The Proficient - Fianna Saga (Irish Mythology Podcast)

Conas taoi? How are ye?

Welcome back to the Candlelit Tales podcast, where we tell Irish myths set to original music.

In this episode, we’re putting an end to the tale of Diarmuid and Gráinne, with the extraordinary vengeance of their brilliant daughter, Éachtach, whose name means “the proficient one”

We had a long conversation about how to contextualise this story within the Fianna Saga that we’ve been working on - that’s going to be up on Patreon (and on our YouTube Members feed) along with all our post-show chats and reflections!

Artwork for this arc is provided by the incredible Maria Magee, fine artist and, incidentally, mother of Aron and Sorcha! You can find more of her work on instagram @mariamagee.ie

Please note the content of these stories may be triggering for some listeners, please take care of yourself as you listen. This story contains mentions of violence, vengeance, betrayal, misogyny, and character death.
