And then verse 38 says he was referring to the Spirit, the Holy Spirit. So the Holy Spirit is resembled in the Holy Bible with water or by water. So the water resembles the Holy Spirit. I don't know if I can ask Father Daniel, do you know how to put slightly a reverb up, a touch, not too much, a touch. Hello?
The Holy Spirit. Yes, very good. Thank you. Thank you. Thank you. The Holy Spirit is resembled with water. Now, what was that great day, the last day of the feast? Which feast was that? It was the Feast of Tabernacles. The Feast of Tabernacles, my beloved, is equivalent to the Feast of Transfiguration in the New Testament. You see, the New Testament goes hand in hand with the Old Testament.
It is the continuation of the Old Testament. It is the completion of the Old Testament. As St. Augustine puts it so beautifully and eloquently in relation to the Old and the New Testament, he says the following, He says the New Testament is the Old Testament is the New Testament concealed and the Old Testament is the New Testament revealed.
So it is a completion. They complete each other. So there was a feast in the Old Testament called tabernacles that equates to transfiguration in the New Testament. On the feast of tabernacles, the Israelite nation said, would go out of the holy city Jerusalem and pitch a tent for the first time, a white colored tent. Normally they would live in a black tent, but on the feast of tabernacles, the tent must be white. And that white color or that white tent symbolizes the Lord Jesus himself. It's a long story. But that white tent symbolizes the Lord Jesus. Meaning, when you go inside the tent, you're hiding inside of it.
You are no longer to be seen because you are covered fully by the tent. I.e., transfiguration is where the Lord Jesus took Simon Peter and the two sons of Zebedee and they went up on the Mount of Tabor where the Lord transfigured. His clothes became whiter than snow and his face shined brighter. brighter than the sun. That transfiguration or tabernacles is the second coming of the Lord Jesus where he reigns, rules and covers everyone. Every knee and every tongue. Every knee will bow and every tongue will confess Jesus Christ as the Lord of all lords and the King of all kings. So on that last day of the great feast, tabernacles, transfiguration i.e. the second return of the Lord. He says, if you're thirsty, come,
I'll give you water, but living waters. If you believe in me, I will give you living waters that will flow out of your heart. We notice in chapter 7 and 8, the Holy Trinity is very vividly clear mentioned. One, the living water and it says, and the Lord was referring to the Holy Spirit. And then he says, I and the Father are together. So the Holy Trinity is very clear. When people say, where is it mentioned that God is try on? Well, read John 7 and 8 and you will see it is mentioned very clearly. And it is also mentioned in Matthew 28, 19, where the Lord Jesus sending the 12 apostles to the four corners of the world. He says to them, go disciple them, baptize them and teach them in the name of the
Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit. The Lord himself says it. That God is Father, Son and Holy Spirit. But he's one God. Because he says, in the name, not names. In the name, only one name. The Holy Trinity. For the next 10 hours, pay attention. Good, you're still laughing. That's wonderful. That tells me you haven't fallen asleep as yet. By the grace of the Lord, we'll try and be as simple as possible to understand the dynamics of the Holy Trinity. The Lord Jesus is the logos, the word. John 1.1, in the beginning was the Logos, the Word, and the Logos was with God, and the Logos was God. So the Logos, the Word, is God himself. Very clear. From the very start of the Gospel, according to St. John. Chapter 1 and the
very first verse. Now, this Logos, in the end of times, as St. Paul puts it in his epistle to the Galatians, chapter 4, became... A human being. This word, who is God, became man in the end of times. When someone, and I mean someone, anyone. When someone comes and says, I believe in God. I worship God. My question to you, my dear friend. Have you seen God? No. Can you see God? No. Do you know God? No. Can you ever know God? No. Well, you just said you believe and worship in this God whom you do not know at all, whom you cannot ever know. What kind of a worship is this? Can you worship someone you don't know?
Can you believe in someone you can never know? How can you follow someone that you can never know? You're contradicting yourself when you say, I believe in God. In order to know God, I need to be like Him. Now, God in His nature, He's infinite. Infinite meaning, He has no beginning, no end. He is spirit. Spirit. He is spirit, he is infinite. No beginning, no end. I have the physical being to me. I have the physical flesh. I am not spirit alone. I am also physical and I am also temporal finite. So the finite cannot know the infinite.
And because I have the physical side to me, I cannot relate to the spiritual being of God. I can only relate to the one who shares my nature. In other words, birds can only have relationships with birds. Plants can only have relationship with plants. Fish can only have relationship with fish. And humans can only have relationship with humans. Why?
Because humans share the same nature. You cannot enter a relationship unless it is the same nature. I need to be like him. Therefore, for me to know God, it's impossible because I cannot be God, but God can be me. Therefore, in Christianity, we don't say this man became God. No, that is blasphemy. We say God became man. And if you say God cannot be man, then you are limiting God to what he can or cannot do. Therefore, remove the title Almighty from him. He is no longer Almighty.
If you say God cannot be man, you are no longer believing that God is Almighty, i.e. capable of doing anything and everything. So can man be God? No. But can God be man? Absolutely yes. Now to know God, he needed to have our nature, the human nature. This is why God became man. This is why God became man.
In order to share our nature, to give us the ability to enter a relationship with him. This is why God became man in the end of times. His name is Jesus Christ of Nazareth. Jesus Christ of Nazareth, he is the Logos incarnate. Logos incarnate means this Logos, this God, put on the flesh, the human nature, in order to have a relationship with us. He came and spoke. He came and spoke. Now those who have heard him, if you fall asleep, you'll wash my car. And it is raining.
And it's a free car wash. This God, please pay attention. I'm trying my hardest to make it simple. This God became human like us. He came and spoke. When he spoke, who spoke? God, because the Logos is God himself. So when Jesus Christ spoke, God spoke. Now God, when He speaks, who is He? He is the infinite God. No beginning, no end. Meaning, the only way I can understand Him is I need to be infinite like Him. Or I need God to come and explain Himself to me. We use this word quite often in our daily dialect. Understand.
The word understand. We use it quite often. Now the word understand is a compounded word. It's two in one. It is under the stand. So I'm saying to myself, I can only fathom. I can only comprehend. I can only get in my head what is under the stand of my intellect. Anything above the stand, I can never understand.
Are you with me? Well, guess what? God, in His nature, everything about Him is above the stand, never under the stand. So when he talks, his talking is above my stand. When he walks, above my stand. When he thinks, above my stand. When he behaves, everything that he does and everything that he says, it is all above the stand. I.e.
I will never ever get nothing what he says. Now I'm complicating it for you. So when the Logos became man, he spoke. He spoke, God spoke. God, when he speaks, everything about him in relation to me is above my intellectual stand. When he spoke, even those who said, we understood what you said, they didn't. None of them understood what Jesus said until someone had to come who is God to explain to The logos that spoke to all of us. Who is that someone? The Holy Spirit. Now the Holy Spirit is God. The Holy Spirit is God.
And the only one who is qualified to explain who God is and what God is, is God. Reason being, because he is the only being that is infinite. There is no other God but him alone. So the only one who can explain the infinite God is the infinite God. The Lord Jesus gave us the Holy Spirit to dwell in us through the sacrament of baptism. When the Holy Spirit dwelt in us, He began revealing what Jesus said prior.
Now the Holy Spirit is resembled with water. The water does two or three things. Number one, the water can only go downward, can only flow downward. Water never climbs, can only go downward. Number two, the water quenches the dry, dead land and gives it life. So the water is the source of life. But for the life to get to that dry dead land, it needs for the land to be lower than the level of water because water cannot go up, can only come down. When we speak in our normal dialect, when I ask somebody for a glass of water, what do I say? Can you pour me a glass of water? Yes, can you pour a glass of water? Well, when you read in the book of Joel, who is one of the Old Testament prophets, chapter 2, and you read from verses 28 to 29
and 30, you will see the Lord God speaking through Joel the prophet and saying, in the end of times, I will pour out my spirit upon your sons and your daughters. They will see dreams and visions. I will pour out my Holy Spirit. Pouring out. When you pour a glass of water, The jug has to be above the glass, that empty glass. Otherwise, it ain't gonna work, baby.
You put the glass above the jug, good luck. The water won't flow. That empty glass needs to be below the level of the jug. That empty glass is me and you. And that jug that is full is the Holy Spirit. He wants to fill us with Him. Now the only way for the Holy Spirit to fill us up is we need to be low, i.e. humble. We need to be humble. There is no way for God to come and dwell in you unless you humble yourself before Him. You are the dry dead land and you need the living water, the Holy Spirit, to come and give you life. And the only way for the water need to flow is to go downward. Therefore, you as that dry dead land must be lower than the level of the water. Meaning, unless we humble ourselves before God,
God will never pour himself down on us and fill us with him. We need humility. And humility is self-denial. I no longer live for myself, but I live for Christ. I don't do it my way anymore. I want to do it the Lord's way from now on. Stop living the way you choose. Stop talking the way you want. Stop walking the way you pick. Do it God's way, not your way. Humble yourself. before God and let God fill you up now why why do we need the Holy Spirit because it takes the Holy Spirit for us to understand what Jesus Christ the Logos spoke about without the Holy Spirit no one will understand what is written in the scriptures no one It takes God to explain himself because he is the only one that is infinite
and there is no other God but him. The only one who qualifies to speak about you is you. No matter how close the other person is to you, they will never ever know you 100%. There are things you don't reveal to the closest of the closest people to yourself. There are certain things that are secretive, are only between you and God. So therefore, the only one who qualifies to explain you is you and the one who created you.
How much more? Who can explain God unless God comes and explains himself? So the Holy Spirit will come down when we are humble down to earth. When the Holy Spirit dwells in us, he will then and then only explain what Jesus meant when he said this and when he did this. Now, why do we need to know what the Lord Jesus says? Because without knowledge, there is no love. See, what I'm saying is very complicated. But I'm trying to be simple. Without knowledge, there is no love.
Now we mentioned earlier that in these two chapters the Holy Trinity is vividly clear. The water is the Holy Spirit. The Son is speaking and he says I and the Father are together. So the Holy Trinity is there. Father, Son, Holy Spirit. Who is the Father? What is the Father? Love. And what is the Son? Knowledge. And what is the Holy Spirit? Life. What is the Father? Love. And what is the Son? And who is the Son? Knowledge. And what about the Holy Spirit? Life. Water is life. Source of life. Between the Father and the Holy Spirit is the Logos. I'm speaking in a simple term. It's not like that literally. But I'm talking in a simple way so you can understand. Between the Father and the Holy Spirit is the Logos which is, who is knowledge. The word,
what is the word? Knowledge. You go and study, when you go to school and study, what are you studying? Words. What is that book? It's a combination of words put together. So when you study, you're studying words. When you're studying words, you're gaining knowledge through the words. When you're gaining knowledge through the word, you are gaining enlightenment. Before I did not know, now that I've studied the word, I began to know, to understand. By knowing, I'm gaining enlightenment. I am enlightened now. Now the Father is love. The Holy Spirit is life. The Son is knowledge. Because He is the word. To understand the word, I need the Holy Spirit to explain it to me. Because the word in its nature is spirit and it takes God who is
spirit to explain the spiritual word said by Jesus Christ of Nazareth. When the Holy Spirit dwells in me, starts explaining what Jesus said 2000 years ago, what am I gaining now? I'm gaining knowledge. Why do I need the knowledge? Because without knowledge, there is no love. I'll explain it further. Can you ever say that you love someone you do not know? Impossible. You can only claim to love the person you know. You cannot love someone you don't ever know.
You can only love the one whom you came to know. The first thing Or what leads to love is knowledge. The first time this man met this woman and they got to know each other. Knowing each other led them to loving each other because without knowledge, love cannot be. What brought me to love was knowing the person first.
Unless I get to know what God is saying, I can never love God A prophet cannot explain God because a prophet is a human being like me. Temporal, finite, extremely limited. He cannot explain God to me. He gets a little, tiny message from God. A message does not tell me who God is and what God is. All it tells me, this is what God says and good luck, go and explain to yourself what it means. That's why the people of the Old Testament totally and utterly misunderstood the word of God delivered through the prophet. Because it takes God to explain his infinite word. A prophet cannot explain, can only deliver the message. You're still living in darkness.
And until you get to know, you will remain in darkness. If you don't know, you're in deep troubles. If you don't know fire burns, you're in deep trouble when you put your hand in it. If you don't know that if you can't swim and you throw yourself in the Pacific Ocean, you're in deep trouble. Are you with me?
So the prophet will never be able to explain who God is. It takes the infinite God to explain the infinite God. This is where Jesus Christ comes. The infinite God, the Logos, Becomes man. Takes our human nature. In order to be able. To have a relationship with him. I can't have a relationship with a rock. With a plant.
With a cat. Like some people are trying to do. Enough foolishness. I need the same nature. So God became man. So I can have the same nature. He can have the same nature as me. So I can enter relationship. When I entered the relationship with God. I saw him this man. When he spoke, his word is eternal. His word is infinite. This is the Logos who is God.
So I could not understand it. The Holy Spirit came down and dwelled in me. Who is God. Now he qualifies to explain what the word truly means. When he started revealing the word to me gradually. Explaining the word to me gradually. I gained knowledge through the Holy Spirit. When I gained knowledge, knowledge led me to love. Who is love? The Father. When I began to love God, I realized God is my dad. When I went to my dad, and I said, dad, I love you. He says, I love you more than you could ever imagine. But you know why you're able now to say to me, Dad?
You know why you're able to say to me, I love you, Dad? Go to my son. He's the one who brought me to you. When I go to the son, I say, Lord Jesus, I want to know you. God is revealed in the flesh. I want to know you. I want to build a relationship with you. I want to be intimate with you in holiness. The Lord Jesus says, you can never know me, my child, until you allow the Holy Spirit to work in you. Because without the Holy Spirit, there is no explanation. There is no revelation of the logos. But my child, for the Holy Spirit to work in you and to work through you and to reveal who Jesus Christ is to you, you need to always continue to be humble. The moment you have a head like a balloon, the Holy Spirit is suffocated
inside of me. God cannot work with someone who has self-pride. God cannot work with someone who they think they are someone special beyond and above every other human being. God will only work through those who humble themselves and say we are nothing without you. I'm blind. I'm dead. I'm nothing. Lord have mercy on me. Why? Because the Holy Spirit is like that water. Water cannot flow except from above to below. It has to go downward and for the water to flow onto you and fill you up and give you life, you need to humble yourself before God in order for God to flow down on you and fill you up and give you life. I am the light of the world, says the Lord Jesus. He who follows me shall not walk in darkness. Amazing. But he
will have the light of life. You see the gospel of Saint John is the depth of theology. The depth of theology. Every single dot has a meaning. It's the depth of theology. It's amazing when some people just grab a verse from the Bible. From the gospel that is all about the theology, they grab just one verse and base their faith on that verse. Incredibly childish. Very dangerous.
Very childish, very dangerous. I am the light of the world. He who follows me will not walk in darkness but will have the light of life. Now what is light in the biblical sense? Knowledge. Knowledge. And where does knowledge lead you to love? And what does love give you? Life. Is it getting clear a little bit? Please put your hand up. Just kidding. You see, when I'm in the light...
everything is clear. I don't need to say, I don't know where I'm heading. I don't know what's before me. I don't know what's around me. In the light, everything becomes vividly clear. But when you're in the darkness, you have no idea where you're going. And you have no idea what's ahead of you. Is there a trap? Is there a ditch? Is it fire? I don't know what it is. Because I'm walking in darkness. Now my beloved.
What is darkness biblically speaking? Sin. And what is the wages of sin? Romans 6.23. Death. And what is death? Lack of God's knowledge. How do we live when we know God? And how do we die when we don't know God? Even if you're alive physically, that's not life. Because death will take it. The grave is waiting all of us. In the physical sense, everybody dies. So don't tell me you're alive. You're living to die. So you're dead.
You are just a walking corpus. Corpus. Like one of the church fathers put it so beautifully. We are walking corpuses. So true. I'm not alive. I'm dead. But I'm walking till I get to the grave. Next. Next. So darkness is a state of sin, a sinful life. And what is the wages of sin? Death. And what is death?
Absolute and total separation from God. What is total separation from God? I don't know God. I am a stranger to him. The Lord says, I am the light of the world. If you follow me, darkness, you will not walk in darkness. I am the light. I am the knowledge. I am the only knowledge that gets you to divine love.
That's my father. And so God loved the whole world that he gave his only begotten son so that whoever believeth in him shall not perish but have everlasting life. If I don't get to know God I am dead. A prophet cannot give me God. No matter who that prophet is. The only one who can give me God is God himself. So when you come by the power of the Holy Spirit, when you come to know the logos, the sun, when you gain that knowledge, that knowledge will lead you to love. And love will give you one thing, and that is life. What is hell? Hell is a place where love is absent. Can I live hell on earth? Yes, I can taste hell on earth when I live a life that has no love in it. This is why my beloved, love is the supreme ethic. In all the
religions of the world, with all love and respect, I'm saying this. Yes? And if you want to stab me again, it's up to you. But I'm talking with love and respect. In all the religions of the world, in all the religions of the world, you go and ask them, what comes first? They will tell you life. Life precedes love and everything else. The only place where it says and claims that love... precedes life is Christianity and so true so true my beloved because if life preceded love what would I do with a life that had no love in it it is absolutely hell what makes life life is love when you are living in a place where there is no love in it you are living in hell there is no life therefore There is no life.
But I'm still alive. I'm breathing. And you call yourself living. No, you're dead because you're only living when you love. You're only living when you love. If you don't love, you're dead. But to get to love, you need to know because what leads to love is knowledge. And I don't have the time. Without knowing a person, you can never claim loving him. or her. You need to know and the only way to know God is by God who is the Holy Spirit. So the Holy Spirit will only work in you and me when we humble ourselves before him.
He is water and it can only go downward. Don't put your head up. God will say I don't know who you are. When you put your head down to the ground and say I'm sorry, I have sinned. I'm a sinner. I'm weak. I'm this. I'm that. I'm nothing without you, Lord. Now you're humbling yourself. The Holy Spirit will start working in you. When the Holy Spirit begins working in you, he will start explaining to you what the word meant when he spoke while he was in the flesh on earth over 2,000 years ago. When he explains the logo to you, you will begin to gain knowledge.
When you gain knowledge, knowledge will lead you to love. When you get to love, love will give you life. You will walk in the light because that is the light of life. When you walk in the light. And who is the light? This sweetheart. Do you see the harmony between the Holy Trinity? The Holy Spirit in the church works through the seven sacraments. And the seven sacraments is the gospel of St. John. So those Christians who do not believe in the sacraments. Problem. Deep problem. What are some of the sacraments? The body and the blood of Christ. That is a sacrament. The baptism. That's a sacrament.
Priesthood rank. That is a sacrament. The Holy Spirit. The Holy Spirit. brings salvation and redemption and life through the seven sacraments which Christ established and founded in his beloved church. The Holy Spirit will not work outside the church. So when somebody comes with all love and respect and says, Oh, the Holy Spirit just came down on me now and he opened my eyes and I know now what the Lord wants. Don't go to this apostolic church where the bishop is. My dear friend, the church is the mystical body of Christ. It's not about the bishop. It's the mystical body of Christ. The Lord put the sacraments for the Holy Spirit to work through them and give you life.
When you sin, after baptism, what are you going to do? Man, I wish I had the time. You've received the holy baptism, but you're still sinning. And the word of God is eternal. It's forever. It's not temporal. It's always forever. The wages of sin is death. That will remain. That will never change. So after baptism, I am still sinning. Where are you going to go? And get baptized again? Baptism is only done once. Open your ears. Huh? Baptism is only done once.
Or am I going to dip you all the time? What is this? Water sprinkling or something? Go to... Jamboree, if you want water and plenty of it. If I ask any one of us, when do you stop sinning? Completely. To cut it short, only in one place, when I die. For as long as I'm in this flesh, I will keep sinning. And if anybody says, I do not sin, you became God. You are the biggest liar ever to exist.
Because the only one in the flesh that is sinless like God is Jesus of Nazareth. All glory to his holy and mighty name. So as long as I'm in the flesh, I'm a sinner. I sin with thinking, I sin with talking, I sin with walking, I sin in every way. And the only way I stop sinning is when I am dead. What is baptism? Death, burial, resurrection. Death, burial, resurrection.
When I baptize that infant or that adult, doesn't matter. Whoever comes first. If the baby comes, I'll baptize. And if you're a hundred year old and now you want to believe in Jesus, I'll baptize you. Baptism is for all. So when you come to be baptized, what am I doing to you? Or what is the Lord doing to you?
You're dying with the Lord. You are being buried with the Lord and you are rising in the Lord. So baptism is the death, burial, resurrection. Now the Lord only died once, buried once, rose once. I can't repeat baptism. So when you're sinning, you are dying. What are you going to come back and be baptized again? You are re-crucifying Christ again. That is a blasphemy. that is offensive to God the father to re-crucify his beloved son he only died once buried once and rose once so what do you do when you sin after baptism the only the only the only solution to your Forgiveness of that sin is the body and the blood. There is no other way you can go and do whatever you wish, my dear friend. Come back to the truth. It's the
body and the blood of Christ that will wash your sins away after baptism. Holy baptism. By the way, in the very near future, We'll talk about the sacrament of the Holy Eucharist. We'll talk about the sacrament of Holy Baptism. We'll talk about the sacrament of priesthood. Biblically. And I will shower you with biblical verses. Shower you. So read.
Open your eyes. Your ears. Your heart. Don't be fanatic. Don't be egocentric. Give your heart to Christ. And let the Holy Spirit lead you to the truth. Who is Christ Jesus. The Logos. Incarnate. So my beloved, to be filled with the Holy Spirit, humble yourself. The Holy Spirit will reveal the Son to you who is the knowledge of God, the Logos. When you receive knowledge, knowledge will lead you to love who is God the Father. When you receive that love, love will give you life. And so God loved the whole world. He gave his only begotten son. What? Whoever believes in him shall not perish but what have? Everlasting life. So what does love give? Life. Everlasting.
And that is the light of the world. The people of the world rejected the light who is Christ. When they rejected the light, when the light is not there, there is something called darkness. And I'll leave you with it and I'm really dying to make you sleep here in the church, alright? When you go to any scientist, Christian, non-Christian, you ask them, can you measure darkness? They will say no. Why?
Because darkness, they will tell you, is uncreated. We can only measure light because light is created. Well, you just refer to the Holy Bible. And God saw that it was dark and God said, let there be light. He created the light, not darkness. It is uncreated. They can't measure darkness. They can only measure light. So where did darkness come from? Darkness is the absence of light. And what is the light here? Jesus Christ. What is light? Knowledge.
Why do you need knowledge? Because the only one that leads you to love is knowledge. And why do you need love? Because the only way to life is through love. It's through love. Without love, there is no life. And without life, there is no light. And without light, there is only darkness. And darkness is sin. And sin is death.
You're dead. And what is death? No knowledge of the divine God. That's why the world is foolish. Look at the world, the way they behave. Absolute adults acting like little kids. You know, when an adult behaves like a little kid, you call him a fool. Stop being a fool. You're not a child. You're an adult. For God's sake, act like one. So when you look at these adults in the world behaving like little kids, they are nothing but fools. Fools. And why they are fools? Because without God, there is no wisdom. And without wisdom, you are only left with ignorance and foolishness. So when the world comes and passes laws that are absolutely foolish, like that guy that went to the school to teach kids and he said,
I am a cat. Yes, that was in Sydney. He claims to be a cat. Well, if you're a cat, what are you doing with human beings? Cat can't teach me. I need a human to teach me. So go and teach the kingdom of cats.
