The true story behind The Conjuring 3: The Devil Made Me Do It, is that in February 1981, a young man by the name of Arne Cheyenne Johnson was arrested in Connecticut and charged with murder. Under ordinary circumstances, such a crime would have been given brief mention in the local press, and the matter would’ve quickly faded from public view. What the press did not know at the time, because the essential facts were still cloaked in secrecy, was that the murder represented the culmination of a horrendous religious case that had begun fully eight months before, in the town of Brookfield, Connecticut, our topic for this episode: The Possession of David Glatzel.
