Today's title is the covenant of law and the covenant of grace. The covenant of law and the covenant of grace. And if we can have it on the screen, please. The covenant of law and the covenant of grace. This is our topic for this evening. I hope we can finish it all in today's session. I pray for that. Okay.

Where did this covenant, the covenant of law and the covenant of grace come from? When we look in the gospel according to St. John, chapter 1, verse 17, John 1, 17 says, For the law was given through Moses, but grace and truth came through Jesus Christ. For the law was given through Moses, but grace and truth came through Jesus Christ. From this verse, 17 of John chapter 1, we find that there are two kind of covenants. Number one, the covenant of law, and number two, the covenant of grace.

Covenant of law is represented by Moses being the first of the Old Testament prophets to And also by John the Baptist being the last of the Old Testament prophets. Moses is considered to be the receiver of the law. God gave Moses the law. Also the Ten Commandments on Mount Sinai. And Moses wrote the five books of Torah or the books of law. Being Genesis, Exodus, Leviticus, Numbers and Deuteronomy. So... Moses is considered to be the receiver of the law, whereas John the Baptist is considered to be the one declaring that the law has been fulfilled as a law. So Moses receiving the law, John the Baptist declaring the law has been fulfilled as a law.

That is the covenant of law. The covenant of grace is Is the covenant of Jesus Christ of Nazareth. All glory to his holy and mighty name. The covenant of grace is the covenant of Jesus Christ of Nazareth. Now what is a covenant? The word covenant is a solemn binding agreement or promise between people. is a solemn binding agreement or promise between people. And every agreement takes place between two parties or more. But every agreement has to be minimum two parties, otherwise can't agree unless there is more than one. So that agreement is between two parties.

When any of the parties When any of the parties involved are in breach of covenant, the covenant is broken or ruined. When any of the parties are in breach of that covenant, that covenant is broken or ruined. The Old Testament covenant was between God and the people through Moses. So the Old Testament covenant was between God and people through Moses. God was faithful, but people were not. So if any of the parties are in breach of the covenant, that covenant is destroyed, it is ruined. The Old Testament covenant was between God and people. God was faithful, but people were not. When the Israelite nation saw the Mount Sinai The mountain was covered with smoke, Mount Sinai. When they saw it covered with smoke, they said to Moses,

you go up. We're not going up. You know what? Your God looks like he is the God of, he's a consuming fire. We are afraid to go up. You go up and talk to this God. And whatever God says to you, we promise Moses, we will do whatever God tells you. We will do it. Moses went up into the mountain and while he was climbing up, Moses said to himself, I am exceedingly afraid and trembling. Hebrews 12, 21.

I am exceedingly afraid and trembling while he was going up, not knowing what to expect, seeing all that fire, the smoke. He said, my goodness, I'm going to be consumed by this mighty God. The people or the Israelite nation who remained at the foot of the mountain, they broke the covenant even prior to receiving it from Moses. What did they do? They made a golden calf and worshipped this golden calf. And they said, this is your God or Israel that brought you out of the land of Egypt.

Exodus 32 falls. Oh, this is your God or Israel who brought you out of the land of Egypt, this golden calf, this statue man made. Did this calf get you out of Israel or was it the hand of the mighty, almighty living God of Israel? How quickly have you forgotten who got you out of Israel and then You're referring it to this calf being that God that took you out of the bondage of Pharaoh and the slavery of Egypt. Incredible. Incredible. All of us lived in the time of what I call nakedness. All of us lived in the time of nakedness. That is being naked.

The time of the Old Testament covenant, which is the covenant of law. Under the covenant of law, all of us lived in the time of nakedness. Adam became naked. When did Adam find out that he was naked? When he broke God's word. And breaking God's word, the Holy Bible calls it sin. So when Adam sinned by breaking God's word, he realized that he is naked. Prior to that, he was naked, but he did not know that he was naked because he had not yet broken God's word.

So Adam broke God's word and found himself naked. And he made us all naked with him because all of us were in Adam. So Adam became naked. by breaking God's word and made us all naked. And humanity ended with God flooding the entire world at the time of the great flood. At the time of the great flood, because of the nakedness of the human race, i.e. because of the sinful status of the human race, God brought the great flood and cleansed the entire world from the human race. Except Noah, his wife, his three sons, and his three daughters-in-law. Now, when the great flood came and cleansed everything, then it was a new creation that began with Noah. However, when Noah came out of the ark after the flood had receded and gone, Noah came out

of the ark, became drunk, and sinned once again. He became naked and made us all naked with him as well. Adam became naked and made us all naked. Noah became naked and made us all naked. The covenant of Noah continued till the time of Moses, which is the covenant of law. Moses represents the covenant of law. Here we see from our father Adam to Moses, there are three covenants.

The covenant with Adam, the covenant with Noah, and the covenant with Moses being the covenant of law. When Moses came down from the mountain and saw the people worshipping that golden calf, what did Moses say to his brother Aaron, the high priest? Aaron was the high priest selected by God and appointed through Moses. What did Moses say to his brother Aaron the high priest? Moses said, why did you make the people naked? Where do we read this?

In Exodus 32 25. Exodus 32 25. Now when Moses saw that the people were unrestrained. Unrestrained means naked. Sinning. And sin leads to nakedness. Spiritual nakedness. So when Moses saw that the people were unrestrained. For Aaron had not restrained them to their shame among their enemies. So Aaron let the people of Israel make that golden calf and worship that golden calf and say, this is your God, O Israel, that brought you out of the land of Egypt.

Aaron was the reason not only for him to be naked, but he also made the entire Israelite nation naked with him as well. And from here we see that Adam became naked, sinned and made us all naked. Noah became naked, sinned and made us all naked. Aaron the high priest became naked, sinned and made all of us naked. Then the covenant of grace came. Jesus Christ of Nazareth. And when the covenant of grace came, that is Jesus Christ of Nazareth, what did the Lord Jesus do? He went up on the cross naked to cover us all with the dress of his righteousness. He went up on the cross naked in order to cover our nakedness and dress us all with the best rope. According to Luke chapter 15, the prodigal son, where the father says, put on him

the best rope. The best rope is Jesus Christ of Nazareth. The dress of righteousness. And this is why the Lord Jesus went on the cross naked. Because we were all naked. He became naked so we become clothed. And our nakedness, shame, be covered by his righteousness. Now, the covenant of grace, being a covenant, it is an agreement between two parties.

Like we said earlier, that the covenant of law, word covenant means it's an agreement between two parties. So the covenant of grace is also an agreement between two parties. We mentioned earlier that the covenant of law was an agreement, was a covenant between God and people. But the covenant of grace is a covenant between the Father and the Son.

It is between the Father, God the Father, and God the Son. No more people. Why no more people? Because God gave people a chance to be faithful. They all broke God's word. They were all unfaithful. So God says, I need to save you. And the only way to save you, I need the other party to be as faithful as I am God the Father. And the only one I found to be as faithful as me is my son. Therefore, in the New Testament, I entered into a covenant of grace between me, I God the Father, and between my begotten beloved son, Jesus Christ of Nazareth. Now, Since this covenant is between the Father and the Son.

If we enter it. And if we come in between the two. We will ruin the covenant. In other words. If we stick our noses where it doesn't belong. We will destroy everything good. Now the Father says. I want. The son says, yes, amen. The father is talking to the son. The father says, I want you to do this.

The son replies and says, yes, father, amen. You see. In us, there is two things. There is the yes and there is the no. In Jesus Christ of Nazareth, the Son of Man, not the Son of God. The Son of God is God. But as the perfect man, in Jesus, there are two things. Just like us, we have two things, yes and no. But in Jesus, there is the yes and there is the amen. In Jesus, there is no such thing as no. When it comes to his dad. Whatever dad says to him, Jesus always says, yes dad, amen dad. Yes dad, amen dad. Jesus go, yes dad. Jesus come, amen dad. Jesus talk, yes dad.

Jesus be quiet, amen dad. God talks to us and says, come here my child. No dad, I'm not coming. That's why we are not faithful. We're not loyal because we have the no in us. Now, and where did we get that in Jesus there is the yes and the amen from the Holy Bible? We thank the Lord for his holy book. Because it is the perfect word of God.

You will find everything in there. St. Paul says about the Lord Jesus in his epistle to the Corinthians. 2nd Corinthians chapter 1 verse 20. Look at St. Paul. Amazing. For all the promises of God in him. In him meaning Jesus Christ of Nazareth. For all the promises of God in him are yes and in him amen. to the glory of God through us. So in Jesus, St.

Paul says, there is the yes and there is the amen. 2 Corinthians 1, verse 20. Now the Lord Jesus accomplished everything completely and perfectly. While on earth, the Lord Jesus walked on earth without a watch. Why? Because he was walking with With his father's watch. Not his. He was walking. With his father's watch. How? People came to the Lord Jesus.

And said you need to go. You need to talk. He would reply and say. My hour hasn't come yet. Which hour? In accordance with my dad's watch. I walk. I walk. I talk, I do things when my father's hour has come. Until that hour has not come, the whole world talks, I'll do nothing. I'll do nothing. However, when that hour would come, without people saying anything to him, he would say, let's go, the hour has come. This is our Lord Jesus Christ who fulfilled everything. I'll give you an example how the Lord Jesus, while on earth, how precise, in detail his life was. Amazing. He was the perfect man. Not only the perfect God, but as the human being, he was so precise, so accurate, so in detail. He was like God as a human being.

So perfect. I'll give you an example. While the Lord Jesus was hanging on the cross, He had to fulfill everything. Now this is the final, the final moment here. He is hanging on the cross about to give his last breath and die in the flesh. Prior to that physical biological death, he had to fulfill every single prophecy that was prophesied about the coming of the Messiah. Let me tell you, there was about around roughly 303 prophecies that were mentioned about the Messiah. When he comes, he will fulfill them all. And from the time of Moses to Malachi, there is a time frame of about, it's a fifth from the time of Moses, sorry, to the time of the Lord Jesus coming is a period of about 1500 years.

1500 years. Moses prophesied. Ezekiel prophesied. Isaiah prophesied. Daniel prophesied. Zechariah. They all prophesied. Malachi prophesied. Different times. Different locations. Different eras. Different centuries. Over 303 prophecies. The Lord fulfilled them all in three and about half years only. In three and a half years. the Lord Jesus fulfills all the prophecies.

And there was one last prophecy, a little tiny one left for him to fulfill before he gives his last breath on the cross. What was it? There is a verse that says, And for my thirst, they gave me vinegar to drink. Psalm 69, 21. And for my thirst, they gave me vinegar to drink. Psalm 69, 21. Now what is the problem with this verse, 69, 21 of Psalm?

And in my thirst, they gave me vinegar to drink. If the Lord had drank the vinegar, it would have made him a bit numb. Meaning, this would have resulted in slightly alleviating his suffering or his pain. If he had drank that vinegar, it would have made him a little bit numb and then would have alleviated some of that suffering of his. However, the Lord Jesus had to endure all pain To the fullest. No relief. Whatsoever. Not even a drop. But it's a prophecy. In my thirst, they gave me vinegar to drink. He needs to drink it.

And if he doesn't drink it, he is breaking the prophecy of David, Psalm 69, 21. And if he breaks that prophecy, that means he will no longer qualify to be the Savior and the Redeemer of the world. Because one of the conditions for Jesus Christ to be the Savior and the Redeemer of the entire world, he must fulfill all prophecies without fail. So now, what did the Lord Jesus do while hanging on the cross? He says, I thirst. Because if he hadn't said that, they wouldn't have given him anything to drink. You with me? And if they wouldn't give him anything to drink, then he's breaching Psalm 69, 21. So he had to bring it to their attention, to the soldiers. He says, I thirst.

I thirst. Look what happens here. Now this is a thousand years later from the prophecy of King David. It's a thousand years later. The Lord hasn't forgotten that David prophesied a thousand years prior to his coming. If he's not God, then I just wonder then who is? Can you remember what you did yesterday completely, fully? In order to remember a thousand years? Only God can. Only God can.

Jesus is the only way. Yeah? Please. His life on earth was sinless. Perfect. Everything about him is perfect. Why don't you follow him and get on with your life? Please. You'll do yourself the biggest favor. Stop searching elsewhere. You will never find anyone anywhere near Jesus Christ of Nazareth. It's impossible. Impossible. He says, I thirst. Now look in John chapter 19, verses 28 to 30. Look at St. John.

He's writing. He is writing over a thousand years after David. John chapter 19, verse 28. After this, Jesus knowing that all things were now accomplished, that the scripture... Might be fulfilled said I thirst So that the scripture might be fulfilled. He said I thirst why because psalm 69 21 says in my thirst They gave me vinegar to drink he needed to fulfill that prophecy That's why he had to say I thirst in order for scripture to be fulfilled Incredible incredible my beloved verse 29 of John 19 now a vessel full of sour wine. Sour wine is vinegar, my beloved. Now my question is, those Roman soldiers, like, why didn't they put water? Why didn't they put Coca-Cola? Milk?

Why vinegar? Out of all liquid, why did they put vinegar? They didn't know what they were doing, but they were told what to do by God the Father. Because everything is controlled by God the Father. If it wasn't my Father, you wouldn't have had any authority to even touch me, let alone to put your hand on me and bring me to judgment. But God the Father was in control.

He put in their heart to fill that vessel with vinegar. Because Psalm 69, 21 says, must be fulfilled. Jesus Christ is the Messiah to fulfill all prophecies. They put in the vessel after a thousand years, vinegar. Wow. Now a vessel full of sour wine, vinegar was sitting there and they filled a sponge with sour wine, put it on hyssop and put it to his mouth. Verse 30. So when Jesus had received the sour wine vinegar, he said, it is finished. That was the last prophecy I needed to fulfill. That was the last one. It is finished.

And bowing his head, he gave up his spirit. If anyone can tell me, what do you learn from this verse? So when Jesus... had received the sour wine, vinegar, he said, it is finished. And bowing his head, he gave up his spirit. What do you know? What is this verse about? Anyone? What have you noticed here? And bowing his head, and he gave up his spirit. I'll tell you, it's all right.

For us to know that Jesus Christ is in control of everything, even the death of the cross. And he's in control even of death. He's in charge of death. He's in charge of everything. I'll ask you this. When a person dies, what happens to the head of that person? Goes down, doesn't it? Jesus here, and bowing his head, he gave up his spirit. He bowed his head first, then gave up the last breath. Meaning, I laid myself in that grave. I will take myself out of that grave.

Death cannot put my head down. I put it in control of everything and I lift my head up in control of everything. Death will not conquer in order for death to make my head bow down because death has no authority over me for one simple reason because I'm the only human being that is sinless and death only has authority over sinners, not sinless people. This is why death could not put my head down. It was I who willingly put it and I who willingly will take it out. I was in control of every single moment of the cross. I'm in control. I laid my head down and then I gave up the last spirit. Death can't put my head down. No one can put my head down. Because no one can say, Jesus, you made a mistake. I challenge you. Find one mistake in me.

You will not find one. That's why I will always be with the head up. But I put it down for you. So that your head gets lifted up. Now, in the gospel according to St. John, he reveals to us that Jesus Christ, our Lord, received that sour wine, which is vinegar, to fulfill Psalm 69, 21. However, in Matthew 27, 34, shows us that he tasted it, but would not drink it. Why? Because if he drinks it, it's going to make him a bit numb. He's not going to feel the pain in its fullness, but he needs to drink it in order to fulfill Psalm 69, 21.

He tasted it to say, I've drank it, tasting it, drinking it. It's the same thing. You can't say you didn't touch it I did I tasted it that's all I fulfilled Psalm 69 21 but I didn't drink it because I needed to fulfill Isaiah 63 3 and what does Isaiah 63 3 say I have trodden the wine press alone Now, who is speaking here? The Holy Spirit through Isaiah. And who is the Holy Spirit speaking of here in Isaiah 63, 3? Jesus. I have trodden the winepress alone. In the olden days, the winepress, my beloved, it was a little sort of circle in the ground.

They would put all the grape clusters in there. And somebody would walk in there barefooted and start talking. walking on those clusters and crushing them all where the juice comes out and there was vents in few places in that pond and the juice of that grape would go out. They'll collect it in pots, put it away for fermentation and then turns into wine. So that grape was crushed.

The Lord Jesus is saying in Isaiah 63, 3, I, meaning I, Jesus, have trodden the winepress alone. What did the Lord Jesus give us? His blood. How did he give us his blood? Out of what? Your wine. And where does wine come from? Grapes. So who is the Lord Jesus here resembled by? The grapes. Just like those grapes get crushed, so as Jesus, the true grape got crushed on the cross. His blood from head to toe gushed out. He was, he trotted on that cross alone, meaning I had to feel the entire pain alone with no intervention, neither from my father nor from a sour wine vinegar. Nothing was going to give me a relief because Isaiah 63 says I needed to go through the pain of the cross fully alerted. So I tasted the wine,

the vinegar, to fulfill Psalm 69, 21. But I did not drink that sour wine to fulfill Isaiah 63, 3. In the last moment, and him hanging on the cross, he fulfills two prophecies just out of a simple thing called drinking vinegar. Wow. Wow. The Lord Jesus is very precise in everything. He is perfect in everything and amazing in everything. To him be all glory, honor, and worship forever and ever and ever. And I want to hear a huge amen. One more time. One more time. One more time. The covenant of grace became on the cross between the Father and the Son. Now, here we say, then what is my role? Like, where am I out of all this? So if the covenant is between the Father and the Son, then what is my role? My

role is one thing. Deny myself and enter and be fully covered by the sun. Deny myself and enter and be fully covered by the sun. And say along with St. Paul, I have been crucified with Christ. It is no longer I who live, but Christ lives in me. That is my role. I have been crucified with Christ. It is no longer I who live, but Christ lives in me.

This is the role of whoever says, I receive Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior over my life. If you call yourself a Christian and you claim to be a Christian and a follower of Jesus Christ, You are not living for yourself anymore. You are living for the one who died for you, purchased you with his own precious blood and rose from the dead for your sake. Because the covenant of the New Testament is between the Father and the Son. If you come and enter between them, since we are not faithful, we will break the covenant.

All of us will end up in hell. We're going to die an eternal death, total separation from the Almighty God. So my role is I deny myself and say I don't live for myself anymore. I live for you Lord Jesus. May you live in me and I live for you no longer for me and no longer for anyone else no longer for the world. As a Christian why are you imitating the world? As a Christian Why are you living like the world? As a Christian, why are you walking in the ways of the world? You don't belong there.

You don't belong there. You don't belong in the club. You belong in the church. You don't belong in the street. You belong in the house of the Lord. You don't belong where there is foul language. You belong where there is praising. And pure language. You don't belong in the darkness. You belong in the light. For your Messiah is the light of the world. You don't belong with Satan. You belong with Jesus Christ of Nazareth. That is the covenant.

It's between the Father and the Son. This is why my beloved... When any church leader like me lives for themselves, they destroy themselves and the flock of Christ with them. 100%. Because I can't fulfill the covenant with God the Father. Only the Son can. What happened to the Israelite people? None of them entered the promised land. except to Joshua and Caleb. Out of the entire Israelite people, none of them entered the promised land. Why? Because all of them broke and were in breach of that covenant. So now God says, I'm going to enter with my son. And whoever receives my son, that is the only way to remain in the covenant. Of grace. Of the New Testament.

And for this very reason, the Lord Jesus put this non-negotiable condition from the very start. When any person comes and says, Jesus, I believe in you. I want to be with you. I want to receive you as my Lord, my God, my King, my Savior, my Redeemer. The moment you say this to Jesus Christ of Nazareth, the Lord will turn prior to you, putting one foot, forward in his way he will say carry the cross and follow me.

If you don't carry the cross and follow me you cannot follow me because the covenant is between the father and his son Jesus Christ of Nazareth. This is the only one whom the father found to be sinless, faithful loyal to the father and the only one who is able to fulfill the entire covenant with God the father he says you need to follow Jesus Christ of Nazareth by carrying your cross and what is the cross death and what is death biblically speaking self-denial When a person dies, far from all of you, they are no longer in existence.

Do you see them anymore? No. Do you hear them anymore? No. They are no longer on earth. They're gone. Meaning, I don't live for myself, but Christ who lives in me. I don't exist for myself. No longer me, me, me. It is Christ, whatever he says, I have to do. That's why this condition for the Lord is non-negotiable. Carry the cross, meaning you need to die fearlessly. old person in order to be embedded in the new person called Jesus Christ of Nazareth. Now why I need to be crucified?

My beloveds, this is a bit of a theological statement here. If you want to know what theology is all about, this is a small taste of it. Our father Adam ate from the forbidden tree, the tree of the knowledge of good and evil. Where God said to him, don't eat from this tree. The day you eat, surely you shall die. When Adam ate from the forbidden tree, that action which our father Adam took upon himself, we did not inherit. Meaning, It is none of my business and it's not my problem for my father Adam to have eaten from the tree. That is his problem, his responsibility.

God said to him, don't eat, he ate. Nothing to do with me. But something happened when Adam ate from the forbidden tree. Something was born in him that never existed before called I am. Me. Prior to Adam breaking God's word, who was Adam's I am? God. When Adam ate from the tree, what did Adam say to God?

From this moment onward, I, Adam, do it my way, not your way. In Adam was born the I am. But this I am of Adam is the false God. And this is why God pre-warned Adam out of love. The day that comes, my son Adam, you do things your way, your beginning will be good, but your end, rest assured, will be evil. You will end up killing yourself by yourself. And let me see, when you look around and see people doing it their way, not God's way, where do they end up? All of them dead. All of them dead, all of them destroyed. When a son does not listen to his dad and goes out and does whatever he wishes, he either end up with drugs, alcohol, gambling, men, women, and then either in prison or being shot dead. Is

there anything else? Impossible. Why? Because God never lies. Never lies. You do it your way, child. The beginning is beautiful. It's good. Wow. This is the first time I've ever had fun in my life. I was imprisoned. I was enslaved at home. Mom and dad suffocated me. Did not leave me to breathe. What are you doing? Where are you going? When are you coming? Leave me alone. I went with my friends. We sat in the car with the big Sabufa Khabibi in the backseat going wah wah doof doof. And we were cruising down the highway. We got to the city at night and there was beautiful lights and stars in heaven. And then I saw stars walking past me by in King's Cross, brother. Different colors of stars. And I said, now you're talking baby. Now

this is life. Enjoy, bro. What happens after a little while? Bro, you're finished. You have destroyed your life, your future, your whole being. You are no longer you anymore. What happened? You look at yourself in the mirror, you don't recognize yourself anymore. I was that innocent young man at home. Now, I'm an evil doer. I was that innocent young girl at home. Now I am a master in every trade of Satan. When we don't listen, very dangerous. When we don't listen to our earthly parents, we destroy ourselves. Then how much more when we don't listen to our heavenly father?

Do we destroy ourselves? My beloved, the Lord says there is the I am in you. And there is only one other I am, and that is the true living God, the creator of everyone and everything that is visible and invisible. And there can only be one I am, two I ams at the same time, in the same place, can never work. It is either me, Jesus Christ, as your God, or either you, your own God. The two gods together will never work because what you believe, I don't. And what you think, I don't. And the way you walk, I don't. Everything about you, I disapprove. And the only solution that is left for me, Jesus Christ of Nazareth, to say to you with a non-negotiable condition, you must die to your old self in order to live for me,

Jesus Christ of Nazareth. Your I am must be buried alive. You must be crucified in order for the true I am who is Jesus Christ of Nazareth who says, before Abraham was, I am. You need to live in this I am. When we carry the cross, and we be submissive to the Lord Jesus, it is then and then only we enter the covenant of grace, which is Jesus Christ of Nazareth. My son, my daughter, I beg of you.

If you haven't experienced it, look around you and see the people that have experienced it. This world away from God. Where do they end up? Let me ask you this and please allow yourself to ask yourself this question and please search for the answer. You go to a concert. I'm not judging. You go to a concert. Some Hollywood celebrity came from America to Sydney. And there is a huge concert in Sydney Stadium. The tickets are sold out.

You're trying to get one in the black market. It was $ 50 online. And now you're trying to pay $ 500 just to get in even if you sit at the last row at the top where you don't see much. But you want to be there. You're paying money to be in a place that gives you nothing but poison. Hollywood, root of evil. The root of evil, Illuminati's. It was established deliberately to brainwash millions upon millions of young men and women's brains and take them away from the true divine God. That's what Hollywood is all about. Don't ever say this celebrity and that one. I'm scared of life, man.

Anybody enters Hollywood is destroyed before they leave it. Yes, they make you a billionaire. Yes, they make you famous. But they take your spirit from you. And they take you from God. What have you gained? What have you gained? What does it benefit a man if he gains the whole world? But at the end loses it. The Lord says.

You go to that concert. You pay money. And you spend hours upon hours upon hours trying frantically to be there. And you don't want it to finish. After 10 hours you said, oh what a shame. It finished so quickly. But the Lord invites you to his holy house, the church, for free. To give you not death. To give you eternal life for free. And you don't want to come back.

For free. And sit for an hour or two. Especially when the bishop is preaching. It goes just over two hours. But you don't want to stay in the church. For an hour or two for free. To gain eternal life. But you run. And pay money. And energy. And time. To gain the poison of the snake. And eventually die.

You're running there. But you're not running to Christ. We ask ourselves this question, why? The Lord... through Isaiah the prophet is talking to the Israelite nation but in a way he is upset, he is hurt out of love. He said come let's engage in a dialect. Let me see what is it that I have not yet done for you, O Israelite nation. I have cleansed the land.

From anything that is of no use. I have planted my vine yard. My vine tree. I have put everything that you needed. I gave you everything that you needed. You did not lack anything. But at the end, why you choose not to love me? Why? I gave you everything. I've done everything for you. Why are you not loving me?

And to the Christian world, what else could I do more than dying on the cross for all of you? What else? Are you asking me to do? I gave you the ultimate, my life. I died. I can't give anymore. There is nothing more precious than my life. I, Jesus Christ of Nazareth. I gave it freely, willingly on the cross just to save you. Then why aren't you coming, running to me? Why do you run to Satan and you don't want to run to Jesus Christ? What else?

What else can I do for you? I have no idea. My children, look around you and see people that have denied me and walked away from me. Look how they ended up, where they ended up. Life destroyed, either in prison or a bullet in the head. Nothing else. Come to the Lord to find yourself, to find the true love.

Let me build you up. Let me show you the way. Let me keep you in my light, in my truth. Enough lies. The world is nothing but a lie. They will lie in your face. They will give you all the promises but at the end it is a poison because the world is ruled by the old snake called Satan. And what are you going to get out of the snake but poison, my child? A snake does one thing, tries to kill. That's all. Come to the Lamb of God who died for you to give you Eternal life.

Eternal life. Eternal life. From this very perspective comes the covenant of law and the covenant of grace. Now, very quickly, I know you're already tired. By the way, before I start, is it hot or is the temperature okay? Okay. Look, if it's hot, then it's just my presence. No, you know, no hard feelings. You know, when I used to do a long time ago, Bible preach for youth, you know, especially the youngsters, I used to say, Hey, my name is Bishop Murray. I'm single and available. I'm hot. You're not. Okay.

Thank you very much. Very good. Just to break the ice. And if anybody's going to sleep, please wake up and don't go to sleep on me. Now, From this very perspective comes the covenant of law and the covenant of grace. Now we're going to put here both covenants in a comparison table in three integral aspects. Number one. We're going to put the covenant of the law and the covenant of grace in the integral aspect of the beginning. Number two, the end. Number three, the essence. It's not on the screen, unfortunately.

The beginning, the end, and the essence of both covenants. Now let's come and see what each covenant did as far as beginning is concerned, as far as the end is concerned, and as far as the essence of the covenant is. Let's come to the first one. The beginning, the law in its beginning and grace in its beginning.

The law in its end and the grace in its end and the law in its essence and the grace in its essence. Let's come to the first one. The law in its beginning. What happens? After Moses grounded that golden calf to the to powder, sorry. When Moses grounded that golden calf to powder and scattered it on the waters and made the people drink those waters. See? From the very hands of your labor, you shall eat and drink, brother.

What you do is what you're going to get at the end. So I scattered it on the face of the water and I made the people drink from what they have done. Now, some people in the Israelite nation said, oh well, Moses, like you demolished the golden calf. Hey, we can make another one. We don't want to repent.

After coming to church, no, I still like the club. After drinking the blood of the Lamb of God, I still like the worldly wine. After coming and praising the Lord, I still want to swear in the world. Okay, so what did Moses do? He said, he stood one day and addressed the entire Israelite nation. He said, if anybody out of you wishes to choose the Lord, come and stand next to me. A lot of people came, but there was one tribe called Levi The tribe of Levi.

The entire tribe of Levi came and stood next to Moses. They chose the Lord through Moses. Moses turned to the Levites. He said, now... I want you to carry the sword and walk in the midst of the entire Israelite nation and ask them, do you wish to make a golden calf again? Anybody says yes, kill that person. And if that person happens to be your dad, your mom, your brother, your sister, your wife, your husband, you kill them without hesitation.

Anybody wishes to build and make that calf again, kill them. The Israelite nation, The Levite tribe took the sword and went and asked the people of the Israelite nation, do you want to make the calf again? They said, yes. They killed that person. In that day, they killed about 3,000 people. In that day, they killed about 3,000 people. The law in its beginning killed 3,000 people. Let's come and see the grace in its beginning. The Holy Spirit descended on the disciples. Simon Peter got up, stood and preached. In one hour, he brought 3,000 people to Christ. The covenant of law in its beginning killed 3,000 people. The covenant of grace in its beginning saved and gave life eternal to 3,000 people. And here the Holy Bible says that

the law is capable of killing you. But grace is capable of saving you and giving you eternal life. Which one do you want to live and walk under? under the mercy of the law or under the mercy of grace. If you walk under the mercy of the law, meaning you do things your way, the law will judge you and the law will sentence you to eternal death, total separation from God. But if you choose willingly to walk under the mercy of grace, you are walking under the covenant of the New Testament between the Father and the Son.

When you receive Jesus, And say, Lord, let me live you. Let me follow you. Let me walk in your footsteps. Grace will give you eternal life. Now, so the beginning of the law, death. The beginning of grace, life. Now let's come to the end of the covenant of law. At the end of the covenant of the law, it is the book of Malachi. He is the last prophet of the Old Testament covenant. When you go to the book of Malachi, the last prophet, and you go to the last chapter, being chapter 4, and the last verse being verse 6, you will read the following. God is saying in Malachi the last prophet of the Old Testament law and in the last chapter 4 and in the last verse 6 God is saying there lest I come and strike the earth with curse The covenant of law

ends with a curse. Let's see the covenant of grace. What does it end with? What is the end of the covenant of grace? Book of Revelation chapter 22, the last chapter and the last verse 21. We read in Revelation 22, 21, the grace of our Lord Jesus Christ be with you all. Amen. The end of the covenant of law, curse. The end of the covenant of grace, grace.

You want to be cursed or do you want to be graced by the almighty God? The choice is yours. The last one, the essence of law and the essence of grace. Let's come to the essence of of the covenant of law. What is the essence of the covenant of law? We find it in two places in the Old Testament. One in Deuteronomy 6.5 and the other one in Leviticus 19.18. Deuteronomy 6.5 says the following. This is the essence of the law. You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart, with all your soul, and with all your strength. And in Leviticus 19.18, you shall love your neighbor as yourself. This is the essence and the heart of the Old Testament law or the covenant of law. You shall love God with all yourself

and you shall love your neighbor like yourself. Now let's see the essence of the covenant of grace. For God so loved the world that he gave his only begotten son that whoever believes in him should not perish but have everlasting life. John 5. 3.16 The essence of the covenant of grace. What did you notice here? The essence of the covenant of the law. You must love God.

But the essence of the covenant of grace. God is the one who is loving you. Not you loving him. The Old Testament says you must love God. The New Testament says God loved you so much. He gave His only Son, begotten Son, so that whoever believeth in Him shall not perish but have everlasting life. We love Him because He loved us first from the very beginning. 1 John 4.19 The epistle of John, 1st epistle of John 4.19 We love Him because He first loved us. In the New Testament... It is not expected of you to love him.

It is God who came loving you. Why? Because God expected people to love him. All of them failed. No one was able to love God with all of their heart. If Adam had loved God wholeheartedly, he wouldn't have eaten from the forbidden tree. But for Adam to eat from the forbidden tree looks like his love was not fully for God. There was a percentage of love for himself.

That's why he did what he wanted, not what God wanted. But in the New Testament, the covenant is between the father and the son. The son says, I loved my dad with all of my heart. And I loved my neighbor like myself. I came to do not my will, but the will of my dad. Why? Because my love for my dad is perfect. There is no one little dot of love for me, I, Jesus. All of my love is for the father. And I loved my neighbor like myself. And I said, dad, Forgive them, for they do not know what they're doing. I loved them till the end, the death of the cross. I remained loving them.

You choose Christ, God will love you. And there is no other way for me and you to say we love God unless Christ is the crown of our glory, our king. Because it is only through Christ we are being enabled to love God. Because only Jesus loved him wholeheartedly. And whoever dwells in the Son, through the Son, you will love God wholeheartedly. It is the Lord that makes it 100 out of 100. And I'll leave you with this, my beloveds. You know, when you go to school and you get 50 out of 100, they'll say pass. Sometimes you get 49, they'll push you up. In God's school, you get 99.99999999, God says you got zero. It is either all or it is none. You break one law out of a million, God says you broke all the million. Why?

Because God is perfect. And since he's perfect, he cannot allow any imperfect, even if it's a dot, to enter his presence. It is either 100% or it is zero. So with God, you either get 100 or you get zero, even if you get with your own sweat and hard work 99.999, you will end up going to hell. Who got 100 out of 100? Jesus of Nazareth. That's why the father entered this covenant with the son who is perfect like him. Now when you have Jesus as your Lord and Savior, you try your hardest in that exam and you get 10 out of 100. Since Jesus, you've made your Lord and Savior, Jesus will add the other 90 And will say to his dad, dad, your child just got 100 out of 100. And then you say, oh, sorry, yes. Yes, yes, father,

I got 100 out of 100. What a liar. Jesus will add what we lack. You get a 50. The Lord will put the other 50. To enter heaven must be 100 out of 100. Otherwise, forget it. Only one who got 100 out of 100 in the flesh was Jesus Christ of Nazareth. No one. So if somebody says to you, you can go to God outside of Jesus, is a liar. He's a son of a snake and he follows Satan. Even if that person is someone like me, a Christian dressed up in this outfit. If he says that to you, then he is a son of a snake.

He's a liar. No one enters heaven unless you get 100 out of 100. And no one gets 100 out of 100 until you make Jesus Christ your Lord, your Savior, your King, your everything. So whatever you get out of 100, the Lord will add the other one. And he said to his dad, hey dad, look at your son, look at your daughter, man. Wow, amazing. Look at them. They all got 100 out of 100, dad. And the father will look. When you hide in the sun, reason why the Lord says carry the cross, because you need to die to yourself. When you die, you don't exist. Now your existence is Christ. Because when the father looks at the human race, he does not see any human except Jesus of Nazareth. Because all of humanity have failed him,

except one that never failed him. The son of man, the perfect man that was on earth like God. Sinless. This is my son in whom I am well pleased. To him you shall listen. This is my son. This is the son of man. I am pleased because in him all of me I got dwelt because he is perfect the way I want the human to be. And this was my heart's desire from the very beginning. When I came to create Adam, I created him on the standard of Jesus of Nazareth. I wanted all humanity to be the standard of Jesus. But we failed. Instead of becoming the son of God, we became the slaves to lust, to pleasure, to Satan, you name it. The image became distorted. Damaged.

The son came to make that image spotless one more time by shedding his precious blood. So when I carry the cross, I'm dying. I don't exist. Who is my existence? Jesus Christ. I enter in him. You who have been baptized into Christ have put on the Christ, Galatians 3.27. Putting on the Christ meaning he has covered me from head to toe. I'm no longer to be seen. When the father looks at me, he sees his beloved son Jesus.

I'm hidden in him. This is how I enter heaven. Entering heaven is when God the Father sees his beloved son Jesus. Not me, not you. If he sees me, he'll throw me in that everlasting fire. Because I'm a sinner. But when I'm covered in his son fully and come to heaven, the father looks and says, here comes my son.

The perfect son. So the son hides me in him and brings me to heaven. Hides me in him and brings me to heaven. This is the only way. Because entering heaven you need 100 out of 100. Who's going to get 100? You need to be sinless not only with action, with thoughts. We sin with thoughts more than with action. Because it's a lot easier to sin with thought than action. Action takes time. Thought doesn't. Split second.

So with a thought I went in a split second and chopped somebody's head. To do that, literally, I need to sit either in a car, motorbike, maybe a plane, go to the other side of the world and find him and then chop his head. It might take ease. But it took me one second. I chopped his head even if he was on the other side of the globe.

With thought, we sin endlessly. And we're in deep trouble. Without Jesus, Christ of Nazareth, forget it. So now, love the Lord. Come to the Lord. And whenever you fall, say, Lord, help me. Whenever you veer off the road, say, Lord, I need you more than ever. Whenever you sin, run to Him. Say, Lord, cleanse me, purify me. I can't do it without you, Lord. I'm a sinner, I admit.

I need the Savior. I need the Savior. Lord, if I don't have the time for you, make that time. I can't do it. You can. I've been trying to go to church for a long time. And every time I want to go, something happens, stops me. Lord, get rid of all the obstacles in my way. Clear the way, Lord. Don't let anything nor anyone to be a stumbling stone for me. I want to come and live for you, with you forever. Please, Lord. Don't let anyone take me away from you. Put in my heart to love you, to love your holy church and to be in your holy presence always more than ever before. Ask and it shall be given to you. Knock and the door shall open.

Seek and you shall find. Ask. Beg him. Knock at his door. by being honest to yourself and truthful to yourself. Tell him you're a sinner, you're not lying. And tell him what you've done, don't hide anything because he already knows. But he wants to hear it from you. He wants to hear it from you. He wants to see that you are honest with yourself. He wants to make sure that when you talk, you know exactly what you're saying.

You're not acting before him. Because the moment you act, he'll slap you. Until you confess, he'll keep on slapping you. You will never... ever find rest until you come to him honest to yourself, truthful to yourself, saying, Lord, I'm a sinner. I'm blind. I'm dead. I've done this, and I've done everything ugly under the sun. Lord, have mercy on me. Accept me, Lord, into your fold. With your precious blood, make me whiter than snow. Clothe my nakedness with your dress of righteousness. And the Lord will say, then why do you think I went on the cross naked?

I took your place. You are the one who is naked. Since I took your place, I had to go up naked and to give you my dress to cover your nakedness with my righteousness. And by the way, the word covenant is swapping places. I'll leave you with it. What is the difference between, you probably heard this before, Jesus Christ is the Savior and the Redeemer. What does that mean?

What's the difference between Savior and Redeemer? Something very profound. Savior, Good Friday. Redeemer, Sunday Resurrection. When the Lord Jesus says to anybody, your sins are forgiven, read the New Testament. He will say, go, your sins are forgiven. Go, your sins are forgiven. When the Lord rose from the dead, what did he say to Simon Peter? Come, not go.

So a savior will come and say, I forgave your sins. Go in peace. The redeemer will say, come, you are the son of God now. Inherit your father's house. Redeemer, Savior, I paid your debt. Sin caused me to be in debt. The Savior came to pay that debt with his precious blood. He paid the debt off. Now, I am now back to zero. I don't have anything. The Redeemer will come and say, now I came to swap you You take my place. I take your place. The son has all the treasures. All the access to everything. The redeemer gave me his position. His spot. He swapped me. So covenant is not just a contract. It's actually to do with life contract. More so. It's a life contract. So a covenant is, the Lord says, I gave you my life.

You give me your life. And my life was a crown of thorns. All sin from head to toe. I killed Jesus on the cross. It was my sin that killed him. And it was his righteousness that gave me resurrection and eternal life. Love the Lord Jesus. You're not going to find anyone like him, my beloveds. I'm not going to show you. My goodness, the Lord is incredible. Oh, he's incredible when you let him be. I beg you, son.

And I beg you, daughter. I beg of you. I beg of you. I beg of you. Yes, we are weak. In the flesh, we are weak. We get tempted left, right, and center. Whether it's through social media, whether it's through friends, whether through whatever, in a dream, going out, coming in, seeing this, seeing that, we get tempted left, right, and center.

And sometimes, and I pray not a lot of times, but sometimes the temptations are much bigger than us. We see ourselves extremely fragile and weak when we face them. And we fall. But. Man I like this word. So small. Yet so precious. But. A three letter word. That changes your destiny. Even though I have fallen so far. And so deep. But. Christ is the ever living Messiah. Still with you. Loves you. More than himself. Come to him.

Don't be stubborn. Don't lose hope. And don't say my sins are enormous. No one can help me. You're mistaken. Jesus can. With great ease. Just be honest and be willing to repent. And if you fall again he'll put you back on your feet. And if you fall again, he'll put you back on your feet. And if you fall again, he'll put you back on your feet. And if you fall and fall, he is the faithful one for every fall you make. He's the faithful one. He won't leave you for as long as you are not doing it intentionally it's coming out of weakness unintentionally and you ask for forgiveness and repentance the Lord will never ever let go of you He has engraved your name through the wounds and those nails that pierced his hands

and feet. Your name is engraved by those nails. No one can wipe your name from the wounds of Christ. No one. No one dares to go anywhere near there. That's where your name is engraved. Trust in that. Trust in the Messiah. My beloved, I can assure you Jesus is the living God. He's the living God. I can see so many people here that are carrying a lot of burdens. Man, I can see a lot. The Lord loves you. You're having some sort of a struggle with addictions, drugs, gambling, alcohol, pornography, men, Women can't handle it. As a young man, you see a young girl, you can't handle yourself. A young girl sees a handsome man, can't handle herself. You want money, you want wealth, you want fame, you want looks, you're

trying to be beautiful, you're forcing it. You're competing with your friend, you wanna be like them. There is a big competition happening. There is marital issues. There is family issues. You're having problems at work. Maybe you're struggling financially. Maybe you're struggling mentally. Maybe you're struggling emotionally. You had a bad relationship experience. It just broke. It just didn't work out.

And you walked away from it after a few years. And you are really hurt. Give it all to Christ. Whatever it is, give it all to Christ. Don't ever say, no, it's too late. I can't go back. I've been walking in this path for 10, 20, 30, 40, 50 years. Nothing is too late until the fat lady sings. It is never too late. You need to come back to the Lord Jesus no matter what. And if it's a life journey, He will change it before you blink your eyes.

He will change it. He will change it. He is God, the infinite God. There is no limit to what he can do, my beloved. Don't limit God to your intellect. He's much bigger than your intellect and much wiser. Don't think on his behalf. Let him do it. Come to church always. Receive the body and the blood of Christ regularly.

Read the Holy Bible. Pray. Fast. Be in the presence of the Lord Jesus. Come to Bible preach. Come to the Holy Mass service. Come. Come to Christ and ask Him to help you so that you continue coming to Him. Amen.
