I Saw the Grotesque Shadow That Rules the Velvet Hallways

A young man named Wesley falls into a sudden coma and finds his mind wandering through surreal, red-velvet corridors that lead to artificial, uncanny recreations of his past memories, such as a childhood friend's birthday party and his high school gymnasium after prom.
Though initially filled with warm nostalgia, these deserted, strangely off-kilter environments gradually curdle into terror as the comforting music fades, time stands still, and a looming, tall entity with a robotic voice stalks him, informing him that he does not belong there yet before causing him to collapse back into the void.
