[SPEAKER_05]: Hey, Spectres, how's it going? [SPEAKER_05]: This is in seminal legend, and I'm just dropping you a quick line because this episode is a special one. [SPEAKER_05]: I joined a few of the other hosts from the robots radio network, including our old buddy Tom, and we discussed some who would win scenarios.
[SPEAKER_05]: And of course, I represented the characters of the Mass Effect universe to the best of my ability. [SPEAKER_05]: Genesis had to take the week off, but [SPEAKER_05]: hoping that you all enjoy this kind of episode. [SPEAKER_05]: If you don't, um, that's okay. [SPEAKER_05]: You can let us know.
[SPEAKER_05]: But if you do, please let me know. [SPEAKER_05]: And I can coordinate this kind of thing with Tom more often in the future. [SPEAKER_05]: Uh, I of course needed the week off because, uh, this week is the week of my son's first birth. [SPEAKER_05]: day. [SPEAKER_05]: So it's been one year.
[SPEAKER_05]: I can't believe that. [SPEAKER_05]: But I didn't want to focus all of my attention on my son this weekend. [SPEAKER_05]: Anyway, we will catch you next week's Specters when we talk with all of our patrons. [SPEAKER_05]: I can't wait to see what Lord topic they choose. [SPEAKER_05]: And then after that, of course, we're getting back to our regularly scheduled Lord.
[SPEAKER_05]: But until next time, Specters, I should go. [SPEAKER_05]: And so should my cat, Ochi. [SPEAKER_02]: I'm Commander Sheppard, and this is my favorite lorecast on the Citadel. [SPEAKER_05]: Welcome to the Mass Effect lorecast. [SPEAKER_05]: I'm in seven the legend. [SPEAKER_00]: And I'm Genesis, join us.
[SPEAKER_05]: As we explore along tides of light and through the shoals of dust to see where this lore began. [SPEAKER_00]: And consider where it may go. [SPEAKER_08]: Welcome everybody to the robots radio spring coast crossover special we'll just call it that I don't have official names for these things And you might be tuning into whatever podcast you're listening to going hey, who's this guy?
[SPEAKER_08]: What is going on? [SPEAKER_08]: Well, this is a very special episode. [SPEAKER_08]: We do these quarterly now at robots radio in the show you're listening to as part of the robots radio network And I am Tom. [SPEAKER_08]: I'm the guy who set up the network. [SPEAKER_08]: I do all the Running the network stuff, but I also host my own shows like the fallout lork cast the elder Scrolls lork cast the Lord of the Rings lork cast and retro recall [SPEAKER_08]: And with me this week, we have a host of other hosts, that's kind of redundant.
[SPEAKER_08]: But joining me, we've got Jeremy or Void who had to step away for a second, he'll be right back in a second. [SPEAKER_08]: But then we have Sergio, Sergio, go ahead and introduce yourself and what shows you do. [SPEAKER_04]: Oh, my name is Sergio. [SPEAKER_04]: I am the host of the Dungeons and Dragons.
[SPEAKER_04]: Laura cast. [SPEAKER_04]: I am also the co-host of the 616 files and unofficial history of the Marvel Comics universe. [SPEAKER_08]: Welcome back, Sergio. [SPEAKER_08]: So good to always be pleasure to be here. [SPEAKER_08]: Yeah, these are super fun. [SPEAKER_08]: Oh, and I didn't mention what we're doing this week, so I just want to throw that out there before we get too far with the intros.
[SPEAKER_08]: We are playing a game of, I'm calling it hero versus hero, but some of these might be villains. [SPEAKER_08]: Everybody's going to bring a character from one of the things they talk about and it's going to be against another character. [SPEAKER_08]: Do you do something that's typically mundane?
[SPEAKER_08]: And we're going to have some fun arguments to pick who's going to be the best at that mundane thing, like planking or something else. [SPEAKER_08]: We'll get there. [SPEAKER_08]: But next on our list is Jessica Star. [SPEAKER_08]: Jessica is so good to have you. [SPEAKER_01]: Hey Tom, great to everybody.
[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, I'm Jessica Star, a host of the Star Field Lork House, Voice of Sophia on the Modest Files. [SPEAKER_01]: Also host the Fallout feed, stream at Jessica Star XP. [SPEAKER_01]: YouTube with the Waceland Theater Company, under Jessica Star, do a lot of things super happy to be joining y'all today.
[SPEAKER_08]: Yeah, lots of Fallout and Bethesda stuff, so that's fun. [SPEAKER_08]: Yeah, welcome, and then we have Austin. [SPEAKER_08]: Austin's joining us. [SPEAKER_08]: Hello, everybody. [SPEAKER_05]: Hi, I'm Austin and from Dumperscape. [SPEAKER_05]: You'll probably know me most from the library Halo lore cast.
[SPEAKER_05]: It's good to have you. [SPEAKER_05]: Good to see you. [SPEAKER_05]: There's too much stuff that I'm involved with. [SPEAKER_05]: So, Dumperscape.com. [SPEAKER_08]: There you go. [SPEAKER_08]: Much of Halo stuff and other things. [SPEAKER_08]: So, yeah, go check that out. [SPEAKER_08]: Austin, welcome.
[SPEAKER_08]: And then also, we have Sam joining us. [SPEAKER_08]: Sam, this is we have two Sam's. [SPEAKER_08]: We're going to call you Sam, too. [SPEAKER_08]: But welcome, Michelle. [SPEAKER_06]: Yes, excited to be here again. [SPEAKER_06]: My name is Sam for this incident Sam too. [SPEAKER_06]: I am host of Bay Kild Kenny South Park Retrospective Fairly New Year the robot robots radio landscape, but I excited to be here today and excited to get to know everyone.
[SPEAKER_08]: So good to have you and then of closing us out Sam and seven legend Sam. [SPEAKER_05]: Well, I'm Sam too. [SPEAKER_05]: Who do you want to blame joke intro? [SPEAKER_05]: Yeah, so also known as in seven legend, I host the Mass Effect Lorquest. [SPEAKER_05]: And, you know, Tom and I hosted the critically acclaimed Xbox Game Pass show.
[SPEAKER_08]: Yeah, I didn't last forever. [SPEAKER_08]: I also with all the craziness about Xbox Lali. [SPEAKER_08]: It's probably a good thing. [SPEAKER_08]: We did that after a while. [SPEAKER_08]: Probably for the best. [SPEAKER_08]: Yeah, yeah, good times though. [SPEAKER_08]: But welcome everybody.
[SPEAKER_08]: So this is the way this is going to go for our audience. [SPEAKER_08]: Each person is going to be pitted against another host and they're going to name a character from the IPs from the games from the books from whatever they talk about from the TV shows They're going to pick a character and they're going to stick with that character for that argument and they don't know what the character is going to be competed in [SPEAKER_08]: competing in.
[SPEAKER_08]: I've got a list of 20 different things. [SPEAKER_08]: We're going to pick one at random and then they're going to have to each give us their best argument for why their character would win at that thing. [SPEAKER_08]: And it doesn't matter if it doesn't make any sense, like from just like a conceptual standpoint, like you pick a magical space dragon and then all of a sudden he has to bake a pizza or something.
[SPEAKER_08]: Like it's [SPEAKER_08]: they're still just going to have to make it work. [SPEAKER_08]: That's part of the fun. [SPEAKER_08]: And then the other hosts are going to vote on, or I'll first I'll ask some questions, discuss this a little bit, but then they're each going to vote on who they think won the argument.
[SPEAKER_08]: So it's less about the character that you have. [SPEAKER_08]: It's more about your ability to argue why that character would win that competition. [SPEAKER_08]: And then we'll just continue moving, whoever wins will continue on to the next round. [SPEAKER_08]: And we'll just see where it goes before the end of the episode.
[SPEAKER_08]: It should be a lot of fun and I've got all sorts of fun things on this list. [SPEAKER_08]: So I'm ready to get to it. [SPEAKER_08]: But we're going to kick this off with Sergio versus Jessica. [SPEAKER_08]: Sergio, which character are you going with? [SPEAKER_08]: You going with the Dungeons and Dragons character or something else?
[SPEAKER_04]: Well, I was going to use Dredstu Arden from the Dungeons and Dragons realm. [SPEAKER_04]: I could also use Spider-Man from the 616 files, the Marvel Universe. [SPEAKER_08]: Yeah, you got a bunch of Marvel characters. [SPEAKER_08]: That's true. [SPEAKER_04]: I have a bunch of Marvel characters.
[SPEAKER_08]: I'm going to go with Spider-Man. [SPEAKER_08]: Okay, Spider-Man, always popular. [SPEAKER_08]: Against Jessica Star, Jessica, who are you? [SPEAKER_08]: You do, you do the Star Field Lordcast, but you also do fallout stuff. [SPEAKER_08]: I feel like that's fair for you to pick any of those characters in any of those.
[SPEAKER_08]: Neither of the TV. [SPEAKER_01]: I appreciate that. [SPEAKER_01]: I thought you were going to assign characters. [SPEAKER_01]: So I am woefully unprepared. [SPEAKER_01]: And yet, I hopefully I know the character as well. [SPEAKER_01]: Let's just go with Starfield. [SPEAKER_01]: I think that's most appropriate.
[SPEAKER_01]: And I will pick Andorasia. [SPEAKER_08]: Andorasia. [SPEAKER_08]: Okay, so one of the companions from Starfield, another fairly, I mean, I guess you're the main character, but you can't go with yourself because you could do whatever you want in the game. [SPEAKER_01]: Yeah. [SPEAKER_01]: Quite possibly the most popular companion from House of Arun.
[SPEAKER_01]: She's mysterious. [SPEAKER_01]: She's deadly. [SPEAKER_01]: And she's ready to take on Spider-Man. [SPEAKER_08]: Nice. [SPEAKER_08]: All right. [SPEAKER_08]: All right. [SPEAKER_08]: So the competition is those two together and Jeremy is joining us again. [SPEAKER_08]: Jeremy, you, you didn't get to introduce yourself.
[SPEAKER_08]: Let people know who you are and what you do on the network. [SPEAKER_07]: Hi. [SPEAKER_07]: My name is Jeremy Geiser or Void on Discord and I run the Dungeons and Dipschitz live play D&D Adventure podcast. [SPEAKER_08]: Nice. [SPEAKER_08]: Nice. [SPEAKER_08]: Also, we're starting out with Sergio and Jessica here and since you just sat down, I'm going to have you give me a number between one and 20 to determine what they're competing at.
[SPEAKER_07]: One in 20, well, regarding my D&D nature, I'm gonna roll you a D20. [SPEAKER_07]: Do it, do it, roll it. [SPEAKER_08]: But when it's points if you get it in the mic, if the mic can hear the roll. [SPEAKER_08]: No, give me a second then. [SPEAKER_08]: I think I heard it a little bit. [SPEAKER_08]: Here put it closer, roll it again.
[SPEAKER_08]: Yeah, there we go, fully work. [SPEAKER_08]: 12. [SPEAKER_08]: 12. [SPEAKER_08]: All right, okay, here we go. [SPEAKER_08]: This is where it's starting. [SPEAKER_08]: Spider-Man versus Andraja. [SPEAKER_08]: Doing their taxes by themselves. [SPEAKER_04]: Oh, man. [SPEAKER_04]: Okay. [SPEAKER_08]: So Sergio, so you're going to start us off.
[SPEAKER_08]: You've only got explained a little bit about the character, explained why they're going to win this competition. [SPEAKER_08]: Then Jessica is going to respond, try to keep it short, just two or three sentences in your explanation. [SPEAKER_08]: And then you're going to get a chance, as you started first, you had to disadvantage, because she will know what you have said.
[SPEAKER_08]: So you will have the ability at the end to refute with just one sentence. [SPEAKER_08]: So okay. [SPEAKER_08]: Go for it. [SPEAKER_08]: So couple couple of sentences. [SPEAKER_04]: So yeah, you can introduce your character just in case somebody doesn't know who Spider-Man is well Spider-Man is a man with the powers of a spider.
[SPEAKER_04]: No, yes, I was Spider-Man out. [SPEAKER_04]: Peter Parker. [SPEAKER_04]: I would say he was pretty pretty good at doing his own taxes. [SPEAKER_04]: One because he like many of us is a freelance worker. [SPEAKER_04]: He doesn't actually work for the daily bugle. [SPEAKER_04]: He merely supplies photos for them.
[SPEAKER_04]: And so he wouldn't need to be able to know how to put that into his taxes. [SPEAKER_04]: Probably as some kind of, I was a term I'm looking for a contract worker. [SPEAKER_04]: And he would have to do it himself because Peter Parker is historically not well off. [SPEAKER_04]: He's always in financial strates, he's always eating, you know, ramen, and, you know, mustard sandwiches.
[SPEAKER_04]: And so he would be adept at doing his own tax because he simply couldn't pay someone to do them for him. [SPEAKER_08]: Nice. [SPEAKER_08]: Okay. [SPEAKER_08]: Jessica, your turn. [SPEAKER_01]: Okay, so my character is Andraja of House for Roon, and you may say, wait, she's not local. [SPEAKER_01]: Is she filing taxes with the UC?
[SPEAKER_01]: How is she doing that? [SPEAKER_01]: She's not familiar with the laws, but here's the thing. [SPEAKER_01]: Andraja has trained for years to be a spy, to work undercover. [SPEAKER_01]: She's worked as a smuggler. [SPEAKER_01]: She's worked both below the law. [SPEAKER_01]: and above the law and trained on how to interpret and understand these laws.
[SPEAKER_01]: Additionally, you know, she has been studying for this since she was a child, extensive schooling, very good with mathematics. [SPEAKER_01]: I think she would have no trouble with her own taxes. [SPEAKER_08]: All right, solid arguments. [SPEAKER_08]: Sergey, you get one sentence to add a little bit more or refute something.
[SPEAKER_04]: Someone who operates beyond the law isn't concerned with taxes. [SPEAKER_08]: Okay, but those are the statements and the rest of us you guys have any questions any thoughts and you have feel free to chime in you can ask them questions. [SPEAKER_06]: You can just talk amongst yourselves What do you think Hmm, I guess it depends on the time period of these taxes are they modern day taxes are they?
[SPEAKER_08]: Well, let's say it would be whatever taxes they have to do for their environments and where they if when they live any of that stuff so [SPEAKER_07]: So with Spider-Man, it's modern day with Anandraja, I think. [SPEAKER_08]: It's a few hundred years in the future. [SPEAKER_07]: Yeah. [SPEAKER_05]: Yeah.
[SPEAKER_05]: I got to be honest. [SPEAKER_05]: I can imagine both of these characters getting arrested for tax evasion. [SPEAKER_06]: one be one willfully and the other kind of like I don't know what I'm doing like what's going on accidentally okay yeah okay any other thoughts or questions I guess I would say it feels like it'd be like a side plot for Peter Parker to basically try to fumble to get his taxes together you know like a [SPEAKER_06]: eat a fast time period basically.
[SPEAKER_06]: So, and where is it? [SPEAKER_06]: And Dre, I could see her, um, maybe just get in a robot, you know, as an assistant to be pooping, get it done for. [SPEAKER_01]: He would be incredibly prepared. [SPEAKER_01]: No doubt she always plans ahead. [SPEAKER_05]: Sam, you're talking about the time period and I was thinking about extensions and then I realized, you know what, I don't think Peter even makes enough to have to file taxes.
[SPEAKER_05]: You might not. [SPEAKER_05]: I can relate to that. [SPEAKER_04]: He might not. [SPEAKER_04]: He might maybe something as completely foreign to him. [SPEAKER_07]: Well, I mean, he does have his own apartment that he does keep. [SPEAKER_08]: So he has to make enough to cover that in New York City.
[SPEAKER_07]: Right. [SPEAKER_07]: Right. [SPEAKER_07]: In New York City. [SPEAKER_07]: Yeah. [SPEAKER_07]: And I mean, he's Peter Parker has also been known pretty much multi-versally to be incredibly intelligent. [SPEAKER_05]: Yeah, true. [SPEAKER_05]: He's an awesome scientist. [SPEAKER_05]: Yeah.
[SPEAKER_05]: All the real like the legitimate jobs he does, right? [SPEAKER_05]: He's paid under the table. [SPEAKER_01]: Oh, not a boy, right? [SPEAKER_04]: Oh. [SPEAKER_04]: Yeah, Jay Jones and James and probably just gives him a most stack of 20 years. [SPEAKER_04]: Yeah, he's giving up on the loop.
[SPEAKER_08]: Yeah, just Applebee's good cards. [SPEAKER_08]: That's all he pays in there. [SPEAKER_01]: In some iterations, he is a dependent as well. [SPEAKER_01]: That could complicate matters. [SPEAKER_08]: OK. Well, I feel like we're running out of time here for the discussion. [SPEAKER_08]: So we've got to make a vote.
[SPEAKER_08]: These are some good observation. [SPEAKER_08]: All right, everybody think everybody, the four of you, [SPEAKER_08]: You have your huge jeopardy music. [SPEAKER_08]: All right, so here's what we're gonna do. [SPEAKER_08]: Who thinks Spider-Man? [SPEAKER_08]: Raise your hand. [SPEAKER_08]: We got Austin and Jeremy, and then it seems like it's split.
[SPEAKER_08]: Okay, so do that mean Sam and Sam. [SPEAKER_08]: You guys are on Andraja. [SPEAKER_05]: That's right. [SPEAKER_08]: Yeah, I think Sam is team in Brazil. [SPEAKER_08]: All right. [SPEAKER_08]: All right. [SPEAKER_08]: Well, some of your own arguments actually swayed me to team in Dresha as well because Peter, but he actually have to do taxes.
[SPEAKER_04]: You might think it might be something that he's never done before. [SPEAKER_04]: And the thing about [SPEAKER_04]: Spider-Man and Peter Parker is a character why he has endured since 1962 is how relatable he is to the leader That's true. [SPEAKER_04]: So like and so to To your credits who pointed out like that could be like a side plot that he's trying to fumble about getting his his taxes done I mean who who amongst us like they like oh, it's April 15th already.
[SPEAKER_04]: Oh my gosh [SPEAKER_05]: Yeah, yeah, the watches would be the sinister sixes for some reason after him in preventing him at every right. [SPEAKER_08]: Because they're too busy attacking the city. [SPEAKER_08]: Yeah. [SPEAKER_08]: God says somehow gotten hired at the IRS. [SPEAKER_08]: Yeah.
[SPEAKER_08]: Yeah. [SPEAKER_08]: Well, good. [SPEAKER_04]: Good. [SPEAKER_08]: Good. [SPEAKER_08]: We're good. [SPEAKER_08]: Well, Jessica won this one. [SPEAKER_08]: Okay. [SPEAKER_08]: So here's how this is going to work. [SPEAKER_08]: Jessica is now against Austin. [SPEAKER_08]: You're next on the list.
[SPEAKER_08]: All right, so in Jessica you don't have to stick with the same character. [SPEAKER_08]: You can mix this up because you don't know what the competition is So it's still gonna be kind of random. [SPEAKER_08]: So if you want to pick a different character you can but Austin you go go ahead and you go first because she's the the incumbent here [SPEAKER_05]: Okay, so I'm sure everyone is immediately guessing what my character's going to be giving them the Halo, okay?
[SPEAKER_05]: I'm going to subvert them entirely. [SPEAKER_05]: I'm keeping him very, very particular for later. [SPEAKER_05]: We're going to go with his one of his favorite friends, Sergeant Johnson. [SPEAKER_05]: Sergeant Johnson. [SPEAKER_08]: All right, so what do we need to know about Sergeant Johnson?
[SPEAKER_05]: This man is a, is a, is a, is a, is a, is a, is a, is a, is a, is a, is a, is a, is a, is a, is a, is a, is a, is a, is a, is a, is a, is a, is a, is a, is a, is a, is a, is a, is a, is a, is a, is a, is a, is a, is a, is a, is a, is a, is a, is a, is a, is a, is a, is a, is a, is a, is a, is a, is a, is a, is a, is a, is a, is a, is a, is a, is a, is a, is a, is a, is a, is a, is a, is a, is a, is a, is a, is a, is a, is a, is a, is a, is a, is a [SPEAKER_01]: I'm going to mix it up to a paladin dance of the Brotherhood of Steel from Fallout 4.
[SPEAKER_08]: Paladin dance dance revolution, all right? [SPEAKER_08]: Paladin dance? [SPEAKER_08]: What was his name, Sergeant? [SPEAKER_08]: Johnson? [SPEAKER_08]: Sergeant John Sergeant, okay. [SPEAKER_08]: I've wanted to make sure I got the actual clap, like the level of military correct because that just fell out of my brain for some reason.
[SPEAKER_08]: All right, so we got to pick a number between one and 19, Sergio, you were the one who just loved, unfortunately, lost the last round. [SPEAKER_08]: Pick a number, one to 19. [SPEAKER_08]: go with number two. [SPEAKER_08]: Number two. [SPEAKER_08]: All right, this will be fun. [SPEAKER_08]: These are all these are great.
[SPEAKER_08]: All right, so here's the argument. [SPEAKER_08]: All of a sudden, you're starting us off. [SPEAKER_08]: This is the competition. [SPEAKER_08]: Be who would win or be better at being a driver's ed teacher. [SPEAKER_05]: Okay, Sergeant Johnson is perfect for this. [SPEAKER_05]: This dude was a drill instructor, created the militia that eventually fought the covenant, this alien conglomerate for the first time.
[SPEAKER_05]: He's been a special operative for like 30 years, most of his life has been spent in the military even before that as a special operative. [SPEAKER_05]: And plus, he was a mentor for the master chief himself, come on, he's born to be an instructor. [SPEAKER_05]: All right, Jessica. [SPEAKER_01]: I don't think we're out there getting our word hog license.
[SPEAKER_01]: If we're talking alternative vehicles, Paladin Dance is incredibly experienced. [SPEAKER_01]: He can fly vertebrates as a member of the Brotherhood of Steel. [SPEAKER_01]: He is conversant with all sorts of forms of technology and because of his semi-secret background of the synth. [SPEAKER_01]: Sorry for the spoilers.
[SPEAKER_01]: He has some conscious knowledge and muscle control beyond that of many normal humans. [SPEAKER_08]: Interesting. [SPEAKER_08]: All right, Austin, you have one sentence that I heard the comment about the Wardhog. [SPEAKER_05]: Let me clarify here. [SPEAKER_05]: This guy loves the oldies.
[SPEAKER_05]: He talks about how much he loves old music. [SPEAKER_05]: He would know about old cars. [SPEAKER_05]: He would know about how they work. [SPEAKER_05]: He'd be able to get you to drive manual or automatic period. [SPEAKER_05]: Interesting. [SPEAKER_05]: Good arguments. [SPEAKER_05]: What do you all think?
[SPEAKER_05]: Do cars even like are there any operable cars in the fallout universe? [SPEAKER_01]: very few. [SPEAKER_01]: There are some, but the majority of of tires have been long rotted out. [SPEAKER_08]: There is a car in fallout too. [SPEAKER_08]: Yep. [SPEAKER_08]: So they're having that, yes.
[SPEAKER_04]: I feel like a drill sergeant would give me anxiety. [SPEAKER_04]: If I'm like half-less 15-year-old trying to learn to drive. [SPEAKER_06]: fair. [SPEAKER_06]: I got to say I wouldn't be to, um, um, press with, uh, Sergeant Johnson's, uh, driving technique with the way my halo driving goes with those war talks flipping around all day, all day long.
[SPEAKER_07]: Yeah, okay. [SPEAKER_07]: Now is this another situation of like within universe drivers and teachers? [SPEAKER_08]: Yeah, you have to, you have to assume that they're in the context that they would be in somehow. [SPEAKER_07]: Okay, then I'm going to go with Sergeant Johnson specifically because dance has never driven a like roadworthy vehicle.
[SPEAKER_04]: But yeah, the lack of vehicles in the fallout universe is kind of an hindrance for sure. [SPEAKER_04]: It's a tough, yeah. [SPEAKER_04]: It makes it tough. [SPEAKER_04]: All right. [SPEAKER_04]: It sounds like you guys are coming to a conclusion. [SPEAKER_04]: These are all like these. [SPEAKER_04]: This is a theoretical exercise.
[SPEAKER_04]: But imagine yourself behind the steering wheel of a car. [SPEAKER_04]: Like what's a car? [SPEAKER_04]: What is a car? [SPEAKER_04]: What is a car? [SPEAKER_06]: Well, refrigerator. [SPEAKER_06]: Do we think in universe, it's easier to drive a car than it would be to drive a basically [SPEAKER_06]: I mean, we see over the fall-down in the fall-down show.
[SPEAKER_06]: We saw Lucy get the hang of that pretty quick. [SPEAKER_08]: That's true. [SPEAKER_08]: That's true. [SPEAKER_06]: All right. [SPEAKER_08]: Let's do a vote. [SPEAKER_08]: Let's do a vote. [SPEAKER_08]: I think we've had enough discussion here. [SPEAKER_08]: Let's do a vote. [SPEAKER_08]: Who thinks Austin wins?
[SPEAKER_08]: Sergeant Johnson, Sergeant Johnson, Sergeant Johnson, Sergeant Johnson, Yeah, Austin's not teaching the class, but he made the argument. [SPEAKER_08]: So, all right, so we've got three for Sergeant Johnson, Jessica, you know about, yeah, because you're competing. [SPEAKER_01]: So, you know, I think fair, I think fair.
[SPEAKER_08]: That's great, that's great. [SPEAKER_08]: So, Sam too, you would be with Jessica on this one. [SPEAKER_08]: I'm in the... [SPEAKER_08]: Okay, okay, so... [SPEAKER_08]: Sergeant Johnson, congratulations, you win. [SPEAKER_08]: Jessica, you won one, but you lost this one. [SPEAKER_08]: Austin moves on.
[SPEAKER_08]: Congratulations. [SPEAKER_08]: All right. [SPEAKER_08]: Now it's Austin versus Sam 2. [SPEAKER_08]: All right. [SPEAKER_08]: We'll do South Park Sam. [SPEAKER_08]: Oh, no. [SPEAKER_08]: That's fun. [SPEAKER_08]: South Park Sam. [SPEAKER_06]: Yeah. [SPEAKER_08]: There we go. [SPEAKER_08]: All right.
[SPEAKER_08]: Austin, Sam, Sam, you're the new one. [SPEAKER_08]: Who are you picking? [SPEAKER_08]: What character? [SPEAKER_06]: All right, I'm going to go with one of the most iconic South Park characters, Eric Cartman. [SPEAKER_08]: Cartman. [SPEAKER_08]: All right, Cartman versus, do you want to add more about Cartman?
[SPEAKER_06]: No, no, I'm so sorry. [SPEAKER_06]: Go ahead. [SPEAKER_06]: You're fine. [SPEAKER_06]: You're fine. [SPEAKER_06]: We're ready. [SPEAKER_06]: We're in the ring. [SPEAKER_06]: Yeah. [SPEAKER_06]: Bring that bell. [SPEAKER_06]: How would you describe Cartman's personality? [SPEAKER_06]: Uh, basically the worst kind of person you would ever meet, uh, manipulative, uh, arrogance, um, racist homophobic, but when it comes to competitions and he knows how to get a leg in those.
[SPEAKER_08]: All right, all right, Austin, who are you going with? [SPEAKER_05]: We're gonna go with, this is a little bit of a gamble. [SPEAKER_05]: I'll admit, but we're gonna see if it pays off Cortana, the AI herself who has been iconic as a partner to master chief in all of his endeavors. [SPEAKER_05]: And subsequently also straight up Empress of the Galaxy for a little bit there, but we're not gonna worry about that.
[SPEAKER_08]: Okay, all right, Jessica, give me a number between one and 18. [SPEAKER_01]: I'm gonna go with, [SPEAKER_01]: 12 again. [SPEAKER_01]: 12 again. [SPEAKER_08]: Yeah, I think things move around because I pull them out of the list and the numbers change. [SPEAKER_08]: So 12. [SPEAKER_08]: I hope this is the hot dog eating contest one.
[SPEAKER_08]: So this one is who would be the best at the game that we're playing right now. [SPEAKER_08]: Oh, the little meta there, a little meta. [SPEAKER_08]: Okay, Sam, South Park Sam, what's your argument for this one? [SPEAKER_06]: All right, I guess are we assuming these characters have their own podcast?
[SPEAKER_08]: Right. [SPEAKER_08]: Well, the idea would be that they would be naming a character and making a good argument for why that character would get it something. [SPEAKER_06]: All right. [SPEAKER_06]: Right. [SPEAKER_06]: Well, I guess I would say, we know Eric Hartman engages with a lot of different media throughout the show.
[SPEAKER_06]: He's always up to date on whatever current events are going on, what movies are out, what shows are big, what video game is the next hot thing to play. [SPEAKER_06]: And I think he's able to read people very well even if they're going to be imaginary characters. [SPEAKER_06]: So I don't know.
[SPEAKER_06]: That would be my argument for Eric Hartman. [SPEAKER_06]: Okay. [SPEAKER_06]: All right, Austin. [SPEAKER_05]: Cortana is an AI that's operating off of a chip that is using a data crystal shard. [SPEAKER_05]: That data crystal shard has petabytes of storage space on it. [SPEAKER_05]: Ons of information, it has been well documented over and over again.
[SPEAKER_05]: Cortana has knowledge of the entirety of human history, it's media, and if she doesn't know it already, which is very unlikely, she can access it very easily. [SPEAKER_05]: I don't think there's a single reason why she wouldn't be able to come up with any reason possible for any character to win any situation, even if we can't think of it.
[SPEAKER_05]: All right. [SPEAKER_08]: Sam? [SPEAKER_08]: Final thought? [SPEAKER_06]: Hmm. [SPEAKER_06]: Basically, he made a really good point there. [SPEAKER_06]: I can't dispute that. [SPEAKER_06]: Um, but, you know, I'm sticking behind my choice, uh, and now it's up to the people. [SPEAKER_06]: Okay.
[SPEAKER_06]: All right. [SPEAKER_06]: Let's open this up. [SPEAKER_06]: What do you all think? [SPEAKER_04]: So it's basically the worst person you could possibly think of versus AI. [SPEAKER_05]: Yeah, yeah, if recent events are any indicator, the former wins to face me, right? [SPEAKER_05]: So no, so I guess that actually kind of like goes to the heart of like, what does it mean to win a debate to present a more logical argument or to convince other people [SPEAKER_05]: If it's the latter, I feel like Cartman wins that one because as horrible as he is, he is kind of a populist.
[SPEAKER_08]: there are a number of times in the series where he has convinced them to do some pretty terrible things. [SPEAKER_04]: Yeah and you know Sam mentioned like hey he's very manipulative and so he would definitely like start tugging on hard strings, start you know just being manipulated, manipulating the audience and to believe in what he thinks and you know Cortana would use logic and reason and who wants any of that.
[SPEAKER_01]: How is she on empathy and appealing to people like in your experience? [SPEAKER_01]: Awesome. [SPEAKER_08]: You can answer that kind. [SPEAKER_05]: She is extremely, really well-versed in it because her brain is built off of one of the most manipulative people in the galaxy. [SPEAKER_05]: There you go.
[SPEAKER_05]: So, another point. [SPEAKER_05]: Wait, she's based off Eric Carman. [SPEAKER_05]: That's all coming together. [SPEAKER_05]: Close enough. [SPEAKER_05]: If he was given billions of dollars and also did horrible things, but like, really, really, I think worse. [SPEAKER_08]: Hmm. [SPEAKER_08]: We keep on bringing up current politics guys.
[SPEAKER_08]: I'm oh wait a minute. [SPEAKER_08]: You were talking about famous worlds. [SPEAKER_08]: Okay, um Any other questions or thoughts before we get the votes? [SPEAKER_08]: No, okay. [SPEAKER_08]: Let's see. [SPEAKER_08]: Let's who thinks Cartman wins. [SPEAKER_08]: Raise your hand See, I see two votes.
[SPEAKER_08]: Does that mean the other two are voting for Cortana? [SPEAKER_08]: Yes, okay. [SPEAKER_08]: Jess and Jeremy voting for Cortana. [SPEAKER_08]: Oh no, I have to break this. [SPEAKER_08]: Hmm. [SPEAKER_08]: Hmm. [SPEAKER_08]: Okay. [SPEAKER_08]: I'm going to give it to Cortana because as manipulative as Eric Cartman is, I think that she has both more of a background, both in the information and the ability to convey that information.
[SPEAKER_08]: So Austin, congratulations. [SPEAKER_08]: You're moving up. [SPEAKER_08]: Sorry, Sam. [SPEAKER_06]: It was a close. [SPEAKER_06]: It was a real class and it's not a close battle. [SPEAKER_06]: I could see Eric Hartman like, you know, talking on those hard strings when he came, but in the end, probably pissing off everyone on his side to the point that they, they're with Cortana.
[SPEAKER_06]: I can't in the loss. [SPEAKER_06]: I love it. [SPEAKER_01]: The end of every every episode. [SPEAKER_01]: I'm going to turn against him. [SPEAKER_01]: Yeah. [SPEAKER_08]: Yeah, all right, time to move on. [SPEAKER_08]: Austin, you are carrying forward against in seven legends, Sam. [SPEAKER_08]: Let's see, who are you going with us?
[SPEAKER_08]: Let's go to in seven and seven. [SPEAKER_05]: What character you could use? [SPEAKER_05]: I'm gonna pick Admiral Stephen Hackett. [SPEAKER_05]: Okay. [SPEAKER_05]: Nice. [SPEAKER_05]: So, I have no idea what competition this is gonna be, so it could prove extremely fruitful or horrible.
[SPEAKER_05]: Okay. [SPEAKER_08]: Hackett from Mass Effect and explain to people who haven't played what Hackett is like. [SPEAKER_05]: So hack it in in Mass Effect is like your grizzled old uncle who hits you up when he needs favors done. [SPEAKER_05]: He has he's he's like supposedly 45 or 50 but he looks like he's 70.
[SPEAKER_05]: Oh, yeah, it's a rough 50. [SPEAKER_05]: Yeah. [SPEAKER_05]: He's also been through like special training or a special ops training [SPEAKER_05]: basically the most important military officer in the entirety of Mass Effect. [SPEAKER_05]: Okay, and then Austin, who are you going with? [SPEAKER_05]: I'm going to try to make the odds even here.
[SPEAKER_05]: I'm going to go with Captain Cutter from Halo Wars 1 and 2. [SPEAKER_05]: The one of the most integral captains in the entirety of the UNSC and was able to single-handedly use his one single ship, his single ship, to take down an entire army that could have easily leveled most other fleets.
[SPEAKER_08]: Nice. [SPEAKER_08]: All right. [SPEAKER_08]: So we've got Hackett versus Cutter. [SPEAKER_08]: Sam too or South Park Sam. [SPEAKER_08]: Give me a number between one and 17. [SPEAKER_06]: All right. [SPEAKER_06]: Well, when I earlier and we were rolling those dice to get our number, I had to go and get one of my own D&D guys.
[SPEAKER_06]: So we're going to go that route as well. [SPEAKER_06]: All right. [SPEAKER_06]: Let's see. [SPEAKER_06]: I'll make sure we can hear it. [SPEAKER_08]: Good folly work, nine, nine, all right, here we go, sorry if that was loud. [SPEAKER_08]: No, you're good. [SPEAKER_08]: You're good. [SPEAKER_08]: All right.
[SPEAKER_08]: The competition is in seven and seven. [SPEAKER_08]: You're going to start us off. [SPEAKER_08]: Who's the best at robbing a bank? [SPEAKER_05]: Oh, old age and corruption beats youth and beauty every time, but that's, so if there's one thing that Hackett knows it's how to get out of a sticky situation, there have been numerous sticky situations that Hackett has been in charge of not the least of which involved, blowing up an entire solar system effectively and then covering it up so the alliance didn't get any more than a slap on the wrist.
[SPEAKER_05]: I'd say that flagrantly breaking galactic law and basically getting away with it, it constitutes being able to pull off a bank robbery with minimal repercussions. [SPEAKER_05]: Okay, Austin. [SPEAKER_05]: My friends already opened this conversation by saying that this guy has already had the experience of solving complicated problems, especially in that of fighting massive wars, which of course is, you know, much, much larger than just a bank robbery.
[SPEAKER_05]: Let's be real about this. [SPEAKER_05]: Well, let me tell you, the apple doesn't fall far from the tree, and his son is one of the most famous insurrectionists ever. [SPEAKER_05]: The insurrectionists, despite the fact that humanity is on its last legs about to go out, are constantly trying to bring down humanity for some political or corrupted reason.
[SPEAKER_05]: And I gotta say, even though Cutter isn't entirely approving of it, his son thinks just like him. [SPEAKER_05]: So I think in the right circumstances, with the right assets, with the right tools, [SPEAKER_08]: All right, Sam, you got the final response here. [SPEAKER_05]: I don't know, if I'm putting together a team to rob a bank, I want to be able to trust everyone.
[SPEAKER_05]: And if I know that one guy's got ties to like a prominent insurrectionist, I might leave him behind. [SPEAKER_05]: All right, let's open it up. [SPEAKER_08]: Questions, thoughts? [SPEAKER_01]: So in both cases, we're considering these characters to be the mastermind of the heist when they're putting the team together, essentially also being as a mastermind.
[SPEAKER_08]: That could be the case, or they could simply be just doing it themselves. [SPEAKER_08]: It could be a smaller little, just like, you know, grab some cash and leave. [SPEAKER_08]: But whatever that situation is, we'll go with their arguments for the way they framed it, because either thing could technically be robbing a bank.
[SPEAKER_01]: Okay, so we have hack it, not kind of master mining the Beterian situation. [SPEAKER_01]: I like how you referenced that Sam because that was a really sticky situation. [SPEAKER_01]: And then we have the other, okay, thank you. [SPEAKER_04]: Okay, yeah, I think the obviously it's not one to one, but the planning and strategy that went into handling the Beterian situation, I think that's gonna give them a leg up.
[SPEAKER_04]: I mean, if movies have taught me anything, robbing a bank, it's very tricky. [SPEAKER_08]: Mm-hmm. [SPEAKER_08]: Yep. [SPEAKER_07]: Jeremy, do you have any thoughts? [SPEAKER_07]: Well, I was going to say robbing the bank is not the hard part. [SPEAKER_07]: Surviving and getting away is the hard part.
[SPEAKER_07]: Right. [SPEAKER_07]: So, I mean, I guess my question would be, what would be their getaway plan? [SPEAKER_07]: Like, can we, in just a few words? [SPEAKER_08]: Yeah, that's possible. [SPEAKER_05]: Okay, Sam wants to get away plan for years. [SPEAKER_05]: Right. [SPEAKER_05]: Well, we can just go right back to the arrival DLC and say that Hackett is used to high risk extractions.
[SPEAKER_05]: And in that case, it involves Commander Shepard, but even if Commander Shepard, even if Commander Shepard doesn't do it, aka you didn't play the DLC, Hackett still pulls it off with a different team of Marines. [SPEAKER_05]: He's too far on the way. [SPEAKER_05]: who are by the way, not Commander Shepard.
[SPEAKER_05]: So it proves that a hack it is used to both black ops and high-risk extractions. [SPEAKER_05]: Interesting, Austin. [SPEAKER_05]: In Halo Wars 1, we have a very important scientist get kidnapped by the covenant, this massive religious conglomerate. [SPEAKER_05]: And with very little hesitation because he's only concerned about the crew and his ship, he goes after this woman.
[SPEAKER_05]: with every single person on board part of the plan. [SPEAKER_05]: He sets up this perfect situation in which fighting unknown forces because he fights against not only the covenant, but he runs into the flood, if anyone knows anything about the flood. [SPEAKER_05]: The fact that he beat them is astounding.
[SPEAKER_05]: A massive, galactic, wide infection basically that can't be beat gets temporarily defeated by this man. [SPEAKER_05]: And not only succeeds, it cripples the covenants' fleet because they'd managed to be based basically, they'd fail to put together a massive fleet that would have actually decimated the entirety of the human race, all of that, basically by himself.
[SPEAKER_05]: Can I get a riddle? [SPEAKER_08]: If somebody asks you for one, because you unfortunately, you've both Sam, can you both deny your rebuttal? [SPEAKER_08]: Okay, so you got to get so good. [SPEAKER_05]: So basically, the question was about the five oh and how would this person make sure that they can get away from the law enforcement presence that would be swarming?
[SPEAKER_05]: Hackett somehow manages to avoid the entire reaper fleet during the invasion in Mass Effect 3. [SPEAKER_05]: And we're talking about sentient, you know, psychotic starships that are swarming the entire Milky Way. [SPEAKER_05]: So I don't think that getting away from a local police department would be too much of a hassle.
[SPEAKER_07]: Okay. [SPEAKER_07]: All right. [SPEAKER_07]: Well, we get, we're getting down to it. [SPEAKER_07]: Kit, can I ask, um, so robbing a bank does not typically involve like, [SPEAKER_07]: large aircraft already being at their disposal. [SPEAKER_07]: So, um, disregarding large aircraft, how are we, now how are we feeling?
[SPEAKER_07]: Start with saying this one. [SPEAKER_07]: I don't even want. [SPEAKER_07]: I honestly go ahead. [SPEAKER_05]: He's extremely comfortable. [SPEAKER_05]: He has tasks for task forces for basically every ground operation Namely, let's say three Spartan twos, which are the best Spartans in the operation.
[SPEAKER_05]: He has some of the best ones even, and also just plenty of ground operations that he's led personally, that have all gone without a hitch. [SPEAKER_05]: He almost has no failures on his record whatsoever, after many, many years of service, even before he was a captain. [SPEAKER_08]: Okay, Sam.
[SPEAKER_05]: Right. [SPEAKER_05]: Well, hack it is the most decorated officer in the entire system's alliance. [SPEAKER_05]: And he didn't get there just by patronage or some other kind of nepotism. [SPEAKER_05]: He was an orphan and avoided street gangs by joining the special ops force for juveniles in Buenos Aires.
[SPEAKER_05]: So I think he's probably fine getting around on his feet. [SPEAKER_08]: All right. [SPEAKER_08]: We've got to get a vote in. [SPEAKER_08]: Let's see who let's start with Sam since he's the new guy who thinks and seven the legend has the better argument [SPEAKER_08]: See, one hand, two hands.
[SPEAKER_01]: Oh, I mean, or an argument got me. [SPEAKER_01]: I mean, you know, we've soon brought it up for our fans. [SPEAKER_08]: All right, so it looks like Sam wins. [SPEAKER_08]: It looks like Jeremy's the only one who voted for Austin, but the other three of you voted for N7 legend. [SPEAKER_08]: Congratulations, Hackett, you're in the winner.
[SPEAKER_08]: All right, we're looping this back around to Jeremy, so we've got N7, the legend versus Void or Jeremy. [SPEAKER_08]: Jeremy, who are you going with? [SPEAKER_07]: So, because I run a D&D podcast, it's gonna be one of the NPCs that has its own player sheet in his name is Grendel. [SPEAKER_07]: Okay, fellas in the middle.
[SPEAKER_07]: If anybody here watches anime, he is a mix between Enosuke and Bakugo. [SPEAKER_07]: uh... in those gay being a very uh... animalistic character who kind of just does whatever he wants and then boku go being like you can't kill me i'm going to kill you first uh... this character is extremely low intelligence and things that he is the best in the world and things that he knows everything awesome awesome [SPEAKER_08]: sounds very cool.
[SPEAKER_08]: All right, Sam. [SPEAKER_05]: I'm going to go the opposite end of the spectrum just for fun. [SPEAKER_05]: I'll go super high intelligence, so we'll say the elusive man. [SPEAKER_05]: Okay. [SPEAKER_05]: For those of you who are not familiar, the elusive man is the leader of a human supremacist organization named Cerberus, which has [SPEAKER_05]: like an uncanny amount of resources that it's disposal apparently and has its tentacles, its writing tentacles, involved in everything from, you know, biomedical research to arms manufacturing to assassination attempts and political scandals, you name it.
[SPEAKER_05]: It's all about influencing the galaxy how the elusive man wants. [SPEAKER_08]: All right, sounds good. [SPEAKER_08]: Austin, give me a number between 1 and 16. [SPEAKER_08]: Seven seven seven seven. [SPEAKER_08]: Okay, this is my example at the beginning. [SPEAKER_08]: Who's better at planking?
[SPEAKER_07]: Jerry start Grendel has a strength of 21 Indeed, turn a lot of strength a lot of strength. [SPEAKER_07]: So that is that is very well above average 10 being the average [SPEAKER_07]: So he's he's cut like he there have been times we're and and he has a special power that out when he rages his strength goes up by five I think okay so in total he's getting a plus 13 to strength So pretty solid all right Sam [SPEAKER_05]: The elusive man is only seen not sitting in his chair, one scene.
[SPEAKER_05]: One scene in Mass Effect 2 and one scene in Mass Effect 3. [SPEAKER_05]: Can you imagine how stiff this guy is? [SPEAKER_05]: He's sitting down the entirety of both of those games otherwise, not to mention his advanced age and his implanted of re-protect that the reapers could always assume direct control if it appeared that he was going to lose any kind of competition.
[SPEAKER_07]: The abs on this guy are incredible, like it's not just like a six or an eight pack, it's just like you see every muscle fiber in him. [SPEAKER_08]: Alright solid arguments, let's open this up. [SPEAKER_08]: Thoughts questions? [SPEAKER_05]: Okay, Tom, I need a clarification. [SPEAKER_05]: What are they planking on?
[SPEAKER_08]: It's just planking in general. [SPEAKER_08]: It would be on anything, anything. [SPEAKER_08]: So when you get into planking, you go back like a decade or whenever this was decade plus, it's been a while, right? [SPEAKER_08]: Remember all the videos people have posted, and it was just like something that was like on a kitchen counter across railroad tracks at the grocery store.
[SPEAKER_08]: It's like planking across everything all the time. [SPEAKER_08]: It's just... [SPEAKER_05]: Okay, then I know exactly what my thinking is here. [SPEAKER_05]: I don't see why the elusive man would ever think that it would be necessary to plank. [SPEAKER_05]: Grendel on the other hand would probably take it as a damn birthright.
[SPEAKER_05]: Wow, how's this fired up with this? [SPEAKER_07]: What is Grendel's class? [SPEAKER_07]: He is a barbarian. [SPEAKER_07]: Oh, yeah, I'm going to have to come up with an already made up. [SPEAKER_06]: But so when we're talking, planking, we're talking about social media style planking, not hard work out planking.
[SPEAKER_08]: Yeah, no, this is like, oh, there's a, I don't know, a ladder over there. [SPEAKER_06]: I can plank on the ladder, you know, like something else we have to take in mind is like, [SPEAKER_06]: the spot which they plank you know where it's cool like you know a park park bench or you know between two cars would grendle be able to find something cool like that or would uh uh maybe the elusive man used to reaper stuff like a pop-up or a plank that would get some points for me.
[SPEAKER_07]: Grendel can definitely find like two boulders. [SPEAKER_07]: He grew up under one. [SPEAKER_07]: So it's interesting. [SPEAKER_05]: You bring up the reapers though because zero gravity. [SPEAKER_05]: Thank you wins that one. [SPEAKER_05]: If you're competing against someone who's not in zero gravity, anyway.
[SPEAKER_05]: But they lose some man's a master of deception anyway. [SPEAKER_05]: So like depending on how the judges were viewing the planking competition, he could probably just like hack the feeds and make a look like he was [SPEAKER_01]: I'm not sure if that speaks to the challenge, but okay, so the elusive man is known for unbending will not really unbending body How do you think he keeps a tight?
[SPEAKER_05]: I'm plan to see sorry you're at the implants It is it's the Reaper implants and the endless supplies of cigars and and and bourbon He's already hollowed because I have a mummy already [SPEAKER_06]: No, I would say one thing against the elusive man to argue against him would be, yes, all that smoking he does, but from what I understand in the Mass Effect universe, there are no negative benefits.
[SPEAKER_05]: Then negative characteristics, smoking right in the Mass Effect universe, all negative health benefits, or negative health repercussions have pretty much been mitigated. [SPEAKER_06]: but then in grandals are given against grandals, I would say we need a D20 roll to see what we land on.
[SPEAKER_06]: Yeah, if it's a, if it's a, if it's a, if it's a one, it's a failure. [SPEAKER_01]: Right. [SPEAKER_01]: I think he's saving throw. [SPEAKER_07]: What do you, what do you get? [SPEAKER_07]: Let me, let me get it on the desk so you can hear it. [SPEAKER_07]: Okay. [SPEAKER_07]: All right.
[SPEAKER_07]: I don't know. [SPEAKER_07]: Did he roll in that one? [SPEAKER_07]: I'm the diet to three, so that's a 16 if he's raging. [SPEAKER_08]: Okay, that's still okay. [SPEAKER_08]: We're okay, we're all, yeah. [SPEAKER_08]: That's not too bad for you guys. [SPEAKER_08]: All right. [SPEAKER_08]: Well, let's vote on this.
[SPEAKER_08]: This is a fun one. [SPEAKER_08]: What do you want, what do you want to think? [SPEAKER_08]: Who thinks? [SPEAKER_08]: Grendel. [SPEAKER_08]: All four of you. [SPEAKER_08]: Wow, Grindel Wins. [SPEAKER_08]: Those are some. [SPEAKER_05]: Yeah, I agree. [SPEAKER_08]: All right. [SPEAKER_08]: Let's keep this going.
[SPEAKER_08]: We've still got some time on the show. [SPEAKER_08]: Jeremy, you are against Sergio now. [SPEAKER_08]: We're going back around to Sergio. [SPEAKER_08]: Okay. [SPEAKER_08]: What kind of Sergio? [SPEAKER_08]: Who are you picking? [SPEAKER_08]: You sense you're the new guy on this one. [SPEAKER_04]: Let's go.
[SPEAKER_04]: Dungeons and Dragons. [SPEAKER_04]: Laura cast. [SPEAKER_04]: Let's go with [SPEAKER_08]: I'm going to have to go with my DM character of Void. [SPEAKER_08]: Void, oh, you're DM character. [SPEAKER_08]: Interesting. [SPEAKER_08]: Okay, what can, so let's go back to Sergio, what can you tell people briefly about about Richard?
[SPEAKER_04]: So it's is a drought, a dark elf, a master swordsman, ran down throughout the forgotten realms for his simotars, the icing death and twinkles, and I mean, he's [SPEAKER_04]: He is a hardly ever beat in combat and one-on-one combat. [SPEAKER_07]: All right, Jeremy, so Void is originally was a very inhuman warlock and so he woke up in a barrel as a shadow.
[SPEAKER_07]: As you do, I mean, we have, we've all been through, you know, and he basically woke up in a barrel and went through the campaign, disappeared, came back with his, [SPEAKER_07]: second consciousness in quotes named Nightfall. [SPEAKER_07]: And Nightfall is basically venom, but a little cooler in my opinion.
[SPEAKER_08]: Oh, cooler than venom. [SPEAKER_08]: All right, and this is an interesting matchup. [SPEAKER_08]: All right, so Sam, are you here? [SPEAKER_08]: Sam? [SPEAKER_08]: That's seven? [SPEAKER_08]: I think you had to say. [SPEAKER_08]: Oh, there you are. [SPEAKER_08]: Okay, I need a number between one, 15.
[SPEAKER_08]: 15. [SPEAKER_08]: 15, all right. [SPEAKER_08]: Who would be the best at running a zoo? [SPEAKER_08]: Sergio, go first. [SPEAKER_04]: Well, if you are familiar with the Dritz sword, and you know that he has an animal companion that known as Gwynever, a black panther that lives on the astral plane, and because of this, he is very adept at animal handling.
[SPEAKER_04]: And as a follower of my leaky, he would be very much attuned to the animal kingdom. [SPEAKER_04]: And he would run part in my French, or one hack of a zoo. [SPEAKER_04]: All right, Void, tell us about Void. [SPEAKER_07]: Kit, is it possible to just give it because Void, Void, being me, and having had this character for years?
[SPEAKER_07]: I know immediately he would get too annoyed. [SPEAKER_07]: So it's not possible, he cannot win the game. [SPEAKER_07]: I told him he could do it. [SPEAKER_08]: He could do it. [SPEAKER_08]: It smells horrible. [SPEAKER_08]: Exactly. [SPEAKER_08]: Nice. [SPEAKER_08]: All right, well, Sergio, congratulations you win.
[SPEAKER_08]: We default Dritt's dwinds, that means that you are now going back against Jessica. [SPEAKER_08]: It's a rematch, rematch, rematch, just you're literally a ranger. [SPEAKER_01]: I mean, yeah, you had it. [SPEAKER_08]: So Jess, who are you going with? [SPEAKER_01]: Oh, I'm going to go with Barrett.
[SPEAKER_01]: We're going to stick with companions in the Starfield universe. [SPEAKER_01]: We'll go with Barrett. [SPEAKER_01]: Okay, Barrett, and we describe Barrett briefly. [SPEAKER_01]: uh... he works with a constellation he's an advanced uh... engineer uh... he's known for being incredibly charismatic he's a great cook he he he he if the kind of guy and get in a situation he can be a hostage situation and when you find him he's there chatting with his captors completely free of bonds just you know sharing a hogey yeah he's he's super charismatic he's got one of those voices that you just like a home in this guy yep all right sir do [SPEAKER_04]: I'm going to switch it up, go back to the marble universe, and I'm going to go with one that Tony Stark, aka Iron Man.
[SPEAKER_08]: All right, Iron Man, Tony Stark, void give me a number between one and 14. [SPEAKER_08]: Is it, are you rolling again? [SPEAKER_07]: Yes. [SPEAKER_08]: Yes. [SPEAKER_08]: All right. [SPEAKER_08]: Okay, D4 and D10. [SPEAKER_08]: All right. [SPEAKER_08]: Nine, nine, all right, oh no. [SPEAKER_08]: Okay, so here we go, Jessica, you're gonna start us off on this one.
[SPEAKER_08]: Who is the best at seducing a sugar daddy or mama? [SPEAKER_01]: Well, my goodness, so Barrett, if he's known as incredibly seductive, you know, he is basically the very white of the star field universe, you know, he will put on the tunes, and yes, he has all the tunes, he has all the stuff, but he's also, you know, as a bisexual man, he is, you know, he will step up to many situations that may come in here, so he is swath, he is ready to swing and [SPEAKER_01]: he's gonna sit you spend.
[SPEAKER_08]: Okay. [SPEAKER_08]: All right. [SPEAKER_08]: I mean, this is going to be tough. [SPEAKER_08]: All right, Sergio. [SPEAKER_04]: When one thinks of the phrase billionaire playboy, one automatically thinks Tony Stark. [SPEAKER_04]: He's beyond ingenious, devilishly handsome, has a rapier's wit, and can get into [SPEAKER_08]: All right, Jess, one more thought from you.
[SPEAKER_01]: Money doesn't buy everything. [SPEAKER_01]: Some billionaire playboys' reputations precede them. [SPEAKER_08]: Ooh, all right, questions, thoughts. [SPEAKER_05]: Is cooking involved in this production? [SPEAKER_01]: That could be. [SPEAKER_01]: That could be. [SPEAKER_01]: It certainly should be because, I mean, obviously, we know the way too many people's heart is through their stomach.
[SPEAKER_01]: And bear is very prepared. [SPEAKER_05]: Are they doing this as part of a task, or are they just doing this for pleasure? [SPEAKER_04]: Is this business deduction or pleasure said, action? [SPEAKER_08]: I mean, it seems like the connotation here of a sugar daddy slash mama. [SPEAKER_08]: Kind of implies a little bit of both.
[SPEAKER_08]: Okay. [SPEAKER_08]: Okay. [SPEAKER_04]: I was going to say, this might hurt my chances, but I will be the first to admit that Tony starts being a billionaire. [SPEAKER_04]: He probably wouldn't be apt to need a sugar mama or daddy. [SPEAKER_04]: He would be right for sure, daddy. [SPEAKER_04]: Yeah, he can probably just be just deducing for love of the game, honestly.
[SPEAKER_05]: I can't see because the sugar daddy sugar mama situations and herent power dynamic there. [SPEAKER_05]: I cannot see Tony Stark accepting conditions or terms or you know any kind of direction from a sugar daddy or mama right like you know having to be like hand put his hand out and say money please.
[SPEAKER_08]: Yeah, that makes it a little bit rough. [SPEAKER_04]: Yeah, so I mean, I think he could, he is absolutely capable of doing so, but would he, that's the, that's the argument to be made. [SPEAKER_08]: Alright, and any other thoughts or questions? [SPEAKER_06]: I guess I could bear it, look past the memory of his dead husband in this situation, or would it be too much for him to move on?
[SPEAKER_01]: Barrett could bear it in the game can actually move on with the player character if certain things are right. [SPEAKER_01]: So yes, if the star field aligns, he definitely would. [SPEAKER_08]: Good question. [SPEAKER_08]: Good question. [SPEAKER_08]: All right. [SPEAKER_08]: Let's get a vote.
[SPEAKER_08]: What do you all think Jessica is? [SPEAKER_08]: Is the, what's the word for the person who's competing? [SPEAKER_08]: It's the person who's the incumbent the challenge challenge you're that's a good word for a Jessica's a challenger who do you think Jessica who thinks Jessica and bear when?
[SPEAKER_08]: See two hands the other two you guys are going for Tony Stark and Sergio. [SPEAKER_08]: Yeah, oh, it's both. [SPEAKER_08]: Okay, so I have to break this Sergio, I think you're right. [SPEAKER_08]: I think Tony Stark doesn't need a sugar daddy right I think that's probably the difference both of them are super swath extremely capable if it was just Seduction was just a question.
[SPEAKER_04]: It'd be a toss up right, but the yeah, the qualifier. [SPEAKER_08]: It's it's for the sugar mama or daddy So yep, yeah, you're right. [SPEAKER_08]: Yeah [SPEAKER_08]: So I think Jessica, you win this one. [SPEAKER_08]: Congratulations. [SPEAKER_08]: All right. [SPEAKER_08]: We are getting close to the end of this fun little game.
[SPEAKER_08]: We don't really have a final round or anything like that. [SPEAKER_08]: But here's what I want to do. [SPEAKER_08]: Who would like to be in a final round and make an argument? [SPEAKER_08]: We could do two people. [SPEAKER_08]: We could do three people. [SPEAKER_08]: Who would like to? [SPEAKER_08]: Who has another character?
[SPEAKER_08]: They're like, oh, I really love to have this character. [SPEAKER_08]: Okay, Austin. [SPEAKER_08]: I see Austin. [SPEAKER_08]: I see N7. [SPEAKER_08]: And we also want to join in on this one. [SPEAKER_08]: It can be more than just two people. [SPEAKER_04]: I can't really do myself out of it.
[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, and without the qualifier, any random person I would have voted for, Tony Stark's. [SPEAKER_08]: Yeah, that was a really good matchup for that question. [SPEAKER_08]: That was really cool. [SPEAKER_08]: All right, so let's just go in order. [SPEAKER_08]: Just name your character gives a really brief description.
[SPEAKER_08]: Void. [SPEAKER_07]: My character is the Gremlin. [SPEAKER_07]: He is basically the party snail and it will find them anywhere anytime and we're trying to always kill them. [SPEAKER_08]: Nice, all right, he's killing of those voices. [SPEAKER_08]: It doesn't get angry and sound like doll them.
[SPEAKER_03]: I mean, this is about his voice, he's pretty intimidating when he turns red. [SPEAKER_08]: He's kind of halfway between like Elmo and Gollum. [SPEAKER_08]: Yeah, a bit. [SPEAKER_08]: Yeah, there's a little reason there. [SPEAKER_08]: He's in there. [SPEAKER_08]: Very cool. [SPEAKER_08]: All right, Sergio?
[SPEAKER_04]: Okay, so I'm gonna stay with the Marvel Universe and we are in season two of the six one six files in 1963 and so I'm going to pick characters that we have currently covered and I'm going to go with Bruce Banner, aka the incredible Hulk. [SPEAKER_04]: Got it. [SPEAKER_04]: All right, Jess.
[SPEAKER_01]: I'm gonna keep jumping around, let's go back to the Fallet Universe to keep that representation and I'll go with Nick Valentine Detective from Fallout 4. [SPEAKER_05]: Nice. [SPEAKER_05]: Austin? [SPEAKER_05]: I, of course, have to bring out the big guns, the one and only the master chief himself, a man who has not only demonstrated his humanity and done a good job of being there for his teammates and those who need him, but also the decimator of two separate armies in one day and continues to do things like this.
[SPEAKER_05]: That's my man. [SPEAKER_05]: All right. [SPEAKER_08]: Sam, South Park Finn. [SPEAKER_06]: Uh, I'm going to be going with a Randy Marsh. [SPEAKER_06]: Randy Marsh. [SPEAKER_06]: All right. [SPEAKER_06]: Let's go. [SPEAKER_06]: All right. [SPEAKER_04]: And then I can already want to vote for Randy.
[SPEAKER_05]: We ought to end seven. [SPEAKER_05]: I got to go with Legion, Legion from Mass by Legion, the first Geth that we meet and evidence that the Geth are sentient, even though they are high-mide. [SPEAKER_08]: All right. [SPEAKER_08]: Here's how this is going to go. [SPEAKER_08]: I need a number between 1 and 13.
[SPEAKER_08]: Oh, that's real a dice. [SPEAKER_08]: Yeah, roll a dice for me. [SPEAKER_08]: I got one. [SPEAKER_08]: Go for it. [SPEAKER_08]: Oh. [SPEAKER_08]: Seven. [SPEAKER_08]: Seven. [SPEAKER_08]: Well, all these middle numbers. [SPEAKER_08]: Okay. [SPEAKER_08]: Here we go. [SPEAKER_08]: I think this is a good one for this competition.
[SPEAKER_08]: All right. [SPEAKER_08]: This needs to be super brief. [SPEAKER_08]: Just give me like one reason why and we're going to start and go backwards. [SPEAKER_08]: We'll start with then seven. [SPEAKER_08]: And we'll go all the way back to void. [SPEAKER_08]: One reason why your character would be the best one to help an old woman cross the street.
[SPEAKER_05]: instant threat identification. [SPEAKER_05]: The death are not human. [SPEAKER_05]: They have insane computational powers. [SPEAKER_05]: Okay. [SPEAKER_05]: South Park Sam. [SPEAKER_06]: Uh, I got to say Randy would probably just leave the woman in the middle of the road. [SPEAKER_06]: He get distracted by something.
[SPEAKER_06]: But let's say he makes it across. [SPEAKER_06]: Um, he does know how to, uh, [SPEAKER_06]: No, no, he's not good with old people. [SPEAKER_06]: Nope, no. [SPEAKER_05]: Right, it's an anti-argument cool, Austin. [SPEAKER_05]: This man has been displayed and marketing across the entirety of the internet and TV to protect people all of the time.
[SPEAKER_05]: One-ton armor, energy shielding, sensors out the Wah-Zoo for every single spectrum you can think of, and he cares about the elderly. [SPEAKER_05]: Jessica? [SPEAKER_01]: with the brains of a police officer with a long career from the 2000s to the heart and soul of a character who has lived 200 years, Nick Valentine respects the elderly and has excellent manners he walk across and call her sweetheart at the end.
[SPEAKER_08]: You guys are really good at framing these arguments and sounds like you all are running for office or something, which is great. [SPEAKER_08]: Sorry, but not. [SPEAKER_04]: I mean, he's the incredible Hulk. [SPEAKER_04]: He would pick this old lady up, put her over his shoulder, walk across the street, who cares if a bus hits him.
[SPEAKER_04]: He's the Hulk and the bus, I hate to be the bus hitting the Hulk. [SPEAKER_04]: No matter what crosses his path, that old lady's making it with that chicken. [SPEAKER_08]: She has a chicken? [SPEAKER_08]: Yeah, the one that falls across the road. [SPEAKER_08]: Is that like food or is it like a pet?
[SPEAKER_08]: No, no, no. [SPEAKER_08]: Why did the chicken cross the road? [SPEAKER_08]: I get it, but is she going to eat the chicken or is he might? [SPEAKER_04]: I don't know. [SPEAKER_04]: I'm not in that order. [SPEAKER_04]: Chicken. [SPEAKER_04]: I'm not for my offer. [SPEAKER_04]: Okay. [SPEAKER_04]: Okay.
[SPEAKER_07]: Just wondering, Jeremy, uh, well, should get there very quickly, because the Dremlin will just pick her up and throw her. [SPEAKER_08]: Okay, all right, so I didn't say safely, it just had help. [SPEAKER_08]: Help an old woman across the street. [SPEAKER_08]: So I guess that counts. [SPEAKER_08]: All right, so we've got, again, we've got the Gremlin Bruce Banner slash the Hulk, Nick Valentine, Master Chief, Randy Marsh, and Legion.
[SPEAKER_08]: All right, now we need some votes here. [SPEAKER_08]: Who? [SPEAKER_08]: is voting for Legion. [SPEAKER_08]: Anybody? [SPEAKER_08]: All right, no votes for Legion, who's voting float? [SPEAKER_08]: Did you vote for Legion, Jess? [SPEAKER_08]: I am switching my colors to Legion. [SPEAKER_08]: Okay, vote for Legion.
[SPEAKER_08]: One vote for Legion. [SPEAKER_08]: All right, I'm gonna mark this down. [SPEAKER_08]: All right, what about Randy Marsh? [SPEAKER_08]: Any votes for Randy Marsh? [SPEAKER_08]: No votes for Randy Marsh, Master Chief. [SPEAKER_08]: One vote for Master Chief, okay. [SPEAKER_08]: Nick Valentine.
[SPEAKER_08]: three votes for Nick Valentine. [SPEAKER_08]: Oh boy, Bruce Banner. [SPEAKER_08]: I think that's every. [SPEAKER_08]: I think everyone's voted. [SPEAKER_08]: I think. [SPEAKER_08]: Yeah. [SPEAKER_08]: That's, yeah, everyone's vote. [SPEAKER_08]: That's five votes. [SPEAKER_05]: No, I didn't vote.
[SPEAKER_05]: I was going to vote for Gremlins. [SPEAKER_05]: You're going to vote for Gremlins. [SPEAKER_05]: Okay, you didn't vote. [SPEAKER_05]: Okay. [SPEAKER_08]: He's throwing the lady. [SPEAKER_08]: How is that helpful? [SPEAKER_08]: He's 60 of you. [SPEAKER_08]: That five of you. [SPEAKER_08]: He's throwing it all women.
[SPEAKER_08]: Well, throwing the woman does not beat Nick Valentine. [SPEAKER_08]: Congratulations, Jessica. [SPEAKER_08]: Star, you are the winner of our competition today. [SPEAKER_08]: You have the best arguments and the best characters for doing all sorts of random things. [SPEAKER_08]: Congratulations.
[SPEAKER_01]: Thank you, I loved everybody's characters. [SPEAKER_01]: This was awesome to hear. [SPEAKER_08]: Yeah, this was super fun. [SPEAKER_08]: I love all of the different creative answers. [SPEAKER_08]: And I also love what some of you were just like, nah, my character sucks at that. [SPEAKER_08]: No, honestly, it was very nice.
[SPEAKER_08]: But everybody, thank you for being here. [SPEAKER_08]: We're just gonna recap real quick. [SPEAKER_08]: We'll go back through. [SPEAKER_08]: Let's still, let's actually go backwards this time from N7 through. [SPEAKER_08]: Who are you? [SPEAKER_08]: Why should people check out your shows?
[SPEAKER_08]: What are they? [SPEAKER_08]: And also, thanks for being here. [SPEAKER_08]: Sam, go ahead. [SPEAKER_08]: Who am I? [SPEAKER_05]: I'm not going to have an existential crisis now. [SPEAKER_05]: No, I'm in seven legend. [SPEAKER_05]: I host the Mass Effect lore cast. [SPEAKER_05]: I also streamed a Twitch most of the time.
[SPEAKER_05]: I'm streamed Mass Effect, but lately I've been streamed a lot of fallout. [SPEAKER_05]: A lot of tales of two wastelands mod, if you know that one. [SPEAKER_08]: This is a game called Fallout. [SPEAKER_05]: Yes, this is a game called follow-up. [SPEAKER_05]: I don't think any of us are part of it.
[SPEAKER_05]: Oh, no, I'm at the mod specifically, but it combines follow-up three in the end of this. [SPEAKER_05]: But yeah, I am live with the Mass Effect Lorkast every week on Tuesdays.
