El Leviatán: El sonido que hundió un barco

In this episode, we delve into the anomalous low-frequency signal picked up by a NOAA research team in 1990, originating southwest of the South American coastline. We explore the internal attempts to contain the story, the subsequent leak, and the terrifying implications of what was eventually found: an organism so vast it was mistaken for an island chain.

Event: The Leviathan
Date: 1990
Agency: National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA)
Location: Southwest of the South American coastline
Organism Designation: SCP-169

- The sound was an ultra-low frequency signal, unlike any biological or geological signature on record.
- The organism's estimated body length ranges between 2,000 and 8,000 kilometers.
- A mobile task force, Gamma-6, discovered a 3-kilometer discrepancy in the coordinates of a remote island chain.
- The archipelago, historically uninhabited, is the exposed dorsal surface of SCP-169.
- The creature breathes once every three months, causing small seismic events.
