for a man that is willing to put his life on the line for you. And look for the girl that loves Jesus Christ. This is a marriage built on the rock. We come to the Lord Jesus. He is the man who loved this girl called the church. What did he do for her?
He gave his life up for her.
Amen. Now what is he expecting Christ from the church?
To love him back. Love him back. One day this young man.
Maximum 21 year old.
In Sydney. He came to me once. He said. Father. Do I have to go to church? I said no my son. Who told you that? He said my mom. In my heart I said. Oops. I'm in deep trouble. I said no my son. You don't have to go to church. He said hallelujah. Praise the Lord.
I'm going to run to my mom and I say, Mom, get off my case because.
The good-looking bishop said you don't have to.
Go to church.
I said, Lisa, before you go and get me into trouble with the president, you know, let me ask you this. Do you love the Lord Jesus.
My son? He said, yes. I said, then you have to go to church. You don't have to go to church, but if you love the Lord... Then you have to go. Going to church is not an obligation. It's a result of that love.
Because my son, I'll ask you this.
Don't you want to be with the love of your life?
Imagine you've just met this girl and now you've got engaged to her after a few months. Now the engagement stage, I call it the Rosella stage. It's the Rosella stage. Everything is honeyed. By the way, there are three kind of rings when it comes to marriage. One ring is called the engagement ring. The other one is called the wedding ring. And the last one is called the suffering ring.
So before suffering comes, you are engaged. When you go out, I ask you this, my son. I ask you this, more so my son. When you are with your sweetheart, sitting at a cafe, at a restaurant, wherever it is.
Do you ever look at the time? You will never look at the time. You know why? Because the last thing you want.
Is the time to take you away from the love of your life.
Jesus Christ.
It's not an obligation or a duty or a checklist.
I did, I did not. I said, I said not.
Jesus Christ is your love. And when it comes to love, love gives you life. And when it comes to this very life, you do not live it in an obligatory way, but you live it in a naturalistic way based on love. This breath that you take... Every single moment.
Do you count how many times you breathe, you've inhaled?
Do you count how many times you've done it throughout the day?
Never.
Why?
Because this breath.
Is your life.
And when it comes to life, it is not a subject you study at university. It is not a song or a poet or a preach. A life can only be lived. And this life cannot be lived if there.
Is no love preceding it.
So when you're sitting with your sweetheart, you will never look at the watch.
And if you've got a watch on your hand, you will definitely remove it.
Because I want to be with you always.
And when you go your separate ways, you just get through the front door. And the door is not even slammed shut. You call her and say, honey, I miss you. What a liar. That's an Assyrian. The literal transliteration means your lies explode.
You call her and you say, I miss you.
As if I haven't seen you a lifetime.
The Lord says, when you are with me and I'm with you, do you huff and puff and say, Bishop, you're talking for too long.
I need to go.
I'm in the church and I'm saying, oh my goodness, this service is gone for two hours.
I thought I was coming to McDonald's drive-thru I don't like drive-thru service.
There is no love in it. There is money, dollar sign in it.
But if I love you, I want to keep you for as long as I can in the church because the church is the ark and out there is the great flood. Why are you rushing to be drowned by the world?
Where are you going? Where are you heading? Stay with your love.
I disagree with churches with all love and humility.
I disagree with church leaders.
When they say, shorten the service, shorten the service, because we don't want.
To put extra load on people.
They're working six days a week. They're working very hard. You know, give them a quick service and let them go.
Go away.
Go away to Satan that is waiting outside. Go away.
If you are the greatest swimmer in the world and outside the ark, you will drown. And if you are a rabbit unable to swim and inside the ark, you will be saved.
It is not what you think. It is not what you know. It is not your wisdom.
Your knowledge, your strength, your wealth, your fame, your prestigious life.
That saves you.
It is the blood of the Lamb of God who saves.
And I will.
Never die for you unless I love you more than myself. You know, the love of God we see in parents more than anywhere else. Because it's a genuine love from mom and dad.
Parents, when you.
Have that child, naturally, instantaneously, The love that gushes out of your heart towards that newborn baby is unfathomable, irresistible, unstoppable. But you did not learn it in any university. You did not have to study to learn how to love because it just comes naturally. It comes from the Almighty God.
But have you ever wondered, mom or dad, All the sacrifices that you are giving to this child, all the love, endless hours of sacrificing. When the baby has a temperature, I don't care if it's 1 a.m., 2 a.m., 3 a.m., in my pajamas.
And if it's a mom without makeup, I'll run to the doctor. Yet other times you'll stand before a mirror for 10 hours just to look good.
Beautiful.
Beautiful.
But when my baby is sick, I don't care what the world thinks of me. Even if I am not good looking, I don't care. My baby is my beauty, my life, my everything.
We run crazy. My baby.
God, when he saw we were in danger, he ran like crazy. I'll leave you with this. Love makes you do crazy things, even when you are God.
You know, it's incredible. When you read in the book of Genesis, when God came to create, He.
Created everything with the Word. But when He came to create us, He did not create us with the Word.
He created us with His own hands. He said, let there be light. Light came. Trees, stars, all of the world.
When it came to the human being, He said, let us go down and make.
This man in our image according to our likeness. You know, God made us with His own hands. And what did He make us out of? You know the word Adam in Hebrew?
Which the original text of the Old Testament is in Hebrew.
And Hebrew, Aramaic, I speak the Lord's language, Aramaic. So Aramaic, Hebrew, Arabic.
These are all Semitic languages.
They are cousins. They are one family. So Hebrew, Aramaic, same language.
So Adam in Aramaic.
Comes from the word Idanta. Idanta, dem. Dem in Aramaic means blood. Idanta means red mud. She made us out.
Of mud, but it is red mud. So I ask you this, my beloveds.
Who plays in the mud?
Little children, because they don't know any better.
My mother just washed them, bathed them, dressed.
Them up with beautiful clothes, and before she.
Know it, the baby, the child is playing in the mud, and he's dirtied himself.
But you don't blame the baby. Don't get angry at that baby. That's all they know.
But God, the.
Source of wisdom, infinite wisdom, when you come to create us, you put your hands in the mud like a baby.
He says, yes. Why God? He says, because love made me do crazy things. Love the Lord.
And love one another. And this is the cross. I said I'll leave you with this, but I'll leave you with this now. By the way, I don't wear a watch because I pray that I'm always with my love, Jesus Christ.
Familiar with your love, time ceases. Time never exists. Amen. I was going to say something. Now it's gone.
You see, love makes you go blank as well. You know, you prepare a list of things to say to your sweetheart, but when you meet them, it's all gone.
Psalm 23, where it starts with, The Lord is my shepherd, I shall not want.
Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil, for you are with me.
And then King David continues and says.
For your staff and rod, for your rod and staff, or staff.
And rod, they comfort me. Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death. Question. Does death have a shadow? Because that's what the psalmist says. Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death. Does death have shadow? Well, it has to be.
Because the Holy Bible says it.
Now, what is the shadow of death? Hell.
How did death enter?
Through sin. What is sin? Breaking God's word.
When we broke God's word, that is called sin by the Holy Bible.
Because of sin, death entered.
Romans 6.23, the wages of sin is death. Now death entered through sin, and when death entered through sin, where did it take me? Death took me to hell. Because sinners cannot make it to God's kingdom.
There is only hell left for them.
So the shadow of death is hell. Now which one is stronger, death or hell? Definitely death. Definitely hell.
I beg your pardon.
Hell is much stronger than death.
Maybe when somebody dies, there is a possibility for them to come back from death. But when somebody goes to hell, it is impossible to come out of it.
And look at the psalmist. He says, Yea though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, even though.
I walk in hell through hell, I will fear no Satan. For you are Jesus Christ, the Lord is my shepherd. He begins the psalm with the Lord who is my shepherd. And who is the Lord who is my shepherd?
His name is.
Rains and dews forever. Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. Yes, though I walk through.
The valley of the shadow of death, even.
Though I walk through hell, I will fear no evil, no Satan, no phallus.
For you, Jesus Christ, who is my shepherd, is with me. And how are you with me, Lord Jesus?
He said, your staff and your rod, they comfort me.
Let me tell you, and I'll finish off on this.
Sadly said, the rod.
Is this way, horizontal.
Why?
Because the rod.
Is used for disciplinary action like in the olden days they used to smack us with the rod.
Behave. It is this way. The staff is for the shepherd to lean on when he is tired. It is vertical.
The staff is vertical and the rod is horizontal. When you put the staff and the rod together, you get the cross.
Lord, when I'm.
Tired, the world is giving me hell. The world is giving me burdens. The world is giving me persecutions. The world is giving me darkness.
I am tired, Lord.
I can't Take it anymore. I am beyond my limit. Lord, it is a heavy load on my shoulders.
I am about to collapse.
Lord, where are you?
The Lord runs and says, Hold on to my staff.
Lean on me. I am your good shepherd. Lean on me.
But my son, Since I purchased you with my own blood, you're mine. So every time you do something wrong, I will have to discipline you.
I'll use the rod. When you're tired, I'm a staff. And when you are in the wrong, I am the rod. But you see, that's what true love is all about. True love is, if you truly love the person, you will give them the truth, not the lie.
If you truly love.
The person, you will say no to them sometimes because they are wrong.
The world....
The world teaches you on how to build beautiful houses. But the Lord came to give you a home, my beloveds.
A home.
The world teaches you to be successful.
But the Lord, through his beloved church, teaches you on how to be saved.
Not successful.
He says, my child, even though you walk through the impossible hell, my cross will bring you out of there. You know why? Because my cross is love. Love changes hell into heaven. When you face the Lord Jesus Be like a baby. And when you face the world, be a warrior, not a baby.
When you face the Lord, be a baby.
And what does the baby do when.
Mom or dad leaves the room without him? World War III erupts.
The baby will never stop crying, screaming until daddy comes back and picks.
Me up and hugs me and takes me with him. You ask the baby, where are you going with dad? I don't know.
How long are you going to be with dad?
I don't know.
Who are you going to meet with dad?
I don't know and simply I don't care. What matters to me is I am with dad. So if dad takes me to hell, so be it. If dad takes me to heaven, then so be it. It is not the place that matters, it is daddy that matters.
I don't look for position in the church, I look for.
Christ, the owner of the church.
You wanna serve the Lord, you better love Him, not love the position.
He's given you. You need to erase for Christ to be seen. Be a baby when you face the Lord. A baby without parents washing that baby. Without parents feeding that baby. Without parents clothing that baby. Without parents nurturing that baby. The baby will 100% die.
Do we as Christians say, without you Lord, I'm dead? Do we?
Do we confess it? Do we acknowledge it? Or do we sometimes say, you know Lord, sometimes I can do it. And when I need you, I'll.
Call upon you. It does not work. You're a baby. And without Heavenly Dad, I'm dead.
But when you face the world, be wise. Not ignorant like a baby.
Be strong. Be a warrior for the Lord. Why?
Because the one who is in you is much greater than the one who is in the world.
Love the Lord. Love one another.
The cross, vertical, my relationship with God has to come first in order my relationship with my neighbor is healthy.
That is the cross. Relationship with God, then with men.
A relationship with men without God is a miserable failure. A relationship built on Christ, then with men and with people around me, that relationship will never fail.
And at the end, I'll definitely leave you with this.
You know that in Sydney, every time I say I'll leave you with this, they all laugh because they know they will never hear the end of it.
But definitely I'll leave you with this. Destiny at the end, my beloved.
1 Corinthians 13, 13 says, For there are three things that shall remain in every one of us, Saint Paul says. That is faith, hope and love. But the greatest of all is love.
Why? Because God is love. But why is the.
Greatest of all is love?
If I ask any Christian, what is your hope?
They will say, my hope is to get to.
The kingdom of God. That's what I'm hoping for. I'm hoping to get to the kingdom. And one day the Lord Jesus by His grace calls me to His kingdom and I reach the kingdom.
When I reach the.
Kingdom, I don't need hope anymore, because what I was hoping for, I'm already there. Hope is no longer needed. And what is your faith as a Christian? My faith is to be seated at His right hand, in His glory, in His kingdom. Now the Lord says, sit down at My right hand. Now I'm sitting, I don't need faith anymore, because I am witnessing it.
I don't need to believe in it anymore. But you need one thing to remain with God forever.
Love. Because simply you cannot live with somebody you do not love.
It's hell.
You can only live with the one you love. It takes love to stay with God for eternities. God gave us the opportunity to taste that love on earth. That short moment of my life on earth is to get the taste of that love. So that when I get to heaven, I don't get a shock. He's given me a sneak preview. If I'm not able to love the Lord on earth, I won't have the time to love him in heaven.
Get ready. To love Him today. And the way you can love Him, get to know Him.
He is the Word. The Word must be heard. And when you hear it, you believe it. And when you believe it, you get connected with it. And when you get connected with Christ, you get to know Him. And as you start knowing Him, you start loving Him. The more you know Him, the more you love Him. The more you love Him, the more you know Him. But the more you love Him and know Him, the more you suffer for Him. Just like He did for you.
Amen.
God bless you, my beloved people of Chicago.
