Don't Get In The Car

What if you could see inside a serial killer's mind before he struck? Three men who've spent decades studying ruthless predators like Ted Bundy and Jeffrey Dahmer pull back the curtain on Christopher Wilder—and what they reveal could save a life. Dr Eric Hickey, FBI consultant profiler and forensic psychologist, delivers the starkest warning you'll ever hear: "He pulls out a gun and points it at you. You don't get in the car. Never get in the car. You're better off being shot in the parking lot than being tortured and murdered in the car or in some other place. If you get in the car, you're dead."

This isn't theory. This is survival. Because Wilder didn't look dangerous—he looked successful. Wealthy businessman. Race car driver. The kind of charming man who seemed legitimate, exciting, trustworthy. That's exactly what made him lethal.

He selected his victims like a hunter stalking prey. Pretty young women. Models. Beauty queens with dreams he promised to make real. Former Miami Police Chief Dr Nelson Andreu explains how Wilder posed as a photographer, flashed his racing credentials, and projected sophistication that masked pure evil. "The first time he kills may not be perfectly choreographed. But inspired by the intense satisfaction the killing produces, he starts to plan in earnest. Those first murders left him with a thrill that he could never, ever let go. Each victim fueled his need for the next."

International best-selling crime writer Michael Robotham met Wilder face-to-face as a young journalist and never forgot his chilling confidence in court—the quiet certainty of a man who believed he was invincible. This episode doesn't just explain how monsters are made. It arms you with knowledge that could save you or someone you love.
