[SPEAKER_00]: I'm Commander Sheppard, and this is my favorite lorecast on the Citadel. [SPEAKER_06]: Welcome to the Mass Effect Lorecast. [SPEAKER_06]: I'm in seven the legend and I'm Genesis. [SPEAKER_06]: Join us as we explore along tides of light and through shows of dust to see where this lore began and consider where it may go.
[SPEAKER_06]: Specters, welcome to an unexpectedly awesome lore driven episode of the Mass Effect Lorcaest. [SPEAKER_06]: I am your host, in seven legend, and joining me as always is my wonderful very zen today Coast Genesis. [SPEAKER_06]: As in as in as in as in as in as in today, I am okay. [SPEAKER_01]: I have gone by Genesis on the which are Lord cast and I am Genesis on Halle Cron history.
[SPEAKER_01]: So if you want to name me, Zenesis, that works. [SPEAKER_06]: As in as in. [SPEAKER_06]: Yeah, there we go. [SPEAKER_06]: That's it's very uh uh sci-fi putting a Z on anything, right? [SPEAKER_01]: A Z or an X, yeah, for sure. [SPEAKER_06]: Yeah. [SPEAKER_06]: All right. [SPEAKER_06]: Well, today we are going to cover another server Stanley News lore arc that we get at this one is so deep that we actually have had to split this into three parts for this arc that we're going to be covering.
[SPEAKER_06]: It is something that a lot of people have requested that we've covered that we cover like since day one, I think. [SPEAKER_06]: And we're finally doing that almost on our fifth anniversary. [SPEAKER_06]: We're about a month away from our 15th anniversary. [SPEAKER_06]: Anyway, we're finally getting to the virtual aliens.
[SPEAKER_06]: That's right. [SPEAKER_06]: All of the people who have like, like, the really, uh, uh, Laura Fishianado, as I guess you could say, of the Mass Effect community. [SPEAKER_06]: I think the virtual aliens is like the most obscure lore topic that actually has a lot of lore behind it that people want to hear more about.
[SPEAKER_06]: And so we have a very decent amount of lore that we can cover and get into this. [SPEAKER_06]: And again, this comes from Cerberus Daily News. [SPEAKER_06]: So, [SPEAKER_06]: Genesis, what do you say? [SPEAKER_06]: I'm going to start us off and I'm going to read the first entry that we get and we can talk about it and then we'll switch over and you can read the next one.
[SPEAKER_01]: Sounds good. [SPEAKER_06]: All right, so the first entry we get is from server-stately news, it was that integrated Lord dumping mechanism that we got in Mass Effect 2. [SPEAKER_06]: And this entry came on August 11, 2010. [SPEAKER_06]: It says, quote, alarm bells rang throughout the salarian system of Antelen yesterday.
[SPEAKER_06]: When an alien ship bearing a strong AI signature triggered fears of a death attack, [SPEAKER_06]: Rhinco Turwin, director of near-orbital security explained, quote, when evidence of powerful AI heuristics was detected on board, our security forces thought it was the vanguard of a death invasion.
[SPEAKER_06]: Okay, let's stop right there. [SPEAKER_06]: That would like send huge alarm bells throughout the entire salarian union. [SPEAKER_01]: Oh yeah. [SPEAKER_01]: I mean, if this ship came near anybody, I think that it would be throwing massive red flags right out the gate because we're not detecting any life forms.
[SPEAKER_01]: It's only AI. [SPEAKER_01]: Oh, yes, something's very, very bad on that ship. [SPEAKER_06]: And to contextualize this, this is, you know, not that long after in the lore, not that long after the Battle of the Citadel. [SPEAKER_06]: So the official [SPEAKER_06]: And so if they are thinking, okay, now we have a possible gap invasion in salarian space, I imagine that these alarm bells are making their way to the Citadel Council immediately.
[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, definitely you are throwing up as many, you're gathering forces, you're trying to, you know, prevent an attack going on and contacting everybody that you can to let them know that another possible gas wave is on its way. [SPEAKER_06]: the only like relative that I can think of this in our own world and our own universe would be like getting a warning that there's an ICBM on the way, you know what I mean?
[SPEAKER_06]: So that would be terrifying. [SPEAKER_06]: However, it looks like things develop quicker than panic can actually spread. [SPEAKER_06]: So, it says here, however, we consulted core-inside scientific advisors who assured us that the signals failed to match any known death signature. [SPEAKER_06]: I'm not sure if that's actually more comforting or less comforting.
[SPEAKER_01]: um it's a little bit of both because okay good it's not the death that's not something the same things that attacked the citadel uh but also oh my gosh it's a completely brand new form of AI and that's also really scary [SPEAKER_06]: Well, whoever these AI are, they're quite lucky that they stumbled upon the Solarians instead of the Turians, because the Turians would definitely shoot first if they thought that it was AI anyway.
[SPEAKER_06]: As opposed to the Solarians who quick thinking, just like them, consulted Korean scientists to try to find out if this was the death. [SPEAKER_06]: Now, according to Turwin, the biggest surprise came next, quote, the ship's intelligence then communicated with us. [SPEAKER_06]: It asked us to calculate the value of pi to the first quadrillion digits.
[SPEAKER_06]: Okay, for some reason, in my mind, this rings a bell that it's a reference to another sci-fi universe, you know, like an AI asking you to calculate the value of pi to ex-digit being a test of your intelligence, a test of your sentience. [SPEAKER_01]: It sounds familiar, but it also plays along the lines of this book series that I've read once where Aliens used zero divided by zero as a warning symbol of avoid it all cost, like stay away from this area.
[SPEAKER_06]: Wasn't that made into a movie that sounds really familiar? [SPEAKER_01]: I don't know. [SPEAKER_01]: I read it in the book. [SPEAKER_06]: Okay. [SPEAKER_06]: All right. [SPEAKER_06]: So, Turwin goes on to say some 20 questions followed after that. [SPEAKER_06]: All of them beyond our realm of expertise.
[SPEAKER_06]: Okay, so there's stumping the the salarians That's the feet on. [SPEAKER_06]: Oh, and unknown AI is stumping the salarians. [SPEAKER_06]: We should all be scared so [SPEAKER_06]: They didn't know the answer to all of those 20 questions. [SPEAKER_06]: And then Turin says, we are currently awaiting advice from outside consultants before proceeding.
[SPEAKER_06]: They're talking to the Turins. [SPEAKER_06]: 100%. [SPEAKER_01]: Maybe calling a crowgain or two, you know. [SPEAKER_01]: Army getting everybody prepared. [SPEAKER_06]: Outside consultants, how much do you want to bet that that was just their code for like, yeah, we contacted the Citadel Council because this shit could really blow up.
[SPEAKER_06]: Um, and they still don't know who they are. [SPEAKER_06]: Turwin says as yet, the ship matches no known alien species. [SPEAKER_01]: So even the ship is completely different. [SPEAKER_01]: We don't recognize this ship format at all. [SPEAKER_06]: Right, my guess, probably no windows, because if it's an AI, it doesn't need windows, right?
[SPEAKER_06]: Just sensors on the outside windows being a structural weakness as Legion puts it right. [SPEAKER_06]: And they probably have a very unusual architecture to their ships. [SPEAKER_06]: Seeing as they don't need life support, [SPEAKER_06]: not really apparently. [SPEAKER_06]: They don't need a lot of the things that other species have.
[SPEAKER_06]: But yet we don't really get a clear description of what the ship looks like. [SPEAKER_01]: It's the board. [SPEAKER_01]: It's just a board cube. [SPEAKER_06]: For some reason, I was just imagining an orb. [SPEAKER_06]: Just a floating orb. [SPEAKER_01]: Okay. [SPEAKER_06]: Yeah. [SPEAKER_01]: Orb is probably more aerodynamic than Rubik's cube.
[SPEAKER_06]: Maybe it's like the little like diamond floating through space. [SPEAKER_06]: That was in the Superman movies, you know? [SPEAKER_06]: Oh, no, it's a Sims Plumbob. [SPEAKER_06]: It's a Plumbob, there we go. [SPEAKER_06]: It's a Plumbob that's like angled directly at their ship, which if I imagine if a Plumbob was thrown or projected fast enough, the quite lethal, because it's quite sharp.
[UNKNOWN]: Yes. [SPEAKER_06]: Yeah. [SPEAKER_06]: All right. [SPEAKER_06]: So, Genesis, where does this go with the, what they're calling an alien ghost ship? [SPEAKER_06]: Where does this go? [SPEAKER_06]: Like, because the salarians could answer any of their questions. [SPEAKER_06]: They're waiting word from a quote unquote outside consultants and no one knows who the hell these these AI are.
[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, so there was a breakthrough today in the case of the mysterious ghost ship in the Antelian system. [SPEAKER_01]: famed Exo Biologist Jordan Deppwiler from MIT's extraterrestrial studies group. [SPEAKER_01]: I want to the ship now, apparently. [SPEAKER_06]: I'm going to see if that's real.
[SPEAKER_06]: Can continue. [SPEAKER_06]: I'm going to Google it. [SPEAKER_01]: Oh, if it's real in the world right now, that would be amazing. [SPEAKER_01]: Deutweiler engaged the ship's AI system, which had been highlighting the craft for an undetermined number of years, and appears to be the sole sentient life form on board.
[SPEAKER_01]: Given previous failed communication attempts, Deutweiler explained how he succeeded. [SPEAKER_01]: in rudimentary terms. [SPEAKER_01]: It was an IQ test. [SPEAKER_01]: The ship's AI was determining that we weren't some band of delared space pirates that we understood things like quantum string theory, emergent systems, and a host of other advanced concepts.
[SPEAKER_06]: Okay, see, this is what I was talking about. [SPEAKER_06]: It was a test. [SPEAKER_06]: So maybe I was like remembering this from previously having learned it before, but I'm fairly certain that this is like, you know, reference to another sci-fi arc, uh, different series of some kind. [SPEAKER_06]: But yeah, very clear the AI was testing us to see maybe if we were like worthy of communicating with.
[SPEAKER_01]: Yes, are we worthy? [SPEAKER_01]: And we are. [SPEAKER_01]: That Wiler says I was able to satisfy its demands and gain access to the interior. [SPEAKER_06]: No, where you did it, Wiler. [SPEAKER_06]: You were able to satisfy them. [SPEAKER_06]: How were you able to satisfy them, Jordan?
[SPEAKER_01]: I need to do more analysis, but I think this is an exo archaeological find of this century. [SPEAKER_01]: I will say that the ship appears to be at least 8,000 years old. [SPEAKER_06]: holy crap 8,000 years um okay so that's not quite in the protein era but i am going to look up the mass effect timeline right now to give us a point of reference for what was going on in the mass effect universe 8,000 years ago uh let's see okay so 8,000 years ago [SPEAKER_06]: the only point of reference is something about the virtual aliens that i'm not going to spoil the the story arc that we're going on here but yeah just says circa six thousand BCE and it is a point of interest about the virtual aliens the only other point of interest around then is uh seven thousand years prior to that the terrains of palaven began to develop civilization
[SPEAKER_06]: and let's see, 40, 100 years after that, to chunk up the Crogon Homeworld Inters its nuclear age. [SPEAKER_06]: So, sometime between when the Turians developed civilization and the Crogans discovered nukes, that's one we're talking about. [SPEAKER_01]: That's such a wide time frame, but yeah, no, I mean, history like that is hard to track, so, okay, so I'm so regular learn more.
[SPEAKER_06]: You're right, yes. [SPEAKER_06]: So basically, we still don't know much about these AI, but we know that they are much older than many of the other races like humanity, right? [SPEAKER_06]: Wow, yeah, 8,000 years old, and we are playing catch up with them. [SPEAKER_06]: So this MIT exobiologists, Jordan Dettwiler, basically, it sounds like this could be amazing for Jordan's career.
[SPEAKER_06]: We get the next entry from server staling news that says the scientific community is a buzz today after the latest report from MIT exobiologist Jordan Dettwiler was filed last night from the antelun system where he's currently investigating a mysterious ghost ship. [SPEAKER_06]: claiming a breakthrough debt while they're right, quote, what I've discovered is nothing short of astonishing.
[SPEAKER_06]: This so-called derelict ship isn't derelict at all. [SPEAKER_06]: It appears that an alien race has downloaded its consciousness to a massive array of quantum computers aboard the vessel. [SPEAKER_06]: It's my belief these aliens now reside entirely in a virtual world and have been there for at least 8,000 years.
[SPEAKER_06]: So it's like a whole race of Mr. House from fallout. [SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, it's intense to think about, you know, downloading your consciousness who a computer and living through that way. [SPEAKER_01]: And so that's why, you know, like a board cube came to mind when thinking about the shape of this ship because to me, you know, computers [SPEAKER_06]: make sense.
[SPEAKER_06]: I'm thinking of the old like tube, tube screen monitors, you know, like remember those, the gateway computers? [SPEAKER_06]: Yeah, I remember those. [SPEAKER_06]: So, um, they have no physical bodies. [SPEAKER_06]: They are purely on some computers aboard this vessel and I wonder how big the vessel is.
[SPEAKER_06]: And they have been in this virtual world for 8,000 years, but somehow also still cognizant enough to recognize their surroundings and when they have made contact with the salarians. [SPEAKER_01]: Not sure if it's the virtual world inhabitants, or if it's the AI that's running the ship. [SPEAKER_06]: Oh, okay.
[SPEAKER_06]: So this is a really important distinction. [SPEAKER_06]: Then you're right. [SPEAKER_06]: Jordan Deadwiler does say the ship's AI is something of a caretaker to these people or even a God depending on how you look at it more importantly, the AI is now requesting our help. [SPEAKER_06]: it says a power failure is imminent and threatens the entire virtual civilization.
[SPEAKER_06]: Okay now that testing makes sense. [SPEAKER_06]: Now the AI, like asking those questions, is basically seeing if if you guys can help us. [SPEAKER_06]: Like we are in dire need of I guess replacing our power supply otherwise there's going to be an entire race of people that dies. [SPEAKER_06]: And I miss part of this server-sailing news entry that says debt-wilder estimates that population of the virtual world is close to 1 billion individuals.
[SPEAKER_06]: I wonder how he was able to deduce this? [SPEAKER_01]: That's unclear about how he was able to gather that information, but now that we know that we are dealing with a billion individuals and this AI is saying we need help in order for these people to survive, for this virtual civilization to live on.
[SPEAKER_06]: I was wondering how exactly they were supporting an entire race of aliens purely virtually. [SPEAKER_06]: That makes sense because like you need some kind of advanced power supply unless the whole thing is covered in solar panels, but even then that's probably not too efficient. [SPEAKER_06]: You probably need far more than that.
[SPEAKER_06]: So I was wondering what exactly they were using for power, my guess is like some kind of [SPEAKER_06]: you know what I mean? [SPEAKER_06]: He's always seems to step in when it's needed. [SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, he's a space magic would definitely make sense or some form of self-regenerating battery maybe traveling through space on its own is causing it to regenerate, you know, very similar to the way that our electric cars work.
[SPEAKER_06]: some kind of heat sink maybe. [SPEAKER_06]: Heat sink recapturing the heat like I think the Norman he does to mask its stealth systems. [SPEAKER_06]: So okay so they are in dire need and they aren't really as threatening as that we may have once perceived them to be at the very beginning of this.
[SPEAKER_01]: Well, yeah, I mean, it's, it's very much within, I don't want to say human nature, but to be suspicious first and then go through with all the questions and everything after that, and you know, like they contacted us first or the contact of the salarians first and very quickly with these outlandish level questions, but one somebody took the time to try and explain.
[SPEAKER_01]: Yes, we understand what question you're asking. [SPEAKER_01]: We just don't have the answers. [SPEAKER_01]: That's far beyond our reach. [SPEAKER_01]: So, that little while I really took that step in order to bridge the communication gap. [SPEAKER_01]: And is now learning more and more.
[SPEAKER_01]: And really brings up this, the fact that the AI is the ship's guide is a very interesting point. [SPEAKER_06]: Absolutely. [SPEAKER_06]: Well, we have a lot more to get to in the arc of at least the second half of this episode. [SPEAKER_06]: Uh, first we need to go over to the mid break.
[SPEAKER_06]: Think our patrons and we got a couple of other things to cover. [SPEAKER_06]: So let's go to the mid break and we will keep this as quick as we can. [SPEAKER_05]: We have beef bacon. [SPEAKER_05]: We have beer. [SPEAKER_05]: The foods of my people. [SPEAKER_02]: Young men have funny ideas of what a star you're like.
[SPEAKER_02]: I blame the extra net, and computer games. [SPEAKER_00]: Rex, Shepherd, Grant, Shepherd, Rex. [SPEAKER_06]: Right. [SPEAKER_06]: All right. [SPEAKER_06]: Here we are in the middle of the show. [SPEAKER_06]: Now this is the part where we read out your five star reviews if you've left them on apple podcasts or wherever you get your podcasts We don't have any new five star reviews that way, but we do have a couple of comments from Spotify on our most recent episode What if the Crogon never fought off the rac nigh [SPEAKER_06]: I have a couple here that I liked, so number one, Robert, Joseph Peters says, a few more what if scenarios to consider, if I may.
[SPEAKER_06]: Number one, what if Anderson stayed on as a counselor during Mass Effect 3? [SPEAKER_06]: Okay, I love that idea. [SPEAKER_06]: What if Kai Lang had been a squadmate in Mass Effect 2? [SPEAKER_06]: fascinating. [SPEAKER_06]: That could have, uh, that could have fleshed out his character a lot more.
[SPEAKER_06]: So he wasn't just in a shallow edge lord in mass victory. [SPEAKER_06]: What if Cerberus had constructed their own crucible instead of relying on hack, it's project. [SPEAKER_06]: terrifying. [SPEAKER_06]: Terrifying idea. [SPEAKER_06]: Um, I have a lot of other thoughts, but maybe we'll get to those if we cover these.
[SPEAKER_06]: Uh, the other two that Robert posts are what if Harbinger had been a boss fight during Priority Earth. [SPEAKER_06]: Awesome. [SPEAKER_06]: I think a lot of people would love that one. [SPEAKER_06]: And what if Randal Inzo, mass from Mass Effect Infiltrator, had been a squad made in Mass Effect 3.
[SPEAKER_06]: This one's a long shot for sure. [SPEAKER_06]: Maybe need a grace and like episode first. [SPEAKER_06]: Looking forward to the next one, you know, we do have to cover Mass Effect Infiltrator at some point. [SPEAKER_06]: That's that old, uh, it's abandoned where at this point, but it was an old mobile game for Mass Effect, uh, it was a companion mobile game for Mass Effect 3, right?
[SPEAKER_06]: Or 2. [SPEAKER_06]: I can't remember. [SPEAKER_01]: Oh, that one I don't know, I wasn't playing the games back then, so I didn't have the companion app, which sucks because I love companion apps. [SPEAKER_06]: Yeah, so this one was, um, there's literally no way to play it now, so you have to like go to a band and wear website, uh, but we will have to get to that at some point.
[SPEAKER_06]: So Robert, love the ideas, we will get to some of those I promise. [SPEAKER_06]: The other one I want to highlight is, uh, Mike Lowry, comments on the, what if the [SPEAKER_06]: But they did. [SPEAKER_06]: Thanks Mike. [SPEAKER_06]: Yeah, we're aware. [SPEAKER_06]: But okay. [SPEAKER_06]: Yeah, that really says it all.
[SPEAKER_06]: Thanks, Mike. [SPEAKER_06]: And if you have any other comments that you guys would like to include, we do keep tabs on our Spotify comments. [SPEAKER_06]: Sometimes they make our day other times they bring up important things that we may have missed an editing, which is always very appreciated because then we can go back into the audio file and fix it for everybody.
[SPEAKER_06]: But yeah. [SPEAKER_06]: I think that's all we have there. [SPEAKER_06]: And Genesis, I did not pick out a voice line for you tonight. [SPEAKER_06]: Actually, was it you who was supposed to quiz me tonight? [SPEAKER_01]: No, I played an actually line for you last week. [SPEAKER_06]: That's right.
[SPEAKER_06]: Okay. [SPEAKER_06]: Well, I am indebted to you. [SPEAKER_06]: And so I will have to do my next week or you can we can just skip mine. [SPEAKER_06]: And if you want to do yours next week, we do that. [SPEAKER_06]: Either way, uh, we don't have any new patrons to shout out, except for we need to shout out our tier 5 patrons, which we do every week.
[SPEAKER_06]: That's butts, butts, butts, unfortunate benefactor, William Superfly 440, Red Trobat, Lieutenant Susino, Tira C, Edboy, and Day. [SPEAKER_06]: Genesis, did I miss anything in the mid-a-break? [SPEAKER_01]: No, but I do have a quick little clip that you could probably easily identify if you wanted to.
[SPEAKER_06]: Okay, let's hear it. [SPEAKER_06]: Mom was right. [SPEAKER_06]: I should have brought a sweater. [SPEAKER_06]: Okay, that's Caden, is that when, is that on jealous, is that, is that if you bring Caden to the mission on jealous and mass-fick three? [SPEAKER_01]: No, it is Mass Effect 1 when you first go to an ovarian.
[SPEAKER_01]: Oh, how old it is. [SPEAKER_06]: Like the only other cold main planet that you have to do. [SPEAKER_06]: All right. [SPEAKER_06]: Well, hey, texture and chat here says I'd give you all five stars for doing this kind of content. [SPEAKER_06]: I did not realize other people were as involved in the lower Mass Effect.
[SPEAKER_06]: Good stuff, guys. [SPEAKER_06]: Well, thank you, texture. [SPEAKER_06]: Uh, yeah. [SPEAKER_06]: When I started this podcast, I was [SPEAKER_06]: Florida by how wide and thorough the love for this series is. [SPEAKER_06]: I thought I was like a lonesome nerd. [SPEAKER_06]: At least among my friend group, I am.
[SPEAKER_06]: Like my IRL friend group from before I started this podcast. [SPEAKER_06]: But okay, that's the end of the mid break. [SPEAKER_06]: So let's get back to the rest of the show. [SPEAKER_03]: After time adrift among open stars, a long tides of light and through shows of dust, I will return to where I began.
[SPEAKER_04]: Celery and reproduction different, very little sex-trade. [SPEAKER_04]: If intended to try human, would try you. [SPEAKER_04]: Ow, my bakeries. [SPEAKER_06]: Okay, here we are in the second half of the show, and we've gotten more virtual aliens to talk about. [SPEAKER_06]: Genesis, what does the next entry from Cerberus daily news tell us?
[SPEAKER_01]: So this one was titled opinions mixed after discovery of the ghost ship virtual civilization. [SPEAKER_01]: So now we get into the opinions on what to do, what how to work with these people. [SPEAKER_06]: Okay, I imagine they, they differ in very greatly between different species because just before the midbrake, you would a great comment that you said about human nature.
[SPEAKER_06]: Like human nature may have been to be apprehensive, but the salarians aren't human, are they? [SPEAKER_06]: And they were inquisitive and they reached out to other experts who may know better, first. [SPEAKER_01]: Uh, okay, opinions were plentiful this week after MIT's Jordan Dettwiler stunned the scientific world when he revealed the existence of a virtual alien civilization, real exciting and a derelict ghost ship.
[SPEAKER_01]: Naran Patelung, a Buddhist scholar at the Center for Religious Studies in Bangkok said, quote, I am struck by the parallels to ancient human beliefs in reincarnation. [SPEAKER_01]: Clearly, life does not end for these aliens when they die. [SPEAKER_01]: Their souls, if you will, simply reinhabit other virtual personalities and continue living.
[SPEAKER_01]: and quote. [SPEAKER_06]: What do you think about this analysis, you know, like an reincarnation to uploading your consciousness from the physical to the digital? [SPEAKER_06]: What do you think about that parallel? [SPEAKER_01]: I really like though I like this idea because it is a way for your consciousness, your being, your your thought processes to forever be recycled, reborn, reused, [SPEAKER_01]: you know, put into, I'm a virtual personality.
[SPEAKER_01]: So I'm guessing in this virtual world, you have some type of physical form, you know, like we would play a VR game. [SPEAKER_01]: And we know that we're playing the game, but we know that we have a form in the game. [SPEAKER_01]: We can reach out and see our own hands. [SPEAKER_01]: And so just to be consistently reincarnated into your next avatar, [SPEAKER_06]: OK, I didn't even think about reincarnation inside the simulation.
[SPEAKER_06]: That's interesting. [SPEAKER_06]: So that's really fascinating. [SPEAKER_06]: I feel like, well, first of all, it's not surprising that server-stately news would reach out to another human for comment, right? [SPEAKER_06]: This clearly a human neuron put along the Buddhist scholar, especially after a human scientist Jordan Deatwiler from MIT had this advancement.
[SPEAKER_06]: So I'm not at all surprised that server-stately news, whoever's putting this together is getting comment specifically from humans. [SPEAKER_06]: But I am kind of surprised that they went the religious route and they reached out to a Buddhist scholar. [SPEAKER_06]: Also, kind of a cool sidebar lore note to make.
[SPEAKER_06]: This is another real world of religion that has now its existence is canonized in the Mass Effect universe. [SPEAKER_01]: mm-hmm. [SPEAKER_01]: So we can add that one. [SPEAKER_01]: I wonder what Buddhist holidays are still being celebrated. [SPEAKER_06]: Actually, correct me if I'm wrong, but I think this is the first time that we have discussed on the Lord cast a non-abrahamic religion being in the Mass Effect universe.
[SPEAKER_06]: So not Judaism, not Christianity, not Islam. [SPEAKER_01]: I think so. [SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, because I think in the holidays those were the ones that were covered. [SPEAKER_06]: I think so. [SPEAKER_06]: So, and in the prior notes about the assassination of the Pope with Cerberus, obviously Catholicism, but yeah, this is interesting.
[SPEAKER_06]: So now we get an Eastern religion, Buddhism, canonized at least in Thailand in the Mass Effect Universe. [SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, so we get another Earth-based commentator. [SPEAKER_01]: Thomas Copeland spokesman for an Earth-based atheist group disagreed, quote, that's true until you pull the plug, then what?
[SPEAKER_01]: All of those souls just wink out? [SPEAKER_01]: That's what? [SPEAKER_01]: those who would latch on to this incident as proof of some higher level of existence are simply projecting their own wishful thinking onto digital noise and poke. [SPEAKER_06]: I don't know if I'm just cynical, but I think like Copeland here has a point.
[SPEAKER_06]: Like, that's kind of how I felt when I was listening to you talk about Neuron petalongs, analysis of reincarnation. [SPEAKER_06]: I was just like, you know, this is all really like woo-woo, shit. [SPEAKER_06]: Um, I don't know if I can really get behind, like, like, the physical reality of this is that without the infrastructure, the computers recreating this digital environment, these people don't exist.
[SPEAKER_06]: So they still do, in a way, have a corporeal form, it's just that form is a computer. [SPEAKER_01]: But they existed before this, and their consciousness is still going on. [SPEAKER_06]: Right, so is that like they're still themselves, right? [SPEAKER_06]: So is that another life or is it the same life and they're just living without their bodies?
[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, that's where I'm going. [SPEAKER_01]: I think that it's still the same life. [SPEAKER_01]: They're just living differently now. [SPEAKER_06]: Right. [SPEAKER_06]: So I don't know. [SPEAKER_06]: I'm kind of with I'm kind of with Copeland here that I think that this is a bit of wishful thinking to say that this is evidence of some kind of super natural afterlife.
[SPEAKER_06]: Like these people created their own afterlife. [SPEAKER_06]: That's what they did. [SPEAKER_06]: It's not like it naturally existed anyway. [SPEAKER_06]: Like like this isn't going to happen for everybody [SPEAKER_01]: That's true. [SPEAKER_01]: That's true. [SPEAKER_01]: It took a very specific set of circumstances in order for them to be going through this.
[SPEAKER_01]: Mr. Patelong, though he replied back with the best comeback, um, one man's noise is another man's music. [SPEAKER_01]: Perhaps in his next life, Mr. Copeland will [SPEAKER_06]: the Buddhist scholar with the epic clap-back, yes, that's, I mean, that sounds good, right that clap-back sounds good, like in terms of linguistics and burn differential like us, but it doesn't really say a lot, just, you know, he's basically just saying, like, well, you think it's noise, you know, he says projector and wishful thinking on a digital voice.
[SPEAKER_06]: You think it's noise. [SPEAKER_06]: But I find it to be music and I'm going to think what I think and maybe in your next life, you will recognize the same thing too. [SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, you're right. [SPEAKER_01]: It is a very good clap back, but that's about it because it's no longer furthering the argument or anything like that.
[SPEAKER_01]: So I get that. [SPEAKER_06]: Yeah, in terms of debate, not a lot weighted there. [SPEAKER_06]: But a good point that they made nonetheless is that even with the debate, no one's changing their ideas. [SPEAKER_06]: No one's changing their opinions of whether or not these people [SPEAKER_06]: you know, represent any kind of higher level of being, right?
[SPEAKER_06]: So no one's changing their beliefs at least among the Earth's religious community. [SPEAKER_06]: But we do get another update. [SPEAKER_06]: This one says, quote, the galaxy remains riveted to the ongoing saga of the AI-driven ghost ship now and danger of perishing because of dwindling energy reserves.
[SPEAKER_06]: Evolutionary biologists have jumped into the fray. [SPEAKER_06]: With one claiming the extinction of the virtual alien race is the natural order of things. [SPEAKER_06]: That's a bit monstrous, doing think. [SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, I don't really like this guy. [SPEAKER_06]: Like, you know that they weren't always virtual aliens, right?
[SPEAKER_06]: Like they probably had bodies at one point. [SPEAKER_06]: And they're still people, but they're living digitally now. [SPEAKER_06]: But I guess he's just saying, like, oh, well, you know, if you go extinct, then I guess you just should have been smarter. [SPEAKER_01]: I mean, that's essentially what his argument is.
[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah. [SPEAKER_06]: This guy, it's like the worst form of the teacher when you're like, excuse me, may I use the restroom? [SPEAKER_06]: They're like, well, why didn't you use it before class? [SPEAKER_06]: Why didn't have to go then? [SPEAKER_06]: What the heck? [SPEAKER_06]: Otherwise, I would have.
[SPEAKER_06]: Why do you think, oh, whatever? [SPEAKER_06]: But you know what I mean? [SPEAKER_06]: Anyway, this guy says, face it. [SPEAKER_06]: Turing and so why am I not surprised at Turing? [SPEAKER_06]: Face it. [SPEAKER_06]: Turing scientist, Elgus, Paramon, argued. [SPEAKER_06]: These aliens were clever.
[SPEAKER_06]: But they weren't clever enough to build it. [SPEAKER_06]: Wow, I called it. [SPEAKER_06]: But they weren't clever enough to build a better battery. [SPEAKER_06]: Okay. [SPEAKER_06]: This guy's so fucking transparent. [SPEAKER_06]: Their lack of foresight is a failure to adapt to changing conditions.
[SPEAKER_06]: Their species represents an evolutionary dead end. [SPEAKER_06]: And their civilization should be allowed to perish. [SPEAKER_06]: Okay, Mr. Parallan. [SPEAKER_06]: Let's reach him for comment during the Reaper invasion. [SPEAKER_06]: Shall we? [SPEAKER_01]: Right. [SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, you should have built, you know, better defenses, why, why can't you keep your your planet safe?
[SPEAKER_06]: Yeah, what's the weather like up on your high horse, Mr. Paramon? [SPEAKER_06]: Good, Lord. [SPEAKER_06]: Everyone has like not everyone, but so many people have this kind of perspective in life until they're in the Mach 2. [SPEAKER_06]: And then all of a sudden, oh no, no, the rules should be different.
[SPEAKER_01]: Oh, yeah, totally. [SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, no, it's not my fault. [SPEAKER_06]: When have you ever seen someone have this perspective? [SPEAKER_06]: When it was about themselves? [SPEAKER_06]: And they were consistent in that ideology like before something happened to them and then during something happening to them.
[SPEAKER_01]: I, you know, I, I should have done so much more to it, you, it's never, I should have done more. [SPEAKER_01]: It's, uh, somebody else should have done more for me, or it's, there was no way for me to possibly prevent this from happening. [SPEAKER_01]: There is no way for me of knowing.
[SPEAKER_06]: Well, the irony is that a lot of people who would take personal responsibility like that and say, like, well, I should have done this and this and this and this and I wouldn't be in this position. [SPEAKER_06]: The irony is a lot of the people who do say that kind of thing are also the first people to extend grace to others because they recognized that they had a fault, like they themselves had a fault and that others could have that same fault too.
[SPEAKER_06]: So anyway, I'm going to get off my soapbox because Mr. Paramount here is kind of pissing me off, but he says, responding that chief exobiologist investigating the ship, Jordan Dettwilers, and Mr. Paramount would have us commit genocide by turning a blind eye to the situation. [SPEAKER_06]: We can save this civilization.
[SPEAKER_06]: The power requirements to preserve their virtual world are manageable. [SPEAKER_06]: The matter is now being referred to the Citadel Council for further consideration. [SPEAKER_06]: Okay, so I want to know exactly what Mr. Debt Wilder means by manageable. [SPEAKER_06]: Like how easy is this?
[SPEAKER_06]: If this is super easy, like, and they can just ship some like power being so over there, why not? [SPEAKER_06]: Like, you know what I mean? [SPEAKER_06]: Like, why, you could save them easily. [SPEAKER_06]: Um, this is also a bit of a trolley problem, isn't it? [SPEAKER_01]: Well, I guess it really just does depend on what type of power they need.
[SPEAKER_01]: You know, Sam, can you spare me a couple of AAA batteries? [SPEAKER_01]: Is one thing, or can I borrow your backup generator to your entire house during a snowstorm? [SPEAKER_01]: that's something completely different. [SPEAKER_01]: So it really is a you've got it and especially if they bring it to the council of weighing out the how much stress is this going to put on our own resources is this something that we can provide who and where are these batteries, these power, this what they require going to come from.
[SPEAKER_01]: You know, if individuals are trying to provide it out of their own or should this be government subsidized, should it be something that all races are involved in? [SPEAKER_01]: We just don't know that yet in the lore of what type of power they're requesting. [SPEAKER_06]: And that said, they did kind of show up at the perfect time.
[SPEAKER_06]: Like, they showed up at the perfect time in the Mass Effect trilogy timeline, because they showed up after the Battle of Citadel, but before the Reaper invasion started. [SPEAKER_01]: Right. [SPEAKER_06]: So this is kind of like the like, you know, obviously there's going to be some anti-AI sentiment because of the battle of the Citadel.
[SPEAKER_06]: However, the galaxy is not stressed with resources the same way they are, you know, like a year or two after that. [SPEAKER_06]: So they should up in my opinion at the [SPEAKER_06]: That said, um, the ethics of this is really interesting to me because on one hand, you have parammon here saying that they don't deserve to be saved, uh, whereas you have debt while they're saying that by not saving them, we are actively committing genocide.
[SPEAKER_06]: Now, I think that's an interesting point to make. [SPEAKER_06]: So if you have the power to save somebody [SPEAKER_06]: But the doom is not you're doing. [SPEAKER_06]: It's just a natural thing that is happening without you, but you have the power to save them. [SPEAKER_06]: If you do not save them, have you killed them.
[SPEAKER_06]: Yes. [SPEAKER_06]: Not everyone's going to agree with that, because a lot of people will say, well, no, I actively did not kill them. [SPEAKER_06]: I just did not save them. [SPEAKER_06]: And there are people that will make that argument to make that distinction, right? [SPEAKER_06]: Because now we're talking about what ethically, like this is getting into a whole deep thing about ethics, but basically, do your actions and the consequences from your actions, are they inextricable [SPEAKER_06]: from the consequences of the opposite action, if that makes sense.
[SPEAKER_01]: Yes, yeah, what you're saying makes sense, but I'm not okay. [SPEAKER_01]: So I'm bringing it down to like an individual level. [SPEAKER_01]: If I saw you crossing the street and I noticed that the bus was coming, okay? [SPEAKER_01]: The bus is about to hit somebody and I have the ability, the time, the capability to completely stop you from walking out into the street.
[SPEAKER_01]: I could either save your life or let you die. [SPEAKER_06]: So, well, listen, what you just said, let me die. [SPEAKER_06]: That's different, isn't that different from killing me? [SPEAKER_06]: Hmm, so okay. [SPEAKER_06]: Because now we also have to think about like, if it's not, right, should you be held legally responsible for my death if you didn't say anything?
[SPEAKER_06]: I don't think so. [SPEAKER_06]: You're not obligated to do that, right? [SPEAKER_06]: So, you know, that would have been the right thing to do, but to hold someone legally responsible for inaction when their actions aren't what killed the person, I think that would not be justice, what it.
[SPEAKER_01]: Okay, okay, I see your point on that, especially with the terminology of having us commit genocide by turning a blind eye to the situation, that wording of it. [SPEAKER_01]: I still believe that if we have the capability as a galactic race, you save these species, we should. [SPEAKER_01]: But I think that's just- And I agree as well.
[SPEAKER_06]: However, I'm making the ethical distinction as opposed to the moral one. [SPEAKER_06]: Jordan Deweller is a little being a little bit of a politician here, saying that Mr. Perron would have us commit genocide. [SPEAKER_06]: I can guarantee you, Mr. Perron would retort and say, I'm not the one committing genocide.
[SPEAKER_06]: they are going to die because of their own faults. [SPEAKER_06]: That's what Mr. Parallan is, and as Calus and it fucked up as Mr. Parallan is being in saying such, he is not totally wrong. [SPEAKER_06]: And I do think that like, morally, obviously the galaxy, if they can save them, they should.
[SPEAKER_06]: But is it the same thing as committing genocide by turning the blind die? [SPEAKER_01]: So not genocide, but negligent homicide. [SPEAKER_06]: On a mass scale. [SPEAKER_06]: I'm still saying that it's definitely wrong. [SPEAKER_06]: However, the terminology that debt-wilders using is kind of interesting here, that they would have as commit genocide, we can save this civilization.
[SPEAKER_06]: And I don't want anyone to like misinterpret what I'm saying. [SPEAKER_06]: It's still really fucked up if you let them die. [SPEAKER_06]: Like that's super fucked up. [SPEAKER_06]: But it is an interesting dichotomy of rights and obligations and ethics and all this other stuff that you could get from a college ethics course.
[SPEAKER_06]: Anyway, Genesis, where does this take us in the next entry from [SPEAKER_01]: Well, just like how we could continue to discuss this, so is the council and all the other races, because they are still no decision yet. [SPEAKER_01]: With time running out, no decision has yet been reached in the case of the alien ghost ship, found drifting in salarian space.
[SPEAKER_01]: Exobiologists Jordan that while her estimates the energy reserves currently powering the virtual alien world are down to 4% and will fail soon. [SPEAKER_06]: You know that panic you feel when you're out and about and your phones on 4%. [SPEAKER_01]: Right, get me to my car, I need my charger.
[SPEAKER_06]: Imagine that, but like a thousand fold because if it gets to zero you're going to die. [SPEAKER_01]: Yeah. [SPEAKER_01]: Yeah. [SPEAKER_01]: Oh, no. [SPEAKER_01]: My phone dies. [SPEAKER_01]: That means I died. [SPEAKER_01]: That's a bad day. [SPEAKER_01]: But meanwhile, opportunistic explorers boarded the ship last night and managed to hack into the virtual civilization.
[SPEAKER_01]: Oh, shit. [SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, we got hackers on board now. [SPEAKER_01]: Now before they were caught, the hackers spent six hours interface with the ship's computers. [SPEAKER_06]: Okay, for some, I got to stop right there because I'm getting the image of Bender on Futurama, interfacing with FIMP-UTER.
[SPEAKER_06]: Yep. [SPEAKER_06]: So what exactly are these hackers doing to the people's in the computer? [SPEAKER_01]: Oh, um, in cyberpunk when you interface with the computer, it's called Jacking In. [SPEAKER_06]: I'll just leave this as opposed to. [SPEAKER_01]: Now, okay, so these hackers were interface for six hours and in that relatively short period of time, it appears that some 180 years passed within the virtual world.
[SPEAKER_06]: Wow, that would suck you up when you came back out. [SPEAKER_01]: Uh, yeah, and it did, because both hackers are currently in deep commas, and doctors are unsure as to their recovery. [SPEAKER_06]: Kind of deserved, you know, you know, Mr. Paramount wants to talk about deserved. [SPEAKER_06]: This was deserved, I think.
[SPEAKER_01]: The greed, I mean, because Jordan went on and was talking and interacting with the ship's AI in order to gather information, these people intentionally went in there to hack, to illegally break in, to interface with the, with the VI world. [SPEAKER_01]: I mean, I get it, all guns, all glory, let's go for it, to get that new experience, but there are consequences to that.
[SPEAKER_01]: Ed, the doctors did go on to say that, quote, the interface was too much for their systems to absorb. [SPEAKER_01]: Trying to reconnect their minds to their bodies after being, quote, away for so long mentally, was too large of a shock. [SPEAKER_01]: Basically, they're fine, but I'd wager scrambled eggs, have more consciousness.
[SPEAKER_06]: Oh wow, um, that's a terrifying thought that they're basically on life support, um, however, this is like way worse than just a breaking and entering, right? [SPEAKER_06]: This is way worse than someone barging into your house. [SPEAKER_06]: This is if someone barged into your brain. [SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, I barged into your brain.
[SPEAKER_01]: They created their own avatar. [SPEAKER_01]: They lived among your people for 180 years, and then disappeared. [SPEAKER_06]: Yeah, if another alien race did this to us, like would we feel bad if those individuals went into commas after they left? [SPEAKER_06]: No, absolutely not. [SPEAKER_06]: Like, who here believes in reptilians and would you feel bad if said reptilians went into a coma after they stopped pretending to be human?
[SPEAKER_01]: Oh gosh, bringing in the reptilians, okay, yet no, it's a very much as along the same lines of that. [SPEAKER_01]: And I now, this is kind of got me wondering, you know, because we see a little bit of this because shepherd interfaces with the geth and goes into the geth hive mind. [SPEAKER_01]: And we are able to do that and successfully come back in and out.
[SPEAKER_01]: And so [SPEAKER_01]: the correct pathway, being invited into the virtual world. [SPEAKER_01]: Maybe they would have been, you know, here, spend 10, 15 minutes that might be two or three years, or probably more than that. [SPEAKER_01]: If it's six hours as 180 years, I can't do that math for the time breakdown.
[SPEAKER_01]: But spend this very, very limited amount of real-world time in the system, you'll be able to re-incarberate yourself [SPEAKER_01]: and to experience it that way. [SPEAKER_01]: I wonder if we will get to see in the lore somebody who's able to successfully do that. [SPEAKER_06]: So I was curious, what exactly is the time differential there, right?
[SPEAKER_06]: So I'm going to ask Google to calculate what is 180 years divided by six hours, right? [SPEAKER_06]: Is that right? [SPEAKER_06]: But divided by six hours, wow, okay. [SPEAKER_06]: So every second that you're in there would be, you have to multiply it by 262,974. [SPEAKER_06]: That's the differential, that's the ratio.
[SPEAKER_06]: that's yeah that's intense so this little maneuver is going to cost us eighty years pretty much so wow that's okay that also makes me wonder how old are the individuals in there [SPEAKER_01]: Well, if you think that they've been traveling for eight thousand years, how long they've been living in their virtual reality, these are millions of years old.
[SPEAKER_06]: Right, right exactly. [SPEAKER_06]: So that's what I was saying with like, if it's eight thousand years in our own time, [SPEAKER_06]: Is that, do we just take that factor from before and multiply by 8,000? [SPEAKER_06]: Excuse me. [SPEAKER_06]: Is that right? [SPEAKER_06]: Because that would be 2.1 billion years.
[SPEAKER_06]: I'm pretty sure. [SPEAKER_06]: Okay, I'm not a mathematician, and my trade is not a math or a statistic. [SPEAKER_01]: I don't do math after I clock out, so, you know, I will work on this math problem after the show, and I'll come back next week and let you know what the final results are.
[SPEAKER_06]: I feel like, you know, yeah, if there's been 8,000 years in our own time, you multiply it by the factor. [SPEAKER_06]: You get 2.1 billion years. [SPEAKER_06]: So it's been 2.1 billion years inside that simulation for those people. [SPEAKER_06]: Are there generations that pass like, do they procreate?
[SPEAKER_01]: That's a great question because we don't know if they start it off with 1 billion mines and that was just the set that's all that's going to be happening and then, you know, like what Pat Long says are these people just reincarnating or are there more lives being born or any of these lives dying out?
[SPEAKER_01]: It's a really, really great thought to try and to try and figure out. [SPEAKER_06]: If it's the same individuals and they've been alive all this time for them, there might be a sizable chunk of those people who want to die. [SPEAKER_06]: Like that long, you know, I don't think mortals depending on what their natural life spans were.
[SPEAKER_06]: I don't think these mortals really were meant to live that long. [SPEAKER_06]: Um, and, you know, there's a bunch of sci-fi movies that get into this kind of thing, like, um, by Centennial Man as a great one. [SPEAKER_06]: Um, and there was a couple of others that I was thinking of. [SPEAKER_06]: They, they were escaping now, but, um, [SPEAKER_06]: man.
[SPEAKER_06]: This is a really interesting kind of dynamic that's taking place. [SPEAKER_06]: I can't wait to get into more of this in part two and three, but that is all the time we have for today's episode. [SPEAKER_06]: Genesis any final thoughts? [SPEAKER_01]: on your whole like being alive for that long I'm going to take a little bit of vampiric lore and say that there are in in some lures that the vampire can go to sleep go underground they the on-wheel-life just sets too hard and they need a mental reset so they'll go to sleep for two three hundred years [SPEAKER_01]: and then come back into a new world, a new life experience.
[SPEAKER_01]: So it's possible that these VIs are doing that also. [SPEAKER_06]: That would be a smart way to conserve power too. [SPEAKER_06]: So all right, I guess we'll find out next week. [SPEAKER_06]: What are you going on and how can people get a hold of you until then? [SPEAKER_01]: Yes, you can hit me up on the discord.
[SPEAKER_01]: Go ahead and tag me as of right now. [SPEAKER_01]: My discord is still working. [SPEAKER_01]: I'm not required to verify my age yet. [SPEAKER_01]: Once that happens, we'll see if I remain on discord. [SPEAKER_01]: You can also catch me on my other two shows. [SPEAKER_01]: The two girls, one ship podcast where we analyze right and review all that the world of video game romances has to offer.
[SPEAKER_01]: And the cyberpunk lore cast where [SPEAKER_01]: Were we explore the foundations of the past? [SPEAKER_01]: The state of Night City today and the news of the future for all things cyberpunk. [SPEAKER_01]: I looked in the corner of my screen and saw a jack and it was about to do my mass effect plug and I was like, nope, that's not right.
[SPEAKER_06]: Jack, plug, all right guys, you heard it go jack in to the cyberpunk lorecast. [SPEAKER_06]: How about I record an audio of myself saying that and you can play it every week? [SPEAKER_06]: Ha ha ha ha. [SPEAKER_06]: All right, tombs, it's time to jack in. [SPEAKER_06]: I prefer you don't actually, all right.
[SPEAKER_06]: Well, I have actually been streaming very sporadically, but been streaming when I can. [SPEAKER_06]: I downloaded Fallout New Vegas and Fallout 3 and I downloaded [SPEAKER_06]: It combines both Fallout 3 and New Vegas into the same game, so I'm using the same character to play both, traveling back and forth, between the DC and Mojave wasteland.
[SPEAKER_06]: And it's been really fun and modernized as the graphics, some of the mechanics as well. [SPEAKER_06]: It's very hardcore, survival mode-esque, so it's challenging. [SPEAKER_06]: I'm constantly getting my legs broken. [SPEAKER_06]: and that I can't really move. [SPEAKER_06]: So, yeah, it's been pretty challenging, but I think it's pretty fun and it's pretty fun to stream.
[SPEAKER_06]: So go ahead and follow me at Twitch at in seven a legend. [SPEAKER_06]: If that's your jam, I was thinking about possibly streaming it tonight. [SPEAKER_06]: My son is sick. [SPEAKER_06]: So I gotta go after we're done recording or I gotta go check and make sure he doesn't need me. [SPEAKER_06]: But I'm probably gonna be streaming that at least once a week.
[SPEAKER_06]: For two hours when I can, I'm like, I don't know why, I'm like, I've got a big fallout kick right now. [SPEAKER_06]: I'm kind of big enough to fall out. [SPEAKER_06]: It was like Elder Scrolls with me a month ago. [SPEAKER_06]: Our two months ago, now it's fallout. [SPEAKER_06]: I'm actually wearing an oblivion sweater right now.
[SPEAKER_06]: And I've gotten another sweater from the same manufacturer. [SPEAKER_06]: It says Galaxy News radio on it and it's a radio tower. [SPEAKER_06]: And it has it in the fallout font. [SPEAKER_06]: And it's a blue sweater with yellow font. [SPEAKER_06]: And for those of you who have never seen me, I look like Valt Boy.
[SPEAKER_06]: So that's the advent benefit. [SPEAKER_06]: And I just adopted a German shepherd who his name is Aegon, but I call him dog meat. [SPEAKER_06]: And he's been my co- my co-star for the streams. [SPEAKER_06]: I have a dog cam. [SPEAKER_06]: He's actually laying on the bed right beside me. [SPEAKER_06]: So if I were to pan the camera over you guys would see him, but if you want to see a gun aka dog meat and vault boy playing fallout Then go ahead and follow me Or you can interact with me on discord for as long as I'll be there because if they pull that big brother bullshit, I'm out as well But yeah until next time specters, I guess we should go take care [SPEAKER_06]: Thanks for listening to the Mass Effect War test.
[SPEAKER_06]: Reach out to us on Blue Sky, Twitter, Discord, Patreon, or email us at Mass EffectLoreCast at gmail.com. [SPEAKER_01]: Join us next week for more lore, same space, same time. [SPEAKER_01]: We'll check out our live streams at twitch.tv slash Mass Effect WarCast.
