[SPEAKER_02]: Hey, we at Mage Hand High Five really appreciate you joining us on what has been an absolutely incredible adventure. [SPEAKER_02]: So we're going to start putting previews of our episode Talkbacks, or as we call them, Mage Hand Downloads on the main feed for you. [SPEAKER_02]: So here you go.
[SPEAKER_02]: Thank you again for listening and enjoy. [SPEAKER_01]: It's so funny that y'all are like, yeah, fighting Titus. [SPEAKER_01]: I'm like, that's like fighting a sickly Victorian child. [SPEAKER_00]: But he's glad. [SPEAKER_00]: Well, that's the thing is like, it's like fighting with polish on from Princess Bride.
[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, like Titus. [SPEAKER_01]: The thing about Titus is that if he is ever in combat, he has done a bad job because like that's that's not how he wins. [SPEAKER_01]: He wins through like under the table negotiations and things like that. [SPEAKER_01]: And so to be in this fight means that somewhere along the line something fucked up.
[SPEAKER_00]: Casey, I have a very specific request for you, for next episode. [SPEAKER_00]: Can Titus and Wyatt have a Princess bride Battle of Whills? [SPEAKER_00]: Because that sounds like the funniest thing that would ever happen. [SPEAKER_02]: Can it be a three-way one with Barabas? [SPEAKER_03]: Barabas would pull a gun so fast.
[SPEAKER_01]: The Titus is like, hmm, so you think that it's the goblet in front of you, but it could be the goblet in front of me Because I thought about it and whoa, but what if it's actually in front of you and then and then barabba's just Typerious meanwhile looks over and goes Titus, you're kind of keen on those poisons, but [SPEAKER_03]: Because if you remember correctly the other thing that happened this episode is that laying on hands on Tiberius did fix him which means that someone was poisoning that guy.
[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, could be a disease I have honestly thought it was a disease. [SPEAKER_03]: I don't think so. [SPEAKER_03]: I thought it was a kind of natural somebody's poison in this dude [SPEAKER_02]: Uh, well, I, while we were just talking, I remembered that John Patrick Fourths' I was like, a storm is coming and I don't think what we're encountering right now is the storm.
[SPEAKER_02]: I think he knows something else. [SPEAKER_00]: Well, it, so I was just editing this conversation, which is why I know this. [SPEAKER_00]: The storm that he was referring to was the protesters outside. [SPEAKER_03]: Yeah, but I think it's, I, I would say, [SPEAKER_03]: Like Casey told me if I'm wrong here, but I would suggest that it's sort of a combination of both.
[SPEAKER_03]: Like I think what he might be referring to is the fact that like the wins of change or approaching. [SPEAKER_03]: Tiberius is like getting sick, quote unquote, like there is public unrest around the war that like might create the circumstances for a new public mandate of power. [SPEAKER_03]: power is shifting already and there's people trying to fill the vacuum and it seems like because he was in league with Quartois.
[SPEAKER_03]: It's a combination of Quartois trying to vie for a regime change while also recognizing that like the public unrest would probably welcome a regime change from the jamesens. [SPEAKER_03]: Hey, this is not going to answer that. [SPEAKER_00]: No, no, no. [SPEAKER_00]: This very specific question.
[SPEAKER_02]: I mean, makes sense, but also I realized way too late into this fight that I could do absolutely nothing to court to law, because everything I have is fired or like, uh, was radiant. [SPEAKER_02]: Everything is like either that or like a little bit of radiant or AOE and I was just like, well, cool, cool.
[SPEAKER_02]: I guess I'll, [SPEAKER_03]: smack her and deal one d eight damage with my staff some of the a o e stuff might come in handy now that we've got the Now that we've got a lot of the ministers evacuated which never really expected to use common motions, but god damn did it come in handy once Right it's one of those very specific kind of spells that like when you when you need it it comes in real clutch [SPEAKER_01]: I feel like that happens a lot with D&D is you just have these like spells that are so specific to one situation, but in that situation, they just blow everything away.
[SPEAKER_03]: I mean, I think combo motions is one of those spells that like absolutely can be very useful in a lot of use cases, but for me personally like the way that I like to play is often to try to convince people just organically. [SPEAKER_03]: So I don't find myself using a lot of charm spells or anything like that because I like the risk reward of like actually just trying to engage a person without trying to like overpower them.
[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah. [SPEAKER_03]: I get that, but this worked to treat. [SPEAKER_03]: This was a lot of fun. [SPEAKER_03]: Especially in the situation what was like the assassins need to be got rid of, but they can't get killed. [SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, which is um, difficult for spells. [SPEAKER_03]: Cricky.
[SPEAKER_03]: That is tricky. [SPEAKER_03]: And the wall of fire is interesting. [SPEAKER_03]: It kind of reflects like her, the wall of fire and water in twin river last time, but now it's all kind of leveled up. [SPEAKER_03]: Can you tell us about any of [SPEAKER_01]: I mean, I'll tell you what you've encountered so far and that is she, I mean, she has a legendary step lock at this point.
[SPEAKER_01]: Like she's got legendary actions, resistances. [SPEAKER_01]: She's moving between turns, which she's going to do more often in the second phase. [SPEAKER_01]: And I am in phase two, there are going to be moments in which she is manipulating the terrain in ways that [SPEAKER_01]: maybe necessarily don't go straight to spell casting.
[SPEAKER_01]: But because this is sort of counting as like layer actions at this point, she's going to start throwing stuff at you in order to keep you on your toes as you're fighting. [SPEAKER_02]: She's welcome to try. [SPEAKER_03]: What's her whip called again? [SPEAKER_03]: It's got a name now. [SPEAKER_01]: Yes.
[SPEAKER_01]: Her whip is the Flames' Absolution. [SPEAKER_03]: It's all right. [SPEAKER_03]: That's such a weird, like, self-flagulating energy about it. [SPEAKER_03]: It's so good. [UNKNOWN]: Yeah. [UNKNOWN]: Yeah. [SPEAKER_02]: Any chance I can get that whip afterwards? [SPEAKER_01]: Oh, God. [SPEAKER_01]: I never thought about the fact that I really created that one guy from the Da Vinci code.
[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah. [SPEAKER_00]: Speaking about that. [SPEAKER_00]: Yeah. [SPEAKER_00]: He liked the real pale. [SPEAKER_00]: A lot of self-flagulating. [SPEAKER_00]: Warrior form, a very raffle god, do you kind of situation, I don't know, I wouldn't know if I could get that name. [SPEAKER_01]: It's probably, both played by Paul Bettney.
[SPEAKER_03]: It's kind of wild that they did that. [SPEAKER_00]: Cortoelle, Paul Bettney has such range. [SPEAKER_00]: Yeah. [SPEAKER_03]: I am so happy and also, uh, not ready that Belinda's here as well. [SPEAKER_01]: Yeah. [SPEAKER_03]: I am glad that Belinda was there and that, um, Cortois didn't get to completely, like, fuck up Barabas's life with us on being.
[SPEAKER_02]: Oh, that would've been so tough. [SPEAKER_03]: Yeah, that would've been a bad time for them. [SPEAKER_03]: That was a really cool match counter spell and your first Yeah, hell of a counter spell. [SPEAKER_03]: Yeah, I'm trying to save one third-level spell for a revive of a fine case. [SPEAKER_03]: We need it, but having third-level spell slots as I know the redemption paladin like getting both revive of a fine counter spell.
[SPEAKER_03]: It's like, it's very good. [SPEAKER_02]: I will say the one nice thing about not being able to deal any damage to core twice that I haven't used any spells. [SPEAKER_02]: So I have most of my spells lots to revive people if we need it. [SPEAKER_02]: Assuming we level up, I get resurrection at level 7, 7th level spell slot, so...
[SPEAKER_02]: True resurrection. [SPEAKER_02]: True resurrection. [SPEAKER_03]: Just resurrection. [SPEAKER_02]: No, regular resurrection, which gives me [SPEAKER_02]: a year or a hundred years or something like that. [SPEAKER_02]: It's more than enough to revive anybody we need to revive. [SPEAKER_03]: That's cool.
[SPEAKER_02]: But it needs a thousand gold diamond, which the Jamesons still have, you know, a bucket of it. [SPEAKER_03]: We need to figure it out. [SPEAKER_03]: Yeah, yeah, yeah. [SPEAKER_03]: God, Tabitha really kind of devastated me this episode a little bit. [SPEAKER_03]: Scooch. [SPEAKER_03]: Her little scooch was very sweet.
[SPEAKER_03]: I also, I feel, she's like, who I feel bad about, you know what I mean? [SPEAKER_03]: Like, she's the part that feels itky about leaving three in the way that Solomon did. [SPEAKER_03]: I'm like, ah, I don't like, because Tabitha tried. [SPEAKER_02]: I think she clearly cares about him though.
[SPEAKER_03]: Like, I don't know, like the way she does. [SPEAKER_03]: I mean, they love each other. [SPEAKER_03]: Like, that's why it feels itky to like, [SPEAKER_03]: to I feel like guilty is what I mean because she is kind of like she's kind of tried to like be a friend and she obviously cares a lot about her husband and like I don't know like that kids like I feel bad.
