All right, and welcome into the Fantasy Pros Dynasty Football Podcast brought to you by League Tycoon, the Dynasty First fantasy football platform.
We're halfway through.
It's been an absolutely epic college football season, and we've seen a major shakeup in the upcoming NFL draft class. So we've got another 2027 Dynasty Rookie Stock Watch coming your way on this episode.
That's right.
We're going to let you know all the biggest midseason risers and fallers in In our updated rankings, I'm your host, Seth Wilcock, joined by a man who I've been covering the sport with from a gambling perspective over on the Ben Cross College Football YouTube channel all season long, all but ready to raise the white flag on the Sark era of the Texas Longhorns football program. He's Scott Big Time Bogman and Boggs. While it hasn't been the season that either you or I would like from a fan perspective, it certainly has had a huge impact on some of these outgoing prospects, maybe more than we could have ever imagined.
Yeah.
I mean, we were all, everyone was excited about the QB class. And I think there's still reason to be excited about the incoming QB class, but you know, it has taken a hit and we kind of, we did warn about this. Like it's still going to be very good and it's still going to push skill position players in your super flex leagues down the board.
Right.
Cause there's still going to be guys near the top of super flex leagues that are going to get drafted. And there's time for the guys that have lost a little luster to come back and you know, put it on. So there is some there, but boy, this, this quarterback class is very different than what we thought it was going to be. And luckily we were right in the fact that there are so many that there's still going to be a bunch at the top, but it is not as clear cut as it was at the beginning of the year. So we thought it was going to be by the end of this year. And my guy arch completely off my list. I think he's coming back.
And if he doesn't, he's going to have to sit and do the Jordan Love treatment for a long time. So, yeah, man, it has been a disappointing year to be a Longhorns fan, but went out and all is forgiven. So we'll see. I don't think that happens. I don't think they win this week.
Yeah.
And it's always super interesting, right?
Because it feels like a lot of these times when these prospects are underclassmen or even juniors or, you know, seniors before they were super seniors right like it feels like there's a lot of hope and optimism they come back for one more final year doesn't always go as planned like look at just Dante more guy we're not going to talk about really in totality here but you know.
had a fine start to the season and just ends up hurt. Right. And there's nothing you can do about that same situation, which we'll talk about with Ahmad Hardy. And, you know, speaking of Hardy, the running back position, all of a sudden also looks really weak in this class where, you know, you have some guys at the top who are really, really intriguing prospects, but they all have a little bit of warts and whether it's injury, slow starts to the season or, you know, just failing teams that they're a part of right now.
There's a lot to pick and sift through.
So we're going to answer everything you need to know from that dynasty standpoint on this episode. And as noted, we're going to go ahead and dive into the biggest risers and followers from across the country. We also can give you our updated 2027 consensus dynasty rookie rankings. And then we'll round out the program with some rapid-fire takes on some of the most overrated and underrated prospects as well.
And before anything, just wanted to quickly shout out everyone who's tuning in right here on the Fantasy Pros Dynasty YouTube channel or the audio feed. Please give this video a thumbs up and make sure you subscribe to the channel if you're new. And if you want more college football-only conversation, consider subscribing to the Ben Crose College.
Football YouTube channel.
This video will be collabed with that channel, so all you have to do is subscribe by clicking.
The logo right down below this, and we'd really appreciate that.
But Boggs, let's go ahead and jump right into the mid-season 2027 rookie risers and maybe no bigger riser in our Superflex rankings than Charlie Becker, wide receiver out of Indiana here. You, me, and Fitz... Preseason, we did a consensus rankings. We had him seven overall. He has now gone all the way to number two overall. He has passed Cam Coleman. He's passed all the quarterbacks in our consensus rankings. He's coming off a career game against Ohio State.
Nine for 165. His third game of 100 plus yards this season. Currently seventh in the country in receiving yards with 694 on the season. Fifth in the season in touchdowns as well with eight. So Boggs, what caused this move for you? Because Boggs, For me, it was just, you know, I could no longer deny that this guy looks like a true alpha wide receiver. He can do it deep on contested catches, but he's also just brilliant across the middle of the field. Yeah, I mean, he can run every route, you know, just clamp hands.
Unbelievable.
And the seventh highest target share in the country so far, right? Like 34 and a half percent. KJ Duff, who we're going to talk about in this episode as well. I know he's in your rankings. He's just off of mine, like right there. 41% for him. They got nothing else. There's him and Raymond Jeremiah Smith, number two.
Right.
And then he's behind a couple, uh, you know, JJ Buchanan, Chance Morrow, Buffalo, Colin Dixon, and Andrew Marsh. So there's some guys that he's behind here, but, uh, Becker, it has been unbelievable. And there's just no denying that, you know, we thought it was going to be cam Coleman. Can Coleman has been a disappointment. Now that is partly because of our mannings performance, of course, but, Um, Cam Coleman hasn't really, he hasn't had that type of separation where he's constantly college open. So, and Charlie Becker absolutely has.
So Becker, yeah, I think the proper spot for him at this point is number two, right behind Jeremiah Smith. Now there is a Canyon of difference between Jeremiah Smith and anybody else, but Becker is, uh, locked up for that number two spot.
Unless there's a major change before the.
End of the year.
Yeah, and not only is this guy just brilliant with the ball in his hands after the catch, we saw some big plays against the Buckeyes last week and in contested situations, but he also just has the athletic profile, right? 6'4, so he checks in on the size, 208 pounds, so definitely has a little bit of bulk to still put on.
Zero drops.
Yeah, and also, like, he's someone who's been projected to, you know, run somewhere in between, like, a 4.38 second 40 time and, you know, a 4.45. That's really what we're expecting to see. And, like, I can kind of see that, too. And the one thing I love about Becker, too, is, like, he brings in some special team dynamics, too, because... when Indiana is done with some of their returners, they're like, Charlie, we need you, right? We need you to go make a play back there. We saw it against Ohio State.
We saw it against Nebraska. He's liable to catch a couple of big punts as well. So maybe that's another place where he just makes an impact at the next level. But I think right now, Boggs, unless something changes, I think Charlie Becker's top 15 pick in this NFL draft.
I really do.
And I think that's going to make him a top overall, you know, two or three pick in your dynasty rookie drafts as well from a super flex standpoint.
Yeah.
I mean, I do think that behind Jeremiah Smith, there's going to be a lot of running back desperation, which pushes running backs up constantly. Yeah.
So we see that.
So he may not be like a lock number two pick in your fantasy draft, but I'm telling you on all the boards right now, Becker is probably number two on almost every single board.
Okay, I want to talk about a duo of players next that is just sky high now in our ranking is Drew Mestemaker and Wyatt Young, the quarterback and wide receiver combo out of Oklahoma State. And man, we thought this duo could be legit last year, right? Mestemaker leads the nation in passing yards. at North Texas. Also, Wyatt Young goes over 1,200 yards and 10 touchdowns. And then not only has Eric Morris and company made a great transition into the Big 12 at Oklahoma State, but also at the same time, they are right now a team that...
has been top 25 for most of the season ranked. They knocked off the Ducks in week two. And we are getting the ceiling case from Estimaker, who's actually on pace to have better numbers than a year ago, still leading the country in passing yards. And Wyatt Young, who's going to go for another 1,210, it looks like as well.
So Boggs, these are two players that, you know, at the G6 level, we had really, really high confidence in. It was, could they make the transition? And outside that two lane game, it feels like they have.
Yeah.
Tulsa game. Excuse me. Yeah. Tulsa at the beginning of the season.
Yeah.
I mean, Messamaker, you know, I think that there's a lot of people that have CJ Carr as your number one quarterback. And I don't really have a lot of fight against that. The little bit that I do have is that CJ Carr hasn't really played anybody. And the one time he did play somebody, he lost. Right.
BYU.
Looked good in that game, though.
Youfton McCarr looked really, really good. Yeah, I thought CJ Carr's fault. And they should have had another second, by the way. Yeah, I have Carr two in my rankings. You have him three. You and me have Mestemaker flipped. I have Mestemaker three. You have Mestemaker two. And then we're both at Darien Mensah. One overall, just to clear that up.
Yeah, yeah, exactly.
So there's a lot of love for Mestemaker right now. And I think that, you know, I think Mensah has really shown that he can throw the ball and he could come in and probably help a franchise immediately, but there's going to be a little hesitation in that because of what we saw cam ward coming out of Miami. Right. Yep.
So that, that may knock Darian Mensah down, but what drew mess maker has that I feel like not a lot of other guys do is insane pocket presence, right? Like he, he manipulates moves up, steps up, moves around, steps away from pressure so easily keeps his eyes downfield. And that is huge. And he can run when he wants to.
Right.
It's not the first thing that he thinks of to do, but he will absolutely take and run with it. That game against Oregon, that flip into the end zone was pretty incredible.
Helicopter.
Yeah.
Yeah.
Yeah. That was pretty awesome. So we know that he is more than willing to run. And, you know, just he's been in this system for a while and the dude will sling it. He will throw it downfield. and white young has been the beneficiary of that as well. And he is putting on a nice show this season. Um, you know, huge year for him, 477 yards and five touchdowns, um, you know, ranks very high, uh, eight 18th and touchdowns ninth in yards per route run. is incredible out of over 600 wide receivers graded here. He will drop it every once in a while, but he'll get yak. He has a really good A-dot and a 30.4% target share.
So these guys have worked in tandem together. We've seen them work together since North Texas. We weren't sure if it was going to translate to moving up to the Power 4 level. It absolutely has, and these guys have really boosted their draft stock.
I'll tell you what, man, I think Mestemaker in this quarterback class, Boggs, he is the upside case, right? Like the ceiling for this guy is untapped because he's someone who he did not start at quarterback in high school. He was a walk on right at North Texas. Fourth string guy ends up with being the starter here in 2025 has a fantastic season. and now he's doing it all over again at Oklahoma State. He is kind of reminiscent.
I'm not saying he has the upside of Josh Allen, but that is the type of player he is, where he has a cannon of an arm. He's more mobile than you think. The guys just seem to love playing around him, right? So he's a great locker room guy. The issue is he's just very raw still, right? And you know, we'll make a huge mistake. Yeah, exactly.
Yeah.
And we saw that a couple of times against Houston as well. But yeah, I think the upside case for Drew Mestemaker is there. We're seeing it play out in real time. So it's just been fantastic to watch. Wyatt Young is someone I currently have moved into 14 overall in my 2027 rookie rankings. You have him outside your top 20, Scott, but I imagine he's right kind of there as a, you know, late second, early third round pick for you.
Yeah, I mean, not far off, right? Like, I have Reed Harris at 20. I could put Wyatt Young there with no issue. That would not be a problem. KJ Duff as well, I don't have on my list. Their wide receiver class is looking nice and deep right now.
Yes, it is.
Yes, it is, yeah.
It feels like, you know, there's a top, you know, Jeremiah Smith gap, and then it's Becker, it's Coleman, maybe a little bit of a gap, and then it's like Marsh. And then maybe a little bit of a gap after that. And then it's like Ryan Coleman Williams, Wyatt Young. Dealer's choice at that point.
Yeah, exactly. But there is some depth here.
So if you're in need of wide receivers, which I feel like we always are in Dynasty, you got some great ones coming in here as well. Before we keep it moving, I just want to remind you all that if you play in a serious Dynasty league, you should be certainly checking out League Tycoon. It's a modern fantasy football platform actually built specifically for Dynasty leagues, not redrafted.
Standard dynasty leagues on League Tycoon, they're completely free for you. We don't want any of that.

And for your Contract Dynasty Leagues, go ahead and use that promo code PROS to get your first season for free. All right, Boggs, another riser that we have here in our rankings. Isaac Brown running back out of Louisville. And look, it was a pretty slow start to the season for Isaac Brown, right? We saw a lot of Lincoln-Keene holds early that this team was relying on, but it's turned around quickly for Brown here. 125 yards showing against NC State, followed up by another 235 on the ground against the Seminoles.
And this is a guy who was the ACC Rookie of the Year.
So we've always viewed him as like, Probably a fringe top five back in this class if he could sustain it. He was banged up a little bit late last year. But Boggs, you have him locked back inside your top five at running back here.
I mean, the speed, dude.
He has NFL-level speed as a running back, no doubt. 83 carries this year, 568 yards and four touchdowns. Also has 12 catches for 108 and a score as well. 13 explosive runs and 19.2% target share, which is pretty high.
For running back, we like that.
Especially for Kineholz, who's a bit of a more mobile quarterback and likes to take off with his legs more than most. Right.
And then the last three weeks are really what has pulled me around. You know, I watched him play a little bit at NC State. He had nine carries only, but 125 yards and got in the end zone.
And then that.
Florida State game, dude. He went nuclear in that one. He had a 97-yard rushing touchdown where he just torched the entire FSU defense. He had 17 carries for 235 yards and two scores. He was held in check against Syracuse last week. They did a really good job against him. Nine carries for only 11 yards. But he had two receptions and he took one to the house, 60 yards and a score. And he had big kick returns in that NC State game and in that FSU game as well.
So what we're really seeing from here is a back that has, you know, taken a decent size workload. I don't ever think he's going to be a workhorse type of a guy. but a dude with legit NFL speed, and he will make guys miss. He has 29 missed tackles forced, which is 35th out of 426 graded backs. So lots and lots of missed tackles forced. A little undersized at 5'9, 190, but put on 10 to 15 pounds of muscle, and you got yourself a little rock that rolls downhill and has absolute explosive speed. So really love watching Isaac Brown play. And I think we're just on the tip of the iceberg as far as his potential goes.
Yeah, this running back class will be super interesting to see how it shakes out. I feel like for most people now, they're still kind of a top two in this tier of Jane Baugh and Kawan Lacey. But outside of that, now you have this conversation opening up with really Isaac Brown could get all the way up to RB3.
You know, Nate Frazier's been banged up a lot of this season. He's kind of in that mix. LJ Martin now hurt. He's going to be out at least until November.
Hardy hasn't played.
Yeah, out of BYU. Hardy hasn't played. I like Justice Haynes, but he hasn't been anything special this season.
And he's also been banged up.
The Longhorns guys are eating into each other.
Yeah yeah so like there's not a ton like i'll tell you what 2028 though um that's going to be a really really fun class i think for the running back position man there's going to be and again we say this every year but just hype casting if robert's going to continue to do what he's doing if hawkins can go out there and continue to sledge right that's going to be a fun one but i am a little bit down on this class as a whole but isaac brown certainly someone who's you know, starting to come up to level water, if not higher. Let's go back to quarterbacks though, where, you know, everyone remembers Austin Simmons a year ago as the four-star recruit. He waited his turn behind Jackson Dart to get his start in the
Lane Kiffin system, only to lose his job a few weeks into the season after getting injured when Trinidad Shambles comes in and just rocks the entire country. But then he comes out that year, gets rejuvenated both with this Mizzou team and, you know, not only helps the team, but also his NFL draft stock. This is a guy who's six foot four, 220, pretty mobile as well. So I think we knew the goods could always potentially be there, but I did not expect this kind of success where he ranked second in the SEC in passing yards at 253 per game, third in touchdowns as well with 14 of them.
And he's limited himself to only two turnovers consecutively. through the air.
So he's turned Caden Lee into a stud at wide receiver. Jamal Roberts, we just mentioned, leading the SEC in rushing alongside him in that backfield. So Bogman, do you think this is more just like a blip on the radar, a little of a hot streak for Austin Simmons? Or could this actually be him putting his stock, you know, very much in the hands of the NFL draft community?
Yeah, I don't think it's a blip, right? And I think it would be a mistake to label it as blip. a blip because this is a dude that was, you know, a massive recruit and based on traits.
Right.
And I think that is what we're seeing right now is, you know, now that he has playing time, we're seeing some of those traits come to fruition. I mean, mainly the arm strength is just there. He has an NFL caliber arm already.
It's really good.
So, um, that has been great, but he has been very inconsistent in his performance and his accuracy wanes, right? Like last week, Yeah, it hasn't led to too many bad plays. He only has, I think, two picks. But, you know, 111 yards against Troy on 11 completions. He only had 14 completions against Texas A & M, which was weird. But those are sandwiched with, you know, 23 for 296 and three against Mississippi State against Florida. Carved him up 23 of 30 for 340 and two scores.
Best game.
Ole Miss 339. didn't throw a touchdown, but had that pick, right? And had a couple big-time throws in some of those games. So we're seeing a little bit of hit and miss from Austin Simmons. I don't know that he's ready right now, but based on the traits that we've seen, he's probably getting drafted.
Like, if he.
Decides to come out now, he's going to get drafted. So I don't think he should quite yet. We'll see what the rest of the season has for him, and then, you know, the postseason. But Definitely showing up on a lot of radars when we really didn't know what to think of him. And he wasn't you know, he was down the list. But before, my God, he was behind all the guys that we've mentioned.
And then, oh, I had him on the board, man.
Yeah.
Buried. Yeah.
And now he's come to, he's at least in the top 10 right now of the quarterback. So, uh, yeah, I think this is absolutely a riser and somebody we need to pay attention to.
It's interesting because the one concern I have about Simmons, it's a little bit RPO based, right? Where If they don't get the run game going early like they did against Ole Miss, he does seem to struggle where it's just a lot of three and outs. It's not picking up the third down conversion when we need to rely on your arm.
That's the one thing I want to see.
Like if Roberts does get shut down and we don't see Hardy, you know, moving forward and Roberts has a down game or two. can Austin Simmons be someone who carries the team to victory? Because we have yet to see that, right? But it's still a loaded schedule. He's going to have plenty of opportunities to still keep on shining.
So I'm looking forward to the opportunity, but Austin Simmons kind of reminds me right now, he's in like this mid-season, you know, Ty Simpson era of last year, right? Where one year starters, we don't have a lot of film on him. He's looked good at times, but he's also looked inconsistent at times. So we will see, you know, Ty Simpson finished the year On a decent note, that got him taken inside the top 15 picks of the NFL draft, got him into the Sean McVay system. So looking good for him, but we shall see if Austin Simmons continues that trajectory or ultimately falls down the board moving forward.
Only nine starts. So remember the whole Bill Parcells thing where he wants 40 starts or 35 starts or whatever it is? We're not even halfway there. So lots of room for growth.
And also, you know, you.
Give yourself enough rope uh, to, to end your career as well with that many starts. But, uh, I, I trust that Austin Simmons, I trust in his traits and I think he'll come around and be a very draftable player.
Okay.
Let's go to our biggest followers of Scott Bogman. This is a player starting at the top who has had more starts than Austin Simmons.
And you know, he was our preseason number two ranked player.
He's now dropped outside the top 25 after just two disaster performance, ultimately costing the Texas Longhorns back-to-back games against Oklahoma and Florida. It's Arch Manning right now, and he is surrounded by some of the most talent we have seen in the country right now. But there are a lot of questions around Arch's Texas tenure and whether or not he even declares for the NFL draft after, you know, really kind of a disaster of a stretch here. And Boggs, you can't really look at the numbers and, you know, at least on the surface and say that Arch has been terrible. But anyone who's watched Arch this year knows that he has a lot left to be desired out there on the field. This is a player with the
legitimate name value. He's got the ideal size athletic profile to excel the next level.
It's just, can you look past it?
Some of these, you know, boneheaded mistakes he's made late in games has costed the Sooners their perfect record, their number one ranking in the AP ranks as well.
So what do you think?
The Longhorns, you said the Sooners.
Oh, sorry. Yeah, my bad, my bad. Mixing those guys up. Good thing we're not in the same room, Seth. Yeah, right. I just take one of the dome here.
Boggs, what do you think is to come for Arch, though, the rest of 2026 and 2027, really?
You know, the thing that sparked Arch to really, like, show his... full self last year was when the Longhorns almost.
Lost to Mississippi State.
Right. And in the second half of that game, when they're down, Arch knew I just have to rip it. I have to go out and I have to sling this. We have to catch up. We have to play fast. Right.
Right now.
I've watched every snap that Arch Manning has taken in his career. So right now he is so wholly and completely indecisive. He's holding onto the ball too long. He's double guessing himself. He's trying to come off the first read and go to the second one, or he's getting the ball out too fast when he sees pressure, and teams know it. That's why he got picked that second time against Oklahoma. The first one was just a terrible decision, just an absolutely boneheaded, dumbass decision. The second one was they knew he's got happy feet now. He's going to sling this up for grabs, and they put the pressure on him, and.
He did it.
26.9% pressure to sack rate is 223rd out of 264 graded quarterbacks.
That is miserable.
His turnover-worthy play percentage, 4.2% is 196 out of 264.
Wow.
So really, it's the happy feet, man, and it's in his own head. The traits are all still there. He still has the arm to make every throw. He has great, amazing speed.
For a quarterback. It's there.
They haven't been letting him use it as much. I think because he, you know, he was banged up a little bit last season. They didn't want to go through the season with him at, you know, 70%. So they have been running him less. You got to let arch be arch. You got to let him rip it. You got to let her run it. And that is not what Sark is doing. I think he's hindering the, the production and maturity of arch here. And it is just really bad. Cause like you said, he has, uh, you know, NFL level offensive line. He has NFL level playmakers surrounded by them. So why is this not working? It's not working because he's double clutching. He's holding the ball too long and he's in his own head. So he needs
to just go out and sling it, do what comes instinctually and not overthink everything. And I think he can get back on the right track. But as it stands right now, there's no way he comes out. He's not a first round pick if he comes out. So he can rebuild it back up and he can still be the number one overall pick if the rest of the season he, you know, he does it. But the Longhorns are giving Lacey behind him a lot of, you know, first team reps this week in case they need to replace him. So that's where we're at. We're at where he might get benched this week against Ole Miss. So there's no way he can be in my top 20.
I just can't have him there.
Yeah, I completely understand.
Do you think it's something that if he does decide to play another year of college football, do you think he has to go elsewhere? Because, I mean, we got a lot of high-level recruits sitting behind him, you know, at Texas.
He's one of them.
I'm not 100% sure on that. And I wonder if they do can Sark, if he would follow Sark, right? I don't think he should. I don't think that's good for him.
Hasn't worked for him yet, right? Right, exactly.
So I don't know about that. My gut says no. but I want to see D'Abel. So I'm not real sure. I don't know that he needs to go, but it's one or the other. I think if the Longhorns don't make the playoff, it's either Arch goes or Sark goes, and I think it's more likely that Coach goes.
Okay. All right.
Well, we'll keep you updated here as much as we can, especially over there on the betting pros college football side of things and let you know what is the latest down there in Austin and what the future does look like for Arch Bannon. But right now, from a fancy perspective, we're not expecting him to come out in this class.
So we can't have him ranked inside the top 24. And if he does, I still don't know if you can have him ranked ahead of these other quarterbacks that we've kind of touched on today. So, We're going to keep it moving to some more followers down our rankings. But before we do, I needed to tell you about this new prediction market that we absolutely love here called Polymarket.
It's a stock exchange for sports buying in and selling out on your terms as the trader. When your team goes down, you can buy in at 20% and then sell it off at 40% when they come back to double your money. And they're so confident that you're never going to go back to the other guys. They're giving you a free $ 25 on your first trade when you deposit just $ 10.
And now they've.
Actually launched a new feature called Squads, a group chat where you can see what everyone else is trading on. So go ahead and download the Polymarket app today and use the promo code FPPOD when you sign up. Again, that's promo code FPPOD to get $ 25 free when you deposit just $ 10. Another follower here. At the quarterback position, Scott Bogman is Julian San right now out of Ohio State, and it hasn't been a bad season at all for San.
In fact, he's actually third in the country in passing yards and touchdowns. However, he has proven that he has been getting absolutely rattled under pressure, and he's thrown up some stinkers against high-level competition. Your Texas Longhorns, 17 for 32, 53% completion percentage, 278 yards, one touchdown, one interception, and then last week against Indiana in Bloomington, He completed 15 of 29 passes, a 51.7% completion rate for 235 yards, two touchdowns, and two interceptions. He was just missing throws in that one, and now we actually have a new shoulder injury form as well that has flared up, and now he will be missing at least a couple weeks here. So he has dropped from 11 to 19 in our consensus rankings.
Is that your read on the situation as well, Boggs, is just not playing good against high-level competition or pressure, really?
Yeah, I think that's really the big part of it is, you know, it's the combination of, we have a limited amount of starts for this guy. He's been great, right? Been really good. Uh, in what we've seen from him, he looks like he's regressed a little bit this season. And now I don't know if we see him again this season after the shoulder injury or UCL or whatever we're calling it. So I think, uh, they've called it a shoulder injury.
Dr. Chow looked at it and said, it's probably UCL.
So, uh, you know, they don't have to tell us and they won't. So just, uh, It'll be a shoulder injury until we know exactly.
What it is.
So I don't know that we see him again this season. And if we're not going to see him build upon this season, I don't know that he is going to decide to come out now. That's a difficult thing all in itself, because if you don't come out next year. you are not going to have the benefit of Jeremiah Smith catching the ball.
I hope Chris Henry Jr. can be the next one up, right?
He looks great, but Jeremiah Smith might be the best wide receiver. in the history of college football right yeah he's gonna be top 10 regardless and probably already is top 10 right now so um yeah jeremiah smith looks incredible you won't have the benefit of him next year and there's a big question of what are you gonna look like without this heisman level you know, all pro worthy player right now that, you know, a lot of us are putting as the number one overall wide receiver right now in fantasy rankings moving forward, which is crazy that dude hasn't played. He hasn't even finished his last college season and we're putting him there. So, um, and he might deserve it. So, uh, Julian saying just the,
the tiny bit of regression this year, plus the injury makes me think that he comes back. So, uh, Going to lower him in my rankings just because I don't think he's going to be out. We'll readjust if he does decide to go out, but I think because of the fallback and because of the injury, he's probably staying put at Ohio State another year. Yeah, and this was already a prospect compared to these other quarterbacks we've talked about.
He's undersized, right? He's not the most mobile.
So he's already kind of playing at a deficit, and now he's not doing well under pressure. Well, if you get drafted to the NFL, especially if you're a top 8 to 10 pick, you're going to be behind probably a bad offensive line, right? You're going to have to, you know, have these pass rushers in your face. Yeah.
So I, I just do worry that, you know, maybe.
The ceiling is not there for Julian saying at the next level that we may be initially thought, but we'll keep you updated on that. One other quarterback here that is just free fall right now is Sam Levitt at LSU. And, Keep in mind, Levitt was number nine overall in our preseason rankings, albeit my fifth overall ranking did do some of that heavy lifting for him. But he's now outside both of our top 20s, consensually also outside the top 25 as well. And, you know, he still does lead the SEC in passing yards. He's throwing an all-time high completion rate, which you would expect in a lean Kiffin offense, and also on pace.
For career-high rushing numbers.
So it's not all bad, but the issue, Boggs, is when you watch Sam Levitt play for long stretches— He is drifting a lot to the right. He's also getting happy feet. And it feels like he's just kind of overly relying on his arm strength and his legs, right?
He has a nation-high eight interceptions right now.
So, Bob, what have you seen out of Sam Levitt this season with also one of the all-star cast of all-star cast in the country around him, a great offensive line. You know, running back situation isn't great, but he has, you know, six, seven, eight deep at wide receiver, traded his green healthy when he's out there as well.
You know.
Sam Levitt has all of the upside to be the best quarterback in this class. And I understand why you ranked him high coming in, right? Like, and we're seeing a lot of that this season of why he would be one of the best when he is, when he is moving in the pocket and he is ducking out of pressure and then.
He is hack. Yeah.
Slinging the ball on a play that just no one can really make. You see, The upside, it's there. And the numbers are proving it too, right? Like you said, really good stats this season. But my God, does he make a big mistake. Like a massive mistake in a critical part of the game. That game against Tulsa at home, right? Where, you know, he just did not look right. He had those picks in the first half.
Law tech. I think it was law tech.
You're right.
It was law tech.
Yeah, yeah.
I did the same thing.
So.
Yeah.
Law tech.
You're right. So that game, I mean, just massive boneheaded mistake. And he has eight picks, 14 touchdowns, eight interceptions, and he throws them in bunches. Those lose you whole games in the NFL and frustrate coaches and get you benched. So there's so much upside there, but I think you could put him, you know, he is performing way better.
And I would have him ranked ahead of arch right now, because I do think that he would, he's more likely to leave school at this point. And, Go to the NFL. But I think they're in the same bucket. I think you could put the three of these guys in the same bucket. Like Zayn has been the best, but he has size concerns and he's hurt and a little bit of regression.
Arch is in his head.
All the tools in the world to be the best quarterback should be the best quarterback isn't the best quarterback. So in his head, he needs to straighten that stuff out. Maybe a sports psychologist.
I don't know.
And Sam Levitt, Tom Fernelli.
Described him as getting the quarterback zoomies at some point in the game where he just like, you know, almost Josh Allen like as well, where he just will not give up on a play that he should just chuck it out of bounds, move on to the next play. And he tries too hard to fit it into a window that is not there and throws the ball to the other team. So he really needs to cut down on those turnover worthy plays because everything else is there for him to fly up this board specifically with the rest of these quarterbacks kind of trending down for the most part.
So I think, I think.
Levitt has the most upside to come up this board, but right now I would say he's probably slipped from.
Where we had him at the beginning of the season. We just need him to playing timing, right?
It's the same stuff we were kind of, you know, going on and on about with, with Kayla Williams coming in the NFL that he's so good off script that we just need you to play on script a little bit more, right. And not have to rely on your athleticism and your cannon of an arm to.
To, Use that when the play breaks down.
But don't use it just because nothing's there. Use it when the play breaks down. Move out of the pocket. And I know you want to make a big play on every play, but not every play is a big play. Sometimes you need to throw it out of bounds. Not take the stupid hit, too, because when you're moving like that, you're going to get crushed at some point, specifically playing in the SEC. So, yeah, just need to make better decisions overall.
And I think he is more viable to come out this year just because you have Landon Clark behind him, a guy who comes from Elon, who, you know, if Sam Levitt comes back, he's in danger of losing that job, right?
To Landon Clark.
And also you've, who's on Longstreet behind him, who, you know, red shirt freshman, has not seen the field, but he is a former five-star, right? Really, really high recruited guy who transferred from USC to come and play under Lane Kiffin. So I just think with those guys under center, It's going to be dicey if Levitt does try to come back and stay at LSU here. So, yeah, I think he has seven, eight weeks here if we see LSU make a postseason run where he's really going to have to up his stock. But SEC play has not been kind to him so far. We shall see how it plays out the rest of the way for Sammy Levitt.
The final biggest faller for us so far this season at the midpoint is Ahmad Hardy running back out of Missouri. And this is a guy who has yet to play this season. We have no update on his timetable to return from Eli Drinkowitz right now after suffering a gunshot wound on May 10th at a concert in Kentucky. And Jamal Roberts in his absence has been great, currently leading the country in rushing yards. So I don't know if this means that maybe Hardy comes back to Mizzou in 2027 and splits this backfield with Roberts. Maybe he transfers entirely.
Maybe he does enter the NFL draft anyway, or maybe he just retires. Like this is a bad entry bogs. It seems like to his leg that like, I just don't know what to expect for Hardy. We know he's super talented, but it just doesn't seem to be going his way here in 2026.
Yeah.
We're not trying to blame the victim here. Right. But this is looking more and more like it's just going to be a whole medical red shirt year. So what are we going to get from him when he comes back? What does he look like? Drinkwits has said, what we want from Hardy. And he said, and I'm not going to, if he's back at practice, I'm tweeting it. You won't hear it from Pete Thamel. You won't hear it from anybody else. It'll be from me. So he's ready for Hardy to come back. Hardy isn't ready. And there were reports that this bullet hit the bone, which is really bad, right?
So I just, I don't know what we're getting when we get him back, if we get him back.
So like we said, we're not, Trying to blame the guy that got shot. It sucks.
And if he comes back and plays and looks like he did last year, he's my.
Number one running back.
And it wouldn't be particularly close with Lacey being so banged up already. So I really want to see him play. But do we get him back this season and do we get him back at all? I just think these are questions that we have to have before we keep him on our list. Right. He was definitely on our list. We thought we're going to miss a big chunk of the season, but maybe he's going to come back. We'd have some news by now. We just have no news.
We don't know anything that's happening, whether he's close, whether he's far away, whether he's thinking about retiring or staying or transferring or whatever, we've heard absolutely nothing. So, uh, yeah, I think that's really, it is. We just need to get some type of real update from a mod Hardy, right?
Is he going to, is he trying to play?
Is it clear?
He's not going to be able to play this year, but next year is on the table and what's happening moving forward. I think that's just what we, we need to know the plan and we need to see him. And, I don't know if we get either one of those this year.
Yeah, he was six overall coming into our preseason consensus 2027 rookie rankings. And this is just one of those situations that if you and I are drafting rookies today, I can't put Hardy inside my top 24 because there's no way with the risk of him maybe never playing football again.
We don't know.
Again, that's speculative. You know, T's and P's up to the guy. We hope he can come back because What a terrible circumstance.
Right.
Just and I think this was one of those situations like he's back in his home area.
Right.
And this happens and it's just like so tragic, dude. It just it just stinks. You know, so, you know, thoughts out to him, man. We hope to see Ahmad Hardy back on the football field very soon. And if not, you know, it's one that we'll have to continue to monitor. And may we see him again in twenty twenty seven.
We are going to get to our updated super flex rookie big board. But before we do, if you want a chance to win the ultimate symbol of fantasy glory, the fantasy football championship belt, courtesy of our good friends over at Trophies Mac, the number one destination for epic fantasy football hardware, then this is your moment. And let's go ahead and get to our consensus update. Superflex Rookie Big Board. Scott and I both put together our top 20 rankings, and then we averaged that out to an ECR that gave us a top 25. And at number one, it is Jeremiah Smith still at 1.0 of an ECR ranking. Number two, consensusly, Charlie Becker. Moving up, Cam Coleman at number three. Darian Mensah, your first quarterback off the board at four. Kawan Lacey at five. Drew Mestemaker, six.
CJ Carr, seven. Dante Moore, eight. Nine is Trey Desgreen. Nick Marsh follows him at 10. Jane Baugh, Jamari Johnson. That rounds out your first round. And then into the second round, Trinidad Shan Bliss, who we haven't talked about, but this guy's been absolutely awesome too. There's no longer denying it. He's an older prospect. He's one of those guys you do wonder if he is just a great college football quarterback or if he's the real deal at the next level. Well, he's at 13 right now for us.
Ryan Coleman Williams currently banged up. Hope to see him back out on the field soon at 14. Wyatt Young, as we mentioned, at 15. Jay Maieva, another great quarterback that we haven't talked about at 16.
Austin Simmons at 17. Nate Frazier, 18.
Julian San, LJ Martin, Isaac Brown, KJ Duff, Ryan Wingo, Reed Harris, and Justice Haynes to round out your top 25. Boggs, let's talk about the top of this board here. it still feels like it's Jeremiah Smith and it's everyone else. But I think then there's a, you know, a nice tier between Charlie Becker down to, you know, really the CJ card Dante more, where would you kind of group that second tier together?
Yeah, I, I think you're right. I think it is a Smith and then Becker and Coleman together. And then it's the three quarterbacks with Lacey, right? Like Lacey is just, he's the most complete back. I think in this class, got to get him healthy though.
Right.
Yeah. Been banged up. That's a big, That's the big knock on it.
Fought through an injury last week, which was good to see against Missouri. But now they also have this other young stud running back there in Oxford that he's kind of splitting time with.
So we just need to see him really kind of.
He doesn't even need to be a workhorse, but just flash that brilliance that we saw a year ago.
Right, exactly. So I still think he's that same guy. So I still have him pretty high. But I do think our quarterbacks are correct here. Between Mensah, Mestemaker, Carr, you know, we both have Mensah up there. We know that probably... the ceiling is the most limited for him.
Yeah.
You know, maybe put Dante more right in that group as well, because he's really out because of this injury, but how much is that going to take off?
He was still going to be a top three pick last year. Like he's not getting outside the first round, no matter if, even if we don't see him again this year, which is a possibility now that we have to keep in mind with where Oregon season is.
Whoa, man.
Yeah.
That's it's been brutal for Oregon, but a mess maker, just so much upside. I want to see car. in the tournament, like that, you know, mess to make her. I don't know if they make it Oregon's not making it. Yeah.
CJ car.
I want to see against this top competition because I could easily move him over Darian Mensah. That wouldn't be a big issue. I don't think Darian Mensah is special, special. I just think he's the best quarterback in his class.
Yes. Very complete.
Yes.
So, um, and then, you know, there's a lot of skill position talent here.
Jane ball.
We've seen flashes of brilliance from him, you know, Couple weeks ago, he's probably firmly in the Heisman running. I don't think he is at this point. Texas did a pretty good job against him as well. Trade as green has been hurt, but tons of upside at the tight end position. So, yeah, there's a lot of really good pieces on this board still.
Yeah, at 12 specifically, I kind of wanted to spotlight Jamari Johnson. He was someone you have a good bit higher than I do in my own rankings. I'm 15 overall. You have him all the way up at seven. He was also banged up for part of this season. Is it just that you've liked what you've seen when he's been healthy? Because he has been an absolute stud. And you think with some of the stuff happening right now at the wide receiver position with Evan Stewart potentially missing the rest of the year after that DUI, we'll see, alleged DUI that is, we'll see what his... ultimate punishment is from dan lanning but is that like is this also like hey i like what i've seen from johnson and also kind of a projection through the rest of
the year.
Yeah i mean i think a lot of you know the stat lines have not been good the last few weeks but also no dante more right so uh 119 yards in that game at usc when he came back with dante more and then of course dante more left that game so but just from what we saw last year like he looked better than sadiq last year. And Sadiq was great, right? In six, five to 55, he has a type of physical tools that you cannot teach.
So between him and trade as green, he's healthier at this point. So it's kind of a coin flip between those two tight ends for me. But I think that he has all the skill to be a top tier tight end moving forward to the next level. Just, he doesn't have the quarterback play currently on this team to get the ball and make his move. So I'm still kind of going based off of what I saw a lot last year from Jamari Johnson.
What are your thoughts on Jayden Maeva?
Because he's someone that I have firmly inside my top 14. He was outside your top 20. To me, like I'm kind of done messing around. Like I've consistently this whole year, I feel like been flipping him and Julian saying, and like, I just think Maeva is the next level type of passer where he's bigger. He seems like he plays a little bit more in rhythm, even under pressure that I just think coaches are going to love. And he's coming from a Lincoln Riley offense that has produced many, many NFL quarterbacks as well.
So he's someone that I have moved up my rankings.
I think he is, you know, maybe he's still not a first round pick, but I think he could be late day one, early day two right now with how he's playing, especially, you know, really breaking in a new group of pass catchers.
Yeah.
And he's been great. Like I don't have any knocks on Jaden Maiva here. I probably, you know, I could flip him and Austin Simmons.
No problem.
I think maybe Simmons just has better raw.
Tools than Jaden Maiva.
So but I think they're both really good. So he's definitely one of those guys. I just think Shambliss like I think Shambliss is too overlooked at this point. And maybe I'm doing the same to my Ava at this point. But, you know, people look at Shambliss and see his size and think, no, no, thanks.
What?
We did this with Brock Purdy and now he's one of the best quarterbacks in the NFL. Right. So, like, I just I don't like the dismissiveness of Shambliss. So him and my Ava probably interchangeable and I probably need to have him on this list. So a good call out by you for sure.
I would, you know what?
I'm just going to make the move now. I'm going to put them in where I have Simmons and take Simmons off this list.
Okay. So, okay.
Um, quick question for you as well at the running back position is we have guys like LJ Martin, like Nate Frazier that are banged up right now. Does that, because I have them, um, right outside, um, my top 20. So they did not make my consensus list here. I do like the upside for both of them. Nate Frazier is the one that I specifically kind of a little bit worry about just because when he has come back, he's getting limited touches. We're seeing all of a sudden the third string running back, you know, go for nearly 200 yards against Alabama. I worry that Frazier doesn't come back to like an elite workload at any time. And like that was always kind of the question with his frame, right?
Is can he hold up at the next level? So I don't worry about the athleticism from Frazier, but I do think that this was not the season that you wanted to go out and put that on tape.
No. And I honestly, I would have Martin and Frazier probably just behind Nick Marsh if they were healthy.
Right.
Like, I believe in these guys. So that's kind of why I haven't completely had them fall off my list. I think Nate Frazier can be a great almost, you know, maybe I'm helmet scouting here, but reminds me a little bit of DeAndre Swift.
Right.
Yeah. Undersized, but can do everything. So I really do like watching him play.
And L.J.
Martin is a workhorse. Right.
I don't know.
Do you remember watching Jamal Williams at BYU? I know that was a long time ago. Like reminds me a little bit of that feeling. Right. Just a guy that can carry the full workload. But he got hurt. So can he carry the full workload?
Right.
I think I think his injury was in I think it was in one of those weather games. So I'm not going to put it all.
On him.
But yeah, these guys had moved down my board, but I just can't take them off because I do think they have very high end potential.
Last couple of players to talk about here, KJ Duff, Ryan Wingo, Reed Harris, kind of this next group of wide receivers who are up here. I think Duff is just brilliant, dude. I think with not only his athletic profile, but what type of dominator rating he is commanding right now for really bad Rutgers team has just been overly impressive.
So I've loved to see that Ryan Wingo.
We know like, you know, the tools, but he, he still always feels like a little bit of a gadget player at the next level. Like I just haven't seen him really take off and maybe we never will, but what's your thoughts here on Duff Wingo and Reed Harris, a guy who, you know, you've continued to have in your top 20 now for, you know, really last six or so weeks.
Yeah, and you can throw Amarion Miller in there from ASU as well, right? Like, I think this next tier of wide receivers, it's Duff, it's Wing. it's Deuce Robinson. You put Wesco in there, right? Deuce Alexander, TJ Moore. There are so many.
Cetania.
There are so many good wide receivers. Yeah, Wyatt Young we didn't mention. You know, if Mario Craver can stay on the field for A & M, he's pretty good.
As well.
So there are so many good wide receivers. It's hard to narrow them. Uh, I watch Wingo. I know he's way more than a gadget player. It's just the dumb way that Sark, like every, it feels like every second half starts with a screen to Wingo or it's a fake screen to Wingo because they do it so often. Every team is used to it. So, um, but you could see, he takes those, he gets one block and he's gone in a blink. He gets downfield and college open and goes up to make those, uh, you know, off kilter passes that Arch Manning, uh, has been throwing.
He comes down with them. So he's going to make a quarterback look good and he has crazy bursts. So I'm, uh, I'm very confident. Ryan Wingo is going to be good player in the NFL. And then it's like your pick of the big men, right? Who have these big guys? You like, you like KJ Duff. I like Reed Harris.
I also like KJ Duff. I could easily move KJ Duff ahead of, of Reed Harris.
They're both there.
Deuce Robinson is, is in that group as well. Like these guys have things that you cannot teach. You cannot teach six, five with, uh, you know, vice grip hands and, uh, you know, decent enough speed to beat guys. Um, you know, we, we've seen a lot of that. So, and even a guy like Brian Wesco, he isn't that big, but he's six, two and super fast, a four, four type guy. So, and Ryan Coleman Williams is just like, looked so much better outside of obviously getting hurt again, but, Yeah, a lot of these guys, whether it's like a one to like we saw Deuce Alexander just smoke Louisville twice, right?
Like you could throw him in there with that speed. So there there's a massive group of that, like second to third tier wide receivers that I think could all be on this list.
OK, well, let's go ahead and get out of here with a little rapid fire. And Scott, let's start out here at the top where I want to ask you, which prospect are you most excited to watch over the next month? The next four weeks are going to tell us a lot from a college football playoff standpoint, but also here from a dynasty perspective as well.
I want to see if Deshaun Bishop can keep doing what he's been doing with the quarterback issues that Tennessee is at, right?
Okay.
5'10, 208. He has 10 touchdowns already. 583 yak. That's six in the country. Wow. He's at 36 missed tackles forced. That's 12th in the country. 21 explosive runs.
It's 11th.
He's not much of a receiver. eight catches for 54 yards. But this last three games against Auburn, 34 carriers for two 20 and three Arkansas 19 for one 38 and one. And I don't know why they didn't give him the ball way more in that game. It didn't make a lot of sense. And then against Alabama in the wind, 32 carries for 159 and two scores. This is Ken Walker type numbers from college, right? Where, He's just a workhorse.
You know, it's coming because a quarterback play has been spotty and he makes it happen anyway. So I'm really excited to see if Deshaun Bishop can push his stock up.
Yeah, I mean, all of a sudden the Vols have life right there, kind of on their last last breath going into the third day, third Saturday in October. They came out with a big win and it hasn't been because McIntyre's looked great under center. Faison Brandon apparently riding the pine right now and he's healthy. So just like not great. And what's crazy about this is like there's always been like these running backs at Tennessee, whether it was the Jalen rights of the world and like that are always exciting and they're quick backs and they're twitchy.
But we've never seen like a true workhorse.
Right.
Because this has always been an air raid type of offense and they haven't been able to win that way this season.
It's been ground and pound. Win with a stout defense right there, right?
So I'm also excited to see if Bishop can continue to carry this Tennessee Vols team into the CFP.
Which prospect are you most worried about rest of season, Boggs? I mean, you have to ask me this question.
It's Arch, of course. You know, I think because Arch really, like we said, this next game I'm worried about for him because there is a chance that he comes out of this game and, you know, Texas beats Ole Miss at home.
Looks way better.
Both the wide receivers put up huge numbers, and everyone's, ah, Arch is fine. I don't know what we were worried about. It's only two losses, guys. What were we talking about? Or they look terrible, and Arch gets benched, and we don't see him at Texas anymore. There is such a wide chasm of possibilities for Arch moving forward, so he has to be the guy that I'm the most worried about.
And that's, you know, take my fandom out of it just for a prospect in this class. It's a major... Are you going to be Fernando Mendoza or are you going to be Will Levis? That's like the question that I have for Arch right now, and that is a world of difference.
Who is the Dynasty community too high on collectively, do you think, Scott? Someone that maybe, you know, whether that's consensus or whether that's just groupthink has not really caught up to this prospect in particularly.
Oh, man.
I don't know if I have a good answer to that. Is there one that stands out to you?
Wayne Knight.
Wayne Knight is the one because of his size. He's tiny. It's just like I've seen him push up as high as RB3 in this class. And look, nobody loves the G6 more than me and where Wayne Knight comes. No one loves JMU like I do. but, and it's been impressive to see what he's been able to do at UCLA. But I just think when you're five, seven, five, eight, maybe like, we don't know the true size of this guy.
You're really punching upwards. Right.
And I just do worry about it. I do think he has speed, but I don't know if he has like high end speed. That's going to get him like to be that, you know, that small and have a role at the next level. You have to have under four, four speed. And I just don't know if Wayne Knight has that. So, Wayne Knight is the one prospect that I just think we're getting a little too, you know, head over heels here. And, you know, I like the player.
I'm excited to see what he can do rest of season with UCLA in a position to not only make the big 10 championship, but maybe make a CFP berth as well. I just think maybe we're getting a little ahead of ourselves.
Here on there, you know, just brilliant running back. Yeah.
You know, I'm not a threshold guy, right? Like I don't really enjoy when teams say, well, If quarterback's hands aren't this big, we're not taking them. If a player's at this tall, we're not taking them. I think that stuff is dumb because it has led to missed opportunities so often. We just talked about Brock Purdy, right? And I think people are doing that to shambles a little bit right now. But for the running back position in size, you got to be 5'9. I think that's like 5'9 is the minimum of what I want. Maybe was MJD might have been 5'8, so maybe 5'8 is the threshold.
But you can't be 5'7. We've seen it from Darren Sproles, unbelievable college player, and had some good years in the NFL.
Sure.
Never the same guy. Donald Pumphrey, right? Donald Pumphrey was amazing at San Diego State. So we've had enough of these lessons in the past of, look, this guy's just too small to play at the NFL level at that position.
You know what I mean?
So we'll see what Pons can do at corner, but as far as running back goes, you got to be able to handle at least a little bit of a workload and Uh, I, I think you're right. I think Wayne Knight's probably just a little bit too small for that unless we're not measuring him. Right. If he comes in at five, eight and a half at the combine, I'll be way more, uh, you know, I'll be way more impressed.
But I think he's going to come in at like five, six and a half. So, okay.
I'm going to work.
Yeah, I agree with you there.
Last one for us before we get out of here, who is the dynasty community not talking about enough right now as November approaches?
I mean, you mentioned one of them, Isaiah Satania from Oklahoma, 5'10, 185. He's been playing with a bad quarterback in Johnny Mateer here, 33 for 442 yards and two touchdowns, but a 26.2 target share. And he's been doing it recently, right? Against Georgia, nine targets, eight catches, 81 yards. He had another nine for five and 64 yards only against Texas, but he had those huge two first downs at the end to seal the game. for the Sooners and got his foot in like incredible balance, incredible ball skills as well. And against Kentucky, 14 targets, eight catches and 83 yards. So a guy that is finally healthy and moving forward to Tanya is one of them. And then I think Anthony Evans, the third, the wide receiver from Mississippi state five, 11,
one 80, another undersized guy, but 63 targets, 47 catches, 614 yards, five scores, a 31.2% target share working with Camario Taylor and, And his last three games, I mean, against LSU, he did catch seven balls, but only for 40 yards because, you know, no Camario in that game. But the two before that against Missouri, 12 targets, eight catches, 114.
He put 15 targets, 12 catches, 166 yards and two scores on Bama. And Bama has some of the best secondary players in the country. So Anthony Evans, I think, is very underrated, along with Isaiah Cetania.
