[SPEAKER_08]: I'm Commander Sheppard, and this is my favorite lorecast on the Citadel. [SPEAKER_02]: Welcome to the Mass Effect lorecast. [SPEAKER_02]: I'm in seven the legend. [SPEAKER_11]: And I'm Genesis, join us. [SPEAKER_02]: As we explore along tides of light and through the shoals of dust to see where this lore began.
[SPEAKER_11]: And consider where it may go. [SPEAKER_02]: Specters welcome to an exciting patron chat episode of the mass-fek lore cast I'm your host in seven legend and joining me as always is my wonderful co-host Genesis And Genesis you just made a who's line is it any way joke in the chat? [SPEAKER_11]: That idea, this is the game show where no one wins and the points don't matter.
[SPEAKER_02]: Hey, we know what that reminds me. [SPEAKER_02]: We do need to do another lore trivia night. [SPEAKER_02]: But that's not tonight. [SPEAKER_02]: Maybe we'll plan that with the patrons for another night. [SPEAKER_02]: Tonight, we're talking about other media recommendations. [SPEAKER_02]: So I think the way that Karina, you brought this up, [SPEAKER_02]: recommend other media to other mass-fact fans, you know, if you like mass-fact, you'd also like blank.
[SPEAKER_06]: So, it's literally a red trobat. [SPEAKER_02]: Oh, it was red trobat. [SPEAKER_02]: Did I flip you guys? [SPEAKER_02]: Okay. [SPEAKER_02]: I am, I'm going to blame that on tired, uh, dad brain. [SPEAKER_02]: Uh, so red trobat, you brought this up. [SPEAKER_02]: And I want to let you go [SPEAKER_02]: Recommendations and I'm sure that there was some kind of catalyst you could call it for this idea in your brain You know, you must have been watching something else or playing something else and thought you know This is pretty similar to Mass Effect Oh first of all the idea just came from I was watching Netflix and that looks does that thing where you finish what you're watching [SPEAKER_04]: That's like thumbs up comes down and it's like, if you like this, you'd like this other stuff.
[SPEAKER_04]: But I was last month, I was just only in gross and plain kingdom come deliverance to. [SPEAKER_04]: Uh, and that game series has a lot in common with Mass Effect, especially with, like, dialogue heavy. [SPEAKER_02]: Okay. [SPEAKER_02]: You're going to have to walk me through that one, because Kingdom come deliverance is pretty hard to medieval kind of fantasy, right?
[SPEAKER_02]: So how is that similar to, you know, Mass Effect, which at least started off as hard side-fi? [SPEAKER_04]: Well, it is a different genre. [SPEAKER_04]: But it is also a game that is heavily involved with dialogue choices and making dialogue choices similar to Paragon Renegade. [SPEAKER_04]: You have a lot of different ways.
[SPEAKER_04]: You can deal with situations. [SPEAKER_04]: I would buy like to straight up framing people to being diplomatic to all these different skills. [SPEAKER_04]: So it's very similar in that sense. [SPEAKER_02]: So pretty integral role play mechanics there at then. [SPEAKER_02]: That was something Genesis that I really limited as Mass Effect kind of progressed.
[SPEAKER_02]: It seemed like they trimmed down on the role play mechanics in favor of faster-paced cinematic action kind of storytelling. [SPEAKER_02]: Which, you know, [SPEAKER_02]: It is what it is, but I always felt like Mass Effect 1 was really heavy on the roleplay mechanics, to the point where the gameplay took a backseat.
[SPEAKER_11]: I agree with that. [SPEAKER_11]: You definitely, even though I think the interrupt system hadn't been implemented in Mass Effect 1, there seemed to be a lot more dialogue choices that were you had to have a high enough Renegade or Paragon score in order to get them. [SPEAKER_11]: But then there was also just a way that you could [SPEAKER_11]: play your shepherd a little bit more, not necessarily having the the marker be red or blue in itself, but even just the way that you would speak the way that you would respond had a much wider variety than we got in same as effect three.
[SPEAKER_02]: which is crazy because by mass, so there's two things, massfic three, they had to bring a bunch of arcs together, right, and they needed to tie up loose stories. [SPEAKER_02]: Whether or not they succeeded in all of those is debatable. [SPEAKER_02]: But that's one part. [SPEAKER_02]: The other part is that we learned from voice actors, [SPEAKER_02]: that for at least for Shepard's role, they were given the direction to be more flat in Mass Effect One.
[SPEAKER_02]: And then as the as the series progressed, they were kind of given more liberty to get more intense. [SPEAKER_11]: Yes, because when you're playing somebody who's so choice-dependent and how the player interprets those lines, you can't always be saying a line with a really upbeat, perky tone of voice, because then that's going to make, I'm going to stab you in the face sound really disingenuous.
[SPEAKER_11]: But if you say those words, and especially with different tone, [SPEAKER_11]: is very different than I got the money or I got the money. [SPEAKER_11]: I got the money. [SPEAKER_11]: I got the money. [SPEAKER_11]: You say that one sentence in so many different ways in each one has a different tone, a different way they're going to interpret that.
[SPEAKER_11]: As the voice actors you had to deliver them all a little bit flattery so that way the player could interpret it. [SPEAKER_02]: Right and the continuity line to line, right? [SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, and and like with what you said, especially with like that line in Mass Effect to the dirty Harry reference, you know what I'm talking about.
[SPEAKER_02]: Can you imagine that they delivered it like like, um, I'll relinquish one bullet. [SPEAKER_02]: Where do you want it? [SPEAKER_10]: Oh, yeah, I think he's me. [SPEAKER_10]: Where do you want it? [SPEAKER_02]: Sure, sure. [SPEAKER_02]: It will be like, uh, [SPEAKER_02]: Let's talk later.
[SPEAKER_02]: So anyway, that's besides the point. [SPEAKER_02]: So role play mechanics. [SPEAKER_02]: I want to open this up to both of our other patrons who are here with us, Karina and Dave. [SPEAKER_02]: What do you guys think? [SPEAKER_02]: And you can just chime in whenever, what do you think in terms of the role play mechanic similarities between kingdom come deliverance and mass effect?
[SPEAKER_02]: And if you haven't played it, then just go ahead and tell me if you would be interested in playing it [SPEAKER_06]: Well, like you said, Sam, it's maybe not the same universe. [SPEAKER_06]: I haven't played this game, but I know it's a little bit more in the middle of all sides, but I really liked the gameplay mechanic from Mass Effect.
[SPEAKER_06]: So yeah, I would totally try Kingdom Come. [SPEAKER_06]: I'm not a... [SPEAKER_06]: I'm not very good in RPGs, pure RPGs in general. [SPEAKER_06]: I like the action side of RPGs, so I don't know if Kingdom comes something like that, but yeah, I would like to try it and I also heard that it was really, it was a little bit [SPEAKER_06]: I don't know if I have the right game, but I think you need to be drunk and sleep to save or something like that.
[SPEAKER_06]: Is that the right game? [SPEAKER_02]: I don't know, Retrobot. [SPEAKER_02]: Is that, does it have a unique save mechanic? [SPEAKER_04]: That is one of the save mechanics. [SPEAKER_04]: You can save by either sleeping in a bed that you rent or own or by drinking savior shops. [SPEAKER_04]: which is a item that you have to brew yourself.
[SPEAKER_04]: That's not like Skyrim Alchemy where you just having greens, you actually have to measure out the ingredients, cook them and stir them and distill your own say. [SPEAKER_02]: Making moonshine. [SPEAKER_02]: Nice. [SPEAKER_02]: All right, that sounds pretty fun. [SPEAKER_02]: How about the dialogue choices?
[SPEAKER_02]: The specific choices in the game. [SPEAKER_02]: Are they, you know, um, [SPEAKER_02]: Are they designing? [SPEAKER_02]: Are they quirky? [SPEAKER_02]: Are they really, you know, straightforward? [SPEAKER_02]: Tell me about what the tone is in the game. [SPEAKER_04]: That really depends on how you play your Henry.
[SPEAKER_04]: Because there is a lot of comedic elements and it has, I'd say it has a very similar comedy style of Mass Effect, but you can like, invest your time into upgrading your ability to lie to people. [SPEAKER_04]: like if they catch you for dead body, you can be like, I didn't kill him. [SPEAKER_04]: I'm this man's position, and you interrupting me, kill them, so you're responsible.
[SPEAKER_02]: Just gaslight the shit out of the guards, nice. [SPEAKER_02]: Genesis, I saw you snickering. [SPEAKER_11]: It's just the way that he said, the way you play your handring. [SPEAKER_11]: I don't know. [SPEAKER_11]: It just sounded funny to me. [SPEAKER_02]: Typically, I don't really talk about how I play my handring, but it's...
[SPEAKER_02]: That's just me. [SPEAKER_02]: Day, have you ever played Kingdom Come Deliverance? [SPEAKER_02]: And if you have, maybe you can tell me a little bit about why you think it may or may not be similar to Mass Effect. [SPEAKER_02]: And if you haven't, would you be interested in playing it? [SPEAKER_03]: I haven't played two, but I did play a couple hours of the first one.
[SPEAKER_03]: And like when he's saying it's hardcore RPG, it is. [SPEAKER_03]: Some questions you pick up, time passes, and you might not be able to complete them. [SPEAKER_03]: or they might just fail. [SPEAKER_03]: So you watch out for that. [SPEAKER_03]: You got to be careful of what you're doing because the days pass.
[SPEAKER_03]: I'm kind of looking forward to too. [SPEAKER_03]: I've just got to be in the mood for fantasy right now because I've been like even though it's like medieval historical fiction [SPEAKER_03]: Yeah, well, I get it. [SPEAKER_03]: Yeah, I see what he's saying. [SPEAKER_03]: I get what I understand what he's like connecting with this game and Mass Effect.
[SPEAKER_03]: All right, some of the other things side, because the dialogue choices, you have a bereft option, you know, a whole sweet couple. [SPEAKER_02]: So it sounds like basically, if you like Mass Effect, [SPEAKER_02]: And D&D, you will almost certainly like kingdom come deliverance, too. [SPEAKER_03]: Or with your, with your, or the Witcher.
[SPEAKER_02]: All right, that's, that's a good, uh, good summation. [SPEAKER_02]: I think of what people should expect. [SPEAKER_02]: Maybe if they're trying out kingdom come deliverance, too. [SPEAKER_02]: I actually haven't played it. [SPEAKER_02]: I got to demo it at Pax West. [SPEAKER_02]: I want to say it was one, two years ago.
[SPEAKER_02]: That was two years ago. [SPEAKER_02]: Um, and that was pretty fun, but I only got like 20 minutes to play it. [SPEAKER_02]: I think, if that. [SPEAKER_02]: So I didn't really get it. [SPEAKER_02]: I remember like the demo stopped right as I was swinging my sword to like hit the first enemy, and I was like, okay, cool.
[SPEAKER_02]: But I will check it out for sure, and I'd love to hear from everyone else, if they're listening to this show, then they're probably a fan of Mass Effect, then let me know what you think of Kingdom Come Deliverance too. [SPEAKER_02]: But, alright, Karina, what other media do you think that fellow Mass Effect fans should watch or play or consume in any way?
[SPEAKER_06]: Um, I think, um, already talked about it on the show on the Mass Effect lower cast. [SPEAKER_06]: Um, I want to talk about the expense. [SPEAKER_06]: Oh, yeah. [SPEAKER_06]: Yep. [SPEAKER_06]: If you're into Mass Effect, I, [SPEAKER_06]: I think there's a really good chance that the expense will hit the same nerve for you.
[SPEAKER_06]: The expense is a TV series based on a set of novels. [SPEAKER_06]: I have read like one or two of the novels, but I mostly watched the TV show. [SPEAKER_06]: there's like a humanity as spread across the solar system and that creates all of these new cultures and new conflicts and a whole lot of power struggles very like Citadel politics but with Earth.
[SPEAKER_06]: Mars and the Belk instead of alien species, so it has the same mix of political tension, moral, gray zones and big space exploration energy like Mass Effect. [SPEAKER_06]: But honestly, what really sold it for me, it's that in the show, you follow a small group of people who don't always get along but who slowly become like family.
[SPEAKER_06]: It's not the norm in thee, but it's like it scratches the same itch, and you know that feeling of being part of a team that grows together through impossible situations like in Massivex, so I really think the expense is worth your time. [SPEAKER_02]: Okay, that's, that's an interesting parallel.
[SPEAKER_02]: So, so it's not the expanses, so heavy on like the heroes journey kind of archetype of story, but more of like the ensemble, as I was saying, like the crew altogether, the team, if you will. [SPEAKER_06]: Yeah, exactly. [SPEAKER_06]: And you meet a lot of people in the show, and you know, it's, [SPEAKER_06]: there's some drama, there's really conflicts and some people you think you know what kind of people they are, but you try to understand them and you learn to know them and it's really it goes somewhere that you don't think it will go.
[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah. [SPEAKER_02]: So, uh, I want to open this up for anyone else among you three Genesis Day, Retrobot. [SPEAKER_02]: Have any of you watched the expanse? [SPEAKER_02]: Um, I haven't yet. [SPEAKER_02]: It's on my list, uh, but like many shows on my list. [SPEAKER_02]: They're sitting there waiting for a long time.
[SPEAKER_11]: same. [SPEAKER_11]: I have not watched it yet either. [SPEAKER_11]: It's definitely been recommended to me and I think maybe I can bump that up on the list. [SPEAKER_11]: I'm watching a medical drama right now. [SPEAKER_11]: So once I get through that, maybe I'll start watching the expense.
[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, the expense is definitely the most recommended piece of media to me when I tell people that I like Mass Effect. [SPEAKER_02]: So, Ridge Robot or Day, have either of you watch the expanse and if you haven't yet, you know, is it your kind of TV show or do you think that maybe a story like Mass Effect is better told through video game?
[SPEAKER_04]: I haven't watched the show, but I have played the video game, so I don't know how much video games like the show. [SPEAKER_04]: But I didn't enjoy it and I felt like it did have a lot of similar style to Mass Effect. [SPEAKER_04]: Like all the spacesuits look like something that would have come from Mass Effect.
[SPEAKER_02]: There's probably a lot of cross inspiration there. [SPEAKER_02]: And speaking of TV shows, I wanted to ask Karina Mass Effect, obviously has this TV show in development, who knows when it's coming out. [SPEAKER_02]: What cues do you think the Mass Effect TV show runners should take from the expense?
[SPEAKER_06]: the TV show that critically and I'm doing show yeah and I was like oh my god I hope Mass Effect TV show will not be that way it was a little bit immature [SPEAKER_06]: You know, so it didn't make sense for me, so in the expanse, like I said, you think you know where it will go, but it's not like I don't know the term in English cheesy.
[SPEAKER_06]: You know, it's really grounded. [SPEAKER_06]: people die, it's not like in the halo where it was something like magical or there was like a magical solution for everything. [SPEAKER_06]: I don't know if you understand what I mean. [SPEAKER_06]: Sure. [SPEAKER_06]: I really think the expenses is a great example of what to do with a sci-fi [SPEAKER_06]: Maybe because there's a little bit of an element of not magic in the expanse, but [SPEAKER_06]: It's sci-fi.
[SPEAKER_06]: You know, so there's an element where it's not grounded in something and the present right now. [SPEAKER_06]: It's in the future. [SPEAKER_06]: So you have some elements of mystery, but it's not it's not magic. [SPEAKER_06]: You know, so sure. [SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, it's it's it's less Star Wars more Star Trek.
[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah. [SPEAKER_06]: Yeah. [SPEAKER_06]: Yeah. [SPEAKER_02]: Gotcha. [SPEAKER_02]: All right. [SPEAKER_02]: Well, um, any final thoughts on the expanse before I know we need to hop over to the mid break? [SPEAKER_03]: Uh, yeah. [SPEAKER_03]: I've not seen the show personally. [SPEAKER_03]: I don't know that the book series is out there too, but I am very much looking forward to the Owlcat game, uh, the expanse of Cyrus for born.
[SPEAKER_03]: It looks to be, uh, I don't want to say massive [SPEAKER_03]: So that should be pretty interesting. [SPEAKER_02]: I'm sure that those developers are going to hear that a lot. [SPEAKER_02]: And between this game, X, it is, and the next aspect, I think. [SPEAKER_02]: Oh yeah, it's going to be in Vogue.
[SPEAKER_02]: All right. [SPEAKER_02]: Well, I think that that's probably a safe bed as well. [SPEAKER_02]: I definitely would want to watch the TV show before playing the game and maybe even just read the novels before playing the game. [SPEAKER_02]: Speaking of which, I still need to read three-body problem.
[SPEAKER_02]: I bought that and I still haven't read it. [SPEAKER_02]: So, kind of read that. [SPEAKER_02]: But, all right, why don't we head over to the Mid-Break and when we come back day, I want to jump over to you and ask what kind of recommendation you have for external media. [SPEAKER_02]: But, all right, with that, let's go over to the Mid-Break and we've got a review.
[SPEAKER_02]: We've got a new review to read. [SPEAKER_02]: So, all right, here we go. [SPEAKER_07]: We have the bacon. [SPEAKER_07]: We have beer. [SPEAKER_07]: The foods of my people. [SPEAKER_01]: Young men have funny ideas of what a star you're like. [SPEAKER_01]: I blame the extra net and computer games.
[SPEAKER_08]: Rex, Shepherd, Grant, Shepard, Rex, Grant? [SPEAKER_02]: All right, here we are in the middle of the show and this is the part where we read out your five star reviews. [SPEAKER_02]: If you've left them and Genesis, we actually do have a new five star review on Apple podcasts by Geo or Sino titled The Best.
[SPEAKER_02]: 10 out of 10, love listening to you guys. [SPEAKER_02]: I've played the trilogy dozens of times and thought I'd found everything, but listening to you has revealed even more things, I never knew existed that make me excited to dive in again. [SPEAKER_02]: Nobody I know is into Mass Effect and it's such a strange feeling to be so passionate about a story, but have nobody to share or talk about it with.
[SPEAKER_02]: I live vicariously through this podcast in that way. [SPEAKER_02]: Thanks for letting us know we aren't alone in our obsession. [SPEAKER_02]: PS, you guys should do a series on the Ghost Ship from the Cerberestately News. [SPEAKER_02]: Hey, that was good timing. [SPEAKER_02]: That was great timing, Gio, or, you know.
[SPEAKER_02]: And yeah, you know, I actually before I started the show, I didn't know that there were so many people who liked Mass Effect. [SPEAKER_02]: I thought it was just kind of like, [SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, I'm kind of weird for being so like in love with this game that doesn't have the same kind of following that any other game does, but whatever, I don't care, I like it.
[SPEAKER_11]: Yeah, for me, it was, I got into the games really late. [SPEAKER_11]: I didn't start playing until what 2020, 2021 something like that. [SPEAKER_11]: And so when I started looking to see if there was a major fan base a big community, I was like, this is freaking awesome, because the Mass Effect Lord castred already been out for a couple of months.
[SPEAKER_11]: The discord was already up and running through robots. [SPEAKER_11]: was really really cool. [SPEAKER_02]: Yeah well geo we are happy that you have hopped aboard and hopefully you're enjoying this series of episodes on the virtual aliens speaking of which we have a new comment on our most recent episode on Spotify we are trying to read some of those out so if you want to leave comments on Spotify just go to our most recent episode and it's by Alex of Kovier [SPEAKER_02]: If I were given the opportunity to go into a virtual universe, even for just a day I totally would.
[SPEAKER_02]: I can't imagine what it would be like. [SPEAKER_02]: I also think that the writers would, as well, the curiosity of what is out there. [SPEAKER_02]: Yes, I think that Sarah Scott Ryder, absolutely would. [SPEAKER_02]: I think Alec Ryder would as well, but maybe for like ulterior motives, maybe not just to explore for Alec Ryder, but to accomplish some kind of military objective, maybe gathering intel on AI.
[SPEAKER_11]: Yeah, or finding a cure for, you know, diseases or brain injuries that had been sustained. [SPEAKER_02]: Mm, yes. [SPEAKER_02]: Yep, absolutely. [SPEAKER_02]: All right, well Alex, thank you so much for the comment. [SPEAKER_02]: And I don't think that we have any new patrons right, Genesis.
[SPEAKER_02]: I did not double check today, and sometimes it does update less second. [SPEAKER_02]: With that, um, we do want to shout out our tier five patrons, which I have neglectfully not pulled up the list. [SPEAKER_02]: I see Genesis's screen flashing those so she must have it in front of her. [SPEAKER_11]: Uh, yes, uh, William Superfly 440 Retro Bot.
[SPEAKER_11]: The time to see you know, Kerosene, Ed Boy, and Day. [SPEAKER_11]: Big hearts, major loves. [SPEAKER_11]: All the thank yous. [SPEAKER_02]: Seriously. [SPEAKER_11]: I mean, when I read them out, seriously. [SPEAKER_02]: Thank you guys, uh, for your continued support of the show. [SPEAKER_02]: It makes it possible.
[SPEAKER_02]: Um, and God knows I do want to be able to do this every week. [SPEAKER_02]: And until at least the next Mass Effect game comes out. [SPEAKER_02]: That's the goal. [SPEAKER_02]: We're trying to survive. [SPEAKER_02]: We're we're we're treading water. [SPEAKER_02]: So to speak. [SPEAKER_02]: We're treading treading interstellar space.
[SPEAKER_11]: We do have a new patron to shout out. [SPEAKER_11]: Hexstar 47 has joined in. [SPEAKER_02]: Oh, well, welcome in tech star. [SPEAKER_02]: Thank you so much. [SPEAKER_02]: And if you guys, anyone listening, you have been watching or listening along and you want and you're able and willing to support us in that way and your curious about the Patreon, you can just go to patreon.com slash Mass Effect Lorecast and you'll see that we have a bunch of benefits that we give our patrons like there's stickers with our own custom designs of logos from the Mass Effect universe.
[SPEAKER_02]: Those come out once a quarter, so once every three months, I think it is. [SPEAKER_02]: And you know what, speaking of that, Genesis, we do need to update our t-shirt designs. [SPEAKER_02]: We need to include some more designs because we're coming up on yet another anniversary of the [SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, it feels like years since I just sat down to start this show.
[SPEAKER_02]: All right. [SPEAKER_02]: Um, we got up from these chairs. [SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, right. [SPEAKER_02]: All right. [SPEAKER_02]: Well, um, I think with that, that pretty much covers all the bases, right? [SPEAKER_02]: Did I forget anything? [SPEAKER_02]: I'm going off of the top of my head. [SPEAKER_02]: I don't have notes in front of me.
[SPEAKER_02]: So, [SPEAKER_11]: Nope, we are good because the other thing that we normally do is voice lines, but we don't do that on Patreon week, so we're all set. [SPEAKER_02]: Right on, all right. [SPEAKER_02]: Let's get back with the rest of the show. [SPEAKER_05]: After time adrift among open stars, along tides of light and through shows of dust, I will return to where I began.
[SPEAKER_00]: Celery and reproduction different, very little sex drive. [SPEAKER_00]: If intended to try human, would try you. [SPEAKER_00]: Ow, my bakeries! [SPEAKER_02]: All right, we're back, and day I have been sitting at the edge of my tiny seat waiting for your answer on what we should all watch or read or play or otherwise consume that we would like because we like mass effect.
[SPEAKER_03]: If you don't need for a while in the exam, Genesis, you both have wait. [SPEAKER_02]: I'm going to write down what he says. [SPEAKER_02]: I'm going to write down a piece of paper. [SPEAKER_02]: Hold on. [SPEAKER_02]: Wait, I need a pen, damn it, I don't have a pen. [SPEAKER_03]: Aren't there so many good drums, please?
[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah, but my recommendation, as always, is Jason's human revolution and Jason's mankind. [SPEAKER_02]: Okay, that's a great answer. [SPEAKER_02]: However, I guess we're on. [SPEAKER_02]: I was so sure you were going to write persona. [SPEAKER_11]: Oh, I put Dragon Age Inquisition. [SPEAKER_03]: I mean, yeah, but if you haven't played other games, go ahead and do that too, but like, I speak both of these games in particular because the writer of both mankind divided in human revolution, whose name I am blanking on right now, so Mary de Marlin, just yes, that's your name, is [SPEAKER_03]: As far as I remember, no, he is supposed to be a writer for Mass Effect 5, and so I'm pretty much convinced that things from both of those games may feel familiar.
[SPEAKER_03]: It may also crop up in Mass Effect 5 if you play both of those data sectors. [SPEAKER_03]: And I'm specifically saying those two, because there are other data systems that are also good in the own right, [SPEAKER_03]: I'm more specifically talking about these two because of a their writing and the their mechanics mechanically fights play out in day sx like a third person per year again you move in first person but you fight in third person it's that thing it works when you're playing it just works you know [SPEAKER_03]: the dialogue system is actually like really similar to the dialogue wheel because it is it's certainly fall out for even where it's like three or four options that you pick from at a time and that they all have different like in points different ways of the missions and different ways of just finding out about the world.
[SPEAKER_02]: In terms of, in terms of story, for those of us who have perhaps never even heard of Deus Ex, what are the themes surrounding it like? [SPEAKER_02]: Is it very cyberpunk? [SPEAKER_02]: Is it more hard sci-fi? [SPEAKER_03]: It's less punk, way less punk. [SPEAKER_03]: It is like cyber noir, even.
[SPEAKER_02]: Okay. [SPEAKER_03]: All right. [SPEAKER_03]: It's [SPEAKER_03]: You don't have to get into because sometimes it seems like the real world is a government conspiracy. [SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, it's been a weird year. [SPEAKER_03]: You know, the black helicopters, the illuminati, what have you?
[SPEAKER_03]: Genetic clones. [SPEAKER_02]: Okay, so I'm getting very much like vibes of like you remember Assassin's Creed 2 when you'd find those like glitches and then you'd find out more about the contemporary timeline of what was going on in the Assassin's Creed universe. [SPEAKER_02]: It sounds kind of like that.
[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah, my favorite part of Assassin's Creed 2 specifically was like how the modern day. [SPEAKER_03]: You know, back that was fun to do and not like terrifying. [SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, back when those YouTube videos were just, you know, harmless things to watch like ancient aliens and not things that were inspiring people to do real horrible acts.
[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah, so It's very, very science-hitch and heavy, but it's like, it's like very close. [SPEAKER_03]: Futurism where it's like bodies are augmented. [SPEAKER_03]: They have like physical augmentations and like their bodies aren't like rejecting it so they need to get this medicine to add like have these augmentations.
[SPEAKER_03]: People work at like three or four companies really because everything everything is owned by something else. [SPEAKER_02]: Oh wow okay. [SPEAKER_02]: This sounds like any more of this might be a little bit if you're playing games to escape and maybe don't play this. [SPEAKER_03]: Oh, you know, but it's, it's really heavy, really heavy, a duology.
[SPEAKER_03]: And I say duology because they're never going to make a third Adam Jensen came. [SPEAKER_03]: Thanks, and Bricer. [SPEAKER_03]: But yeah, if you have any interest in like, you know, modern futuristic cyber noir RPG, or, you know, the decisions you make in the game do [SPEAKER_03]: play out differently depending on what you do and how you handle certain situations, characters can react to what you've done in say a stealth scenario.
[SPEAKER_03]: You go loud, they'll be like, why did you do that? [SPEAKER_03]: You're supposed to do this quietly. [SPEAKER_03]: They'll react if you do things like, easily or non-leasely. [SPEAKER_03]: If you're a pacifist, a pacifist, right? [SPEAKER_03]: It's not only, is it possible? [SPEAKER_03]: It's encouraged.
[SPEAKER_03]: Interesting. [SPEAKER_02]: Okay, there reminds me of this on the [SPEAKER_03]: Yeah, you're not railroaded to do that either. [SPEAKER_03]: It's not like it's going to affect your character morality. [SPEAKER_03]: It is like an option to do. [SPEAKER_03]: If you feel like that may be restrictive, it isn't.
[SPEAKER_03]: You can do how it will handle situations however you feel. [SPEAKER_02]: So, it sounds like the gameplay is similar enough to Mass Effect that it's not gonna turn away Mass Effect fans, and the story has such similar themes and intrigue that it's almost certain to hook a lot of us. [SPEAKER_03]: So, absolutely.
[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah. [SPEAKER_03]: And the admins and it's just a likable main character. [SPEAKER_02]: Nice. [SPEAKER_02]: Genesis, have you ever played Deus Ex? [SPEAKER_11]: I have not. [SPEAKER_02]: and have you seen gameplay of it? [SPEAKER_02]: Is it your cup of tea? [SPEAKER_11]: You know, I actually don't know much about the whole series at all.
[SPEAKER_11]: So it might be one of those games that I pick up in the future because it does sound really cool and sound very interesting. [SPEAKER_11]: I just play so many already like story heavy games that I don't know if I'm ready to introduce a whole new pantheon into my gaming sphere right now.
[SPEAKER_11]: A TV series, I can watch that while I'm at work and not if that doesn't bother me at all. [SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, man, I get that. [SPEAKER_02]: Well, I think Deus X, the ones that you're talking about, day are both on game pass, right? [SPEAKER_02]: Or are I hallucinating? [SPEAKER_02]: I think they are.
[SPEAKER_03]: They may or may not. [SPEAKER_03]: I don't know. [SPEAKER_03]: Like both of them have been on a couple of times in the past. [SPEAKER_03]: Don't know about now. [SPEAKER_03]: Gotcha. [SPEAKER_02]: Well, I am definitely intending to go check that out. [SPEAKER_02]: Maybe maybe like try and get a little bit of any time away from.
[SPEAKER_03]: I just want to say they're like hundreds of hours of games. [SPEAKER_03]: Like if you just want to do a casual place room. [SPEAKER_03]: Maybe like 20-ish hours, casually. [SPEAKER_02]: Whoa, unheard of in today's world. [SPEAKER_02]: That is like, what do you mean my game isn't 200 hours?
[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah, they're very compact. [SPEAKER_02]: Yeah. [SPEAKER_02]: What do you mean my game isn't live service? [SPEAKER_02]: What do you mean that I don't have to wait for a battle pass to come out? [SPEAKER_02]: Yeah. [SPEAKER_12]: Yeah. [SPEAKER_12]: Back in my day, I remember when Halo showed Matt Pax.
[SPEAKER_12]: Separately. [SPEAKER_10]: Yeah, I remember the name. [SPEAKER_10]: Page old man. [SPEAKER_03]: Everyone John Master Chiefs was on my mountain deep. [SPEAKER_02]: Oh man, yes. [SPEAKER_12]: I remember Shrek Ketchup. [SPEAKER_02]: Ooh, I never got it, but I'm a green one. [SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, the green one.
[SPEAKER_02]: There was a purple one at one point too. [SPEAKER_02]: I forget we'll play for that one. [SPEAKER_02]: Well, flavor was that grimace? [SPEAKER_11]: It was all so tetra-flavored. [SPEAKER_11]: They didn't make it any other flavors. [SPEAKER_11]: It was just tetra-flavored. [SPEAKER_02]: OK. Maybe not flavor, OK. Who was the mascot of that one?
[SPEAKER_02]: Was it grimace? [SPEAKER_02]: Was it Barney? [SPEAKER_02]: I don't remember, dude. [SPEAKER_11]: All right, we're so long ago. [SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, yeah, for sure. [SPEAKER_02]: All right, well, Genesis, I want to jump over to you. [SPEAKER_02]: Dave, thank you so much for their recommendation on DSX.
[SPEAKER_02]: I definitely am intrigued. [SPEAKER_02]: And Genesis, what external media do you think other mass effect fans should partake in? [SPEAKER_11]: Well, it probably wouldn't come as a major shock, but I'm going to go with cyberpunk. [SPEAKER_02]: Oh, man, I know when saw this coming, please go on.
[SPEAKER_11]: Right, I mean, I do, I did have a couple of different games in mind, if you really truly enjoy Mass Effect for the dialogue selections and just being able to make a choice that is going to travel with you the whole way through to try to become human is your game. [SPEAKER_11]: It's not necessarily like a shooter action.
[SPEAKER_11]: It is almost a visual novel with quick time events and all dialogue selection. [SPEAKER_11]: and an amazing fantastic storyline. [SPEAKER_11]: Detroit become human if that's your thing. [SPEAKER_11]: If you're really going for a more action RPG, then definitely cyberpunk because the city of Night City just feels so alive while you're walking through it that you can find hidden gems in the different districts like you can when you're traveling from planet to planet.
[SPEAKER_11]: So you're going in, you're searching through a district looking for things to do. [SPEAKER_11]: You're meeting side characters, you're following storylines through. [SPEAKER_11]: You only mage your differences that V is a solo character. [SPEAKER_11]: You're not playing as V with their squad that you're learning to get along with, but it's the V's just out there on their own and having interactions with people one-on-one [SPEAKER_02]: and that the world is like, night city is so seamless.
[SPEAKER_02]: It's so seamless. [SPEAKER_02]: You don't have to use fast travel at all, if you don't want to. [SPEAKER_02]: And for that, it is super immersive. [SPEAKER_02]: And the immersion and mass effect, and you get to put yourself back in 2007, if you're talking about mass effect one, you put yourself back in 2007, and I think a lot of people would agree that mass effect one was incredible.
[SPEAKER_02]: incredibly immersive. [SPEAKER_02]: For all of its clunkiness, for all of its problems, especially that are glaring now, back in 2007, it was so easy to get lost in Mass Effect 1. [SPEAKER_02]: And I don't mean that is in like, you know, the level design sucks because that was true. [SPEAKER_02]: That was true.
[SPEAKER_02]: Some of the level design was confusing, but I meant, you know, lost in the world of Mass Effect. [SPEAKER_02]: So, and as someone who's played, I think 250 hours of cyberpunk, so not like a lot a lot, but enough for one playthrough plus a little bit. [SPEAKER_02]: I can attest to like how immersive the game is, and how hooked I got right away.
[SPEAKER_02]: I'm not like one for like, you know, the punk aspect of a lot of different aesthetics like steam punk, cyberpunk, like I'm not, I'm not big on the punk, I'm not big on punk, but like cyberpunk hooked me anyway. [SPEAKER_02]: And one of the things that I thought was so impressive about cyberpunk that I also think Mass Effect fans would appreciate is the depth of the relationships that you build in that game.
[SPEAKER_02]: It's not surface level. [SPEAKER_11]: no. [SPEAKER_11]: No, even with side characters that aren't your romance options, like because you're talking about death, the relationships are definitely for very in-depth romances, but even with like they're called fixtures in the game, they're your standard quest givers, but you're also building relationships with them, friendships, or even rivalries at some point, you know, there's definitely [SPEAKER_11]: you learn about the different political dynamics with the night's city.
[SPEAKER_11]: You learn about the tragic back stories of things that have happened. [SPEAKER_11]: And if you're a fan of deep, that'd be long-standing lore, [SPEAKER_11]: The original TTRPG that cyberpunk 277 the video game was based off of started back in the mid 80s by creator Mike Ponsmith who wrote a tabletop role playing game.
[SPEAKER_11]: and has continued the lore in a continuous fashion. [SPEAKER_11]: Anything that comes out that is officially licensed through the world of cyberpunk is all continuous lore. [SPEAKER_11]: So if you learn about our Saka, one of the major companies, the lore that Mike wrote back in the 80s still applies to the our [SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, and that that 80s element is is so present in the artwork to of Cyberpunk 2077, it is whereas fallout is 40s 50s retro futurism, Cyberpunk is 1980s retro futurism.
[SPEAKER_02]: So, you know, obviously very ostentatious colors. [SPEAKER_02]: If someone out there who has been living under a boulder for years is not familiar with what Cyberpunk 2077 looks like, it looks like someone ripped a compilation of music videos from the 1980s out and then threw them into the future like a hundred years and you get some kind of combination of that, and that's what it looks like.
[SPEAKER_02]: Looks like you've got the collected artworks in front of you, Genesis, is that what that is? [SPEAKER_11]: No, this is the comic book. [SPEAKER_11]: Well, it's the omnibus of all of them, but yeah. [SPEAKER_11]: No, it's just displaying some of the artwork that I have of cyberpunk related things.
[SPEAKER_02]: That's awesome. [SPEAKER_02]: All right. [SPEAKER_02]: Well, we've been talking a lot about cyberpunk. [SPEAKER_02]: I want to open that up to our patrons here. [SPEAKER_02]: Has anyone that wants to chime in about cyberpunk? [SPEAKER_02]: If you have played it, if you haven't played it, why you haven't played it?
[SPEAKER_02]: Or whether you think there are some valuable similarities between the two universes. [SPEAKER_02]: And don't worry, Genesis is not going to get mad at you. [SPEAKER_02]: For too long. [SPEAKER_09]: No. [SPEAKER_02]: Genesis. [SPEAKER_02]: I don't know if anyone here has played cyberbook.
[SPEAKER_11]: I know Dave. [SPEAKER_11]: Oh, they all have. [SPEAKER_02]: Oh, they all have. [SPEAKER_02]: I'll leave. [SPEAKER_11]: Oh, you know, go for it. [SPEAKER_11]: You unmuted first. [SPEAKER_06]: Yeah, I haven't played it, but I'm really interested in the. [SPEAKER_06]: You said that. [SPEAKER_06]: There's a lot of relationships that you develop with people that you meet.
[SPEAKER_06]: So when you said the character that was solo, I was a little bit scared because I don't really like to be. [SPEAKER_06]: to feel like alone in the world when I play a game, but if you say that you meet a lot of people and you really learn to know them and everything, I think it's really interesting and you said also that your choices matter.
[SPEAKER_06]: So that I like to. [SPEAKER_06]: I wanted to know if there were a little bit of combat in the game or it's, yeah, okay, okay, very heavy combat. [SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, the gameplay is a really big highlight, the combat and how you approach that is so up to you, it's not even funny, like, [SPEAKER_02]: Genesis, I'll let you talk a little bit more on it, but it's highly customizable, just like Mass Effect in drama this was.
[SPEAKER_11]: That's what I was going to compare it to. [SPEAKER_11]: It is an even better version of and drama at a level of customization of what type of combat that you want to play as. [SPEAKER_11]: You can use swords, you can use guns, and like a whole bunch of different types of guns, so yeah. [SPEAKER_11]: You can use [SPEAKER_02]: Yes, you can.
[SPEAKER_02]: All right. [SPEAKER_02]: Well, day, I think I saw you on mute as well. [SPEAKER_03]: Yeah, no, I've played it probably six, five or six times. [SPEAKER_03]: Gotta be careful. [SPEAKER_03]: I don't want to introduce any brain or not. [SPEAKER_03]: No, I probably played it way more than that, but I recently [SPEAKER_03]: uh, when my gaming laptop can handle it, but uh, no, as I'd highly recommend it, it's probably one of the hardest hitting stories, I think I've ever played, um, I was definitely sitting with for a while, uh, both that and the main game and the DLC.
[SPEAKER_03]: And what is up with the polls, why do they keep writing such that stuff? [SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, they have a deep status, um, so that said, I want everyone to think about the first time you finished Mass Effect 3. [SPEAKER_02]: How long did you just sit there and stare at your screen, right?
[SPEAKER_02]: And just go, damn, that is how you feel after you finish Cyberpunk 2077 for the first time, for better or for worse. [SPEAKER_02]: That's how I felt too that was just like, I'm watching the credits, I'm listening to the song Never Fade Away, and I'm like, [SPEAKER_02]: in a void. [SPEAKER_02]: I am I am beside myself with emptiness and loneliness.
[SPEAKER_02]: I'm like, I don't I don't know what to do now. [SPEAKER_02]: I I guess I'll go gamble. [SPEAKER_11]: Yeah, the ending is affected by choices that you make in the game. [SPEAKER_11]: So that's also very massive. [SPEAKER_11]: Your V has a personality based off of the dialogue that you're picking through.
[SPEAKER_11]: you can play as female or male. [SPEAKER_11]: So very highly customizable every things. [SPEAKER_11]: So even better body customization than Mass Effect. [SPEAKER_11]: Yeah, highly highly recommend cyberpunk 277. [SPEAKER_02]: All right. [SPEAKER_02]: And we just have a few minutes left.
[SPEAKER_02]: So I wanted to say my recommendations for the variant and I have a couple of different recommendations. [SPEAKER_02]: Number one, if you want to play a video game that you will also like similar to Mass Effect, I think you should try out the forgotten city. [SPEAKER_02]: It started as a mod for Skyrim, in which you would go underground and explore the ruins of these doorven ruins, and all of the stories of its past inhabitants, and you would basically try to break a curse that was on it.
[SPEAKER_02]: But that mod became so successful that they got series A funding, I think, and they made their own studio. [SPEAKER_02]: They made it into its own standalone video game. [SPEAKER_02]: and the gameplay wasn't so heavy on gameplay it was more of like if you've ever played missed especially the 2021 remake of missed it was kind of like gameplay like that or gameplay like the Talos principle where it's really a puzzle game but you get so invested into the story about whether or not this character is telling you the truth or this character is and oh man I don't want to tell this character this and decide to do this because that might kill this other [SPEAKER_02]: a lot of different threads going on.
[SPEAKER_02]: And by the end of it, it all wraps it up very neatly. [SPEAKER_02]: And there is a much better resolution part of the story arc than Mass Effect 3 got. [SPEAKER_02]: That it gives you that kind of like, [SPEAKER_02]: like I can I can rest in or relax now, you know, not not the constant cliff hangers that we get in TV shows now.
[SPEAKER_02]: But speaking of TV shows, if you're looking for more of like passive media where you don't really want to interact, I think altered carbon is an amazing TV series. [SPEAKER_02]: And Genesis, I see you nodding along. [SPEAKER_02]: You watched altered carbon. [SPEAKER_02]: It's a very [SPEAKER_11]: i have not watched altered carbon but i've done research on it because it is very cyberpunk like i've been suggested altered carbon because i like cyberpunk uh so uh but maybe one of these days i will watch it it's super gritty it's like [SPEAKER_02]: It's like as gritty as like if you were to take a TV show about seasick agents in the wards.
[SPEAKER_02]: And anyway, the premise is basically that they bring this guy, the super soldier back from like a life sentence in, in, in, in purgatory kind of soul purgatory, and they put him into a new body. [SPEAKER_02]: And you find out throughout the story that this isn't even like, [SPEAKER_02]: the second body that he's been in.
[SPEAKER_02]: Like this guy has been in a lot of different bodies and his soul keeps surviving has very big cloud atlas vibes for anyone that read or watched cloud atlas. [SPEAKER_02]: Very life is cyclical, that kind of, that kind of a thematic presentation's plus. [SPEAKER_02]: There's an android in it who's convinced that he's the real Edgar Allan Poe.
[SPEAKER_10]: That would be interesting. [SPEAKER_10]: I am definitely a fan of Poe. [SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, yep. [SPEAKER_02]: So if you want a piece of Poe, go and watch Altered Carbon. [SPEAKER_02]: And if you want a really in-depth, kind of multiple story threads going on and weaving all together in this beautiful tapestry of complexity, go check out the forgotten city.
[SPEAKER_02]: I had such a fun time with that game. [SPEAKER_02]: I don't think I spent more than 30 hours playing it, so it's not like a huge time sink, either. [SPEAKER_02]: But you really get out of it what you put into it, and it's, oh, and it's the thing about the forgotten city is it's not about the dwarves of Skyrim in the standalone game.
[SPEAKER_02]: It's all about Greco Roman mythology. [SPEAKER_11]: So that took up a notch on the playability. [SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, it's big on the Greco Roman Society and Mythology. [SPEAKER_02]: And I think it's supposed to be a Roman city, ancient Roman of ruins, if I'm remembering, right? [SPEAKER_02]: So if that's your jam.
[SPEAKER_02]: If you liked the aesthetic of Assassin's Creed Odyssey, you would love it, speaking of which Assassin's Creed Odyssey is an incredible game. [SPEAKER_02]: Not sure if Mass Effect fans on average would like it. [SPEAKER_02]: But I loved it. [SPEAKER_02]: Um, and I think that pretty much covers it for me, any thoughts for many one of you on either altered carbon or the forgotten city.
[SPEAKER_02]: I know there's a two kind of obscure picks, so I didn't really expect anyone to have any familiarity with either one of those. [SPEAKER_02]: the crickets are my answer. [SPEAKER_02]: All right, I think that pretty much does it. [SPEAKER_02]: Guys, thank you so much for sparing your nights to talk with us about more Mass Effect lore.
[SPEAKER_02]: Next week, we are gonna be going back for the finale of the virtual aliens episode arc. [SPEAKER_02]: And then Genesis and I will talk about where to go from there, but until then, Genesis, you got anything going on, anything you wanna shout out. [SPEAKER_11]: Yeah, I don't do my plugs in a second, but I also just wanted to point out that this question of what to do next after Mass Effect reverse that of what to do after Skyrim is how I found Mass Effect and brought me to this game in this community.
[SPEAKER_02]: Hmm. [SPEAKER_02]: Well, if anyone just finished Skyrim and you're looking for another Elder Scrolls thing or similar thing where to go next, they'll play more at wind. [SPEAKER_02]: So, all right, all right, give us your plugs, Genesis. [SPEAKER_11]: All right, two girls, one chip podcast, where we analyze right and review all the world of video game romances has to offer.
[SPEAKER_11]: We are currently doing Expedition 33, another amazing game, and then the cyberpunk forecasts where we explore the foundations of the past, the state of Night City today and the news of the future for all things cyberpunk. [SPEAKER_11]: Um a little bit. [SPEAKER_11]: Yeah, I'd say more French post-apocalyptic than punk.
[SPEAKER_02]: Baguette punk, got it. [SPEAKER_02]: Baguette, uh, belly, and that thing that thing that extends the cigarette. [SPEAKER_02]: What have those called? [SPEAKER_11]: Oh, the cigarette holders. [SPEAKER_11]: Yeah, what are those called? [SPEAKER_02]: I don't know. [SPEAKER_02]: Anyway. [SPEAKER_11]: Have a good day.
[SPEAKER_02]: May we. [SPEAKER_02]: Okay. [SPEAKER_02]: Karina. [SPEAKER_02]: What are you going on until the next patron chat and anything that you want to shout out in your personal life and how can people get a hold of you if you even do want them to get a hold of you? [SPEAKER_06]: Well, I'm playing Clagropskur Expedition 33 right now for the first time.
[SPEAKER_06]: I'm into the act two of the games, so I'm only at the beginning. [SPEAKER_06]: I think so it's really great, but you can contact me on Instagram, [SPEAKER_06]: I made it to the games I play. [SPEAKER_02]: I love ferrets. [SPEAKER_02]: They're so cute. [SPEAKER_02]: They're like fuzzy tube shape rats.
[SPEAKER_06]: I don't know why. [SPEAKER_06]: Lim was in mouse. [SPEAKER_02]: Yes, they're, they're, they're really, I think that they're adorable. [SPEAKER_02]: My wife is not like a huge fan of ferrets sag, but I think that they're cute. [SPEAKER_02]: They just are a little bit stinky to so bit just a little bit stinky, but that's probably because every time I've been in in the proximity of ferrets, their owners didn't do a good job of cleaning their enclosure.
[SPEAKER_06]: Exactly. [SPEAKER_06]: Yeah, that's the most of the time. [SPEAKER_02]: Yeah. [SPEAKER_02]: Yeah. [SPEAKER_02]: All right, fair it. [SPEAKER_02]: I love fair it's day. [SPEAKER_03]: How do you feel about fair it's cool little creatures big thumbs up. [SPEAKER_02]: Two big thumbs up. [SPEAKER_02]: All right, Roger and Ebert.
[SPEAKER_02]: What do you got going on anything that you want to shout out any writing perhaps that you're working on? [SPEAKER_03]: It's still mostly background stuff that's in our major release, but, you know, if you want to keep up with any of that at day days year on just about every social platform.
[SPEAKER_03]: We've still been playing through. [SPEAKER_03]: So playing through, you know, that was a series like a drag and series. [SPEAKER_03]: But I have been switching off and on to metaphor, refountries. [SPEAKER_03]: I can't say this. [SPEAKER_03]: Refund. [SPEAKER_03]: Refund TDO. [SPEAKER_03]: Well, it's easy for you to say.
[SPEAKER_03]: Thank you, Atlas. [SPEAKER_03]: Really, really love that. [SPEAKER_03]: But yeah, it's an original Atlas IP saying people that made personas 3, 4, and 5 made this game. [SPEAKER_03]: And it's like, send this fantasy world. [SPEAKER_03]: It's really cool. [SPEAKER_03]: The archetype system is sort of like the persona system that you can change it, but your archetype can change.
[SPEAKER_03]: You're part of these archetype too. [SPEAKER_03]: And the music is banging as always [SPEAKER_03]: all of them and say to us, I'm just knocking out of the park with music and the game play is like super sweet, super stylish, highly recommended, so far. [SPEAKER_02]: Hell yeah, it deals with plastic and heavy classes of glassism, tax the rich.
[SPEAKER_02]: What? [SPEAKER_02]: That's crazy. [SPEAKER_02]: I didn't say that. [SPEAKER_02]: Amazon don't kind of after me. [SPEAKER_02]: We're not your bot. [SPEAKER_02]: You got anything that you want to shout out. [SPEAKER_02]: Anything you got going on and [SPEAKER_04]: uh i'm red trobat on this court uh i have talked about my job on screen but because of current situations i cannot comment on what i do or do not do or where i may or may not do that cause her a uh and if i'm not the next paper chat i may or may not be somewhere else [SPEAKER_02]: He may be working.
[SPEAKER_02]: We'll just say that. [SPEAKER_02]: He might be a work. [SPEAKER_02]: Alright, well, I hope nothing but for the best for you, Retrobot, hopefully work goes as smoothly and easily as it can possibly go. [SPEAKER_02]: And with that, guys, I think that's all we got for today, or tonight, rather.
[SPEAKER_02]: Thank you all so much for sparing some extra time on this Tuesday. [SPEAKER_02]: We normally recruit on Saturdays, but I was busy doing bad stuff with a sick kid this past weekend. [SPEAKER_02]: So thank you for being flexible and rescheduling just for me to be here. [SPEAKER_02]: Otherwise, Genesis was gonna run it, but thank you for including me.
[SPEAKER_02]: Alright, that's all I got. [SPEAKER_02]: I'm streaming Fallout 3 slash Fallout New Vegas tale of two wastelands modic combines them into the same game with this massive mod list to modernize the two called nuclear sunset. [SPEAKER_02]: I've been putting so much time into that that it's just so fun.
[SPEAKER_02]: I'm like so [SPEAKER_02]: fall-out pill to right now. [SPEAKER_02]: I'm fall-out maxing. [SPEAKER_02]: I'm I'm bought boycoded and fall-out maxing. [SPEAKER_02]: So anyway, that's what I've been getting into if you want to catch some streams of mine. [SPEAKER_02]: I'm streaming quite sporadically, but when I do, it is usually at like 10pm Eastern 7pm [SPEAKER_02]: And yeah, you can go and find me on Twitch at an instant legend, or if I have any kind of social media.
[SPEAKER_02]: It's that same handle. [SPEAKER_02]: So that's all I got until next time, Specters, we should go. [SPEAKER_02]: Take care, guys. [SPEAKER_02]: Thanks for listening to the Mass Effect War Test. [SPEAKER_02]: Reach out to us on Blue Sky, Twitter, Discord, Patreon, or email us at Mass EffectLoreCast at gmail.com.
[SPEAKER_11]: Join us next week for more lore, same space, same time. [SPEAKER_11]: Or check out our live streams at twitch.tv slash Mass Effect WarCast.
