Johnny Mac shares five Halloween-themed stories: Sydney Sweeney revives her Euphoria character Cassie Howard’s controversial look to promote a Halloween costume for her brand centered on a $269 Date Night Satin Corset with a lace-up back and structured silhouette, plus dog ears, collar/leash, and matching bracelets. In Boise Beach, residents report rats eating porch pumpkins; a pest-control worker advises moving pumpkins indoors near windows, avoiding straw, and focusing on removing food sources rather than relying on remedies like cayenne pepper. He also reviews Halloween candy, praising Kinder Joy’s Stranger Things crossover egg and Hershey’s Cookies ’N’ Cream Fangs, while criticizing freeze-dried Skittles Pops Creepy Crunch and Goetze’s caramel apple caramel creams. Finally, he highlights Nike’s Halloween sneakers: Leatherface-themed ST Charge, Hellraiser-inspired Air Force 1 Low ’01, and a slimy green Jordan Triangle PE for Paolo Banchero.

Hi there, I'm Johnny Mac with five good news Halloween stories. Sydney Sweeney became Cassie Howard once again, although this time it wasn't for Euphoria. Despite being her Euphoria character, the actress brought back one of her character's most striking looks to launch a Halloween costume for her own brand, The centerpiece of the set is the date night satin corset.

It costs $ 269. We're told the design features a lace-up back and a structured silhouette. To complete the costume, Sidney Sweeney added brown dog ears, a collar with a leash, and bracelets in the same shade. The set recreates the peculiar costume that Cassie wears in one of the scenes from season three of Euphoria. The image has sparked controversy when it appeared in the series, and now Sidney Sweeney has turned it into one of her Halloween offerings. Meanwhile, good news if you are a rat. It's Halloween and there are pumpkins there for you to eat. They're apparently going nuts in Boise Beach. One of the locals said it's essentially a race between me and the rats. Who gets to the produce first? I've sat awake at night

just stressed about the issue. To know it's just being destroyed is really upsetting. It feels like the rats are invading your life. It's a bummer. One of her neighbors, Patty, is rethinking where to put the pumpkins. Not on the porch. You see they attract rats. She said, I won't be doing that this year. As you can see, we're doing fake Halloween decorations and fake pumpkins, which will probably attract fake rats. Patty says, I'm hoping we'll all make an effort by not feeding the rats. I can hire a pest control company to come and remediate, but I know a lot of my neighbors can't. Matt works for the local pest control. He says pumpkins give rats both food and moisture, so he recommends displaying them inside near a window.

He says you can still decorate. You can still show everybody cool artwork that kids did. People can still see them, but the rats can't get to them. As for putting straw on the porch, the rats will use that too. That's bedding material for their nests. Matt also talks about the old wives' tales, like putting cayenne pepper on the pumpkins.

He says there's a lot of wives' tales and what can be done. The biggest prevention is actually removing the source from the rats. All right, let's look at some more of this year's best and worst Halloween candy. Apparently one of the best is the Kinder Joy crossover with Stranger Things. It comes in the form of an egg.

The Italian brand, named after a German word, has a firm foot in American candy retail. Each package comes with one of eight miniature Stranger Things Funko figures, plus a small string to loop it on book bags and whatnot. You can scan a QR code on the sheet that comes with it to play with the figure. Other than that, it's the same kinder joy you know and love. Sweet cream topped with cocoa wafer bits. Nothing very Halloween-y about it except the whole Stranger Things thing. All right, one of the worst candies, apparently, is the Skittles Popped Creepy Crunch.

The flavors include ghastly lime, cursed apple, blood orange, beastly blackberry, and red raspberry. They didn't try very hard with the red one. Apparently, the issue is freeze-drying the candy. It adds granularity to the already granular nature of the sugar, whereas classic Skittles have a chewiness. One of the best candies, apparently, is the Hershey's Cookies and Cream Fangs. Those are exactly what you think, and your dentist is like, yeah, do more of those. I got to make a Christmas bonus here.

Keep putting chocolate fangs on your teeth. That's a good idea. One of the worst, apparently, is the Getze's Caramel Apple Caramel Creams. Started back in 1895. Do you know them, even if you've never had one? They're also known as bullseyes. They're little individually wrapped joys of chewy caramel belted around a creamy center. This year, there's a caramel apple iteration.

When you're told it doesn't matter how many bites you have, none of them are really good. And how about some more Halloween sneakers from Nike? Cade Cunningham has been leading the charge for the Nike ST Charge. See what he did there? This year, it's a leatherface-themed rendition of the ST Charge, with the villain from the Texas Chainsaw Massacre thoughtfully translated into sneaker form. Nike also has Hellraiser shoes, using the Air Force One Low 01 as the base, taking inspiration from Hellraiser's pinhead. A grid pattern of pins is placed across the upper, with red trimming each black leather panel. And we are told, looking like something straight out of Ghostbusters, Paulo Banchero's Jordan Triangle P.E. is coated

in a slimy green color palette. The pair of sneakers switches its green hues between the base layer and overlays. Inside, the insole features a slimy stylization of Banchero's name, one spelled out and another being consumed by a ghoulish figure. And those are your five good news Halloween stories for today.

Have a great day.
