Le Familistère de Guise - utopie sociale ouvrière

In this episode, Gaelle talks about a historical place she discovered in the North-East of France, near Belgium: the Familistère de Guise. The only social utopia that was actually set up (and not just dreamed about) and that worked for over a century! You will discover who was behind this idealistic project and what kind of society they hoped to create, in the midst of the brutal 19th century - when the working class was living in indecent and terrible conditions.
