The Japanese Invasion of Alaska

During World War II, the United States fought battles across Europe, North Africa, and the Pacific.

However, one of the war’s most unusual campaigns took place in a remote, frozen corner of North America.

It was a campaign fought in some of the worst weather imaginable, on islands so isolated that most Americans had never heard of them.

It also marked the only time during World War II that enemy forces occupied North American territory.
