He endured persecution in Makkah, left behind everything he knew, and arrived in Madinah with almost nothing to his name. When offered wealth, land, and comfort, he simply asked:“Show me the marketplace.”From those humble beginnings grew one of the greatest fortunes in the early Muslim community. Caravans hundreds of camels long would eventually enter Madinah carrying his goods. Gold seemed to find its way into his hands almost as quickly as he could give it away.And give it away he did.Again and again.To the poor. To the soldiers. To the Mothers of the Believers. To those who had sacrificed beside the Prophet ﷺ.
