The point of this podcast is pretty broad — “All of Christ for all of life.” In order to make that happen, we need “theology that bites back.” I want to advance what you might call a Chestertonian Calvinism, and to bring that attitude to bear on education, sex and culture, theology, politics, book reviews, postmodernism, expository studies, along with other random tidbits that come into my head. My perspective is usually not hard to discern. In theology I am an evangelical, postmill, Calvinist, Reformed, and Presbyterian, pretty much in that order. In politics, I am slightly to the right of Jeb Stuart. In my cultural sympathies, if we were comparing the blight of postmodernism to a vast but shallow goo pond, I would observe that I have spent many years on these stilts and have barely gotten any of it on me.

Jehovah and the Midterms
This is the last regularly scheduled post before I move into NQN beast mode and, as it turns out, it is also the last post before the midterms—those foreboding midterms. I have something of a rag bag of thoughts for you all on that topic, a
What WON'T Unite the Nations | Doug Wilson
There are two sorts of unity that are set before us in this memorial, one of them rebellious and idolatrous, and the other submissive and obedient. By confusing the languages, God scattered an early attempt at rebellious unity at Babel, the
What Should Christians Think Of The Execution of Hassan?
Put this another way. Suppose Hassan were going to be hanged in a stadium. Nothing wrong with that. Do you let vendors sell popcorn and hot dogs? Of course not. Do you sell tickets? Of course not. You obviously must have tickets, but they w
Dinesh and the American Fixer-Upper
Just a few short days ago, Dinesh D’Souza decided to start talking trash about Calvinism online, and—let us be frank—that created something of a set-to. The imbroglio consisted of two parts. One part had to do with the standard doctrinal qu
Thoughts on the Eric Erickson Imbroglio

Big Fat Sinners, All of Them
In Doug's continued dialogue with Ehud, Wilson talks about 'Big Fat Sinners, All of Them'... In my last letter, I addressed (and answered) the belief that some Christians have had that consigns Jews to the status of “Christ-killers.” That i

Candace and the Bathtub Admirals
