The Shed That Blinked Once Every Four Seconds
A sealed concrete shed on the outskirts of Ardmore Flats emitted an amber pulse once every four seconds through a crack less than two centimeters wide, then stopped after roughly one minute-witnessed first by a fourteen-year-old paper girl and later observed for eleven minutes by a GIS technician. What was inside a shed welded shut for eight years, with no official equipment on site, that could produce a metronomic light and leave fresh wheel tracks in dry ground?
In this episode, we follow the sequence of events from the first sighting through the actions taken by the only adult who pursued the anomaly, and we lay out the physical evidence that challenged the official record-what happened at the shed and why did local authorities treat it as a nuisance report?
Person: Gina Brooks
Age: 22 (spring 2011)
Date: June 9, 2011
Location: Prospect Spur Road, Ardmore Flats, Wyoming
Witness: Gail Mitchell, age 14
- The light was amber and pulsed once every four seconds through a crack under a welded steel shutter measuring less than 2 centimeters wide.
- Gail Mitchell watched the light for about one minute at AM on June 9, 2011 before it went dark.
- Gina Brooks observed the same pulsing light for eleven minutes on the evening of June 14, 2011 using borrowed binoculars and timing it with her phone stopwatch.
- Gina found a one-and-a-half meter-wide section of chain-link fence re-tied with new galvanized wire about 60 meters from the gate and photographed it.
- Two parallel wheel grooves were found pressed evenly into clay-silt leading from the re-tied fence to the shed side entrance; the last local rain had been May 28, making the tracks no more than 16 days old.
