[SPEAKER_01]: Oh, I don't disagree with you. [SPEAKER_00]: I'm having a honeyfall. [SPEAKER_00]: I love you're having a honeyfall I just felt like buttery yellow and honey or two like I've pictured like a golden [SPEAKER_01]: Okay, but I don't have a golden honey sweater here. [SPEAKER_01]: This was my version of it.

[SPEAKER_01]: All right, she have to be so particular and so specific. [SPEAKER_01]: This is honey yellow and that's my truth. [SPEAKER_01]: And if you want me to leave, I'll leave. [SPEAKER_01]: I do. [SPEAKER_00]: Oh, no, don't leave. [SPEAKER_00]: Don't let screw on your start. [SPEAKER_01]: I actually did.

[SPEAKER_00]: I just added a dark screen. [SPEAKER_00]: There was actually a moment like that in our rankings episode from 2022, which is what we're here to revisit today Where it was just like if you say this the podcast is over and you're like well, and the podcast right now Yeah, so we had I guess we had to it's very kiss me very full circle if you will because today We are here to revisit our rankings.

[SPEAKER_00]: We did a rankings episode on May 17th, 2022, which was four and a half years ago [SPEAKER_01]: That's insane. [SPEAKER_00]: Crazy. [SPEAKER_00]: And it was a two-part episode. [SPEAKER_00]: And it was a two-part episode. [SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, we're revisiting most of what we discussed in season one, in episode one episode.

[SPEAKER_00]: And a little bit of what we talked about in episode two, but the bulk of it was in episode one. [SPEAKER_00]: And I... [SPEAKER_00]: I'm really excited because I of course listened to the first episode you listened to the second just so we want to have some things to surprise each other with yeah I'm really excited to go through these with you because I'm so intrigued to know if you feel the same way if you're going to gasp if you're going to bury you know I don't fire yourself I'm going to be deeply confused by myself [SPEAKER_01]: As I was preparing this, all I could think about was, oh my god, which terror sent me a text message, like being like, I want this to be an interrogation.

[SPEAKER_01]: And so now is like, we get, like as I was prepping it, I was like, I'm gonna have a fucking flashlight in my face virtually, over this, because like, I know it's so, so different. [SPEAKER_01]: But like thinking about the podcast at that time, because we reared this, [SPEAKER_01]: The first part on last Thursday that I feel like the podcast itself has changed a lot Like we didn't start with the 5678.

[SPEAKER_01]: We used to do that. [SPEAKER_01]: Did it do which like I was like oh my gosh We did that in ranking in rankings. [SPEAKER_00]: We did that in part two. [SPEAKER_00]: Oh, we did okay Yes, we did like a little like chatty chat at the beginning and then it went to [SPEAKER_01]: And I said different, but in the last six, six, seven eight, but sometimes I'm like, should we do a chatty chatty at the beginning and then go in?

[SPEAKER_01]: What we do still. [SPEAKER_01]: I mean, do we need chatty chatty before an ending chatty chatty is to say, but it was just like, it was such a different podcast. [SPEAKER_01]: I felt like, because it was like, I think it wasn't even like our 20th episode, it was very, very early in the podcast.

[SPEAKER_01]: Oh yeah. [SPEAKER_01]: And we've changed a lot as people were very different spots in our lives. [SPEAKER_01]: We went through the whole series together, we went through the series. [SPEAKER_01]: Second time together, we were in very different spots, but I also feel like we can predict each other's responses because some of the responses that I had for that you gave for [SPEAKER_01]: the part that I prepared.

[SPEAKER_01]: I'm very interested to see if you feel the same because I feel like you don't and if you don't feel the same or if you do feel the same as you did then I don't feel like I know you as well. [SPEAKER_01]: I feel like I know you less. [SPEAKER_01]: Like it's gonna like kind of make me feel confused a little bit.

[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, it's just it was just different. [SPEAKER_01]: Also can tell you feeling like revisited for some reason feels very October like feels like Stokey season. [SPEAKER_01]: I'm dying of why. [SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, I don't know why either. [SPEAKER_00]: It's just kind of I don't know I felt like this was the perfect time of year to do this episode.

[SPEAKER_00]: Obviously when we first did it it was in May We were still figuring it out. [SPEAKER_00]: We didn't have like two seasons or or holidays or anything like that Times of year attached to our episodes quite yet [SPEAKER_00]: But now, we are very seasonal in our approach to the topics that we discuss and rankings revisited.

[SPEAKER_00]: We talked about it in this episode, which was, that was the part to me that made me like very emotional. [SPEAKER_00]: It was like, we're going to have to do a rankings revisited episode at some point and to know that like four and a half years later, we would A still be our guest and B, we doing it, like, kind of fulfilling the wishes of past us is, yeah, maybe that's when it was.

[SPEAKER_01]: Past us feel like little ghosts that we're answering to now, that's [SPEAKER_00]: Zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz [SPEAKER_00]: I loved hearing you say that because I literally just went silent and you were like you just looked at me Like I just said I love when Jess slashes Luke in the face Yeah, I looked at you like you had six heads We were talking about like no plot just vibes episodes like certain things that just yeah Gasped you said boys and bikinis for the first time

[SPEAKER_01]: It was not my first time speaking by any means. [SPEAKER_00]: It certainly wasn't. [SPEAKER_00]: But we say boys and bikinis all the time because it originated. [SPEAKER_00]: And also, and I'm sure if you listen to the episode on Thursday, you guys caught this. [SPEAKER_00]: I was like, oh, I was watching this episode with my boyfriend, Brett.

[SPEAKER_01]: So we talked about him in the next one, like in the episode, in the second part of it, rankings part two. [SPEAKER_01]: Oh, I can't remember exactly what it was. [SPEAKER_01]: It was something about Brett had just watched the first episode at work for the first time. [SPEAKER_01]: And I was like, gosh, I know.

[SPEAKER_01]: Because the day that we're filming this is actually October 1st, which it's like wedding month for y'all. [SPEAKER_01]: So seeing that I was like, oh my God. [SPEAKER_01]: I know it's crazy. [SPEAKER_01]: I'm like now that man's gonna be my husband. [SPEAKER_00]: I was like my friend, Brett Almost new boyfriend, Brett, brand new boyfriend brand new boyfriend.

[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, yeah, that's crazy You guys have been together as long as the podcast. [SPEAKER_00]: It's true. [SPEAKER_00]: The podcast in my relationship with Brett run very Intendum concurrent. [SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, yeah, I we we got from it you and I were connected first because you and I We're legally bound first so Way before him.

[SPEAKER_00]: Yes [SPEAKER_00]: But anyway, it was just really fun to reminisce on this episode or reminisce with this episode in preparing for today's episode. [SPEAKER_00]: And I'm just really excited because after we completed our Gilmore revisited series on Patreon, I know that we said by the end of it, we wanted to have a firm season standings for how we felt on a personal level and a storytelling level.

[SPEAKER_00]: And I don't believe we actually fulfilled that. [SPEAKER_00]: I think we wanted to wait. [SPEAKER_00]: to do an episode like this. [SPEAKER_00]: And of course, yes, we finished the series out with Gilmore revisit it about a year ago at this time. [SPEAKER_00]: So I'm really glad that we had a little bit of breathing room a little bit of space to revisit all of this together.

[SPEAKER_00]: So here's the thing is that the rankings episode originated because of our TikToks, which also feels very vintage because oh my gosh, yes, no, but we did this is the artist TikToks. [SPEAKER_00]: It was like this is the artist, this is the blah blah blah and ours were very different and I think that that's what sparked the idea for you to do an episode like this called rankings.

[SPEAKER_00]: I mean, that's what we said back in 2022 was that they said no that makes sense inspired this episode. [SPEAKER_00]: And it's like a Dutch TikTok, too. [SPEAKER_00]: Truly, truly. [SPEAKER_00]: I kind of want to repost them. [SPEAKER_01]: I got to have a find it. [SPEAKER_01]: I don't know if I want to even confront it.

[SPEAKER_00]: I want to see what I'm making. [SPEAKER_01]: I know it's true. [SPEAKER_00]: I can see myself add bangs. [SPEAKER_00]: I had bangs, and I was in my old apartment. [SPEAKER_00]: I had bangs. [SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, I had bangs. [SPEAKER_00]: Creepy times. [SPEAKER_01]: I'm bringing your bangs.

[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, they were very brief, very short-lived. [SPEAKER_00]: I was banged. [SPEAKER_00]: They were very brief. [SPEAKER_00]: nothing like a brief thing. [SPEAKER_00]: But anyway, we started this episode off with our personal and storytelling rankings of each season. [SPEAKER_00]: I think we should end with that because I do think it's important to discuss some of these other rankings before we get to that.

[SPEAKER_00]: So that'll be the grand finale. [SPEAKER_00]: But what I'd like to start with is talking about our favorite episodes from each season. [SPEAKER_00]: And I did a lot of research for this episode outside of just rankings because we talked about this every single season. [SPEAKER_00]: Yeah.

[SPEAKER_00]: It happened. [SPEAKER_00]: And so I did revisit any of them. [SPEAKER_01]: Oh, I revisited. [SPEAKER_00]: I would love that. [SPEAKER_01]: But surely off of my own vibes this morning sitting on my back porch in the series. [SPEAKER_00]: I'm so excited about because I'm really curious to see how they've changed.

[SPEAKER_00]: Because I was actually surprised and not surprised to learn that like mind changed less, especially for the early seasons. [SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, but like I kind of anticipate it because I had seen the early season so many times But the later seasons I think you and I were much more discerning in what we liked and what we didn't like But I'm really curious to know as we take it all the way back to season one Let's go.

[SPEAKER_00]: What are your favorite? [SPEAKER_00]: Let's go back Starting with season one what are your favorite episodes from season one? [SPEAKER_01]: Okay, this would have been a good time to have my notes up [SPEAKER_01]: You know, okay. [SPEAKER_01]: So I actually, for this one, I know that it's going to be very, very different.

[SPEAKER_01]: And okay, can I tell you, I'm actually very glad that early on in the podcast that we have this kind of like cemented ranking that feels kind of like our official ranking. [SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, people were starting to get to know us because it's one of the earliest episodes, like, episodes together have like over a hundred thousand listens.

[SPEAKER_01]: like those are just very popular episodes. [SPEAKER_01]: So I'm hoping that hearing our updated version maybe feels in keeping with who we have become. [SPEAKER_01]: Because I don't know what I said. [SPEAKER_01]: I'm just like, I'm this is me like delaying because I'm nervous. [SPEAKER_00]: No, no, I felt the same.

[SPEAKER_00]: I was actually surprised by some of the things that I said. [SPEAKER_00]: Um, okay. [SPEAKER_00]: You know, I was like, who is this? [SPEAKER_00]: Who is this girl? [SPEAKER_00]: Who is this girl? [SPEAKER_00]: Who is this girl? [SPEAKER_00]: Who is this girl? [SPEAKER_01]: Who is this girl?

[SPEAKER_01]: So I have three kind of that I couldn't really decide between in no particular order, actually the order is chronological through the season, but not in a favorite order. [SPEAKER_01]: I put the pilot, cinnamon's wake, and Maurice birthday parties. [SPEAKER_00]: Love. [SPEAKER_00]: Those are three really solid answers.

[SPEAKER_00]: I think so too. [SPEAKER_00]: What did I say before? [SPEAKER_00]: Oh, I do love that one too. [SPEAKER_00]: I said that my favorite episodes from that season were concert interrupted, which is when you revealed to me that you hated that episode. [SPEAKER_00]: And cinnamon's wake, and you said, Tara, my least favorite episode.

[SPEAKER_00]: Oh my god, this is concert interrupted, but also cinnamon's wake. [SPEAKER_00]: And I was like, actually, what are you talking about, Hilie? [SPEAKER_00]: That is so mean. [SPEAKER_00]: Get out of here. [SPEAKER_00]: Get out of here. [SPEAKER_00]: But by the time we got to October of 2022, you will change your tune on Cinnamon's Wake because we've finished season 1 together on revisited, but you said that forgiveness and stuff was now holding hands with the breakup part 2 and love Daisy's intro doors.

[SPEAKER_00]: Wait, you're so right. [SPEAKER_01]: I loved the breakup part 2. [SPEAKER_01]: Great episode. [SPEAKER_01]: And I love Love Daisy's intrus, but, oh man, maybe I actually give it that version of me. [SPEAKER_01]: I actually think I changed my mind. [SPEAKER_01]: I think that I agree with that.

[SPEAKER_00]: So what? [SPEAKER_01]: Like, if you had to pick a top three, what would you choose? [SPEAKER_01]: Top three. [SPEAKER_01]: Oh, I really, I do like where I've come with cinnamon's wake, but break apart too. [SPEAKER_01]: I forgot how much I love that episode. [SPEAKER_01]: Great, that's such a good episode.

[SPEAKER_01]: And Love Daisy's intrus is so good, but I, [SPEAKER_01]: I think that I put Marie's birthday parties before that one. [SPEAKER_00]: I just love that I was a sod, but I love the pilot too. [SPEAKER_00]: Yeah. [SPEAKER_01]: Okay. [SPEAKER_01]: I think I would say break apart to, in no particular order, break apart to Marie's birthday parties, and...

[SPEAKER_01]: I really liked forgiveness and stuff too, but I would put like cinnamon's bacon, the pilot kind of vibe-wise kind of very similar, but like cinnamon's work is where we really get the town. [SPEAKER_00]: So I'd love to hear you say that because I was listening to past Hailey, and I was like, past Hailey, what do you think?

[SPEAKER_01]: I don't think she had watched that episode in quite some time. [SPEAKER_00]: I guess not, but by the time we got to May, we had been new and Gilmore revisited for a second. [SPEAKER_00]: I thought, but I don't know. [SPEAKER_01]: I don't think we had gotten to cinnamon's wake, though. [SPEAKER_01]: Really?

[SPEAKER_00]: I thought that we started. [SPEAKER_00]: Oh, maybe we started in April. [SPEAKER_00]: We started. [SPEAKER_00]: We did the two part. [SPEAKER_00]: We did a two part on air pilot and then we went into the pilot. [SPEAKER_01]: So we were just doing them recently at that point, though. [SPEAKER_00]: Oh, yeah, we didn't do, I don't know exactly until May.

[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, it was right before we did. [SPEAKER_01]: Right before we started watching. [SPEAKER_00]: Okay, because I was like, I looked at the date and I was like, what do you mean, you've seen it? [SPEAKER_01]: You feel like, I mean, well, I've seen it. [SPEAKER_01]: I've seen it many a time at that point, but I don't think I had seen it for what it truly was.

[SPEAKER_01]: You know, I got, I get to it. [SPEAKER_01]: Well, we're totally agree. [SPEAKER_00]: So when I shared with you that concert in Toronto, since cinnamon's wake, we're two of my favorite episodes in rankings in the beginning of 2022. [SPEAKER_00]: Yeah. [SPEAKER_00]: In the fall, I changed it to love decent and true but always the break apart, too.

[SPEAKER_00]: And I said controversially, that damn dawn of read. [SPEAKER_01]: I love that episode. [SPEAKER_01]: That episode is so good too. [SPEAKER_00]: Hate that episode because of the whole worry, dawn of read thing. [SPEAKER_00]: You're here. [SPEAKER_00]: I love that episode. [SPEAKER_00]: We get the painting song from Laurel I we get Laurel I have Luke after hours at the diner at the end.

[SPEAKER_00]: It's the shock of the season thus far with Christopher returning and then it leads us into Christopher returns great episode and now I would have to say star cross lovers is also on that list for me. [SPEAKER_00]: It's a great episode but I liked the break apart to more. [SPEAKER_00]: So that's why that was in my top three at the time.

[SPEAKER_00]: And it's interesting, I still love concert interruptors and I know that that episode gives you just such anxiety. [SPEAKER_01]: But I just feel like it's Yucky. [SPEAKER_01]: Yeah. [SPEAKER_01]: Why is all of it? [SPEAKER_01]: Why are all those people's things at their house? [SPEAKER_01]: Yeah.

[SPEAKER_01]: They need to clean up afterwards and you know they're not going to. [SPEAKER_01]: I know. [SPEAKER_00]: So I'd say the break apart to love these these intributors and cinnamon's wake or my top three with honor Okay, mentions being that damn donarine and concert interrupt us. [SPEAKER_00]: Okay.

[SPEAKER_00]: I love that. [SPEAKER_00]: Yeah. [SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, I think I just have to include voice birthday parties like I just like what that Oh, I mean you're right. [SPEAKER_00]: So right like the drama that's really where we unlock Emily [SPEAKER_01]: We are so right and I know I'm not here to change your mind.

[SPEAKER_00]: No, I know you're not and I know we did an episode similar to this in building the top 25 episodes of Gilmore Girls last year but Man, oh man. [SPEAKER_00]: Good app. [SPEAKER_00]: Good app. [SPEAKER_00]: Okay, I have to I have to sleep on that. [SPEAKER_01]: Well, this is it's been an hour forever, hold your piece.

[SPEAKER_01]: You never get enough chance to say it ever again. [SPEAKER_00]: You're so right. [SPEAKER_00]: We're going to do least. [SPEAKER_00]: We're going to save least faves for the end. [SPEAKER_00]: Talk about faves and faves only because we have a really fun little list that we want to build at the end of the episode.

[SPEAKER_00]: So let's move on to season two. [SPEAKER_01]: Season two faves. [SPEAKER_01]: Like a mommy. [SPEAKER_01]: This is in like order of the season. [SPEAKER_01]: Not in order of faves. [SPEAKER_01]: But there's the rub. [SPEAKER_00]: Mm-hmm. [SPEAKER_01]: Teach me tonight. [SPEAKER_01]: more or less graduation day.

[SPEAKER_01]: Honorable mention, Red Tripped Harvard. [SPEAKER_00]: Okay, very much in line with what you said, both in rankings and in revisiting season two. [SPEAKER_00]: We did a two-part episode, tip of canoe, and season two, and that'll do season two. [SPEAKER_00]: And that was on March 7th, 2023, we did our season two recap.

[SPEAKER_00]: So you said, in rankings, teach me tonight. [SPEAKER_00]: I love when Roy breaks their arms. [SPEAKER_00]: I used to do. [SPEAKER_00]: And the road trip to Harvard. [SPEAKER_00]: Oh, no. [SPEAKER_00]: You gave a top five for season two. [SPEAKER_00]: And that was coming in at number five.

[SPEAKER_00]: There's the rub. [SPEAKER_00]: Then I can't get started. [SPEAKER_00]: And then you put a tie between Nick and Nora Siddennancy and teach me tonight. [SPEAKER_00]: I see number two. [SPEAKER_00]: Yeah. [SPEAKER_00]: Number two was the road trip to Harvard. [SPEAKER_00]: And number one was Lordly's graduation day.

[SPEAKER_01]: Yes, I would still say I can't get started as up there, but I feel very confident about my aim. [SPEAKER_00]: I look at that. [SPEAKER_00]: Season two really did say the same. [SPEAKER_00]: But this is when you reveal to us that you are not a braced bridge dinner group. [SPEAKER_00]: I'm not actually, still not to talk where we did that this is the artist.

[SPEAKER_00]: One of the questions was like, this is one of everybody else's faves, but I really don't get it. [SPEAKER_00]: And it was the Brace Bridge dinner, and that was very controversial because, oh, yes. [SPEAKER_00]: But that became like a cornerstone of conversation between the two of us when it came to season two, because you don't like the Brace Bridge dinner.

[SPEAKER_00]: And I know you still kind of find it a little appreciate the Glance Bridge dinner. [SPEAKER_00]: Okay, can I quote you? [SPEAKER_00]: You said, yes, you said in rankings, I find it to be really boring. [SPEAKER_00]: I don't have any real interest in the jury just tension doesn't feel interesting yet interest like this the glance bridge dinner.

[SPEAKER_01]: I know I don't think that I really cared [SPEAKER_01]: at the time. [SPEAKER_01]: I was not in early seasons. [SPEAKER_01]: Girlly, we hadn't really formed the kind of like go more to say opinion of the show. [SPEAKER_01]: Like I feel like it's very different separately. [SPEAKER_01]: And it is like together as a whole versus like [SPEAKER_01]: what the populous, what the fandom feels like.

[SPEAKER_01]: I feel like we have very different kind of feeling for the show. [SPEAKER_01]: Of course. [SPEAKER_01]: And I still am not a huge British dinner episode fan, but there's pieces of it that I like. [SPEAKER_01]: Because can I tell you? [SPEAKER_01]: I can tell you. [SPEAKER_01]: I feel very similar about you jump by jump jack.

[SPEAKER_01]: Really, not a fan of the episode as a whole, I like particular scenes from it. [SPEAKER_00]: Like I love the Emily and Richard from the Bracebridge dinner. [SPEAKER_01]: I, but like the rest of it, like I love the glancing because like, what was I thinking? [SPEAKER_01]: Like that's just like the best part of it is this, to be fair to past me, this is the first time that we really feel it.

[SPEAKER_01]: This is when it starts, this is the birthplace of it. [SPEAKER_01]: So it's really not that interesting yet in terms of story because it's based off of nothing, so I understand where she's coming from, but with our understanding of where it goes, I think that's what makes it interesting and so fun.

[SPEAKER_00]: I love the girl. [SPEAKER_00]: I understand where she's coming from. [SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, that was kind of backing up. [SPEAKER_01]: I kind of was backing up into it. [SPEAKER_01]: I was like, wait, she's kind of right from a storytelling perspective. [SPEAKER_01]: Why do we care about that yet?

[SPEAKER_00]: Hey, this is what it's for and so yeah, I get both sides of it. [SPEAKER_00]: I get both sides of my own opinion. [SPEAKER_00]: I hear you listen. [SPEAKER_00]: You have valid arguments. [SPEAKER_00]: I'm not here to change your mind. [SPEAKER_00]: I love that episode. [SPEAKER_00]: My faves from rankings for season two were theirs, the rub, the breastbridge dinner and a test get a task.

[SPEAKER_00]: And I think that that all stands to this day. [SPEAKER_00]: But in March of 2023, when we did our [SPEAKER_00]: I said, there's the rub, Bracebridge dinner, a Tisca de Tasket, Sadie Sadie, and I can't get started. [SPEAKER_00]: But you reminded me about Lorela's graduation day, and I was like, you're right.

[SPEAKER_00]: I do love a lot of graduation. [SPEAKER_00]: A good episode. [SPEAKER_00]: An incredible episode. [SPEAKER_00]: And one that we like really zeroed in on in our season two recap. [SPEAKER_00]: And subsequently went on to recognize last year for the top 25 episodes. [SPEAKER_00]: It's so good.

[SPEAKER_00]: It's so good. [SPEAKER_00]: It's a really good one. [SPEAKER_00]: Okay, moving on to season three, your season three faves. [SPEAKER_01]: I am very nervous to know what past me said about this season because I, at the time, I was not a huge season three fan. [SPEAKER_01]: I don't. [SPEAKER_00]: Yeah.

[SPEAKER_00]: Okay. [SPEAKER_01]: But to this day, to current me. [SPEAKER_01]: It's almost unfair. [SPEAKER_01]: I kind of feel like we should do a season three and then a season three limited, which is the trio. [SPEAKER_01]: Like, you just like can. [SPEAKER_01]: They shoot Gilmourst, don't they? [SPEAKER_01]: Let the games begin in deep fried Korean Thanksgiving.

[SPEAKER_01]: That is just my top episode, you know? [SPEAKER_01]: Like, that's its total season. [SPEAKER_01]: And so that's totally my answer. [SPEAKER_01]: It's one of the best trio. [SPEAKER_01]: It's not the best trio of the entire series. [SPEAKER_00]: It is the best trio of the entire series. [SPEAKER_00]: Do you know of a better one?

[SPEAKER_00]: Well, we compared season 2 and season 5 a lot, but we compare the trio's of season 3 and season 5 to each other. [SPEAKER_00]: But I think this one is better, especially given everything we just talked about with you, jump by jump jack. [SPEAKER_01]: Yes, these episodes as a whole, like individual episodes are just worlds better, because like you jump is just a subpar episode for [SPEAKER_01]: the spectacle that comes from it, like in terms of like all the other storylines are kind of like ma, but I feel like these three episodes on their own stand so well, but as a trio just chefs case.

[SPEAKER_01]: So I'm gonna put those as my my singular top episode as those three episodes. [SPEAKER_00]: So when we talked about this in rankings, the only thing that we both mentioned were they shoot Gilmour Stone thing and deep-fried Korean Thanksgiving, we didn't give let the games begin its flowers.

[SPEAKER_00]: But, well, when we revisited season three and we did our season three recap and aired that November of 2023, interestingly, we also didn't include let the games begin. [SPEAKER_00]: You said they shoot Gilmors don't they a deep fried cream Thanksgiving and a tail of Poz and fire I love a tail of a Poz and fire.

[SPEAKER_00]: You're so right. [SPEAKER_00]: That's one brewery decides to go to Yale Oh, like so okay. [SPEAKER_01]: Can I say it up like those three episodes are one episode and then a tail Poz and fire is the additional second episode It's almost like a it's almost like an entity [SPEAKER_01]: Yes, it's like that's like season three limited.

[SPEAKER_01]: Like it's just its own little mini series within the season, like those three episodes. [SPEAKER_01]: It's just, they're a step above the rest. [SPEAKER_00]: For me, I named them the trio. [SPEAKER_00]: I actually also left out, let the games begin, but I feel like it was implied. [SPEAKER_00]: And then I said that it was a tie between lazy, hazy, crazy days of summer and haunted leg.

[SPEAKER_00]: I'm so sorry. [SPEAKER_00]: It was great. [SPEAKER_00]: Haunted like it's where we get Emily. [SPEAKER_01]: It's hard to get Chris. [SPEAKER_00]: It's really good. [SPEAKER_00]: We get Jess and worry in the grocery store. [SPEAKER_01]: The grocery store. [SPEAKER_01]: And like when we recap to that, and we like kind of felt the true sort of like parallel nature between worry and more like storylines in that one.

[SPEAKER_01]: Delicious. [SPEAKER_01]: It's really good. [SPEAKER_01]: So we were pretty much on par with each other. [SPEAKER_00]: We just added a few lists. [SPEAKER_00]: But we had some big feelings about the rest of season three, which we'll talk about, which obviously you guys need to visit. [SPEAKER_00]: But we'll talk about with our least faves.

[SPEAKER_00]: So moving on to season four. [SPEAKER_00]: What are your favorite episodes from season four? [SPEAKER_01]: Well, I put like definitively, I have a favorite episode from season four, and I couldn't really decide on more, but the lower lights for a stay of you. [SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, you were very, very honest about that even even in rankings rankings, the update in April of 2024 when we finally did our season four recap, like you were that state the same 100%.

[SPEAKER_01]: And that's still true like I was adding some others like Luke can see her face is so good and like I love and like mid-season when we get the introduction of TJ But like I think that for me like that episode I just like it's hard to compare it to others I feel like that's the only season why I have like this is my favorite totally and you were very much in agreement You and past you shaking hands.

[SPEAKER_01]: I love you [SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, I celebrated it with my hands like that. [SPEAKER_00]: Yes. [SPEAKER_00]: I loved that. [SPEAKER_00]: But in rankings you also said Ted couples big night out and the last few episodes of season four. [SPEAKER_01]: Because Rinkot and recipes tell me it's not such a fantastic really.

[SPEAKER_01]: So I agree with that. [SPEAKER_01]: I agree with past me. [SPEAKER_00]: And I agreed with you and also added girls and bikinis boys do in the twist. [SPEAKER_00]: And this was before we watched Season 4. [SPEAKER_00]: This was interesting. [SPEAKER_00]: This was like in your rankings. [SPEAKER_00]: Do you still feel that way?

[SPEAKER_00]: Um, I think that it was just one of the most memorable episodes from Season 4 top of mine because we did in rankings talk about how we felt like season 4 was a very mid season. [SPEAKER_00]: Clearly boring. [SPEAKER_00]: Not one that you necessarily are going to turn on. [SPEAKER_00]: Oh, and the flowers me gave it.

[SPEAKER_00]: in our episode in 2020. [SPEAKER_00]: I'm sure we watched it. [SPEAKER_00]: We called it, lost him found myself loving season four because it was so good. [SPEAKER_00]: Wow. [SPEAKER_00]: We weren't, we weren't as far to say that this was a no skip season. [SPEAKER_00]: I still think that.

[SPEAKER_01]: See that was why it was really hard for me to pick a fade from this one. [SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, because like I have my singular faith, but there's just so many good episodes in this. [SPEAKER_00]: I know. [SPEAKER_00]: And the two that you listed in our season four, recap, we're normalized per state yell and Luke can see her face.

[SPEAKER_01]: But I said, oh my gosh, literally. [SPEAKER_00]: I also added the festival of living art, ring with some recipes. [SPEAKER_00]: Also, I mentioned Ted Coppall's big night out. [SPEAKER_01]: What a good one. [SPEAKER_01]: What a good one. [SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, I just feel like in season four, like episodes as a whole are just so good.

[SPEAKER_01]: Like the storylines were just so phenomenal. [SPEAKER_01]: Agreed. [SPEAKER_01]: Like who are those girls that were trying to, like, [SPEAKER_01]: Speak poorly. [SPEAKER_00]: No, but I think a lot of people feel that way and it was like we had a very split audience on it There were people who were of two minds in our audience like when we had that episode people were like guys Season 4 is actually really good.

[SPEAKER_00]: I promise when you get there. [SPEAKER_00]: You're gonna enjoy it And we were like, okay, and Exactly, we were talking just like we never seen it before. [SPEAKER_00]: Yes, and then like other people who were like Yeah, I agree season 4 is kind of mid because it's like the in-between between two really strong [SPEAKER_00]: story, story lines in two really strong romantic relationships for relationships and Logan.

[SPEAKER_00]: But there were a lot of people after we did this episode who changed their minds along side us. [SPEAKER_00]: They were like, yeah, I actually didn't really have an appreciation for season four until we watched it together and talked about it, you know? [SPEAKER_01]: Can I tell you, I think that that's like one of the only full seasons where the deep dive, like nitty-gritty sort of like pulling apart of the season that we did, ultimately ended up in the season's favor of like, oh, so we love this.

[SPEAKER_01]: Like what you did here, fantastic, great job everyone. [SPEAKER_00]: I feel like that's the only time that that really came back where we were like, oh, yes, okay, great. [SPEAKER_00]: Good job everyone. [SPEAKER_00]: So moving on to season five, your favorite season. [SPEAKER_00]: What do you have for your favorite episodes?

[SPEAKER_00]: Favorite episode, Norma Mailer and pregnant? [SPEAKER_01]: Oh, what a delight from beginning to end, such a good episode. [SPEAKER_01]: And I put you jump by Jack particular scenes, which that's not fair. [SPEAKER_01]: We can't we can't pull the scenes apart, but I still stand by it. [SPEAKER_01]: The parties over and wedding bell blues.

[SPEAKER_00]: Okay, so in rankings, you actually shocked me with this one. [SPEAKER_00]: You shocked me with your terrace, so if you shocked me in the moment, you said that your favorite episode of season five was Pupil friction. [SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, yes. [SPEAKER_00]: I still would like my label blues followed by you jump by jump jack, but you like the parties over more.

[SPEAKER_00]: That is okay, don't you tell you. [SPEAKER_01]: Can I tell you that it's still so true? [SPEAKER_01]: It's still so true, like, I, okay. [SPEAKER_01]: If I was ranking this in by myself, my own room and not sharing it, I still think that pulp friction is one of my favorite episodes. [SPEAKER_01]: I just love that so much, but I think, if I'm like talking about the way that I've evolved in my taste, like, normal male and pregnant really came out of, like, yeah, this was what the recap really brought to us is like, so recap.

[SPEAKER_01]: That was your number two. [SPEAKER_00]: Wedding bulb house was your number one. [SPEAKER_00]: Normandy Millions is your number two. [SPEAKER_00]: And pole friction was your number three. [SPEAKER_00]: With honorable mentions of the parties over, which I found it interesting, because you'd mentioned it in the first rankings we did.

[SPEAKER_00]: But in September of 2024, when we did our season five recap, we were big fans of, but I'm a Gilmore. [SPEAKER_01]: Yes. [SPEAKER_00]: Oh, the best job is so it's in the entire season. [SPEAKER_01]: I wanted to include that, but like I was like, I'm listing too many things now for you now.

[SPEAKER_01]: I know. [SPEAKER_01]: Because I love it so much. [SPEAKER_01]: You're scaring Pedro. [SPEAKER_01]: Like, Tara, that's like one of the best lines of the series. [SPEAKER_01]: You're like my couldn't include it in the top 26 lines because people would be like, these girls are in my book as bad.

[SPEAKER_00]: These girls have lost it. [SPEAKER_01]: but it's just so good like that one's oh see that's a problem with season five there's just so many things that I love personally that like other people just probably wouldn't understand about me but like to live in that diorama also an excellent episode that season is just so good but there's just so many really good episodes I think together we were like yes yes yes but like personally [SPEAKER_01]: whole friction is like always gonna be up there because like young me rewatch that episode so many times I don't even know if that disc still exists it's probably like lots of scratches lots of scratches like yeah forever that was probably one of the discs that my mom is like absolutely not you have to stop watching this show yeah i'm taking it away i'm taking it away like you have to do your homework i'm taking these from you look at me now we're a little bit look at her now

[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, I had pretty much the same thing when I first did my rankings in 2022. [SPEAKER_00]: It was wedding bell blues pulp friction and but not as cute as Pushkin. [SPEAKER_01]: Another episode I really love. [SPEAKER_00]: And then by the time we got to September of 2024 and we did our season 5 recap, mine was number one wedding bell blues, number two norm Miller and pregnant, which we knew are top two were going to be the same.

[SPEAKER_00]: Number three, the parties over, number four, but I'm a Gilmore. [SPEAKER_00]: And my honorable mention was you jump by job jack, which I was surprised by. [SPEAKER_00]: But I think it's because that trio, that trio is a whole, is still strong. [SPEAKER_01]: It's still strong trio. [SPEAKER_01]: It really is just the alternative storylines to the life and death brigade event, feel like they don't, like they don't live up to the spectacle.

[SPEAKER_01]: Like they don't even, even in cozy feeling, they don't have that same energy. [SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, yeah, totally. [SPEAKER_00]: They could have done it. [SPEAKER_01]: I feel like they could have made the rest of it stronger But Dan Paladin, I still love you Kenny Orteva. [SPEAKER_01]: What you did for the last time.

[SPEAKER_00]: Oh, no, it's a brilliant episode And what you did for like the story line of worry and Logan in that episode really just brilliant. [SPEAKER_00]: That's I think just had a tough time [SPEAKER_00]: separating the other half of the episode because I think a lot of people of course think about I mean it's the same as but I'm a Gilmore a lot of people don't necessarily think of that being a great episode on the outset because they're thinking about what happens when Brie goes to dinner.

[SPEAKER_00]: It's uncomfortable. [SPEAKER_00]: It's uncomfortable. [SPEAKER_01]: It's uncomfortable. [SPEAKER_01]: It's good. [SPEAKER_01]: It's good. [SPEAKER_01]: It's good. [SPEAKER_00]: It's good. [SPEAKER_00]: Conflict but the other half of the episode being Luke and Suki like battling and out and her upstairs in bed because she's on bed rest and Pedro going upstairs with this ladle.

[SPEAKER_00]: It's so damn funny, it's so good, but similarly with you jumpi jump jack, like you jumpi jump jack, the actual life and death brigade event is what you think of because that is the, you know, that is the title call out you jumpi jump jack, but the other half of the episode being that the Gilmors are kind of fighting over Luke.

[SPEAKER_00]: It's not as exciting. [SPEAKER_00]: And so you're just like, whoo. [SPEAKER_00]: do I love it? [SPEAKER_01]: But it's also where we're in Logan get together finally, like at the beginning of that episode. [SPEAKER_01]: Like, you forgot I'm a little more. [SPEAKER_01]: Yes, but in that episode, like, oh, you guys are a couple at the beginning of this episode, like right off the bat, like right after the cold open, and then your family's yelling at her, and then you come back and like there's that very sentimental moment.

[SPEAKER_00]: That's like also kind of what I think about. [SPEAKER_01]: So, oh, that's what you get up to so I don't know. [SPEAKER_01]: I actually don't know what my fav is other than like wedding bell blues and normally they're in pregnant because the rest I have season is so good. [SPEAKER_01]: I just love it.

[SPEAKER_00]: Oh, it's not getting what season five. [SPEAKER_00]: Just like words would be great. [SPEAKER_01]: Something inside of me. [SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, I understand. [SPEAKER_00]: Okay. [SPEAKER_00]: Moving into season six because I know that you also love this season very much or at least you did when we initially did our ranking.

[SPEAKER_01]: I still do. [SPEAKER_00]: I still do don't you said that you had a really difficult time choosing your favorite episodes because this is a no skip season for you Do you still feel the same way? [SPEAKER_01]: Here's something in the privacy of my own privacy [SPEAKER_01]: with nothing to be said.

[SPEAKER_01]: I would watch the whole season without skipping it. [SPEAKER_01]: But this is not, and this is not a no skip season. [SPEAKER_01]: This is a very skip season. [SPEAKER_01]: It's a skip season. [SPEAKER_01]: It's a very skipable. [SPEAKER_01]: It's a highly skipable season. [SPEAKER_01]: It's actually maybe Loki, one of the most skipable seasons.

[SPEAKER_01]: I might even go as far to say. [SPEAKER_01]: I might even go as far [SPEAKER_01]: Maybe my Apple remote is lost, which it is at the moment and I didn't feel like pulling it up on my phone. [SPEAKER_01]: I would not skip it. [SPEAKER_00]: You know [SPEAKER_00]: All that said, though, what are your favorite episodes from season six?

[SPEAKER_00]: Plardings, top of the list, both times. [SPEAKER_01]: Top of the list, partings, second, probably partings again, and third, probably partings as well. [SPEAKER_01]: But Friday night's all right for fighting. [SPEAKER_01]: Half to include that. [SPEAKER_01]: Love that as an episode as a whole, love saving the newsroom, love the fight at the end.

[SPEAKER_01]: Love that episode as a whole. [SPEAKER_01]: Also, controversially, always love 21 as a lonely number. [SPEAKER_00]: Yes, okay, so this is what you said. [SPEAKER_00]: You said your faves in rankings were important. [SPEAKER_00]: Oh, thanks. [SPEAKER_00]: At the top. [SPEAKER_00]: And then you said you had a hard time choosing between Friday nights or right for fighting and bridesmaid's revisited.

[SPEAKER_01]: I love bridesmaid's revisited. [SPEAKER_01]: Really? [SPEAKER_01]: Yes, okay, so that's again, privacy of my own privacy. [SPEAKER_01]: I would watch it in your Valentine and bridesmaid's revisited. [SPEAKER_00]: I know. [SPEAKER_00]: You also talked about it. [SPEAKER_00]: But you talked about, because we talked about it in your Valentine because of the this is the artist TikToks and you were like this is one that I love but like other people don't hate it and if you don't see it, that's fine.

[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah. [SPEAKER_01]: I'm watching it in my bedroom by myself. [SPEAKER_01]: Yeah. [SPEAKER_00]: But then you brought up 21 is the loneliness number. [SPEAKER_00]: I love that. [SPEAKER_01]: I love how sad that is. [SPEAKER_00]: And then in February of 2025, when we did our season 6 recap, you said number 1 was partying.

[SPEAKER_00]: Number 2 was Friday night. [SPEAKER_00]: Friday night's all right for fighting. [SPEAKER_00]: Number 3 is 21 is the only number, and your honorable mention was up in your Valentine. [SPEAKER_01]: Oh, I still think you're a little clinically insane for it, but hey, who am I? [SPEAKER_01]: That's fine.

[SPEAKER_01]: You know, well, I medicated now at the time, I wasn't, so like, fixing that's not true. [SPEAKER_00]: That's not true. [SPEAKER_00]: We said that that episode was sponsored by Lexapro. [SPEAKER_01]: Oh, wait. [SPEAKER_01]: Okay. [SPEAKER_01]: No, no. [SPEAKER_00]: I'm pulling this, I listen to like seven different episodes.

[SPEAKER_00]: You're right. [SPEAKER_01]: Okay. [SPEAKER_01]: Yeah. [SPEAKER_01]: Yeah. [SPEAKER_01]: Because I wasn't. [SPEAKER_01]: So neither was I. [SPEAKER_01]: But the sheer fact that I have maintained that. [SPEAKER_01]: I feel very good about that in my core. [SPEAKER_01]: Yeah. [SPEAKER_01]: Like.

[SPEAKER_01]: I was sure I were going to still get more Grelly girl and she still exists deep inside me. [SPEAKER_00]: And as it turns out, it's not that deep. [SPEAKER_00]: She's right here. [SPEAKER_00]: She's talking. [SPEAKER_00]: She's talking to you right now. [SPEAKER_01]: I feel very confident about that actually.

[SPEAKER_00]: What do I get? [SPEAKER_00]: What were yours? [SPEAKER_00]: Mine in rankings were, let me hear about Lake is ringing out. [SPEAKER_00]: We've got magic to do and the [SPEAKER_00]: Then in the season six revisited on February 25th, 2025, I said, parties on a remote mentions, lay, but at the top of the list, parties with a remote mention.

[SPEAKER_00]: I said, let me hear you about Lake as ringing out. [SPEAKER_00]: Welcome to the dollhouse and friend and I sorry for fighting. [SPEAKER_00]: Not in any particular order. [SPEAKER_00]: But with the honor of the dollhouse is actually a part of this. [SPEAKER_00]: Excellent. [SPEAKER_01]: That was so hard.

[SPEAKER_01]: Partings was only an honorable mention. [SPEAKER_00]: I said it was an honorable mention because I appreciated [SPEAKER_00]: like how beautiful that episode was. [SPEAKER_00]: Um, but it wasn't necessarily my favorite. [SPEAKER_00]: And you also were very surprised that I didn't say I get a side kick out of you because I gave that episode of 10 out of 10 as I did with her things.

[SPEAKER_01]: But I was sobbing in the recap of partying. [SPEAKER_00]: I know, but doesn't mean that it's one of my favorites. [SPEAKER_00]: It doesn't mean that I'm turning it on to watch casually. [SPEAKER_01]: I loved her. [SPEAKER_00]: I would watch. [SPEAKER_00]: Let me hear your ballet because ringing out Friday nights right for a fight in great episodes.

[SPEAKER_00]: Welcome to the Dollhouse. [SPEAKER_00]: I kind of remember. [SPEAKER_00]: But really really enjoyed that. [SPEAKER_00]: That's her own bag. [SPEAKER_00]: Okay. [SPEAKER_01]: And it in. [SPEAKER_00]: And I think I initially said we've got magic to do because I really really loved the Shira Emily scene.

[SPEAKER_00]: That's a good one. [SPEAKER_01]: We're in her little, like, 19. [SPEAKER_01]: I always say you get the U.S. Yeah. [SPEAKER_01]: U.S. [SPEAKER_01]: Yes, you do. [SPEAKER_01]: I love to say UFO. [SPEAKER_00]: And but all in all, I said season six was a mess and I stand behind that. [SPEAKER_00]: And we actually agreed on that.

[SPEAKER_00]: You said episodically you felt that season three was better, but season six is less messy with a better season arc. [SPEAKER_01]: I think that's true. [SPEAKER_00]: I said that I I kind of agreed, but we had agreed that season I was like I really didn't like season six and I kind of still stand behind that.

[SPEAKER_00]: I felt like it was a bit of a mess. [SPEAKER_00]: It was a little all over the place, but ultimately they landed the plane with partings. [SPEAKER_01]: You did land that plane. [SPEAKER_01]: I surjected that. [SPEAKER_01]: That's a great idea for it. [SPEAKER_01]: I'm going to hold to it.

[SPEAKER_01]: That's a great idea for it. [SPEAKER_01]: I'm going to hold to it. [SPEAKER_01]: That's one of your favorites even if you don't agree with it. [SPEAKER_00]: All right. [SPEAKER_00]: Sounds good. [SPEAKER_00]: With season 7. [SPEAKER_00]: This is tough to talk about because we really didn't like a lot of this season.

[SPEAKER_01]: This is tough to talk about because at the time I was very process in seven because I was a cherry picker, a popcorn to that one. [SPEAKER_00]: You were a cherry picker, but you were very honest about like, you were like, you know what my top episode is. [SPEAKER_00]: And it's, I'd rather be in Philadelphia, correct.

[SPEAKER_00]: And I said the same thing. [SPEAKER_00]: I also said so wonderful, marvelous. [SPEAKER_00]: This was all in rankings in 2022, of course. [SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, I finished it last summer. [SPEAKER_00]: I also gave my flowers to Bon Voyage in season. [SPEAKER_00]: Yes, I didn't revisit it. [SPEAKER_00]: I did not revisit it because, honestly, I didn't want to spend a ton of time on season seven, but I didn't revisit what we said, but fresh top of mind, I also remember us really, really liking Bon Voyage a lot more by the time we got to.

[SPEAKER_01]: We loved Bon Voyage and go Bulldogs. [SPEAKER_01]: Oh, we liked to go Bulldogs because it felt the most of time, no, but we really liked what you'd be my lower, like, a more. [SPEAKER_00]: We did. [SPEAKER_00]: We did like will you be my little or like a more. [SPEAKER_01]: Because other than I'd rather be in Philadelphia, I put will you be my little or like a more.

[SPEAKER_00]: We did really like that one. [SPEAKER_00]: It would just felt like a return home. [SPEAKER_00]: And I think it was because of the time we made sure of it all, you know, lanes pregnancy, the bed rest. [SPEAKER_00]: I liked that one a lot more than I thought I would. [SPEAKER_00]: But I really, really liked Bon voyage.

[SPEAKER_00]: It was up there. [SPEAKER_00]: Yeah. [SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, so I anticipated it. [SPEAKER_01]: I didn't like swindler false marvellous as much as I thought I would. [SPEAKER_01]: I actually have a comment from you from rankings part two that I really very interested to find out more about.

[SPEAKER_01]: Okay, but yeah, but go bulldogs. [SPEAKER_01]: I have a problem with because that was that, like kind of setting up that thing, where worry would call bore lie and then be like, why are you talking to me? [SPEAKER_01]: I have to go. [SPEAKER_01]: I know, we were just like, you called her and happened several times and you're just kind of like, what is going on here?

[SPEAKER_01]: Um, yeah, it was just the most, I felt like the most atominal, like in that time period of what we were totally reaching for that feeling. [SPEAKER_01]: but the state. [SPEAKER_00]: The other one that we really ended up liking from season seven was it's just like writing a bike because we felt like the dialogue and the nature of where Luke and Laura like finally come like they arrived home to each other was really, really well done and that was in our least faves in our rankings episode in 2020 too.

[SPEAKER_01]: Interesting. [SPEAKER_00]: Actually, specifically it was in your least faves. [SPEAKER_00]: I don't think I really remembered it. [SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, I think that maybe Logan's maybe just in one scene, but we fit all, yeah, that makes a lot of sense. [SPEAKER_01]: That's really guided a lot of my faves and these faves at the time.

[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, I know. [SPEAKER_01]: Or maybe my least faves, more so than my faves. [SPEAKER_00]: And then for a year in the life, what do you remember what you're ranking was of each, like, mini movie? [SPEAKER_00]: Oh, I don't. [SPEAKER_01]: So, no. [SPEAKER_00]: We both agreed that it was, like, from top to bottom, fall winter summer spring.

[SPEAKER_00]: I think upon reflection, we would switch the bottom two. [SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, we would say, like to spring a lot more than we'd like to summer. [SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, we would say fall winter, spring summer, summer, yeah. [SPEAKER_00]: Hmm, interesting, interesting, and those are our rankings.

[SPEAKER_01]: Okay, I actually, I was nervous for that, but I shouldn't have been. [SPEAKER_00]: Wait, I didn't need to be. [SPEAKER_00]: You were nervous because I said I kind of wanted to interrogate you. [SPEAKER_01]: I know, that's actually coming into a podcast episode with someone wanting to interrogate you is kind of scary.

[SPEAKER_00]: I wonder though if, like, I wanted to interrogate you more on the ones that you said you didn't like. [SPEAKER_00]: And we'll get to that later. [SPEAKER_00]: Okay, okay, scared, but it's spooky, it's spooky, it's spooky, it's spooky, it's spooky, it's spooky, it's spooky, it's spooky, it's spooky, it's spooky, it's scary, yeah, okay so now we're going to move into rankings from part two, which you listen to, I'm no idea when I'm walking into right now, [SPEAKER_01]: No, you do, you, I feel like you do, because this is what we did.

[SPEAKER_01]: Worries relationships and localized relationships. [SPEAKER_01]: But specifically, we both decided separately, which are also arriving to the same conclusion separately to bring to the episode. [SPEAKER_01]: Brand new. [SPEAKER_01]: We never do that. [SPEAKER_01]: was to do it based on the relationship to the character.

[SPEAKER_01]: Like, Rory's special relationship to Rory, not what we felt. [SPEAKER_01]: Not what we felt. [SPEAKER_01]: It's true. [SPEAKER_01]: Rory specifically, because quite surprised me. [SPEAKER_01]: So because in that episode, we did Rory first. [SPEAKER_01]: And then we did Lorelie. [SPEAKER_01]: I will do the same here.

[SPEAKER_01]: I feel very similar about my list. [SPEAKER_01]: I think that years will come out the same as well and I'm interested to see the reason why. [SPEAKER_01]: So starting from the bottom, who is your bottom. [SPEAKER_01]: for Rory's men, for Rory's men, for Rory. [SPEAKER_01]: Can I have a bank?

[SPEAKER_01]: I kind of don't want to. [SPEAKER_00]: I kind of want to see what you see. [SPEAKER_00]: Can you tell me how many there are? [SPEAKER_00]: You have six and I have seven. [SPEAKER_00]: Okay, I wasn't sure if we were gonna include Paul because I think that would be at the bottom for me. [SPEAKER_00]: That is at the bottom for you.

[SPEAKER_00]: Okay, yeah, so I have six. [SPEAKER_00]: I forgot about Paul. [SPEAKER_01]: You still had seven? [SPEAKER_01]: I have seven as a result of remembering Paul, but you said, bottom of it, Paul. [SPEAKER_01]: I said, ah, forgot. [SPEAKER_01]: Ha ha ha ha, completely forgot about Paul. [SPEAKER_01]: Pull me so rightfully so.

[SPEAKER_01]: So it's very in keeping with who Paul was, but you disagreed with why I had seven, but we can get there. [SPEAKER_01]: But ultimately I did have to add Paul at the end because I was like, oh, okay. [SPEAKER_01]: Actually, Paul was not my bottom. [SPEAKER_01]: Okay, who's your next? [SPEAKER_01]: Yeah.

[SPEAKER_01]: See, I put Tristan at the very bottom and the put Paul above him. [SPEAKER_01]: That's insane. [SPEAKER_01]: I don't know why I would do that. [SPEAKER_01]: That's quite funny. [SPEAKER_00]: Well, here's the thing. [SPEAKER_00]: I guess we don't know how Paul was as a boyfriend. [SPEAKER_00]: I mean, he was very loyal, all things considered.

[SPEAKER_00]: Okay, this is our own conversation. [SPEAKER_00]: That's fine. [SPEAKER_00]: We said that. [SPEAKER_01]: We said that we were confused by him because like have some self respect. [SPEAKER_01]: like you have some more dignity and so that was kind of why like we put him down there. [SPEAKER_01]: But for Tristan it was because there was like an egg for the character not for Chad Michael Murray.

[SPEAKER_01]: There was no real reason for him to feel like a heartthrob and anyway other than he was like pulling at her pigtails and so that was why Paul and Tristan were kind of interchangeable for me because like [SPEAKER_01]: the character of Paul, we don't really know other than the fact that he has no self-respect or right real.

[SPEAKER_01]: I don't even know what the word is for this. [SPEAKER_01]: He just likes to try to recognize it. [SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, and then with Tristan, it was really the Chad Michael Murray effect of him, but not really his character. [SPEAKER_00]: Number four for me is Dean. [SPEAKER_00]: Yeah. [SPEAKER_00]: Yeah.

[SPEAKER_01]: You said he was so insufferable as a character, but there was a time that the two of them were in sync and you could have made it. [SPEAKER_01]: Number three is Marty. [SPEAKER_01]: Yes. [SPEAKER_01]: You said that he was at pick me in the early seasons and they assassinated him in season seven in a way that you didn't want to comment on.

[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, I agree. [SPEAKER_01]: I still commented on it. [SPEAKER_00]: Of course, but you felt it. [SPEAKER_01]: But in the sense that like it wasn't something that you wanted to pull into this ranking, okay? [SPEAKER_01]: Because at that case, he would be at the bottom. [SPEAKER_00]: Yeah.

[SPEAKER_00]: Number two is Jess because even though I'm team Jess, he wasn't a good boyfriend and for no name. [SPEAKER_01]: You said team Jess 5 ever. [SPEAKER_00]: It's true. [SPEAKER_00]: And then number one is Logan because I do think that at the end of the day, she had the deepest relationship, the deepest love with Logan, even though I believe [SPEAKER_00]: She and Jess are twin flames.

[SPEAKER_00]: I just think that when they dated because like here's the thing I think Dean sucks, but had Dean and Ray met in a different time in their lives and like or if we isolated them just to their relationship When they were in high school in the early years, maybe he'd be hiring my rankings But he wouldn't the way that they're really no probably not, but the way that their relationship ended up panning out I also have to take into consideration for how right he is for her, which is not at all [SPEAKER_00]: and though I take issue with Logan and the way that everything played out in the room Bible, I do big yuck, big big yuck, loser yucko.

[SPEAKER_00]: I don't think that I can necessarily like I could put Jessen Logan on a similar plane because there are pros and cons for each of them. [SPEAKER_00]: Logan, [SPEAKER_00]: messed up and a lot of ways I think they're I think in season six their miscommunication about their break up him sleeping with other women They were broken up but we're not thinking they were broken up.

[SPEAKER_00]: I don't necessarily think that like him going off and sleeping with other women is a coping mechanism that I admire But you know do you honey boo [SPEAKER_00]: Like, you know, it's just, it's not that Logan was perfect. [SPEAKER_00]: It's not that the relationship was perfect. [SPEAKER_00]: But I do think that they're shared, love for each other, and the relationship itself was the best match for her overall.

[SPEAKER_00]: You said the same thing in Rhinx. [SPEAKER_00]: Using similar or everything else to the thing, yet nothing's changed at all, exactly. [SPEAKER_00]: Cause you said it's different, nothing's changed. [SPEAKER_01]: You said like that exact sort of sentiment. [SPEAKER_01]: Was it was for Rory based on the relationship to Rory?

[SPEAKER_01]: Just was a good friend. [SPEAKER_01]: Just was a good character. [SPEAKER_01]: Just was maybe better character, but like that was not what we were doing here. [SPEAKER_01]: The reason I had seven over six, which you disagreed with me is because from the bottom I ranked them Tristan Paul.

[SPEAKER_01]: I don't know. [SPEAKER_01]: I'm just let them do it out. [SPEAKER_01]: Sheen. [SPEAKER_01]: Young Jess. [SPEAKER_01]: Marty you still the mess Logan. [SPEAKER_01]: Yes, so I split them up because I felt like there was enough of a divide in the show As their characters to split them up because just from season four is not just from season six and I felt that was That's very evident so I that's why I had seven [SPEAKER_00]: I think that the reason I probably disagreed with you and I don't know if I said this in writing's part two is that we could split a lot of these men into two different versions of themselves.

[SPEAKER_01]: Dean and Zeta, I didn't. [SPEAKER_00]: Okay, Dean in high school versus Dean in season four, very similar, but also different. [SPEAKER_01]: We saw him very consistently. [SPEAKER_01]: We never got a break from him. [SPEAKER_00]: That's true. [SPEAKER_00]: We definitely also separate Logan in the revival versus Logan in season five versus Logan in season six and you kind of did like in that conversation, but you're like, you [SPEAKER_00]: everything's different, nothing's changed.

[SPEAKER_01]: I'm very interested, though, to hear yours for lower-light relationships. [SPEAKER_01]: So with this one, there are five, and I would like you to start from the bottom again. [SPEAKER_00]: At the bottom for me, against my 12-year-old heart, I think it's Max Medina. [SPEAKER_00]: And I really, really enjoy him.

[SPEAKER_00]: I was torn between him and Alex. [SPEAKER_00]: And it sucks because with Alex, we didn't really get to see enough of their relationship to see how they would have been super compatible for each other. [SPEAKER_01]: They would have been. [SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, probably. [SPEAKER_00]: But I don't love Alex.

[SPEAKER_01]: We really did love Alex. [SPEAKER_01]: Era. [SPEAKER_00]: So I think I put number five, Max, and number four, Alex. [SPEAKER_01]: Okay, number three, number three, number three. [SPEAKER_00]: Okay, number two, Jason, number one, Luke. [SPEAKER_01]: Okay, different than what you put. [SPEAKER_01]: You put Alex at the bottom in 2020.

[SPEAKER_01]: Which makes sense because we hadn't gone through our Alex area. [SPEAKER_01]: There was a time on the podcast, we were so pro-Alex that everyone was like, cancel these girls. [SPEAKER_01]: Get them off the show, new hosts, stop talking about Alex. [SPEAKER_01]: We're place them. [SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, honestly he feels like he's in his own category of like, what if because he really was perfect for he was Luke in a different font.

[SPEAKER_01]: he was he was Billy Burke Luke really is what he was it's true and he had kids and like ultimately maybe that's where they got inspired to bring Luke some kids but ultimately we loved Alex but he was at the bottom next was Chris [SPEAKER_01]: Okay, and what was interesting about this is like you said that the reason why you were putting it him so low was because he never challenged her and there was no growth in their relationship.

[SPEAKER_01]: It was just kind of like back and forth sinking. [SPEAKER_01]: But what I didn't understand was you were arguing for him while arguing against him. [SPEAKER_01]: Because on season seven, because we were kind of talking about his readiness to be in a relationship and then it's season seven the first half of season seven He is the one that is so ready for our relationship and she is not and the fault of their relationship in season seven was more on lower lie than it was on Chris and listening back to that it was like, do you still think that you think that Chris was ready for a relationship at the beginning of season seven?

[SPEAKER_00]: Oh, he wasn't [SPEAKER_00]: Okay, he wasn't. [SPEAKER_00]: I think that he, well, I think he, he thought he was. [SPEAKER_00]: He thought he was, he thought he was, but I think he thought he was for sure. [SPEAKER_00]: And it's interesting because we talked about this in our season 7 recap.

[SPEAKER_00]: I'm vaguely remembering that like he gets so angry with her about Luke and it's like my guy. [SPEAKER_00]: She's actually telling you like she wants to be with you. [SPEAKER_00]: Yes, of course she wants to be with Luke deep down in her soul, but she has accepted that their relationship is over.

[SPEAKER_00]: And she's trying to be with you is trying so hard to be with you and you keep insisting that she doesn't and I don't know how to help you and that is where we realize the Chris isn't actually ready for this nor is he ever going to be because he's not going to be a good partner at least for Lorelie absolutely so listening to you listening to that back and hearing you say that like the reason their relationship didn't work out with Lorelie I'm like ultimately like kind of because you wanted to kind of actually be with another man but like the way that you were explaining it I was like [SPEAKER_01]: No, Tara what?

[SPEAKER_01]: Tara no, it's tough. [SPEAKER_01]: But I was like, it was one of those moments when I was like, I'd really hope I know her as well as I do because this is not this stuff. [SPEAKER_00]: This is a different set of putting Christopher lower, but what the reason that I put Christopher number three here today is because we did acknowledge and really recognize throughout our rewatch of this series, the Christopher and Lorelai, specifically Lauren and David Seclin, have incredible chemistry.

[SPEAKER_00]: They have incredible chemistry that you're just like, oh, you're the man I want to want her to want. [SPEAKER_00]: But like, it's just not gonna happen. [SPEAKER_01]: Because we said if he was different, they would be perfect together. [SPEAKER_00]: But if he wasn't different, if he was different, if he was a different guy, he'd be perfect.

[SPEAKER_00]: That's when you know which one you know, just be a different man, and you will be right for me Oh, that's so true, but the reason that I ranked Jason higher than Christopher here today is because I do think at the end of the day They are very similar in nature. [SPEAKER_00]: They match her energy when it comes to her banter I think Jason challenges her a little bit more.

[SPEAKER_00]: They have a familiar history between their families and their parents [SPEAKER_00]: Christopher, I think like has a little bit of an edge because he is worries father, but I don't think that's necessarily a reason to be with somebody. [SPEAKER_00]: No, but she was different unless he was a completely different man.

[SPEAKER_00]: No, but I think that [SPEAKER_00]: Just upon rewatch I rooted for Jason a little bit more. [SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, and had Luke not been her soulmate then absolutely I felt this your ranking today was my ranking was Max Alex Chris Jason and Luke and do you so feel that way today? [SPEAKER_01]: I still feel that way I Especially with Jason because like we talked about how right he was for her and how good of an obstacle he was [SPEAKER_01]: to get to Luke because you're like, oh, but we did also talk about like this was where we originated the idea that if Chris eyegman was more of like a traditionally attractive man, not to say he's not Chris.

[SPEAKER_01]: Beautiful man. [SPEAKER_01]: We love Chris. [SPEAKER_01]: We're listening. [SPEAKER_01]: We think you're we love what you're doing. [SPEAKER_01]: We love what you were doing back in the 2000s. [SPEAKER_01]: But just like in the sense like the person that I always give is the O James that like, but I think at the time we were talking about Chris Evans, [SPEAKER_01]: Objectively high that it would if we feel like more people would like Jason simply because his character was so wonderful like Uncertain phenomenal match for her Um now I was like, oh, you know, it would be so great.

[SPEAKER_01]: It's Jason would be Tom Bateman who plays Adam Carlson in the love hypothesis because I'm like Cute man cute man just I'm just casting so many different Jason's to just dream cast you know and it feels quite it always feels mean to say it [SPEAKER_01]: to feel that way about Chris Eggman, but very nice man, nothing wrong with Jason, but I just feel like, you know, you know what I mean actually, can I tell you no one in the show is really other than Milo or I feel like if Milo played Milo today played Jason, you know what I mean?

[SPEAKER_01]: Like I just feel like objectively attractive and Jared Paddlecki too, you know what I mean? [SPEAKER_01]: And okay, what about I'm listening to a great [SPEAKER_01]: I know, I was about to say that you wouldn't let it out of my mouth. [SPEAKER_01]: I know. [SPEAKER_01]: A lot. [SPEAKER_01]: And Matt to agree if Matt to agree got a stylist and stopped wearing skinny jeans, I'm going to say it.

[SPEAKER_01]: I'm going to say it right here. [SPEAKER_01]: Someone had to, someone had to, let's give him a straight leg. [SPEAKER_01]: I'm not even going to ask for a wide leg, just a straight leg. [SPEAKER_01]: You know? [SPEAKER_01]: Just get someone on the phone. [SPEAKER_01]: Just ask for too much.

[SPEAKER_01]: I risked to be different man, but the same, and I mean, that's a great, and you guys, you can't, you can't say you disagree with me. [SPEAKER_01]: Like it just would be, it just would work so much better for him. [SPEAKER_01]: Let's bring him into the 2020s and put him in a straight leg.

[SPEAKER_00]: Thank you for speaking your truth. [SPEAKER_00]: I know. [SPEAKER_01]: I know. [SPEAKER_01]: We know I had to have at least one weird truth in this episode. [SPEAKER_00]: I love it. [SPEAKER_00]: Alright, kicking it back to episodes. [SPEAKER_00]: We thought it would be really fun instead of just like listening our faves and our least faves to build a list kind of akin to last year's episode of [SPEAKER_00]: build a skip list, like episodes, 10 episodes of Gilmore Rolls, though we think her skips.

[SPEAKER_00]: And the thing is that honestly it really should just be like 10 episodes from season 7. [SPEAKER_01]: Well, I tried to be a little bit generous with it, but because the episodes that I left in season seven as not skippable, I would watch these other episodes instead of them, so that wasn't fair.

[SPEAKER_01]: Do you know what I mean? [SPEAKER_01]: Like sure. [SPEAKER_01]: I would actually skip all of season seven before I would skip some of these episodes. [SPEAKER_00]: Before it would skip like almost any of these episodes. [SPEAKER_01]: Before actually all of them. [SPEAKER_01]: I would watch concert interrupt us 22 times.

[SPEAKER_01]: Me too. [SPEAKER_01]: That meant I could skip all of season 7. [SPEAKER_01]: So I tried to be a little generous with it and not less too many. [SPEAKER_01]: I still listen a lot. [SPEAKER_00]: Okay. [SPEAKER_00]: I have a feeling it's going to be like Haley's skip list, Tara's skip list.

[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, I actually think we'll have very similar skin blists. [SPEAKER_00]: We might, we might. [SPEAKER_00]: I do want to read to you what your faith, what your least faith episodes were from each season from rankings and revisited. [SPEAKER_00]: Do it. [SPEAKER_00]: Rankings and recaps.

[SPEAKER_00]: It keeps saying revisited, but yeah, I mean the recaps. [SPEAKER_00]: You mean gillies? [SPEAKER_00]: So revisited recaps. [SPEAKER_00]: Yes, exactly. [SPEAKER_01]: Because this is the revisited in a frankings. [SPEAKER_00]: Famously, yes, it is the revisited in frankings. [SPEAKER_00]: Um, okay.

[SPEAKER_00]: So what season one I kind of already said this, but you said that concert interrupters and cinnamon's wake were your least favorite episodes and I said kill me now. [SPEAKER_00]: Okay. [SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, but then then in October of that same year, you said concert interrupters least favorably firmly your least favorite episode of season one.

[SPEAKER_00]: Do you still? [SPEAKER_00]: Yeah. [SPEAKER_01]: Yeah. [SPEAKER_01]: So sorry. [SPEAKER_00]: Is that going on in your skip list? [SPEAKER_00]: I will tell you when I when we get to skip list. [SPEAKER_01]: Do you want to run through and then I will give you my skip list? [SPEAKER_01]: Did you build ten of those to skip?

[SPEAKER_01]: Technically. [SPEAKER_00]: Technically. [SPEAKER_00]: Okay. [SPEAKER_00]: I'm very curious about that. [SPEAKER_00]: But you'll understand. [SPEAKER_00]: All right, then you said kill me now, which I agreed with, and then you said love and war and snow. [SPEAKER_00]: I still said it was boring.

[SPEAKER_00]: I didn't like the lane and worry friendship conflict, and that's when you said you liked cinnamon's fake a lot. [SPEAKER_01]: Okay, and I tell you, I love [SPEAKER_01]: bits of love and warrants now. [SPEAKER_01]: Like I love the of course. [SPEAKER_01]: I love revisiting. [SPEAKER_01]: I love like the revisiting of the photo albums kind of getting a little bit of their history there and then when we get to the town and the way I walk into the snow and the war reenactors being introduced.

[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, the first town meeting, but There's parts of that episode that I'm kind of like like the maximum. [SPEAKER_01]: Do you know what all I could take really good? [SPEAKER_01]: But I'm not skipping it. [SPEAKER_01]: It's not a mischievous. [SPEAKER_00]: I don't think it's on the skip list either.

[SPEAKER_00]: Um, I, if I was doing this in October of 2022 for season one recap, I would have put the deer hunters and PSILA and Paris is burning is on the skip list. [SPEAKER_01]: you did not like Paris's burning. [SPEAKER_00]: I did not like that episode at all. [SPEAKER_00]: I think I'm putting it on my skip list, but I don't know.

[SPEAKER_00]: Again, I put all of season seven on my skip list before I know Paris is burning there, but anyway, that's a bold statement. [SPEAKER_00]: But Paris is burning number one episode that I was like, [SPEAKER_00]: No, you absolutely did not like that one. [SPEAKER_00]: Was Paris's burning. [SPEAKER_00]: And I realized it while I was watching it, I said, with Brett, I said, we both at the end of that episode, Brecos, that was a rough one, I said, yeah, I was.

[SPEAKER_00]: But with PSILA, I also like parts of it, obviously, because one to three viewers kicks off the episode is one of our favorite things to do, one of our favorite games to play. [SPEAKER_00]: But the episode is a whole just didn't sit well with me. [SPEAKER_00]: Moving on to season two, you said that your least fav episodes in rankings was runaway little boy.

[SPEAKER_00]: That was all you said because of Dean. [SPEAKER_00]: And then upon revisiting, you still agreed. [SPEAKER_00]: And you said it should have been lower lie. [SPEAKER_01]: and secrets and loans. [SPEAKER_01]: Maybe I didn't understand what secrets and loans was yet. [SPEAKER_01]: I don't, I think I had to marinate on that one.

[SPEAKER_01]: I really had to understand deeply in my soul what that really meant. [SPEAKER_01]: What a no-possure's fight because I put it on the list too. [SPEAKER_01]: I said, was I high? [SPEAKER_00]: Was I high? [SPEAKER_00]: Maybe we didn't like it, but like upon when we just said didn't, but it just doesn't go anywhere.

[SPEAKER_01]: It doesn't, but like by the rewatch club, we loved that about it. [SPEAKER_01]: It was like such a monumental episode in terms of like how we approached the rest [SPEAKER_00]: Now, I said in rankings that the road trip to Harvard, it should have been more like, and presenting more like, a more warm amongst my least faves.

[SPEAKER_00]: Specifically, I said, I always skip the road trip to Harvard. [SPEAKER_01]: And I changed my mind on that. [SPEAKER_01]: I changed my two of you. [SPEAKER_00]: I want to publicly apologize for saying that the road trip to Harvard was a skip episode. [SPEAKER_00]: Thank you. [SPEAKER_00]: I publicly apologize.

[SPEAKER_01]: And we publicly can forgive you. [SPEAKER_01]: Thank you. [SPEAKER_01]: We, all of us, I speak on behalf of everyone. [SPEAKER_00]: No, I didn't feel that way. [SPEAKER_00]: at the, by the end of season two, I was like, I changed my tune a little bit. [SPEAKER_00]: It's, it's not in my least faves anymore.

[SPEAKER_00]: In my least faves were, it should have been Laura Lies saved the CD drop, because I liked that. [SPEAKER_00]: And presenting Laura like a more N secrets and loads. [SPEAKER_00]: And that's why I was really upset with myself because yeah, it's the lowest grade episode. [SPEAKER_00]: And I'm going to say something very bold.

[SPEAKER_00]: And I think very true. [SPEAKER_00]: I think season two is a no skip season. [SPEAKER_00]: I would do it, it's true. [SPEAKER_00]: I think so. [SPEAKER_00]: I think so. [SPEAKER_00]: I think so. [SPEAKER_00]: It was our season saying. [SPEAKER_00]: Great. [SPEAKER_00]: Okay. [SPEAKER_00]: Season three.

[SPEAKER_00]: I said that my least faves and you're in the right case. [SPEAKER_00]: You're similar in the reigns episode. [SPEAKER_00]: We're here comes the sun, keg. [SPEAKER_00]: Like basically keg max on, but like I never watch it with the exception of those restraints Pinocchio. [SPEAKER_00]: But keg max here comes the sun.

[SPEAKER_00]: You felt the same way. [SPEAKER_00]: You also said I solemnly swear. [SPEAKER_00]: Yeah. [SPEAKER_00]: Because you didn't like the francy drama. [SPEAKER_00]: And I was like, yeah. [SPEAKER_00]: And then, um, I said that I anticipated not liking application anxiety, which we also felt was kind of mid by the by the recap in 2023 and I also said eight o'clock at the oasis, which I'm shocked by because I watched it the other day with Brett loved it.

[SPEAKER_01]: I loved it, thought it was great, it was great fall-up, but you were like, I was on drugs then, please don't take my opinion into consideration. [SPEAKER_01]: No, we just had a different appreciation for it. [SPEAKER_01]: We, we have looked at it very differently over the years, and now, just standing out there in his sweater, getting soaked because of a page went wrong.

[SPEAKER_00]: So, we also had a deeper appreciation for here comes the sun after rewatching. [SPEAKER_00]: because, or least I did, I said that I thought the parts of it that took place in SARS hollow were great. [SPEAKER_00]: That's, that's because I'm pretty if I fail my finals. [SPEAKER_00]: And that's where life finds out that Rory is valedictorian, and I saw it at the end of that episode.

[SPEAKER_00]: And, miscellaneous, actually, a really well-written episode and miscellaneous. [SPEAKER_00]: It's also a very well-written episode, if you think about the fact that they were trying to deliver us a back door pilot. [SPEAKER_00]: But like I do think that the episode itself is well done, I just didn't like it.

[SPEAKER_01]: I feel like that is kind of what's hard about here comes the sun because the star's hollow parts of it are fantastic. [SPEAKER_01]: The star's hollow parts of it are so good. [SPEAKER_01]: I don't know, I give you can leave the California parts of it behind easily. [SPEAKER_01]: Like you can say it's all written, but like did that get picked up?

[SPEAKER_01]: It didn't. [SPEAKER_01]: It didn't. [SPEAKER_01]: Speak for itself. [SPEAKER_00]: But the star's hollow part of that, so good. [SPEAKER_00]: season four least faves in rankings you said chicken or beef and die jerk. [SPEAKER_00]: Okay, and you sort of said the same thing when we did our season four recap, but then you took chicken or beef off the list because you really like you were just thinking about the end of it and you were just thinking about like the Dean part of it, but then you also really liked when all the guys came in.

[SPEAKER_00]: I love like the best of the episode. [SPEAKER_00]: Oh yeah. [SPEAKER_00]: We both kept die jerk. [SPEAKER_00]: I also said in rankings. [SPEAKER_00]: I said probably most of it [SPEAKER_00]: Oh, we're saying, my god, but I think by the end of it, we agreed that the bottom two episodes of that season were die-jerk and worries half of after-boom, because lower-rise was interesting, but hers was not.

[SPEAKER_01]: Okay, yes, that is really the problem with season four, is at the end of it, where a storyline gets a little bit mixed up and then they try to land it with Dean a little bit, but her Yale storyline at the end is kind of confusing in [SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, why it's the way that it is, but for the most part, it's still, it's still worth watching.

[SPEAKER_01]: But yeah, I would say that's pretty true. [SPEAKER_01]: I don't, I still don't think if there's anything to skip. [SPEAKER_01]: I wouldn't skip any of those episodes. [SPEAKER_00]: Um, for season five, at least favorite episodes, we anticipated it being Pippi Virgin. [SPEAKER_01]: We, and we loved that episode.

[SPEAKER_00]: And we said that in the recap, we were like, loving it and we ended up not liking to pick a new and Taylor too as much, but I think that at the end of the day, for me, how many cropox to Cape Cod is the worst. [SPEAKER_00]: That's the story of that season. [SPEAKER_00]: That's the Scott's talks of this.

[SPEAKER_00]: that is the Scott's thoughts of this. [SPEAKER_01]: It's it's not it's not at the level of Scott's thoughts to get me wrong. [SPEAKER_01]: That episode is scary to watch. [SPEAKER_01]: That's a that's scary episode. [SPEAKER_00]: If you guys don't watch the office, Scott's thoughts is just look it up.

[SPEAKER_00]: I don't watch the office. [SPEAKER_00]: You haven't understood a lot of this bug. [SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, it's actually the such a, but yeah, go revisit Scott's thoughts, but that's kind of this episode. [SPEAKER_01]: I still like aspects of it, but yeah, if you want to feel comfy cozy, it's not this one.

[SPEAKER_00]: I agree. [SPEAKER_00]: It's not agree. [SPEAKER_00]: Season six leastfaves. [SPEAKER_00]: You said this is a no-skip season, but if I had to choose one, it would be the real Polynga. [SPEAKER_00]: interesting. [SPEAKER_00]: You did include that when we did the recap, but not on the top of your list.

[SPEAKER_00]: Top of the list was new and improved Lorelei and fightface. [SPEAKER_01]: Interesting. [SPEAKER_01]: My skin muscles going to be very interesting, too. [SPEAKER_00]: Um, I, in rankings in 2022, said fight face always a godmother never got and you said I love that episode and then I In ranking your thoughts.

[SPEAKER_00]: Yes. [SPEAKER_00]: Okay, and then in a vineyard Valentine you said I love that episode and then I love it I Double down and fight face always a godmother and vineyard Valentine. [SPEAKER_00]: We're also the ones that I said in the season six recap. [SPEAKER_00]: Please personally [SPEAKER_00]: And then in season seven, you said, I really hate Santa Secret stuff.

[SPEAKER_00]: It is one of the worst episodes of the entire series. [SPEAKER_00]: Boralai, Laura Lai, I hate when she sings, which is controversial. [SPEAKER_00]: It's just like writing a bike. [SPEAKER_00]: And hey, Belmese, as a whole, I think, is me. [SPEAKER_01]: Me? [SPEAKER_01]: You said that in Rankings.

[SPEAKER_00]: I said, pretty much all of it, French twist specifically, yeah, yes, yes, yes, yeah, it's fair, that's true. [SPEAKER_00]: Okay, that's true. [SPEAKER_00]: So now that I've bestowed all of this information upon you, yes, can you tell me what your skip list is? [SPEAKER_00]: Technically, there's 10 on this list.

[SPEAKER_00]: Okay, neatly, there's 10. [SPEAKER_01]: So, I included concert interruptus, but I said if I was watching with Tara, I would not skip it. [SPEAKER_01]: If I was watching alone, I would skip it. [SPEAKER_01]: So skip people in my own room at my own house. [SPEAKER_01]: Sure. [SPEAKER_01]: Next, none from season two.

[SPEAKER_01]: We're not skipping anything from season two. [SPEAKER_01]: No, so in season three, I said kegmax here comes the sun. [SPEAKER_00]: What about I solemnly swear? [SPEAKER_01]: I left I saw only swear because I was only trying to make 10 and at the end of the day I was like I could I could do I saw only swear and I'm not going to skip it to save a season 7 episode for season 5 my only skip is how many crox wow okay you did put it there because you was I wanted I like that episode because of Logan but I also hate that episode yeah and like honestly I could take it off and I could put it back on I really just think it depends on the mood that I'm in but like ultimately I'm putting it on the

[SPEAKER_01]: Now, this is where season six and season seven get a little wonky as I was trying to make it 10 episodes because ultimately it's much more, but I was like episode one through four, but I'll watch three to like I was trying to make that one up as a graduate, yeah, graduate, it's great. [SPEAKER_01]: I love that one.

[SPEAKER_01]: but new and improved fight face and always a godmother, skip skip skip skip. [SPEAKER_01]: But I was like, this is one episode. [SPEAKER_01]: You can sit with that as one. [SPEAKER_01]: Okay. [SPEAKER_01]: I was like, it's one big thing. [SPEAKER_01]: It's one big skip because I'm skipping from a house is not a home to we've got magic to do.

[SPEAKER_01]: Or no. [SPEAKER_00]: Is that what episode five is? [SPEAKER_00]: We've got magic. [SPEAKER_00]: Yes. [SPEAKER_00]: So it's kind of like, I'm skipping over this whole group, even though I watched the ungradually. [SPEAKER_01]: You would watch the ungradually. [SPEAKER_01]: Let's skip. [SPEAKER_01]: Okay.

[SPEAKER_01]: I just was like, we're just skipping over all of it. [SPEAKER_01]: It's one. [SPEAKER_01]: and then it was very interesting because I also put the Brio Paul ink on this. [SPEAKER_00]: You did! [SPEAKER_01]: Okay, I just like, it makes, it's another, it's not anywhere near Cropugs or Scott's Tots.

[SPEAKER_01]: Like, I'll not end of it in that spectrum. [SPEAKER_01]: I just don't like the way it makes me feel. [SPEAKER_01]: I don't really like the, the conflict, I don't really like what we're doing there. [SPEAKER_01]: I don't like what we've done to Jess here. [SPEAKER_01]: Jess is doing fine.

[SPEAKER_01]: We don't need to upset it like this. [SPEAKER_01]: But I could, I could, I could put it back on easily. [SPEAKER_01]: This was kind of like a, [SPEAKER_01]: I'll skip this end, but I don't have to. [SPEAKER_00]: I will say it was like one of the lowest rankings we had in season six. [SPEAKER_00]: We gave it a six out of ten, the real Polynesia.

[SPEAKER_00]: And it's not a great episode. [SPEAKER_00]: It's not a great episode. [SPEAKER_00]: Fight face, we give a four out of ten. [SPEAKER_00]: Oh, wow. [SPEAKER_00]: We really didn't like the same with always God. [SPEAKER_01]: Mother, never, God. [SPEAKER_01]: We didn't like these against things.

[SPEAKER_01]: And so that's why I'm like, and that's why I kind of like put them as one. [SPEAKER_01]: Because like we're just skipping to episode five, totally. [SPEAKER_00]: But okay. [SPEAKER_01]: Reopalinga, it's give or take, but I'm not going to take it most of the time. [SPEAKER_01]: And then this has where it got a little complicated when we got to season seven because this was me trying to make sense of it because I was like, I'm not going to watch the beginning of this season.

[SPEAKER_01]: I'm admittedly we're skipping the whole season, but if we're really trying to, you know, give this what it's worth. [SPEAKER_01]: I skipped episode seven to episode 12 as one episode. [SPEAKER_01]: That's French twist episode seven to episode 12. [SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, that's French twist introducing more like print atarium, knit people nip, marry fistacuffs, sand to secrets have to whom it may concern.

[SPEAKER_01]: I would maybe take introducing more like print atarium and do that one because that's where Logan gets mad at Rory and says that she's just as privileged as he is, but you're not exactly paying rent either and then after that one is Gilmore Girls Only. [SPEAKER_01]: Okay. [SPEAKER_01]: So, what is this list even made of?

[SPEAKER_01]: Is it 10? [SPEAKER_01]: Is it, is it 20? [SPEAKER_01]: But that's kind of like my skips. [SPEAKER_00]: But if we're being honest with ourselves, season seven is one skip. [SPEAKER_00]: I mean, I'm completely, I'll maybe watch one voyage. [SPEAKER_00]: That is what I put. [SPEAKER_00]: So I was building this as we were talking, because I kind of wanted to wait until we went through, faves and least faves.

[SPEAKER_00]: So just as a refresher, Haley skip list is concert interruptives, keg max, here comes the sun, how many crooks to Cape Cod, season six episode one through four, the real Paulinka, season seven episode seven through episode 12, and go more goals only. [SPEAKER_00]: You're skipping all of those.

[SPEAKER_00]: So it's kind of like eight entities. [SPEAKER_00]: Yes. [SPEAKER_00]: For me, my skip list is Paris' Burning. [SPEAKER_00]: I solemnly swear. [SPEAKER_00]: Keg Max, here comes the sun. [SPEAKER_00]: How many Crow Pogs to Cape Cod? [SPEAKER_00]: Fight Face, always a God mother never a God.

[SPEAKER_01]: A vegan watch to the gift? [SPEAKER_01]: I'll watch new and improved. [SPEAKER_00]: I know. [SPEAKER_00]: I know. [SPEAKER_00]: You know, like it. [SPEAKER_01]: I didn't like it. [SPEAKER_01]: No, I had very mental. [SPEAKER_01]: That's my new down and forced you to watch others. [SPEAKER_00]: Always go back to your never God, a vineyard Valentine, the real Polynka.

[SPEAKER_00]: And then at number 10, I have all of season seven except for Bon Voyage. [SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, yeah, that's that's that's fair. [SPEAKER_00]: That's fair. [SPEAKER_01]: I think though like ultimately you would watch Paris's burning and I saw only swear for a different ending episode in season seven.

[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, so that's the thing is like I would watch keg max or here comes a sign if like we're just watching it but like do I want am I gonna pick it? [SPEAKER_01]: I'm not going to pick it. [SPEAKER_00]: I'm not gonna pick this up so to watch time for the grand finale. [SPEAKER_01]: time for the grand finale.

[SPEAKER_01]: I'm so nervous about this because I actually have no idea if this is even right. [SPEAKER_01]: Okay, can I tell you what's interesting about that as well? [SPEAKER_01]: It's my opinion. [SPEAKER_00]: Oh, yeah. [SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, one of the disciplines. [SPEAKER_01]: It can't be right. [SPEAKER_01]: It's my opinion.

[SPEAKER_01]: It can't be right [SPEAKER_00]: And if Ranking Hillmore Girls is wrong, I don't want to be right. [SPEAKER_00]: Yeah. [SPEAKER_01]: And I just feel right. [SPEAKER_01]: So it actually is wrong. [SPEAKER_01]: It is actually wrong. [SPEAKER_00]: Do you want to start with our personal rankings or our storytelling rankings?

[SPEAKER_01]: Um, which one's more surprising? [SPEAKER_01]: Let's start with personal because I think my storytelling is different. [SPEAKER_01]: Okay, personal at the top, five. [SPEAKER_01]: Okay, just I think even just the way that we were talking about five in this episode, if I were to put any other season first, I'd be lying to myself.

[SPEAKER_01]: Okay, and then season four, which feels big for my huge, and then I think the next one is maybe the most controversial, which people would be like, Oh, hey Libyan Haley, I'm going to put season six and season two as a tie. [SPEAKER_01]: Okay. [SPEAKER_01]: That's a tie for me, because for very different reasons, but I felt like I couldn't put one over the other.

[SPEAKER_01]: I felt like I was going to put season six overseas in two, but there's just so many pieces of it that I love. [SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, you love it. [SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, so I'm going to put it. [SPEAKER_00]: I'm going to put season six. [SPEAKER_00]: I got it. [SPEAKER_00]: I got it. [SPEAKER_01]: I'm going to put two and six at the same one, though.

[SPEAKER_01]: I feel like my people were like, that's agree. [SPEAKER_01]: Just what have you done here? [SPEAKER_01]: What is this? [SPEAKER_01]: And then season three, because I like the episodes better. [SPEAKER_01]: Season one revival. [SPEAKER_00]: Now something that we kind of talked about when we did our season 1 recap and then we continue to move through the series and we talked about this in the revival, but I don't know if we really like honed in on it.

[SPEAKER_00]: You really wanted to go back to season 1 by the time we were done watching the revival. [SPEAKER_00]: I did and it's interesting because in our personal season rankings from 2022 you said and it was very controversial. [SPEAKER_01]: For my personal, for your personal. [SPEAKER_00]: from bottom to top, oh no, it's one.

[SPEAKER_00]: One, two, a year in the life. [SPEAKER_01]: Seven, three, four, six, five. [SPEAKER_01]: Well, that's just crazy, isn't it? [SPEAKER_01]: And he's the thing. [SPEAKER_01]: He's the thing about that. [SPEAKER_01]: I don't regret her. [SPEAKER_01]: That is what she felt. [SPEAKER_01]: She had a feeling that was like her signature.

[SPEAKER_01]: That was exactly what she felt and what she needed to say. [SPEAKER_01]: And I'm proud of her for being that brave to actually admit that I'm out loud. [SPEAKER_01]: Yeah. [SPEAKER_01]: But she didn't think it was something brave to say. [SPEAKER_01]: She thought it was just saying things out loud.

[SPEAKER_00]: She thought it was like, hey, and it was. [SPEAKER_00]: It was really saying things out loud. [SPEAKER_00]: But here's what I will say. [SPEAKER_00]: It's by the time we did the season four recap, you thought you were on drugs in ranked games because of how much you changed your mind. [SPEAKER_01]: No, she was actually she was not on drugs and she wasn't her problem.

[SPEAKER_00]: Maybe that was the issue, but to reiterate because I know I've read that bottom to top for everybody who's minds were like melting because they're like what the fuck does that mean? [SPEAKER_00]: Blood or numbers? [SPEAKER_00]: Haley's rankings when we did it back in 2022 of seasons from top to bottom, personal season five for personal season five season six, then season four, [SPEAKER_00]: three, seven, a year in the life, two, one.

[SPEAKER_00]: Oh baby, wild work. [SPEAKER_00]: By the time we got the season for recap, you changed it drastically. [SPEAKER_00]: And it went season five, season four, season two, season six, season three, season one, a year in the life, seven. [SPEAKER_00]: And that's basically what you just put I had now that I just put I couldn't really put season two and six on the ceiling.

[SPEAKER_00]: But being closer to it, you had it. [SPEAKER_00]: You had season two a little bit higher than season six. [SPEAKER_00]: Okay. [SPEAKER_00]: I think is that is true. [SPEAKER_00]: I had three watch six yet. [SPEAKER_01]: And I think that I approached this knowing how much I loved six and rankings like I knew.

[SPEAKER_01]: I remembered that. [SPEAKER_01]: I remember saying it was a no skip season mostly because every time it came up, Tara reminded me that I said that and we won't hold it against her, but we're going to hold it up to her and make it look at it. [SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, it's true. [SPEAKER_01]: But that's why like I was like, no, I really in my heart of hearts, I really do like watching season six.

[SPEAKER_01]: But I also really love [SPEAKER_00]: What was your personal? [SPEAKER_00]: So my personal from top to bottom was season two, of course, so he's my favorite. [SPEAKER_00]: Followed by season three, season one, season five, season four, six, a year in the life, seven. [SPEAKER_00]: And everyone was like, Tara, seven.

[SPEAKER_01]: Tara is more bright. [SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, I think I do find my taste to be a little more early seasons forward. [SPEAKER_00]: It always has been, it probably will be. [SPEAKER_00]: And we knew that. [SPEAKER_00]: We talked about that in rankings as well. [SPEAKER_00]: We knew that it was, I think what I said to you was that mine was more of an astrologic, Gilmore Girls.

[SPEAKER_00]: Yours was more of a modern Gilmore Girls taste. [SPEAKER_00]: Sure. [SPEAKER_01]: You know, it was more an astrologic, more traditional. [SPEAKER_00]: Traditional. [SPEAKER_00]: Yeah. [SPEAKER_00]: And today, if I was doing a personal ranking, it would change a little bit. [SPEAKER_00]: for moving to season two season two is at the top and I think I switch seasons one and three because I actually love season one and I did talk about this a lot in rankings and then in our season recaps I did I did change it up a little bit because even though I do think the storytelling of season one is a little all over the place because they're trying to find their footing.

[SPEAKER_00]: I still think it's brilliant I think the vibes have to be taken into account and so I do see I would do season two [SPEAKER_00]: and five might be on the same plane a little bit three five four six revival seven okay because I love season four as well. [SPEAKER_00]: I'm not reaching for those episodes as often as I'm reaching for like deep fried and yeah they should go more stonetai but of course [SPEAKER_01]: Of course.

[SPEAKER_01]: Of course. [SPEAKER_00]: Or wedding bell blues and Norma Miller and Pragnan. [SPEAKER_00]: I just love so many of those episodes, but season four is up there. [SPEAKER_00]: I would almost like group them together for three, four and five kind of like sit in a and a tight little nick a lot of different people.

[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, but I'm putting on an episode from season two first season one next and season three probably after that. [SPEAKER_01]: I think it's hard because if I did season three limited, which was just those three episodes, I think they'd be higher, but I don't know. [SPEAKER_01]: I get that.

[SPEAKER_01]: I don't know where I would put them. [SPEAKER_01]: I actually probably just put it above season three. [SPEAKER_00]: It's because season three and five has been talked about earlier in this episode, have that really strong trio of episodes that I just love so much. [SPEAKER_00]: So I put that a little bit in that same plane.

[SPEAKER_00]: It's hard. [SPEAKER_00]: Well, let's move on to storytelling rankings because I'm really curious how you feel. [SPEAKER_01]: I'm actually really worried about what my old one was. [SPEAKER_00]: Okay, do you want to tell me your only one first? [SPEAKER_00]: Okay, I'll tell you this one.

[SPEAKER_00]: And I think it's okay. [SPEAKER_00]: Maybe a little bit surprising for you. [SPEAKER_00]: Okay, are you a bottom top or top to bottom? [SPEAKER_01]: I'll go bottom to top because the bottom is not surprising at all. [SPEAKER_01]: But I'm interested to see if you're actually surprised or if I'm like, nah, she won't be surprised by this.

[SPEAKER_00]: Okay. [SPEAKER_01]: So, from a storytelling perspective, writing, story arcs, character arcs, the cohesiveness of a season, taking into account the quality of episodes and the story that they're telling. [SPEAKER_01]: Coming in at the bottom. [SPEAKER_00]: Bottom of the pyramid. [SPEAKER_00]: Season 7.

[SPEAKER_00]: Seven. [SPEAKER_00]: Yeah. [SPEAKER_01]: I want to do this abbeyly Miller style because like season 7, bottom of the pyramid. [SPEAKER_01]: Next would of course be the revival. [SPEAKER_01]: Just has to be separated. [SPEAKER_01]: The true series of Gilmore girls is season 1, 3, 6. [SPEAKER_01]: We open it that.

[SPEAKER_01]: Next is season three because episodically still feel very strongly that those are such strong episodes, but it's lost the arc of the season is really lost for me. [SPEAKER_01]: It's a little bit of a mess. [SPEAKER_01]: I then put season six because while I think the episodes are better in season three, I think arc of the season, I think season six is doing more for me personally.

[SPEAKER_01]: Okay, then season one. [SPEAKER_01]: Okay, because again, we're really establishing the show here, but the arc [SPEAKER_01]: Okay, then season four because I think it is a no-skip season. [SPEAKER_01]: I think that is excellent from top to bottom It's just that it was like really the surprise from rankings to now of what we felt for it But like just as a whole I really think that they nailed that season.

[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, and then season five [SPEAKER_00]: I had a feeling you were going to say that because I feel the exact same way and I very vehemently, if you listen to our writing sub-sode, I shocked you when I said that season five was at the top of my list and that I thought it was an overall better story arc and better season, stronger season even though season two is my favorite and I think they exist on the same plane and as I was listening to it, I was like, I know I felt that way then.

[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah. [SPEAKER_01]: I think I feel differently now and I think it's really because [SPEAKER_01]: It comes from the fact that season five does have a skipable episode and that really was the only thing that pulled me out of it Yeah, like I love the arc of five I love what it does for Roy and Laura lie from like the beginning to end.

[SPEAKER_01]: It's just so it's so different than what we were used to and we end up in a place That like we don't want to be in but I think needed to go to in terms of this relationship between these this mother and daughter But I think that there was a little bit of it that I was like, oh [SPEAKER_01]: it doesn't quite match too.

[SPEAKER_01]: And I think, yeah, that's the best storytelling. [SPEAKER_01]: And that's what's so devastating in terms of television right now is that we're canceling shows after first season that doesn't feel cohesive, that doesn't maybe feel like it was the most watch show at the moment because so many seasons just or so many shows, so many series get it right in season too.

[SPEAKER_01]: they just know where they're at. [SPEAKER_01]: They have been probably upgraded in their budget. [SPEAKER_01]: That's just a touch after a season one and they really can take what they wanted to do with season one, knowing that they have like a devoted audience to some degree and have really honed in on what the story is.

[SPEAKER_01]: They want to tell because like most shows that I love their season two is excellent. [SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, the office case in point. [SPEAKER_00]: The office. [SPEAKER_00]: Friends, I think season two is where they really hit their stride. [SPEAKER_00]: It happens. [SPEAKER_00]: The person's crack would not exist if it didn't have a strong season two because season one famously people were kind of like, what is this?

[SPEAKER_00]: What is this? [SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, I completely agree with you and my rankings are the same. [SPEAKER_00]: I would only switch season three and six. [SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, and I do think that our personal preference plays a little bit of a role in there. [SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, um, but that's okay.

[SPEAKER_00]: It doesn't matter. [SPEAKER_01]: It really is for me. [SPEAKER_01]: You can kind of switch them because I place them there for different reasons. [SPEAKER_01]: The episodes are better in season, but season three, but the arc is weird. [SPEAKER_01]: The arc is better in season six, but the episodes are weird.

[SPEAKER_00]: Yes, yes, I think the episodes are stronger in seed. [SPEAKER_00]: I think exactly what you said, like I would agree with what you said a couple of years ago when you're talking about this with our season six recap, which is that six is less messy with the better season arc, but season three is better season three is episodes of better episode episodically.

[SPEAKER_00]: Yes. [SPEAKER_01]: Um, they're more touching. [SPEAKER_01]: It's really what they are. [SPEAKER_00]: The reason that I rank season three higher on a storytelling level is because I think that we have to take into account the personality and charm of the town. [SPEAKER_00]: And I feel like that is lost in season six.

[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, because it is very focused on it's just a little bit for the romantic storyline really. [SPEAKER_00]: Yeah. [SPEAKER_00]: And the conflict between Rory and Laura Lyon. [SPEAKER_00]: So I think that the charm of the show itself is a little lost in season six. [SPEAKER_00]: That's why I didn't like that much.

[SPEAKER_00]: So that's why I would interchange those. [SPEAKER_00]: But for the most part on the whole, I would agree with you about everything else. [SPEAKER_00]: And yeah, I was really curious to see when you said, when you agreed with me, that season two was a no skip season. [SPEAKER_00]: I was like, [SPEAKER_00]: Are we about to?

[SPEAKER_00]: I know. [SPEAKER_00]: I do. [SPEAKER_01]: I think it's the thing is the thing is as I knew you weren't going to be surprised but I knew you were going to be a little bit surprised. [SPEAKER_01]: And I think that's why a lot of the shows that I'm watching lately that I'm not, if I don't love the first season, I'm still going to try and give the second season a shot, knowing how much I love a season two.

[SPEAKER_01]: Like, I mean, this isn't count, but I loved off-campus, but I'm very fascinated to watch season two. [SPEAKER_01]: Even though I know it's like the same with Bridger 10, where we're interchangeing the couples and we're getting a new couples perspective, I'm just excited to see what they do now that they have a huge budget because that show blew up and what they're able to achieve like with the season two to see what it does.

[SPEAKER_01]: Same with every year after, like the first season was kind of, [SPEAKER_01]: I don't really know what they were doing with that. [SPEAKER_01]: Interested to see what they do with the season two, just see, because I know that I love season two so much. [SPEAKER_01]: So, I'm kind of, if there was a show that I watched this year, then I'm like, I don't know.

[SPEAKER_01]: If you got a season two, I'm like, okay, let's see. [SPEAKER_01]: Let's see what you do. [SPEAKER_01]: Maybe I'll find a way to be nostalgic about season one, because I like where you're going now. [SPEAKER_01]: There you go. [SPEAKER_00]: I love it. [SPEAKER_00]: Well, this was so fun.

[SPEAKER_00]: I love reading. [SPEAKER_00]: I know. [SPEAKER_00]: It's scary. [SPEAKER_00]: It's scary. [SPEAKER_00]: Sorry. [SPEAKER_00]: I scared you. [SPEAKER_00]: Tara, it's herest scared me. [SPEAKER_00]: None of this is that you. [SPEAKER_01]: You said, I want to have to interrogate you. [SPEAKER_00]: I was trying to think of the most interesting approach to this episode.

[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah. [SPEAKER_00]: It's like, is interrogating you the way to go. [SPEAKER_00]: I wanted to play parts of this episode, but I actually thought it was just easier if we re-aired it for you guys earlier this this week last Thursday because Rage bait you perhaps Really because it is it really refreshed my memory on like oh my god, this is where we were at four and a half years ago, and yeah So if you guys haven't listened to it already We'll link the original episode in our show notes, but you can also go back just one episode click [SPEAKER_00]: one back and listen to us talk about it, even though we recapped a lot of it today, but it was so fun to reminisce on this video.

[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, I know. [SPEAKER_01]: And that's the thing, that's one of the reasons why we didn't do episode two, like rankings part two, is because this would have been a whole other hour and a half to talk about this, but also because like the things that we were ranking in the second part was kind of [SPEAKER_01]: all over the place we did what we did premieres in the first episode which we didn't today but we did finale's yeah we did letters that people wrote we did collaboration so like we ranked like Dan and Kenny um we talked about looks to the window which like we've been saying did we talk about looks through the window we talked about we're never in a fighting to do one five minutes yes and it's still is so good I kind of feel like we should pull that out and like talk about that on its own

[SPEAKER_01]: out to like a ranking perspective because there really are so many iconic looks at the window in this series. [SPEAKER_01]: But like again, a lot of it feels like rage bait. [SPEAKER_01]: Like a lot of, a lot of Gilmore Grolly Girls content felt like rage bait. [SPEAKER_01]: I talk about her like she's a different person.

[SPEAKER_01]: And I was just like, nope, that's just me, folks. [SPEAKER_00]: But that's my life. [SPEAKER_00]: And thanks for, thanks for, what is it? [SPEAKER_00]: Thanks for listening, thanks for... Um, thanks for, thanks for, thanks for joining me. [SPEAKER_00]: Uh, I hope, I hope you enjoyed it, because I know I did.

[SPEAKER_00]: Because I know I did. [SPEAKER_00]: I just know that that's what I'll slap. [SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, I just wrote the last part. [SPEAKER_01]: But ultimately, I've changed as a person. [SPEAKER_01]: I'm a different point in my life. [SPEAKER_01]: We're both at different points in our life. [SPEAKER_01]: And, um, we've grown.

[SPEAKER_00]: Character growth. [SPEAKER_01]: Character arc. [SPEAKER_01]: Character arc. [SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, if you will. [SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, very parallel. [SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, here on Gilmourdesire. [SPEAKER_00]: That's true. [SPEAKER_01]: Absolutely. [SPEAKER_00]: I loved it. [SPEAKER_00]: And I loved it.

[SPEAKER_00]: We, like you said, over the last couple of years have been able, we were much more attuned to each other's taste. [SPEAKER_00]: Yeah. [SPEAKER_00]: So we could kind of anticipate what we were going to say. [SPEAKER_00]: Whereas the first time it was like we were shocking each other with our opinions.

[SPEAKER_00]: Yes. [SPEAKER_00]: So we shocked each other with past opinions, but also a little bit with current [SPEAKER_00]: That's what I was most excited for. [SPEAKER_00]: It was to shock you with opinions of the past that you had. [SPEAKER_01]: No, and that's what I love so much about partings or partings.

[SPEAKER_01]: It's rankings because all of our apps are based on. [SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, but with rankings, it being such a highly listened to episode. [SPEAKER_01]: If felt like you were kind of like getting to know our taste and how we were going to take you on this journey and maybe all of our listens fall off after that episode they don't but like it's maybe it's like people like oh, I'm gonna turn around you turn I don't know if I want to be here, but [SPEAKER_01]: I hope that you have maybe grown with us.

[SPEAKER_01]: Let us know if your opinions have changed drastically from that first episode, whether you just recently binged the R show, or if you've been here since that first episode aired, if you have gone on this journey with us. [SPEAKER_01]: I feel like it's quite different if you haven't been on Gilmore revisited on our Patreon, which [SPEAKER_01]: you can still go back and listen to every single one of our recaps on our patreon if you want to join patreon.com slash Gilmore to say and kind of go on that journey with us and discover these tastes that we now have but I think that if you've been listening to the podcast just on its own you've kind of seen that happening especially if we do our recaps etc that you kind of have seen you've seen the growth you've seen the changes but the
