[SPEAKER_01]: My dear beloved respected brothers and sisters, I ask Allah, Zawajal, to bless me and you, with sincerity and everything we say and everything that we do. [SPEAKER_01]: I mean, Rabal al-Alimin. [SPEAKER_01]: We are living in a time where dunya, where this life never been more glamorous, glittering.

[SPEAKER_01]: It smells like luxury and it looks like power. [SPEAKER_00]: And it promises us that if you just collected enough [SPEAKER_00]: If you just built enough, if you just achieve enough, you will be safe. [SPEAKER_00]: So we tell ourselves one more goal, one more milestone. [SPEAKER_00]: When I graduate, I'm gonna wear the hijab.

[SPEAKER_00]: When I finish building my home, I will focus on my pleasure. [SPEAKER_00]: When I get that promotion, I will start fixing my spiritual heart. [SPEAKER_00]: But my question is to myself and to you. [SPEAKER_00]: What if the very things, the very things that we think, that they are blessing to us, they are actually the tools for our destruction?

[SPEAKER_00]: So today in Shā'a Llāh Tā'a Llāh in this short hūt pā, we will contemplate on three specific verses from the Qur'an, three ayat, three [SPEAKER_00]: divine warnings that tear through the glamorous illusion of this dunya. [SPEAKER_00]: These three I had should make me and you our hair on our hands stand up.

[SPEAKER_00]: And believe it or not, they are not I had versus describing the hellfire or describing the status of people on the day of judgment. [SPEAKER_00]: They are not, but because they describe the most dangerous trap in existence. [SPEAKER_00]: The trap of being [SPEAKER_00]: given everything while for getting the giver.

[SPEAKER_01]: That's what these ayat discuss. [SPEAKER_01]: Let's take them one by one. [SPEAKER_01]: The first ayat. [SPEAKER_00]: Allah, Akbar, listen carefully. [SPEAKER_00]: So when they forgot the reminders from Allah, they forgot what they learned in Juma. [SPEAKER_00]: They forgot any lecture they took, any class they studied, anything.

[SPEAKER_00]: They forgot everything about Allah, about their dean. [SPEAKER_00]: We, [SPEAKER_00]: opened the doors of every single thing for them until and when they are very happy with what they got, we seize them suddenly and suddenly they are in utter despair, this incorrectly. [SPEAKER_00]: When they forgot Allah, they forgot to pray, they forgot the hijab, they forgot that Haram to deal with interest, they forgot everything.

[SPEAKER_00]: They sell alcohol, they buy pork, everything is haram, they do. [SPEAKER_00]: They forgot everything about Allah. [SPEAKER_00]: What happened? [SPEAKER_00]: Did Allah SWT destroy their business? [SPEAKER_00]: Did Allah SWT make them sick? [SPEAKER_00]: Did Allah as the Wajjal make them lose all their wealth?

[SPEAKER_00]: Did their children fail in their life? [SPEAKER_00]: No, exactly the opposite! [SPEAKER_00]: We opened every single door. [SPEAKER_00]: The business is booming. [SPEAKER_00]: The promotion came. [SPEAKER_00]: The children got accepted in top universities. [SPEAKER_00]: The home is closed.

[SPEAKER_00]: The vacation. [SPEAKER_00]: The best vacation in the best places. [SPEAKER_00]: And people look at that person and say, Mash'a Allah, the bad Allah, the brother so and so. [SPEAKER_00]: He has been so blessed by Allah. [SPEAKER_00]: Look, look how successful he is. [SPEAKER_01]: And as a matter of fact, the person himself, he thinks and he says, if Allah does not love me, why would he give me all that?

[SPEAKER_01]: These can absolutely be blessings from Allah, but they are not a proof that Allah is pleased with us. [SPEAKER_01]: They are not necessarily a proof that Allah is pleased with us. [SPEAKER_01]: Why? [SPEAKER_01]: Because Rasulullah says, Allah told us that Allah gives this dunya, gives this life to the people who he love and to the people who he does not care about.

[SPEAKER_01]: But he gives the akhirah only to the people who he loves. [SPEAKER_01]: So the question is not how much Allah has given me. [SPEAKER_01]: The question is, what has what Allah gave me done to me, what has what Allah gave me done to me? [SPEAKER_01]: Imagine this business man, he stayed until 2am preparing all the documents for his deal that he was going to close the next day.

[SPEAKER_01]: and on the next day it happened to be a Friday and he was in the meeting and it feels very awkward to tell the people who came from everywhere. [SPEAKER_01]: I have to break and go for Juma. [SPEAKER_01]: So he missed Juma also. [SPEAKER_01]: So he missed Feijer because he stayed till 2 a.m. and he missed Juma because the meeting took long too long.

[SPEAKER_01]: And not only that he compromised his integrity to secure that contract. [SPEAKER_01]: Guess what? [SPEAKER_01]: He made $100,000. [SPEAKER_00]: He made $100,000 in few minutes. [SPEAKER_00]: And he went back home so happy that he decided to take the family to a very fancy dinner. [SPEAKER_00]: He bought everybody gifts.

[SPEAKER_00]: And to the level he says to himself, Subhanallah, I skipped pleasure and I skipped Juma. [SPEAKER_00]: And nothing happened. [SPEAKER_00]: And as a matter of fact, not only that, I made a lot of money too. [SPEAKER_01]: That moment is the exact trap mentioned in the ayah. [SPEAKER_01]: we took them suddenly, very whole Bima Utu, he's very happy what he has achieved today.

[SPEAKER_01]: And suddenly, a sudden collapse of the market, a sudden heart attack or even worse, a sudden appearance. [SPEAKER_01]: of the angel of death. [SPEAKER_01]: My brothers and sisters, the question is, is there something that I once begged Allah to give me? [SPEAKER_01]: That is now distracting me from Allah.

[SPEAKER_01]: You see, a brother coming here. [SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, Allah, I lost my job. [SPEAKER_00]: Two, three months begging Allah for a job when he gave him the job. [SPEAKER_00]: He stopped coming to the machine. [SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, Allah, I'm looking for a spouse. [SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, Allah, please, bless me with a spouse when he got the spouse.

[SPEAKER_00]: He stopped praying completely. [SPEAKER_00]: Did it distanced me from Allah or brought me closer to Allah? [SPEAKER_00]: That is the question. [SPEAKER_00]: So when Allah Subhanahu ta'ala gives a blessing, do not just say al-Handul illa, do not only be grateful, but also use that blessing for the service of Allah as the Wajjal.

[SPEAKER_01]: Just because of the time, second ayah. [SPEAKER_01]: Allah Subhanahu ta'ala said in Surat-l-Israq, first ayan Surat-l-Anam. [SPEAKER_00]: Manqa'na yuri, du l'Ajjila. [SPEAKER_00]: Adjallna l'ha'u fi'ha, man'a'ya'li men'n'n'n'n'n'n'n'n'n'n'n'n'n'n'n'n'n'n'n'n'n'n'n'n'n'n'n'n'n'n'n'n'n'n'n'n'n'n'n'n'n'n'n'n'n'n'n'n'n'n'n'n'n'n'n'n'n'n'n'n'n'n'n'n'n'n'n'n'n'n'n'n'n'n' [SPEAKER_00]: for whom we intend, then we have made for him hell, where he will stay there condemned and expelled.

[SPEAKER_00]: What did Allah call this life? [SPEAKER_00]: What did He call the dunya? [SPEAKER_00]: He called it Allahajila, immediate. [SPEAKER_00]: instant gratification, same day delivery, high-speed internet, instant validation through social media likes, they want to come forth now so they miss pleasure, they want the money now so they deal with Reba with interest, they want the pleasure now so they have haram relationships.

[SPEAKER_00]: outside marriage, and Allah Subhanahu Wa'Ta'ala, he did not say if you want the immediate I will give it to you. [SPEAKER_00]: He said, man, shah, liman norid, this is the ultimate loss. [SPEAKER_00]: I will give it to him so ever I wish for as much as I wish, Yani, you could get nothing.

[SPEAKER_00]: You have sacrificed the Ahira for dunya gain, and then you did not even get the dunya. [SPEAKER_00]: So [SPEAKER_00]: You lost this life and the hereafter, that is the ultimate last. [SPEAKER_01]: Let's give you a real example, a young brother scrolling through social media and he's a young people.

[SPEAKER_01]: happy in palaces driving supercars, videotaping their vacations and his small soft voice comes to his head. [SPEAKER_01]: Look at these people. [SPEAKER_01]: They have no Islamic boundaries and they're having the best of time. [SPEAKER_01]: Look at the fun that they're having. [SPEAKER_01]: Look how much they're enjoying their life.

[SPEAKER_01]: They do not even pray. [SPEAKER_01]: They do not dress obviously and look at the life that they're having. [SPEAKER_01]: Alaijila. [SPEAKER_01]: This is the trap of the immediate Allah called it al-Ajila. [SPEAKER_01]: Your compromise, you compromise your deen to get a taste only of this life.

[SPEAKER_01]: You trade your hayat, you trade your salat, your relationship with Allah to fit in a circle of people who are racing [SPEAKER_01]: To destruction, what is the result? [SPEAKER_01]: Thumma j'a'alna l'ha'am j'a'anam Thumma j'a'alna l'ha'u j'a'anam ayaslaha Madmoum and Madhawara Then the hellfire will be their final abode Some say I can't pray right now Because I had a meeting [SPEAKER_01]: I have a client, I have a patient, I have an exam, I have customers, my beloved brother, my beloved sister, who gave you the above, who gave you the above, who gave you the brain, the tools to be able to handle the above.

[SPEAKER_00]: So who controls your wrist? [SPEAKER_00]: Sometimes we behave. [SPEAKER_00]: As if the dunya is providing and Allah is interrupting my provision five times a day. [SPEAKER_00]: We believe that the dunya is providing and Allah is interrupting my provision five times a day. [SPEAKER_00]: While it is exactly the opposite, Allah is the provider, Allah is the only provider, and the dunya is interrupting my relationship with my creator.

[SPEAKER_01]: something eternal for something that is temporary, third ayah, and this Subhan Allah, this ayah, the most haunting of all. [SPEAKER_01]: In Surat Yunus ayah number seven, Allah Subhan Allah Allah said, in Nalladina la yarojoon al-Iqa'anam. [SPEAKER_01]: and the world's most beautiful world.

[SPEAKER_01]: And that's what we have. [SPEAKER_01]: And that's what we have, and that's what we have in our hearts. [SPEAKER_01]: And that's what we have. [SPEAKER_01]: And that's what we have in our hearts. [SPEAKER_01]: Thank you very much. [SPEAKER_01]: Look at the description of Allah Subhanahu alaihi wa Ta'ala-ghi.

[SPEAKER_00]: Indeed those who do not expect to meet us and they are satisfied, satisfied with this life and they feel very secure in it and they are heedless of our signs. [SPEAKER_00]: La Yarjuna liqahana. [SPEAKER_00]: He does not care about halar and haram. [SPEAKER_00]: He does not care what I am going to reward him, to reward him with or he's worried about my punishment.

[SPEAKER_00]: He is not looking forward to meet Allah as the Wajjal which is the dream and the goal of every true believer. [SPEAKER_00]: He does not care. [SPEAKER_00]: This yawlo, you only live once. [SPEAKER_00]: This is his life. [SPEAKER_00]: This is it. [SPEAKER_00]: Namu to anahya. [SPEAKER_00]: In namahya to an adunya.

[SPEAKER_00]: This is our life. [SPEAKER_00]: There's nothing after this life. [SPEAKER_00]: Lair Juno Naliqa'ana, and Radoo Bill Hayatid Dunyam, and this Dunyam is enough for me. [SPEAKER_00]: What Ma'ennu Bihah, he feels very safe, I have reached my career goal, I graduated, I got my PhD, I'm set. [SPEAKER_01]: I am set, Walidina Haman, Ayatina Rafilun, and they ignore and they are heedless from our signs, the earth, the earth quick, that shook so many.

[SPEAKER_01]: The flood, all these signs from Allah to wake up and come back to him, nothing. [SPEAKER_00]: The Janaza, the funeral, after funeral, after funeral to make us wake up and think, no, no, it's not me. [SPEAKER_00]: 95, I'm going to live to 95. [SPEAKER_00]: Not me, it's not me. [SPEAKER_01]: It's not Anubihah.

[SPEAKER_01]: They are very pleased. [SPEAKER_01]: They are content with this life. [SPEAKER_01]: The problem is when the gifts become more important than the one who gave the gifts. [SPEAKER_01]: The problem is when the dunya stopped being the road. [SPEAKER_01]: and it became the destination. [SPEAKER_01]: My brothers and sisters, someone ask you, what's your plan for the next five years?

[SPEAKER_01]: You will easily, many of us, oh, I'm getting married, I'm gonna finish my degree, I'm gonna build my home, some of us might say, I have my retirement plan is ready, I'm gonna call us finish, pay off all my mortgage, but if we ask the same question, [SPEAKER_01]: What is your planning for the Achira for the next five years?

[SPEAKER_01]: What was the last time we thought about this question? [SPEAKER_01]: It hardly crosses our mind, you know what? [SPEAKER_01]: And no, be it. [SPEAKER_01]: We are safe, I've done everything. [SPEAKER_01]: I'm good, it's a panel of my brothers and sisters. [SPEAKER_01]: If you lose your wallet and it has $1,000 in it or if your brand new car gets crashed or maybe if your phone fell in the lake or lahi you will have sleepless nights and you will talk about it all day but if you miss Feijr wake up in the morning, brush my teeth and I go to work.

[SPEAKER_01]: I think happened. [SPEAKER_01]: Nothing happened. [SPEAKER_01]: Nothing. [SPEAKER_01]: I don't even mention there's not even cross my mind. [SPEAKER_01]: You know what happened? [SPEAKER_01]: I will tell myself at least I'm praying. [SPEAKER_01]: The shaytan comes and tell me oh there are millions of people do not pray.

[SPEAKER_01]: At least you pray. [SPEAKER_01]: It's okay. [SPEAKER_01]: You can pray for a year at 9 a.m. what's the big deal? [SPEAKER_01]: You're better than many people but it's good they do not pray. [SPEAKER_01]: But you pray. [SPEAKER_01]: Nothing, no pain, no tears, no nothing. [SPEAKER_01]: Omar al-Radi Allah al-Wa'ar da'a.

[SPEAKER_01]: Omar, Haradiyallahu'a'an, who are the one time he missed Asr in Jama'a in congregation, not Mr. Asr, that's a question nobody asked the Rasulullah say, what happened in Rasulullah? [SPEAKER_01]: If Mr. Asr missed the Salat, that question you hardly hear it in the Hadith. [SPEAKER_01]: He missed Asr in Jama'a, what happened people came to his house offering condolences.

[SPEAKER_01]: There was a azah in his house. [SPEAKER_01]: My brothers and sisters, these I yet are not here to scare us. [SPEAKER_01]: But they are here, if you are listening to them, that means there's still chance to wake up. [SPEAKER_01]: Because many people have already been under the ground six feet under and this talk will not benefit them anymore.

[SPEAKER_01]: What can we do? [SPEAKER_01]: Number one. [SPEAKER_01]: Stop evaluating a laws pleasure based on your wealth. [SPEAKER_01]: Stop. [SPEAKER_01]: evaluating Allah's pleasure based on your material wealth. [SPEAKER_01]: If that is the case, then Pharaoh and Qarun will be in the Ferdousel-Ala. Allah when he spoke about Qarun.

[SPEAKER_01]: What did he say? [SPEAKER_01]: He said 40 people or more, Ospa is from 9 to 40. [SPEAKER_01]: 40 people cannot carry the keys of the vaults he had. [SPEAKER_00]: So if my status was a lot depends on how much money do I have, then Qarun will be forget it. [SPEAKER_00]: He's the best second.

[SPEAKER_01]: Pasal Lassai, Salam said, couldn't fit dunya. [SPEAKER_01]: Qa'an n'n'n'n'n'n'n'n'n'n'n'n'n'n'n'n'n'n'n'n'n'n'n'n'n'n'n'n'n'n'n'n'n'n'n'n'n'n'n'n'n'n'n'n'n'n'n'n'n'n'n'n'n'n'n'n'n'n'n'n'n'n'n'n'n'n'n'n'n'n'n'n'n'n'n'n'n'n'n'n'n'n'n'n'n'n'n'n'n'n'n'n'n'n'n'n'n'n'n'n'n'n'n'n'n'n'n'n'n'n [SPEAKER_01]: You ignore this dunya, you want to become lazy, do not be successful, do not be ambitious, do not be motivated.

[SPEAKER_00]: He did not say that. [SPEAKER_00]: The travelary, he eats the travel, the drinks, the traveler go in a nice hotel. [SPEAKER_00]: But the traveler knows for a fact that this is not home, he knows, this is not home, I'm traveling. [SPEAKER_00]: He's not going to build a house at DFW. [SPEAKER_00]: He's not going to ask the people where he's in the waiting room or in the waiting area.

[SPEAKER_00]: He's not going to tell them, this isn't very uncomfortable. [SPEAKER_00]: Can you go buy me a 5,000 dollar couch till I get to my plane? [SPEAKER_00]: He knows it's temporary. [SPEAKER_00]: He knows that this is not home. [SPEAKER_00]: Third. [SPEAKER_01]: Let's reconnect with Allah, Echuan.

[SPEAKER_01]: Let's reconnect with Allah, Subhanata. [SPEAKER_01]: Some of us are behind them, they're Salat, and they're prayer. [SPEAKER_01]: Some of us are behind their business transactions. [SPEAKER_01]: Maybe they are falling into Haram. [SPEAKER_01]: Please, Allah, make this good, but today, a reason for change.

[SPEAKER_01]: Not just I came to Jama'at, [SPEAKER_01]: Jack, next, also next. [SPEAKER_01]: No, no, no. [SPEAKER_01]: We came here to learn something and to implement it in our life. [SPEAKER_01]: Every single day, when we wake up in the morning, what is the dua that we say? [SPEAKER_01]: Al-Handul-Illahi l-Ladi ahyana, bad-dama-am-a-tana, wa-ilahi an-no-sour.

[SPEAKER_01]: Al-Handul-Illahi, thank you ya Allah for giving me another day, another life. [SPEAKER_01]: After I was dead, the mini death, [SPEAKER_01]: Sleeping is many death and the part I want to focus on that every single morning when I wake up I remind myself I lay him no shore. [SPEAKER_01]: I'm going back to him.

[SPEAKER_01]: I'm going back to him and when I say I'm going back to him what does that mean? [SPEAKER_01]: I'm going to report about every single transaction, every single move, every single word. [SPEAKER_01]: I'm going to report not to any guy that I can hide from, I can lie to, I can get a false witness.

[SPEAKER_01]: I'm reporting to the one who knows what's in my heart more than myself. [SPEAKER_01]: This is who I'm reporting to. [SPEAKER_01]: My brothers and sisters, the question I want you to leave with, if Allah took away some of my dunya. [SPEAKER_01]: gains to moral. [SPEAKER_01]: Would I still feel rich because I have him?

[SPEAKER_01]: Because many people when things are taken away from them instead of rushing and fleeing back to Allah, the first thing they leave Salat, they leave the Mesjid, they leave the Qur'an. [SPEAKER_01]: Instead of the exactly the opposite, because the richest person is not the one who has the most belongings, the richest person, [SPEAKER_01]: He has everything.
