Shownotes
Sarah Mitchell defines integration two ways and connects them. An indefinite integral is any function whose derivative is the integrand, so it carries an arbitrary constant and represents a family of vertically shifted curves. The definite integral is the limit of a sum of thin rectangles of width delta x, evaluated by the fundamental theorem as F at the upper limit minus F at the lower limit, and it measures signed area.
