[SPEAKER_02]: Welcome to Homemaker Shake Podcast where we are every single week for the last six years rescuing the art and homemaking from the daily grind, lots of lipstick, no denim jumpers. [SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, how much rescue we worked to. [SPEAKER_02]: I was just gonna say, do I get to get rescued?

[SPEAKER_02]: Cause I just saw the dust in the corners on my stairway as I came to the mic. [SPEAKER_01]: Gosh. [SPEAKER_01]: I told Angela Wright before I hit record. [SPEAKER_01]: I was like, can you just talk to Nick? [SPEAKER_01]: So I'm going to crack. [UNKNOWN]: Great. [SPEAKER_02]: Oh, my goodness.

[SPEAKER_02]: I don't know, I'm, you know, didn't, did I say it on the mic or on a phone call that I was just like feeling like, oh, I cut, and my groove back, you know, got a minute. [SPEAKER_02]: It has lots of big stuff. [SPEAKER_02]: OK, OK, no feeling that right now. [SPEAKER_02]: Why does it? [SPEAKER_02]: Why is it like a vapor?

[SPEAKER_02]: Why is it gone? [SPEAKER_02]: I'm not kidding. [SPEAKER_02]: I was walking. [SPEAKER_02]: I've set it on the show this summer and this fall. [SPEAKER_02]: The cobwebs in my house are out of control. [SPEAKER_02]: I'm not kidding. [SPEAKER_02]: I'm like a fairy with this swiffer stick. [SPEAKER_02]: Next day, t t t t t t t t t t t t t t t t t t t t t t t t t t t t t t t t t t t t t t t t t t t t t t t t t t t t t t t t t t t t t t t t t t t t t t t t t t t t t t t t t t t t t t t t t t t t t t t t t t t t t t t t t t t t t t t t t t t t t t t t t t t t t t t t t t t t t t t t t t t t t t t t t t t t t t t t t t t t t t t t t t t t t t t t t t t t t t t t t t t t t t t t t t t t t t t t t t t t t t t t t t t t t t t t t t t t t t t t t t t t

[SPEAKER_02]: And then I left for three or four days for the weekend and into the week and it did really just prove that I'm not crazy. [SPEAKER_02]: I am the only person knows how to wash towels and wash clothes and I just came back like, okay, I think I texted you the other day like, wow, just still feel like the gravel is crumbling beneath my feet.

[SPEAKER_02]: I just want to get it locked in for the weekend and the [SPEAKER_01]: So yeah, I told Stu, I used the analogy. [SPEAKER_01]: I was like, it's like running up hell in the mud. [SPEAKER_02]: You don't make it very far. [SPEAKER_02]: No, he falls down. [SPEAKER_02]: The face goes in the mud.

[SPEAKER_02]: Dirty. [SPEAKER_01]: And then, and then that's it. [SPEAKER_02]: And then that's it. [SPEAKER_01]: You just, you just learn how to do that better. [SPEAKER_01]: And better, I think, maybe or you, um, [SPEAKER_01]: You set different goals the goal isn't to get to the mountain anymore to the top of mountain because you know it's just it's never a goal that you're going to accomplish so if if the goal for example for us is homemaker is is hey I want to have a perfectly dialed in home.

[SPEAKER_01]: I fear that's the top of the mountain my friends. [SPEAKER_01]: Oh, I know it's the top of the mountain. [SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, but I just, it's, you know, it just shocks me how quickly it unravels so that you can just have this feeling of sweet. [SPEAKER_02]: I've got a menu. [SPEAKER_02]: There's meat falling.

[SPEAKER_02]: There's nobody's laundry on top of the washer and dryer. [SPEAKER_02]: The bathroom counter is accounted for. [SPEAKER_02]: And then 48 hours later, it's just You guys are like this. [SPEAKER_01]: No, I, I deep cleaned our. [SPEAKER_01]: Okay, let me dial back. [SPEAKER_01]: My kids went to a corn maze with my family.

[SPEAKER_01]: I had like a corn pit, you know, good old, a ton of no fun. [SPEAKER_01]: So Juliette comes back with her pockets and all her coat and her pants filled with corn. [SPEAKER_01]: And my sweet little child goes to shower to wipe the corn dust off of her, and she just strips her clothes off and corn goes fly it, including down the bathroom sink at which point a child cleaned out their braces with their water pick and spit their chunks of food into the sink with the water running the whole time because that's how you brush your teeth.

[SPEAKER_01]: So now I have a sink full of floating food chunks and corn kernels. [SPEAKER_01]: Okay, two hours later, stew and I have, we've had to take the pipes off, we get all the corn out, it's disgusting, okay? [SPEAKER_01]: And I was like, okay, the sink is now cleaned. [SPEAKER_01]: I'm going to clean the shower, clean the floor, fresh towel, so, you know, the whole lovely thing that we love to do.

[SPEAKER_01]: Yes. [SPEAKER_01]: And I did it. [SPEAKER_01]: And I took a step back, Angela, and it was blissful. [SPEAKER_01]: It was so beautiful in your pretty white towels in my beautiful white bathroom. [SPEAKER_01]: Yeah. [SPEAKER_01]: Yeah. [SPEAKER_01]: I even took a picture of out like I did and then my dog rolled in chicken poop and came and took a nap in the bathroom.

[SPEAKER_01]: And the floor was completely covered in chicken poop. [SPEAKER_00]: And [SPEAKER_00]: And that's the end of the story. [SPEAKER_00]: Shay, Gina fast. [SPEAKER_00]: I would have just gone and gotten a hotel room, like a big fat mic drop. [SPEAKER_01]: Hey, I'm trying. [SPEAKER_01]: I just want everyone to know.

[SPEAKER_01]: And I want you to feel seen if you also, I know you guys are trying too. [SPEAKER_01]: No, it's not always reflected. [SPEAKER_01]: It doesn't feel like it's always reflected. [SPEAKER_02]: No, I mean, you deserve some credit. [SPEAKER_02]: You deserve it to look nice and have a fine accidently pop-by.

[SPEAKER_02]: I know, you need to be freaking some credit. [SPEAKER_01]: Validation. [SPEAKER_02]: I do need some external validation. [SPEAKER_02]: Somebody needs to catch you on a good moment where they're like dang. [SPEAKER_02]: She is amazing. [SPEAKER_00]: Not like, is that chicken poop? [SPEAKER_00]: Chicken?

[SPEAKER_00]: It's... Is that chicken poop? [SPEAKER_01]: Yes, it is chicken poop. [SPEAKER_01]: Oh, um, it is chicken poop. [SPEAKER_01]: So, you know, I've said this before, but we are very much in the stage of life where I am envious, people with little babies because they're just, [SPEAKER_01]: So tiny, so lovely.

[SPEAKER_01]: Thank you and they say your name all cute. [SPEAKER_01]: Name them on your hand with their little chubby one and so darling. [SPEAKER_01]: And I love this stage too, but it is like chewing peanut butter. [SPEAKER_00]: It's like, woo, that, that's thick. [SPEAKER_00]: They can chunky. [SPEAKER_00]: Nah, it's gonna, hmm, it's gonna take me a minute.

[SPEAKER_00]: Okay, down. [SPEAKER_01]: Oh my god, that feels like, oh, yeah, oh, it's pretty wild, pretty wild, although I was doing the Matthew Angela and the amount of time that I'll make her she has been on the air, which is almost seven years, it'll be seven years and just a couple of months. [SPEAKER_00]: That again, and Stuart, I don't have any children at home.

[SPEAKER_00]: So, that's terrible. [SPEAKER_00]: Seven. [SPEAKER_00]: Oh, she's ten though the same age. [SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, okay. [SPEAKER_02]: No. [SPEAKER_02]: So simmer down now that that's that wild. [SPEAKER_02]: It's yeah, it's a little much. [SPEAKER_02]: I just, um, I, you know, talked on the show about like this idea that they you have two families, you know, so I've got two gone.

[SPEAKER_02]: One that's never here and so then I have the youngest three and now the youngest three and I are doing everything together. [SPEAKER_02]: like the first three and I did like camping. [SPEAKER_02]: I took him camping a few couple weeks ago. [SPEAKER_02]: We just went to Michigan to visit my grandma.

[SPEAKER_02]: We're tearing it up. [SPEAKER_02]: We're at the hotel. [SPEAKER_02]: We're swimming. [SPEAKER_02]: We're getting Uber Eats burritos like we're doing all these fun things to make memories. [SPEAKER_02]: And it's just so weird not to have the other ones with us. [SPEAKER_02]: And [SPEAKER_00]: But yeah, a lot's of fun.

[SPEAKER_00]: Hmm. [SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, so anyway, we're hanging on here. [SPEAKER_01]: We're hanging on here. [SPEAKER_01]: Maybe. [SPEAKER_02]: Maybe. [SPEAKER_02]: Maybe. [SPEAKER_02]: Maybe. [SPEAKER_02]: What is this airing? [SPEAKER_02]: Is this November now? [SPEAKER_02]: When this airs. [SPEAKER_02]: Yeah.

[SPEAKER_02]: On November 1st. [SPEAKER_02]: What are you singing? [SPEAKER_02]: On November 2nd. [SPEAKER_02]: Right? [SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, maybe whatever monday is. [SPEAKER_02]: I just spent all afternoon doing Halloween costumes for Saturday. [SPEAKER_02]: So it has to be the second. [SPEAKER_02]: Okay.

[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, we're set though boom. [SPEAKER_02]: I'm ahead of the game. [SPEAKER_02]: No, no, we did the thrift shop this morning. [SPEAKER_01]: Okay, not napkins and well Halloween lands on I swear on Saturday. [SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, and we always have a reformation party with our church on all Hallows Eve.

[SPEAKER_01]: And I'm like, it's like, well, what are we going to be for? [SPEAKER_01]: Oh, no, it's like, how about Martin Luther? [SPEAKER_00]: They didn't did that one year, Emily. [SPEAKER_00]: Here's the Brown Sheet. [SPEAKER_00]: Nobody knew Martin Luther was at the little community church. [SPEAKER_02]: Oh, it's hysterical.

[SPEAKER_02]: He came home. [SPEAKER_02]: He's like, he was outraged. [SPEAKER_02]: It's like, they have no idea. [SPEAKER_01]: Well, you know, I was talking to an Italian the other day and they were asking me if I went to church and I said, yes, and they were like, like, your Catholic and I was like, no, I'm Protestant and they're like your Mormon and I was like, no.

[SPEAKER_01]: And he said, we don't, we have like, we understand catholicis and then there's everybody else. [SPEAKER_01]: So he's like, when we think of non-catholics, they're just Mormons. [SPEAKER_01]: Really? [SPEAKER_01]: And I was like, yeah, that's interesting. [SPEAKER_00]: Yeah. [SPEAKER_01]: So I dropped the five solas on him and he didn't know what hit him.

[UNKNOWN]: You're funny. [UNKNOWN]: Yeah. [SPEAKER_01]: Oh, we thought it would be fun today, ladies, too. [SPEAKER_01]: So go through some of your questions. [SPEAKER_01]: We can't really figure out the Apple review thing. [SPEAKER_01]: I know they're there. [SPEAKER_01]: I'm afraid to dig too deep into these weird funky sites that are like, do you want to review the reviews?

[SPEAKER_01]: Cause... [SPEAKER_01]: because um so these are from Spotify and so if you want to leave us a comment a message a question go to Spotify watch the episode you can watch the episodes on Spotify you can also watch the episodes on YouTube we don't have time YouTube just we don't have comments on YouTube because we value internet is a wild place YouTube's kind of the wild west we trust you guys a little bit more on [SPEAKER_02]: on Spotify.

[SPEAKER_01]: Yes. [SPEAKER_01]: So if you have questions for us, please leave them on Spotify. [SPEAKER_01]: And I know we can't hit every comment, every question, every week. [SPEAKER_01]: But we're in a once or twice a season, we try to come through and talk about the things that are important to you.

[SPEAKER_01]: So we thought we would kind of do today. [SPEAKER_01]: Okay. [SPEAKER_01]: You start. [SPEAKER_01]: You too. [SPEAKER_01]: Okay. [SPEAKER_02]: Okay. [SPEAKER_02]: Let's do it. [SPEAKER_02]: Let's do a Hannah. [SPEAKER_02]: This is a couple of nights ago. [SPEAKER_02]: Okay. [SPEAKER_02]: And I like this.

[SPEAKER_02]: This will give us something to join. [SPEAKER_02]: High ladies. [SPEAKER_02]: You mentioned keeping your hands well manicured last episode. [SPEAKER_02]: And I'd love to hear your tips for keeping hands feminine and lovely. [SPEAKER_02]: Homemaking especially during the dry winter months makes my hands look like they belong to a man.

[SPEAKER_01]: Signed up the code for a do your show is that the hand model one, which one is that no, it's the she had man hands and she's like opening a lobster, but oh yeah, they shoot it whole areas. [SPEAKER_01]: They actually use a man man. [SPEAKER_02]: Yes, I remember that. [SPEAKER_02]: I look forward to your show every week.

[SPEAKER_02]: Thank you for all you do. [SPEAKER_02]: I mean, I have, I don't know, I don't know if man hands are the right words. [SPEAKER_02]: I have her redditarily wrinkly hands, they look just like my grandpa's, they look just like my moms. [SPEAKER_02]: They always have, like wrinkly wrinkly lots of knuckle action here, you know, bones, bones and wrinkles and now things.

[SPEAKER_02]: So now there's, they even more veins and like, gosh, [SPEAKER_02]: Is there like a fat hand injection? [SPEAKER_02]: I can get like forget filler in your cheekbones. [SPEAKER_02]: I don't want to look like that, but could you put some in my hands? [SPEAKER_02]: A little hyaluronic acid or something, just a flesh amount a little bit.

[SPEAKER_02]: I don't know. [SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, I think if you use your hands, it's going to look like you use your hands. [SPEAKER_01]: It is kind of sexy though. [SPEAKER_02]: Like hands are really like they show like your stuff. [SPEAKER_01]: You know what I think so and you know what I'll tell you my algorithm's pretty good and it's like, do you want to watch this 90 year old Italian woman put on her makeup and get dressed for the day and you know what she looks like she's 90.

[SPEAKER_01]: And she still looks good. [SPEAKER_01]: I think that's kind of the point that's not to make your hands will look like they never do anything because I'll I'll tell you I have a firm handshake. [SPEAKER_01]: And I get comments on it all the time. [SPEAKER_01]: And I say thanks. [SPEAKER_01]: I know how to milk a cow.

[SPEAKER_01]: Right? [SPEAKER_01]: My hands can do cool stuff. [SPEAKER_01]: I want when we be soft hands. [SPEAKER_02]: I shook a man's hand yesterday. [SPEAKER_02]: I had like an interview at the shop. [SPEAKER_02]: I shook the camera guys hand. [SPEAKER_02]: And it was very aggressive. [SPEAKER_02]: And I thought, [SPEAKER_02]: Like, I have a good handshake, right?

[SPEAKER_02]: What? [SPEAKER_02]: If I didn't. [SPEAKER_02]: What are you playing at? [SPEAKER_02]: I just wondered, like, if I didn't have a good handshake, this guy's breaking my hand. [SPEAKER_02]: I just thought, how, if you didn't, how is this received? [SPEAKER_02]: Like, whoa, buddy, like, it, [SPEAKER_02]: I don't know.

[SPEAKER_02]: I kind of met him back, you know, you try to like meet me. [SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, you meet. [SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, pressure. [SPEAKER_02]: You're right. [SPEAKER_02]: Exactly. [SPEAKER_02]: I'm going to meet you. [SPEAKER_02]: And I just thought, gosh, I had like the limp fish or just this little dainty like.

[SPEAKER_02]: I don't know, that was it just distracted me for a couple like a minute. [SPEAKER_02]: I am thinking about the handshakes, not thinking about the handshakes. [SPEAKER_02]: He's going to start asking you questions, you know, like, oh gosh, yeah, I just go. [SPEAKER_02]: Here's I just did this the other day because because of this interview, my nails are really short right now.

[SPEAKER_02]: I have actually, well, I'll go back to that. [SPEAKER_02]: We'll ping pong, tell each other what we do. [SPEAKER_02]: I'm mind we're looking pretty rough. [SPEAKER_02]: And I just did like an emergency olive oil and sugar and just ground, I just grinded in there and pushed back the cuticles and like just scrub the snout out of them.

[SPEAKER_02]: And I find that to be amazing like an instant manicure. [SPEAKER_00]: That was my little quick fix. [SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, I think if you don't have nails, then you need to make sure your nails are cleaned. [SPEAKER_01]: Like, I think that's just that feels well manicured. [SPEAKER_01]: And if you have clean, clip nails, however you like them, and then you do something like that, that puts you in a good place.

[SPEAKER_01]: As I've gotten older, I have... [SPEAKER_01]: very loved hands as well. [SPEAKER_01]: They're very veiny. [SPEAKER_01]: And at their 40 years old. [SPEAKER_01]: And I so I get my nails done. [SPEAKER_01]: That makes me feel really feminine, especially because my hands are filmed all the time.

[SPEAKER_01]: And they they look nice. [SPEAKER_01]: They I think they look a lot better on camera. [SPEAKER_01]: They look more feminine. [SPEAKER_01]: And also generally, as you get older, too, I think helps your hands to look a little. [SPEAKER_01]: But even if it's just a few tasteful rings, I think that can help you feel your hands are welcome.

[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, I almost always have, you know, obviously my bands, and then another one on the site. [SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, almost always. [SPEAKER_02]: Yeah. [SPEAKER_01]: Yeah. [SPEAKER_02]: Um, you know, my policy on like laundry on furniture, [SPEAKER_01]: Yeah. [SPEAKER_02]: I'm the same way with Chipped Nail Polish.

[SPEAKER_02]: I am not leaving the house with Chipped Nail Polish. [SPEAKER_02]: I honestly can't think of hardly anything that makes these maybe like really bad routes, but like this is something about Chipped Nail Polish. [SPEAKER_02]: For me, it was like totally unacceptable. [SPEAKER_02]: It is the laundry on the couch.

[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah. [SPEAKER_01]: That's why I started getting my nails done. [SPEAKER_01]: I would be happy to do them at home. [SPEAKER_01]: But they just like, listen, don't give me your recommendations. [SPEAKER_01]: Don't give me your recommendations. [SPEAKER_01]: They don't work. [SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, okay.

[SPEAKER_01]: I've tried them. [SPEAKER_01]: And then I see all these like home manicure kits, which my sister does some of, and she really loves them. [SPEAKER_01]: But they're not cheap. [SPEAKER_01]: And you've got to do them yourself. [SPEAKER_01]: And I'm like, listen, am I going to remember to order that?

[SPEAKER_01]: No, and then I'll be one nail short, and then I'll break it and I'll pop it off, and I'll be away from the house, and then I won't have it. [SPEAKER_01]: And then I'm going to have to order it to, and no. [SPEAKER_02]: Okay, now I do amuse stick on nails often because my favorite manicurist is over by my moms and that's like now we're in 40 from here.

[SPEAKER_02]: It's a whole day event for me to go get my nails done and it's really really really really really really hard for me to sit there, especially because they don't massage your hands at the end. [SPEAKER_02]: If I know like it gets feel good at the end [SPEAKER_01]: I'll sit there. [SPEAKER_01]: I'll sit.

[SPEAKER_01]: I'll sit. [SPEAKER_02]: But I, um, I wear M, M press. [SPEAKER_02]: You can get a minute target while I, uh, and if you, you have to clean your nail off. [SPEAKER_02]: You can have one ayoda of oil on your fingernails. [SPEAKER_02]: So I buff them a little bit, kind of scuff them up just a little.

[SPEAKER_02]: Then I use the rubbing alcohol pad that comes with it, and I just hold them down like, [SPEAKER_02]: 20 seconds each fingernail takes me six minutes to do manicure. [SPEAKER_02]: They last about 10 days. [SPEAKER_02]: They look really, really nice. [SPEAKER_00]: But yeah. [SPEAKER_01]: Yep.

[SPEAKER_01]: Okay. [SPEAKER_01]: There you go. [SPEAKER_01]: Sometimes making the switch to natural ingredients is a big sacrifice. [SPEAKER_01]: And sometimes it is a big upgrade. [SPEAKER_01]: What cute tennis shoes are you both wearing? [SPEAKER_01]: I've thought of getting the white tennis shoe, but I'm not sure what brand or even if they're on their way out.

[SPEAKER_01]: White tennis shoes, Janey, are never on their way out. [SPEAKER_01]: They're always in just white tennis shoes are like [SPEAKER_01]: into an abusive relationship with your shoes because you will love them and they will not love you back. [SPEAKER_01]: Are you rough on your shoes, Shay?

[SPEAKER_01]: I just wear, I think I wear them like a normal person. [SPEAKER_01]: And I bleach them and I scrub them and I soak them and I wash them and you know they're white. [SPEAKER_01]: And I live on a farm. [SPEAKER_01]: So yeah, I guess maybe a little. [SPEAKER_02]: Okay, I try to be really cautious.

[SPEAKER_02]: I don't wear like my fashion shoes. [SPEAKER_02]: Like now, like I have no white tennis shoes. [SPEAKER_02]: Walk to my car. [SPEAKER_02]: Okay, okay, okay, maybe. [SPEAKER_02]: All right, I have, [SPEAKER_02]: Oh, what are the Italian ones at Princess Kate? [SPEAKER_02]: Where's Spice?

[SPEAKER_02]: Bologas, Bologas. [SPEAKER_02]: Spice? [SPEAKER_02]: Oh, I can't throw over there. [SPEAKER_02]: Spice? [SPEAKER_02]: They're surprised you don't know. [SPEAKER_02]: They're like these pop, they're popular. [SPEAKER_02]: And I got them because they were platform, because I'll love to feel taller.

[SPEAKER_02]: Any chance I get? [SPEAKER_02]: So, okay. [SPEAKER_02]: What are they called? [SPEAKER_01]: Everybody's doing what white shoes I grew up with, that I think are still in. [SPEAKER_01]: Kids, kids. [SPEAKER_01]: I've got great white kids, baby. [SPEAKER_02]: Kids. [SPEAKER_02]: My, yes, my mom.

[SPEAKER_02]: I always had kids as a kid, and they make, they're just cute. [SPEAKER_02]: I think they're really cute. [SPEAKER_02]: Yeah. [SPEAKER_01]: mm-hmm and you can walk in them and you can put it off a little doctor shoals pad and there if you need a little bit more cash in or something. [SPEAKER_01]: Yeah.

[SPEAKER_01]: Workheads. [SPEAKER_02]: I have really cute Ralph Lauren ones their white leather. [SPEAKER_02]: They're kind of a take on like the popular like Gucci tennis shoe. [SPEAKER_02]: So they have they have like a navy blue and gold like athletic stripe on them. [SPEAKER_02]: They're really really really classy.

[SPEAKER_02]: The white leather makes me feel special. [SPEAKER_02]: I like a [SPEAKER_01]: I invested in white leather shoots one time. [SPEAKER_01]: I remember the Detroit mark was like the European walking shoe. [SPEAKER_01]: I can't remember the brand and they were not cheap. [SPEAKER_01]: And they had metal rivets where the shoelace came in.

[SPEAKER_01]: Okay. [SPEAKER_01]: And it left these like black marks under the shoelace. [SPEAKER_01]: Oh, no, on top of the shoelace. [SPEAKER_02]: Oh, yeah, I've had that happen before. [SPEAKER_02]: Oh, I think you meant like on the shoelace. [SPEAKER_02]: Like they made the shoelace gungee. [SPEAKER_01]: Well, it did the shoelace too, but then it did on top.

[SPEAKER_01]: And I was just like, I mean, it would not come off. [SPEAKER_01]: It would not come off. [SPEAKER_01]: It made me so mad. [SPEAKER_01]: I just stop from now on. [SPEAKER_01]: I'm not going to spend money like that on choose on like Wait tennis shoes because that's silly. [SPEAKER_01]: Anyway, yes, get you some journey.

[SPEAKER_01]: Let us know what you end up with. [SPEAKER_02]: Mm-hmm cute cute cute [SPEAKER_02]: Um, somebody's asking me and asking me if I have considered a military grade boots. [SPEAKER_02]: She said, I don't mean the standard standard issue, but try the better quality brands like Belleville, Garmont, and Rocky to name a few my husband and sonner in the military and they say some feel like you're wearing sneakers.

[SPEAKER_02]: uh, cool, just said visit weatherguard 360.com. [SPEAKER_02]: Okay. [SPEAKER_02]: Uh, this is in response to me asking for suggestions because I want to keep walking in the snow this year and I don't want to wear my big boots. [SPEAKER_02]: Uh-huh. [SPEAKER_00]: Hmm. [SPEAKER_01]: Okay.

[SPEAKER_01]: Here's one from Shop Girl 88. [SPEAKER_01]: Shop Girl. [SPEAKER_01]: That's from [SPEAKER_01]: Um, ladies. [SPEAKER_01]: I'm almost 38 and just had my first baby last year. [SPEAKER_01]: And I'm also feeling so unsure about the future. [SPEAKER_01]: You expressed it so well. [SPEAKER_01]: I cannot envision the next 20 years or what I even want is this a midlife crisis is this a post COVID thing that we're experiencing.

[SPEAKER_01]: It doesn't feel right to be feeling this way at the beginning of my motherhood journey. [SPEAKER_01]: Okay. [SPEAKER_01]: Well, how old is her baby? [SPEAKER_01]: Um, I guess one year. [SPEAKER_02]: Okay. [SPEAKER_02]: I was trying to find it. [SPEAKER_02]: I can't find that. [SPEAKER_02]: Okay.

[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah. [SPEAKER_01]: So the good news is that the next 20 years is somewhat set for you having a young baby. [SPEAKER_01]: Because you know they have to go to school or you're going to have to figure out something with their education, right? [SPEAKER_01]: You know they're going to have to learn how to use the toilet and take a driver's head and all these wonderful kind of milestones that go along with just growing up.

[SPEAKER_01]: And so I think casting a vision when you have young kids, obviously just involves a lot of them, right? [SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, that's how I told the baby. [SPEAKER_02]: I wish I could see the content my retention's like a nap. [SPEAKER_02]: How the baby was because she had last year. [SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, still settling in and are there going to be more and lots of fun things on the horizon too.

[SPEAKER_02]: So. [SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, very much so. [SPEAKER_02]: Yeah. [SPEAKER_02]: And you know, remember, like when you were experiencing the one of the things I enjoy most about being a mom is experiencing their Firsts, I don't mean like their first step. [SPEAKER_02]: I mean like, [SPEAKER_02]: Like the one night junior noticed his shadow for the first time, you know, and just got the giggles and couldn't stop laughing like like the world through their eyes, like things that you take for granted.

[SPEAKER_02]: I remember the first time my sister, she was four and, um, [SPEAKER_02]: She saw, we were at my grandparents' farm and we were writing in the back of the pickup truck. [SPEAKER_02]: And she saw us out the window, like in the bed. [SPEAKER_02]: We, us kids were in the bed. [SPEAKER_02]: And she just got the giggles, thought that was the funniest thing ever.

[SPEAKER_02]: You know, just what a kid gets to experience for the first time being the observer of that is so cool. [SPEAKER_02]: Uh-huh. [SPEAKER_02]: Yeah. [SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, I think that would kind of be my encouragement is cast a vision of some of those things that you want that to look like for your family.

[SPEAKER_01]: You know, we talked about getting cozy with the kids. [SPEAKER_01]: We did a whole episode on that just maybe two weeks ago. [SPEAKER_01]: So that might be a good one for you to go back and listen to, we'll shop girl because we talked about creating a home that has a particular feeling to it.

[SPEAKER_01]: And I think that's kind of what you're wanting to envision for the next 20 years when you have a kid. [SPEAKER_01]: You know, that kind of becomes your primary, uh, primary focus. [SPEAKER_01]: I guess. [SPEAKER_02]: All right, Petra says, hello, ladies. [SPEAKER_02]: I've been in Loyal this nurse and it's before your podcast.

[SPEAKER_02]: Started that fateful march. [SPEAKER_02]: I have been watching YouTube channels and loving every minute. [SPEAKER_02]: My hot take on fashion is that when I was young in the 80s, we dressed up to go out of the house. [SPEAKER_02]: We work you outfits and did our hair, we were big hoop earrings, plus the clouds of aquenette.

[SPEAKER_02]: I have always loved fashion and have continued to dress to go anywhere, even the grocery store. [SPEAKER_02]: Let's hope the PJs have had their day. [SPEAKER_02]: I saw this meme the other day and it was um what's this but James Bond? [SPEAKER_02]: Who's the most recent James Bond? [SPEAKER_02]: Blinking.

[SPEAKER_01]: I don't know but it [SPEAKER_02]: No, I know, but the most recent one. [SPEAKER_02]: Anyways, it was him and his talks. [SPEAKER_02]: This is you guys know what I'm talking about. [SPEAKER_02]: Blue hair. [SPEAKER_02]: Blue hair. [SPEAKER_02]: blonde hair blue eyes Daniel Craig Daniel Craig.

[SPEAKER_02]: Thank you so much. [SPEAKER_02]: I thought there was a new one since Daniel I wish no we're all waiting they haven't even started like they haven't even picked the new guy. [SPEAKER_02]: It's going to be years so we get another one. [SPEAKER_02]: It's so sad for somebody who like just waits for the next bond movie and they're going to ruin them.

[SPEAKER_02]: They're going to make him politically correct and they're going to ruin it. [SPEAKER_01]: I don't want to see woman bond. [SPEAKER_02]: I remember there was one in just alba. [SPEAKER_02]: There was one with wadala, um, let me get in steel. [SPEAKER_02]: Gosh, I'm all for the names today.

[SPEAKER_02]: Pierce Brosnan, that had her's bro. [SPEAKER_02]: What's her name? [SPEAKER_02]: The Chinese actress, I think, from like crouching tiger hidden dragon. [SPEAKER_02]: She was in with him and I was so bent out of shape. [SPEAKER_02]: I just was, I hated that one. [SPEAKER_02]: Okay, doesn't need somebody as big and bad as he is.

[SPEAKER_02]: Ah, don't be crazy. [SPEAKER_02]: No, please no female bond. [SPEAKER_02]: We've got like... [SPEAKER_02]: other characters got Charlie's angels. [SPEAKER_02]: Honestly, we have Tomb Raider. [SPEAKER_02]: What a Tomb Raider. [SPEAKER_02]: We don't need fun to be a woman. [SPEAKER_02]: Just calm the heck down.

[SPEAKER_02]: Why am I talking about this? [SPEAKER_02]: I saw this meme. [SPEAKER_02]: I saw this meme with him in a touch. [SPEAKER_02]: Just looking fine, you know? [SPEAKER_02]: And it was like, is that like, how I feel when I'm the only person at Walmart not in my pajamas? [SPEAKER_00]: Exactly.

[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, it's bad out there folks. [SPEAKER_01]: It's bad out there, but I'll tell you what. [SPEAKER_01]: I'd go to the grocery store and I saw a woman in her pajamas and she looked Taro. [SPEAKER_01]: I mean, she looked terrible. [SPEAKER_01]: But she had her grandmother in one hand and her grandfather in the other hand, and they each had a little basket in their outside hands, and she was walking them through the aisles and helping them pick out their stuff and he's like, the grandpa's like, well, which ice cream do I get?

[SPEAKER_01]: She's like, well, this is the one that you like. [SPEAKER_01]: It was really sweet and I, you know. [SPEAKER_01]: you got to just take the wins where you can get. [SPEAKER_02]: Oh, yes. [SPEAKER_02]: And I mean, obviously, not every trip to the store in your rotten clothing or your pajama, like sometimes you're single and you got the flu and you just got to go get some tea, you know, you know, come on.

[SPEAKER_01]: However, yeah, now do it for you. [SPEAKER_01]: I think you need to do it for you. [SPEAKER_01]: I think I think it's good. [SPEAKER_01]: Yeah. [SPEAKER_01]: Was there a question in there or no? [SPEAKER_01]: Was there a question? [SPEAKER_02]: I couldn't figure out how to find the questions.

[SPEAKER_02]: So I, you're doing the questions. [SPEAKER_02]: I'm just reading. [SPEAKER_01]: I just couldn't figure out to do that. [SPEAKER_01]: So. [SPEAKER_01]: Okay, here's a funny one, Angela. [SPEAKER_01]: Okay. [SPEAKER_01]: Hey, Shane Angela, greetings from Shenandoah Valley of Virginia. [SPEAKER_01]: I know this has nothing to do with the episode and she probably traveled after just having come back from Italy.

[SPEAKER_01]: But I've been thinking about this for a while. [SPEAKER_01]: Have you ever thought about submitting an audition video and trying to race on the amazing race together? [SPEAKER_01]: Wait, wait, wait, wait. [SPEAKER_01]: Wait. [SPEAKER_01]: Wait. [SPEAKER_01]: Wait. [SPEAKER_02]: Is that show still on?

[SPEAKER_02]: I don't know. [SPEAKER_02]: I might cry. [SPEAKER_02]: You guys, no, that's not funny. [SPEAKER_02]: Does she know that that's like my [SPEAKER_01]: Have you ever submitted an audition tape for it? [SPEAKER_02]: I did not submit an audition tape. [SPEAKER_02]: I filled out the initial paper work.

[SPEAKER_02]: OK. And I think what happened was then we moved here. [SPEAKER_02]: It was like, right, well, not that they called me. [SPEAKER_02]: But you know, but you guys, if that show is still on somebody get me on that show, please, I will not disappoint you. [SPEAKER_02]: will be the best contestant unless I have to let crawl in like the pyramids in like some really claustrophobic situation.

[SPEAKER_02]: Otherwise, I'm doing it all. [SPEAKER_02]: You know what I like about that show. [SPEAKER_01]: It wasn't this show. [SPEAKER_02]: Oh, Shay, it was like back in the day. [SPEAKER_02]: It was like 10 years ago That's why I'm so floored that she's mentioning it. [SPEAKER_02]: It was my favorite show.

[SPEAKER_02]: In fact, like when we're in like a situation around here Like in our family, I'll go, duh, duh, duh, duh, duh, duh, duh, duh, duh, duh, duh, duh, duh, duh, duh, duh, duh, duh, duh, duh, duh, duh, duh, duh, duh, duh, duh, duh, duh, duh, duh, duh, duh, duh, duh, duh, duh, duh, duh, duh, duh, duh, duh, duh, duh, duh, duh, duh, duh, duh, duh, duh, duh, duh, duh, duh, duh, duh, duh, duh, duh, duh, duh, duh, duh, duh, duh, duh, duh, duh, duh, duh, [SPEAKER_01]: It was funny that you thought.

[SPEAKER_02]: It wasn't like that. [SPEAKER_02]: It was, it was like, hey, find a needle in a haystack and, and hey, find your way to this town on a scooter. [SPEAKER_02]: And it was very, it was travel. [SPEAKER_02]: It was like hauling booty through an airport. [SPEAKER_02]: I loved. [SPEAKER_02]: I like lived for this show.

[SPEAKER_02]: And it was just my, my dream. [SPEAKER_02]: I think my dream contestant in offense, right, it would, at this point, would be eight in. [SPEAKER_02]: Uh-huh. [SPEAKER_01]: Because I think we crush it together. [SPEAKER_01]: We didn't kill each other. [SPEAKER_02]: Yeah. [SPEAKER_02]: But like, I knew the day you didn't want to take those scooters in Atlanta, I was like, she is not my amazing race contestant, that didn't for you, Shay.

[SPEAKER_02]: That took you off the list. [SPEAKER_01]: Okay. [SPEAKER_01]: Well, I stand by that decision. [SPEAKER_01]: I've heard enough more stories. [SPEAKER_01]: No, I don't think my nervous system could take something like that. [SPEAKER_01]: You know? [SPEAKER_01]: Like when when you're traveling, things don't go to plan.

[SPEAKER_01]: And in those moments, I am very good at like, I swallow it down. [SPEAKER_01]: Mm-hmm, okay, I swallow it down. [SPEAKER_01]: That jagged little pill. [SPEAKER_01]: What? [SPEAKER_01]: It's on. [SPEAKER_01]: I just googled it. [SPEAKER_01]: It's still on. [SPEAKER_02]: Okay, all right. [SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, you, well, you have to because you're, you have to.

[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah. [SPEAKER_01]: You have to, especially when you're the only one who's fix the language, or especially in the case of art trips, like when you're the one who's putting it on, you swallow that and you freaking plaster on a happy face, and your mind's going 1,000 miles per hour. [SPEAKER_01]: You get good at it.

[SPEAKER_01]: Okay. [SPEAKER_01]: But that doesn't mean it's like enjoyable. [SPEAKER_01]: Like I don't think I would intentionally put my, this is going to be an intensely horrible, very stressful, under the gun situation. [SPEAKER_01]: Would you like to do it? [SPEAKER_02]: I thank you. [SPEAKER_02]: Yeah.

[SPEAKER_02]: I mean, I got like so obsessed, I would be like, okay, how would I do my hair? [SPEAKER_02]: I was not like am I braiding my hair, so I don't have to mess with it. [SPEAKER_02]: You know, I'm just putting it in like really tight French braids with like a whole thing of a gel. [SPEAKER_02]: So just stays that way for like two weeks at a time.

[SPEAKER_02]: What am I doing? [SPEAKER_02]: Okay. [SPEAKER_01]: All right. [SPEAKER_02]: Well, I believe it's still on. [SPEAKER_01]: Oh my god. [SPEAKER_01]: She well, you and Aiden I will be rooting for you. [SPEAKER_01]: So fun. [SPEAKER_02]: Okay. [SPEAKER_02]: I had about I had one I can't find it and like scrolling scrolling where's the one about all the different ages and what you wear at certain age.

[SPEAKER_01]: Did you see that one? [SPEAKER_01]: I did it but while you look for it here's one from Mrs. Margo. [SPEAKER_01]: Shay I'm a filistine who didn't know the 1991 movie and chanted April was based on a book. [SPEAKER_01]: This is funny that you bring this up Mrs. Margo because I just read this book.

[SPEAKER_01]: It's almost as good as a good year, and that's high praise in the fact that I can't holiday in Italy for a month has me pulling my blonde hair out by its brown roots. [SPEAKER_01]: One day though, my question for y'all is, do you have a favorite French Italian dish that you love to make?

[SPEAKER_01]: Well, first off, let me preface this by saying the book is wonderful so you should read it [SPEAKER_01]: pulled a good year off of it's library. [SPEAKER_01]: I bought it so that I could watch it all the time. [SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, and I was having a bad day the other day in Stugos. [SPEAKER_01]: Why don't you go put on a stick year?

[SPEAKER_01]: So I go with I'm logging in and Amazon's like, can you check your email and go back to the six deadjet password? [SPEAKER_01]: I'm like, on my computer, on the time, just got her angry angry [SPEAKER_01]: And I go, and a good year's nowhere to be found. [SPEAKER_01]: Stu, can you go help me?

[SPEAKER_01]: Anyway, it's gone. [SPEAKER_01]: It's gone. [SPEAKER_01]: I don't know what I'm supposed to do. [SPEAKER_01]: I think it's on YouTube. [SPEAKER_01]: the whole movie. [SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, I think you already bought it. [SPEAKER_02]: I know. [SPEAKER_02]: It's bullcrap. [SPEAKER_02]: Pardon me.

[SPEAKER_02]: I already thought I know. [SPEAKER_02]: I bought it a few times on YouTube. [SPEAKER_02]: I find that stuff doesn't really last as long as it's supposed to. [SPEAKER_02]: But I do think it's on YouTube. [SPEAKER_01]: um okay there is no way I could possibly just do one dish. [SPEAKER_01]: Do you have one that comes to mind like you have a go to dish that you love to make?

[SPEAKER_02]: One, I have one that my family goes crazy for I don't like it doesn't it doesn't thrill me to make it I can take it or leave making it but okay it's super basic it's just a like chicken breasts and a cream sauce you know like oh my gosh [SPEAKER_02]: reducing and all that. [SPEAKER_01]: Like they just go, yeah, they love it.

[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, but I do make like, um, both Bergenium, you know, they're not a good, good meat stew. [SPEAKER_02]: Sure. [SPEAKER_02]: It's a fat glass of red wine and yeah, yeah, I think just pasta. [SPEAKER_01]: I mean, my family loves pasta's and like proper Italian pasta's actually have very few ingredients like three to five.

[SPEAKER_01]: You know, they're very not like the past is that you often enjoy here. [SPEAKER_01]: Yeah. [SPEAKER_01]: So like a couchway, Pepe is pecorino cheese, strides spaghetti and pepper quince. [SPEAKER_01]: That's it. [SPEAKER_01]: So if I if I take the time to make something like that, which by the way, that takes three and a half minutes, basically just takes as long as it takes this spaghetti to cook.

[SPEAKER_01]: they love that and that's my favorite like because you don't put so much time in as much as I love to cook right when you just have like a beautiful plate of pasta that's hard to get here done well yeah so making that at home I think it's my favorite. [SPEAKER_02]: I do not order pasta and papa never in public Nope [SPEAKER_02]: not doing it.

[SPEAKER_01]: We have this very posh Italian restaurant that's in Levinworth, which is like 45 minutes away from here, and they make their own pasta, which I know when you say freshly made pasta, people get really excited about that. [SPEAKER_01]: But let me just explain. [SPEAKER_01]: Just give me a minute, okay?

[SPEAKER_01]: That is like, more typical of the North where you have these fresh pastas made with egg and they're soft, okay? [SPEAKER_01]: Do you make them? [SPEAKER_01]: The noodles are soft. [SPEAKER_01]: Mm-hmm. [SPEAKER_01]: And then you cook them and then they have a sauce. [SPEAKER_01]: That is not a pasta that you can cook all day in.

[SPEAKER_01]: It's not like a pasta that has like a ton of body in your mouth. [SPEAKER_01]: It's very soft, okay? [SPEAKER_01]: So like fresh, fresh pasta doesn't necessarily mean good pasta. [SPEAKER_01]: because in the south, they just make it, they dry it. [SPEAKER_01]: And when you dry it, then you can cook it all then, day, when you cook it all, then, then, day, then you can have that bite.

[SPEAKER_01]: Like, imagine us forgetting noodle that's overcooked. [SPEAKER_02]: I can't, I can't shake it. [SPEAKER_01]: Do you know, like, stick to my stomach? [SPEAKER_02]: Like, if it's not, I'll then, they don't even bring it over. [SPEAKER_02]: Don't even like get it near me. [SPEAKER_02]: Like, I know.

[SPEAKER_01]: So it's like you can you can buy like fresh spaghetti presses. [SPEAKER_01]: Okay, but if you make fresh spaghetti, you better be dry in that be I don't want soft spaghetti. [SPEAKER_02]: Do you know I'll do every like the bigger noodles on my crank, but I'm not doing small. [SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, no, make some fresh lasagna noodles.

[SPEAKER_01]: That's what I mean. [SPEAKER_02]: It totally depends like linguically just a nice, yeah, you know, very, very popular. [SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, like a Feduccini with noodles. [SPEAKER_01]: Exactly. [SPEAKER_01]: Or a linguine or something. [SPEAKER_01]: That's great. [SPEAKER_01]: Do that. [SPEAKER_01]: Make a fresh, rather, the only, yes.

[SPEAKER_01]: But just because it's, you know, you see these restaurants. [SPEAKER_01]: Oh, fresh process. [SPEAKER_01]: Like, well, it better match the recipe better match what you're making. [SPEAKER_01]: That makes sense. [SPEAKER_01]: Anyway, this posture is strong, they weigh over do it. [SPEAKER_01]: It's like, would you like a lemon pesto and grilled prawn skewers and parmesan crisp and tomato colfine are like, I'll take one of those four pastos.

[SPEAKER_00]: Could you not put them all into this thing? [SPEAKER_01]: You have a special space, and you want to make it beautiful. [SPEAKER_02]: 14 to 18 experimental, ranging from Jamie and a walk to remember to sit down. [SPEAKER_02]: to sit down and say to sit she's giving like her I'm sorry.

[SPEAKER_02]: What are you saying? [SPEAKER_02]: She's giving her her fashion timeline okay okay so we're I'm going to do to get ready style progression this is what she's calling her fashion timeline okay zero to eight whimsical 9 to 13 sewing classes i.e. [SPEAKER_02]: 1990's homeschooler [SPEAKER_02]: 14 to 18, experimental ranging from Jamie and a walk to remember to sit down talks about short shorts and slit shoulders leaves.

[SPEAKER_02]: Turned volume. [SPEAKER_02]: Okay. [SPEAKER_02]: Okay. [SPEAKER_02]: 19 to 23. [SPEAKER_02]: I just want to my face and hair to be so pretty that it doesn't matter what I wear. [SPEAKER_02]: Mid 20s? [SPEAKER_02]: Breaver now. [SPEAKER_02]: Make up improved still clueless with eyebrows and accessories.

[SPEAKER_02]: Late 20s to 32, all caps, sheath dresses, Arabic slash Indian inspired flare, 36, 33 to 36, minimalist, 37 plus feminine romantic tendencies in need of balance. [SPEAKER_00]: Amy, yes. [SPEAKER_02]: I mean, I need to wear me some sheath dresses, man. [SPEAKER_02]: Excuse me, navy blue linen.

[SPEAKER_02]: I can't like them, because they always like had so much fabric out this way. [SPEAKER_02]: Like I'd get them from old navy in my twenties and I'd always like, is this a maternity dress? [SPEAKER_02]: Why is there so much fabric? [SPEAKER_02]: Give me some darts, like a sheath to me. [SPEAKER_02]: I don't know.

[SPEAKER_02]: It feels like it should have a little bit more shape, a little bit more silhouette. [SPEAKER_02]: I hate it the old Navy ones. [SPEAKER_02]: I was always like, yeah, I should do something with this thing. [SPEAKER_02]: Yeah. [SPEAKER_01]: So I'm going to have to speak for the also fashionably challenged Amy.

[SPEAKER_01]: Okay. [SPEAKER_01]: Angela gets cut out of this conversation because she's had her style figured out for too long. [SPEAKER_01]: Okay. [SPEAKER_01]: Okay. [SPEAKER_01]: Um, I feel like if you could give girls a gift in their life, given the gospel and then give them a sense of their own body, coloring, style, like help them to find that.

[SPEAKER_01]: because this is how most of it works for all of us, Amy, like we're just floundering around trying to find it and not really being able to articulate why we feel good in something or why we get complimented in particular things and not other things. [SPEAKER_01]: I think this is really tricky and it's the least one-size-fits-all [SPEAKER_01]: you know what I mean?

[SPEAKER_01]: You can see something on someone that looks amazing and you do that same thing and it does wrong with the measure. [SPEAKER_01]: And it like learning to speak that language. [SPEAKER_01]: Oh my gosh, I think that's so. [SPEAKER_00]: How do you do that? [SPEAKER_00]: How could we how could we have saved Amy from her air [SPEAKER_01]: noisy and wonderful to go from that to minimalist then that sounds like a price is like something happened there but that's pretty wild right right that's a pretty wild heart downshift yeah [SPEAKER_01]: I think this is also really influential.

[SPEAKER_01]: I do want your answer to that question, but I do think this is also really influenced by your life circumstances. [SPEAKER_01]: So we have a family in our church and they were missionaries in Jordan for a long time. [SPEAKER_01]: And I've noticed that Sarah wears [SPEAKER_01]: not like middle-eastern sort of, but she wears like lots of linen, sort of like flowy things, minimalist pieces that can be worn in lots of ways, even like to the way she wraps her scarf.

[SPEAKER_01]: Like it's obviously influenced by all the time that she spent there. [SPEAKER_01]: Well, sandals, you know, that kind of thing. [SPEAKER_01]: Some of that you can't account for in your life. [SPEAKER_01]: But I'm just kind of curious, like if you could go back and re-educate, [SPEAKER_01]: Amy, what would you tell her what gosh?

[SPEAKER_02]: No, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no [SPEAKER_02]: I don't know.

[SPEAKER_02]: I mean, I think you really have to pay attention to what you're attracted to. [SPEAKER_02]: Like, when you are watching a movie or something, or you see someone in public, I've seen a few women come into my shop lately. [SPEAKER_02]: There was a woman in the other day. [SPEAKER_02]: She just, sometimes it's just one thing that takes a woman's whole style and just, [SPEAKER_02]: She had on nothing great.

[SPEAKER_02]: She had on a nice pair of jeans. [SPEAKER_02]: She had on a short-sleeved sweater, and she had the cutest pixie cut. [SPEAKER_02]: I mean, it was perfect for her. [SPEAKER_02]: And you could just see her haircut was her outfit that she wore every day. [SPEAKER_02]: That haircut was her power move in it brought together every outfit that she probably puts on.

[SPEAKER_01]: You know, don't get a pixie caught unless you AI it on your face first to make sure it works. [SPEAKER_01]: Okay. [SPEAKER_01]: Add one. [SPEAKER_01]: No. [SPEAKER_02]: I had one when I was like 23. [SPEAKER_02]: I think there's one photograph of me with it. [SPEAKER_01]: No photographs.

[SPEAKER_01]: So this is over. [SPEAKER_01]: I got a cowboy hat fitted one time. [SPEAKER_01]: And this guy was, you know, they steam it and like mold it to your head, and he was like, don't ever shave your head. [SPEAKER_01]: Because I have my grand plus gigantic Norwegian head. [SPEAKER_01]: Like, okay, it's not good.

[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah. [SPEAKER_01]: Now, it kind of like an alien. [SPEAKER_01]: It's not good. [SPEAKER_01]: No. [SPEAKER_01]: If I ever lose my hair, I'm wiggin' it up. [SPEAKER_01]: I need everybody to know that. [SPEAKER_00]: Uh-huh. [SPEAKER_00]: Uh-huh. [SPEAKER_00]: Okay? [SPEAKER_00]: Okay. [SPEAKER_00]: No, no, pixie.

[SPEAKER_00]: No pixie. [SPEAKER_01]: This, this, this, this gal was pretty tiny. [SPEAKER_01]: That tends to make a difference with pixie. [SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, she was probably five, five, six. [SPEAKER_01]: And she was, she was a little, not, like, she was a little thing. [SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, so my sister's 510 and she has this like beautiful small head and these insane blue eyes and back in the day she had a pixie and I I said just that her picture a few months calls like cut your hair like this again, like you you are so blessed to be able to pull this off.

[SPEAKER_01]: Right. [SPEAKER_01]: And because of her eyes, like the hair, it makes, like you just, you're drawn to them. [SPEAKER_01]: You can look away from them. [SPEAKER_01]: They suck you in from crystal blue. [SPEAKER_01]: Anyway, yeah, she's tall with blue eyes and a small head blue, who Brynn.

[SPEAKER_01]: Blue eyes and a small head. [SPEAKER_01]: Funny adventure of every man's beauty. [SPEAKER_02]: That's terrible. [SPEAKER_02]: I do think you should pay attention to like what you like though and and then ask yourself, like in what situation in my life would that work? [SPEAKER_02]: And what is it that I like, you know, and like make a, make a, make a little.

[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, like collection of other women were like, I love this. [SPEAKER_01]: You'll pick up patterns. [SPEAKER_02]: I think yeah, is it the, is it the simple sheet with some giant crazy necklace? [SPEAKER_02]: Like, what is it the. [SPEAKER_02]: Push pull of that that you like. [SPEAKER_02]: I mean, I think you should really figure out what you like.

[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah. [SPEAKER_00]: Do you remember? [SPEAKER_00]: Do you remember during COVID when I was like, I'm only gonna wear skirts. [SPEAKER_00]: Yes. [SPEAKER_00]: That looked like that from the 1800s. [SPEAKER_00]: Yes, I do, sure. [SPEAKER_00]: Not a good move for me. [SPEAKER_00]: For some women, amazing.

[SPEAKER_01]: For some women, amazing. [SPEAKER_02]: Do you have anything that you know doesn't look great on you, but you wear it just because you like it so much? [SPEAKER_02]: You know it's not the best for you, but you do it anyways, [SPEAKER_00]: You see a picture and you're like, oh, dang. [SPEAKER_01]: But I don't know.

[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, I wear, I wear my role measures. [SPEAKER_01]: You're out of my house. [SPEAKER_01]: It looks terrible. [SPEAKER_00]: I bought yesterday and we wanted to. [SPEAKER_01]: We wanted to. [SPEAKER_01]: We can't. [SPEAKER_01]: It's not the most flattering thing. [SPEAKER_01]: But I have my, my team's, I fall when I wear, if it's match day, I wear my gear, man.

[SPEAKER_01]: Well, that's so great. [SPEAKER_01]: I love it. [SPEAKER_01]: You know, it's not the most flattering, just because it's boxy or why actually my man city sweatshirt's pretty cute, like this little crappie sweatshirt. [SPEAKER_01]: Okay. [SPEAKER_01]: It's great. [SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, I mean, it's a sports jersey.

[SPEAKER_01]: You know, it's fine if my hair is done and I've got my hoop earrings and got my lips on. [SPEAKER_01]: Sure. [SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, I've been Saturday and I've been out there. [SPEAKER_02]: That's funny. [SPEAKER_02]: Do you? [SPEAKER_02]: Uh, I know I do. [SPEAKER_02]: And as the question was coming out of my mouth, I'm like, she's going to ask me.

[SPEAKER_02]: I know I do, but I can't think of what it is. [SPEAKER_02]: If I walked over to my closet, I'd be like, oh, that's the one right there. [SPEAKER_01]: I mean, I do have this. [SPEAKER_01]: Like it looks like kind of like a pirate shirt, sign felled much a little bit okay kind of like rice linen it's a really nice fabric and it's kind of like bunched in it's and it's got these put like frilly sleeves and every time I put it on I'm like I love this shirt and then I take it off and where I leave the house and free time really I just need to get rid of it you just feel like a clown in it or like just I don't have a feminine energy I don't like [SPEAKER_01]: It doesn't look like, it's like lace.

[SPEAKER_01]: I cannot wear lace. [SPEAKER_01]: Okay, I cannot wear, but interestingly, Angela, I haven't told you this, I bought these sexiest. [SPEAKER_01]: Sequined gold skirt in Italy. [SPEAKER_01]: And they only had a size two small, and I was like, I'll take them, do one at night. [SPEAKER_00]: We're glad that's just such a s***.

[SPEAKER_00]: Lace is not. [SPEAKER_01]: What is that? [SPEAKER_02]: Well, yeah, no, I can see that sequencer feminine don't you think sequins are powerful. [SPEAKER_02]: I don't, I would not call sequins feminine. [SPEAKER_02]: I would call them powerful, like they're, yeah, I love, I love them. [SPEAKER_01]: I love them.

[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, I bought a [SPEAKER_02]: a brown shirt last year and I bought it even it was not it was damaged at the store and I'm like I don't care I'm buying this shirt and it's just like this long sleeve and it's this like the tiny tiny little sequence and then the top is brown lace. [SPEAKER_02]: but it's very poorly, it was a cheap shirt.

[SPEAKER_02]: It was like almost like panty home material with some flowers woven into it and you could tell it had like snagged when people tried it on with their earrings or whatever, but it's so wonky. [SPEAKER_02]: I don't care. [SPEAKER_02]: You'd have to look to notice that it was snagged. [SPEAKER_02]: I love this shirt so much.

[SPEAKER_02]: It's just brown and I can wear it at this time. [SPEAKER_02]: You're like, for Thanksgiving and stuff. [SPEAKER_01]: I love sequins. [SPEAKER_02]: Uh-huh. [SPEAKER_01]: Yeah. [SPEAKER_01]: So, [SPEAKER_01]: We talked about fashion last week, obviously. [SPEAKER_01]: So we don't want to beat that horse.

[SPEAKER_01]: But I would say just, yeah, build a, build a vision board. [SPEAKER_01]: And then too, what I find is like, here's six outfits that work for this season. [SPEAKER_01]: And here's people who I think I like their outfit. [SPEAKER_01]: So then when you go to get dressed, you're like, okay, I need to wear jeans today.

[SPEAKER_01]: How is she wearing jeans? [SPEAKER_01]: Oh, she's wearing it like this with a belt and this thing here. [SPEAKER_00]: And okay, do you, do you, [SPEAKER_00]: go shopping or do you just buy something if you see it and you like it? [SPEAKER_01]: No, I don't go shopping. [SPEAKER_01]: I walk too, but I don't like it.

[SPEAKER_01]: And if I know overwhelming, so I typically buy things if I see them, which the only time I'm really out and about is when I'm in Italy and I'm like wandering the streets. [SPEAKER_01]: So if I see something there, I'll just grab it because I don't really we don't really have stores like that here and also the couple of stores that we little boutique kind of stores that we have here, not my style at all.

[SPEAKER_01]: not, not even remotely close. [SPEAKER_01]: Okay. [SPEAKER_01]: So you, I think you kind of need to find someplace with the energy that fits you. [SPEAKER_00]: Mm-hmm. [SPEAKER_00]: That makes sense. [SPEAKER_00]: Yeah. [SPEAKER_00]: Mm-hmm. [SPEAKER_02]: Um, uh, or brands. [SPEAKER_00]: Yeah.

[SPEAKER_00]: That's it. [SPEAKER_00]: Yeah. [SPEAKER_02]: I don't want to sound stupid. [SPEAKER_02]: It's Losa. [SPEAKER_02]: What, how do I say this lady's name? [SPEAKER_02]: I'm so sorry. [SPEAKER_02]: I don't know how to say this name. [SPEAKER_01]: mortal we're going to go with. [SPEAKER_02]: Have you ladies heard of the kibi body types?

[SPEAKER_02]: They are so interesting and go deeper into the musculature and bone structure of a person and the softness of a person. [SPEAKER_02]: So helpful and interesting. [SPEAKER_01]: And that's interesting. [SPEAKER_02]: That is interesting. [SPEAKER_01]: No, I never heard of this. [SPEAKER_01]: So let me look at it.

[SPEAKER_01]: And then we can come back. [SPEAKER_01]: We can circle back to it. [SPEAKER_01]: Because there are like very lovely squishy soft people. [SPEAKER_01]: And I love that so much. [SPEAKER_01]: Oh, is she soft? [SPEAKER_01]: Yes. [SPEAKER_01]: What do you mean? [SPEAKER_01]: And I don't even mean like they're big.

[SPEAKER_01]: I mean, like they are, there's like a round softness to that. [SPEAKER_02]: Okay. [SPEAKER_01]: That makes it like draws you in. [SPEAKER_01]: And then there's like people who are much more angular. [SPEAKER_01]: You know, so I'm curious if that's the kind of thing that it talks about. [SPEAKER_00]: I have no idea.

[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, I'm not sure. [SPEAKER_01]: People are lots of comments here. [SPEAKER_01]: They want to make sure your feet are well taken care. [SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, I guess so. [SPEAKER_02]: Thanks, guys. [SPEAKER_02]: Ultra winter hiking boots. [SPEAKER_02]: Angela concerning winter walking and live in Maine and walk all winter.

[SPEAKER_02]: We have some brutal weather, but like you, walking feeds my soul. [SPEAKER_02]: I use ultra, like AL, ultra winter hiking boots. [SPEAKER_02]: And the best part is I have heated inserts. [SPEAKER_02]: Sweet. [SPEAKER_02]: Do some research. [SPEAKER_02]: I love them. [SPEAKER_02]: Shae, buy the darn snow shoes.

[SPEAKER_02]: Get two sets and use it for dates or let two kids go. [SPEAKER_02]: It's good exercise in the winter and worth the investment. [SPEAKER_01]: You know, I can genuinely say I never thought about buying less pairs and just having us go in rounds. [SPEAKER_00]: I can genuinely say I'd never thought of that.

[SPEAKER_00]: Why? [SPEAKER_00]: That took me a while. [SPEAKER_01]: Thank you for that recommendation. [SPEAKER_01]: Apparently, I need help. [SPEAKER_01]: Here's a sweet one and I'll maybe a little encouragement to you for some of you. [SPEAKER_01]: This is from Car Lista. [SPEAKER_01]: Ladies, you will evolve as life does and you will continue to flourish.

[SPEAKER_01]: And I just became a grandma two years ago. [SPEAKER_01]: If you think having your own kids was great, just wait. [SPEAKER_01]: I appreciate that today, Carlos, that could's. [SPEAKER_01]: I didn't tell you guys this, but I quit life today. [SPEAKER_01]: Before this show, this gives me something to all don't do.

[SPEAKER_00]: I love that. [SPEAKER_01]: All right, ladies. [SPEAKER_01]: Thanks for joining us here for a little hangout time. [SPEAKER_01]: Um, we'll be back with you next Monday. [SPEAKER_01]: Geez, the weeks are flying. [SPEAKER_02]: They are just flying. [SPEAKER_02]: Look in. [SPEAKER_02]: We're going to have to start talking about some holidays or something here soon.

[SPEAKER_02]: Good. [SPEAKER_01]: I was thinking about getting so much just like greenery. [SPEAKER_01]: Some of those November eat things. [SPEAKER_01]: I don't do Christmas yet. [SPEAKER_01]: But. [SPEAKER_01]: I like having the garlands in such a way. [SPEAKER_02]: What's your weather like? [SPEAKER_02]: We're having such beautiful weather.

[SPEAKER_02]: Beautiful. [SPEAKER_02]: I know. [SPEAKER_02]: Yeah. [SPEAKER_01]: And the garlands are still green. [SPEAKER_02]: Like I'm slapping dragons. [SPEAKER_01]: Like, yeah. [SPEAKER_01]: I don't like having fake things inside when there's still real stuff outside. [SPEAKER_01]: That's that's a hard.

[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah. [SPEAKER_02]: Yeah. [SPEAKER_02]: I got a wait for that burst horrible day. [SPEAKER_02]: I can't do it. [SPEAKER_02]: It's just blue sky blue sky blue sky blue sky blue sky. [SPEAKER_02]: It's so beautiful. [SPEAKER_02]: So. [SPEAKER_02]: Yeah. [SPEAKER_02]: All right, ladies, we'll see you next week.

[SPEAKER_02]: Cheers.
