On May 1st Danny celebrated 16 years of Recovery!!! It’s easy to tell a glory story when all the pieces have been put back together - in this episode Danny describes the journey starting at day 1. EJ honestly talks about her doubts, fears, and the isolation she felt in her first few bumpy years being married to Danny as he was just barely a year into sobriety. They both share experiences from their first years together and the massive struggles they faced individually and together as Danny crawled his way through his first several years of recovery. Danny talks about the difference between getting sober and entering recovery. Recovery is a long and messy process but there is no other way through it.
