Good Morning Football is a production of the NFL in partnership with iHeartRadio. Good morning football.

One of you said earlier in the show that the NFL is better when the AFC and the NFC North are playing well. Well, interestingly, both of those divisions are the only two remaining where all four teams have winning records. This is the latest in the NFL season that that has ever happened for both groups. But now the tests really begin for the Lions as they are set to face their first divisional opponent this Sunday when they host the Green Bay Packers. And Dan Campbell is well aware of who makes the Packers so sweet.

They've just steadily gotten better and better, and they're playing at a very high level right now. Offensively, love, man. He makes it go. He is the secret sauce. And Watson and Golden, man, they are dangerous threats down the field, and he's going to give them opportunities. That shows up every week.

All right, let's find the other secret sauces, sauce packets in the NFL. Who is another player for their team that you think, Manti, is the secret sauce for the team?

Well, when I watched the Jaguars and the Houston Texans game, that was the best I've seen C.J. Stroud play since. his rookie year, his ability to throw the ball down the football, throw the ball down the yard. And I really think this guy right here, Marvin Harrison Jr. is the secret sauce. Now listen to me on this. Not only because he is his teammates, but last year around this time, the Jacksonville Jaguars made a trade Jamie for Jacoby Myers. And there were a good offensive outfit, but for some reason, when they made this trade for Jacoby, that is what we see with the Jacksonville Jaguars offense and how explosive it is. Can Harrison Jr., Marvin Harrison Jr., be the Jacoby Myers this year? I think he can.

It was already stacked wide receiver room, yet there are still some gaps that they needed to fill. And Marvin Harrison Jr., I think, will be and is the secret sauce to that Houston, Texas offense and exploded. That's my secret sauce. Yeah, you're talking about secret sauce. That'll be some Carolina barbecue sauce. And tangy sweet.

I digress. Nevertheless, man, let's talk about Bryce Young. Please don't.

He is the secret sauce for the Carolina Panthers. You got to talk about a young man who's not only been benched. A lot of people have a lot of mean things to say. Too short, can't see over the office line. But this year, he has been able to elevate the offense. And he is one of the main reasons why they're humming at a high level, especially with the decorated pieces they have around them. Chubba Hubbard. You talk about Coker. You talk about this offensive line. Bryce Young has arrived, man. And I'm going to jump out there.

I'm going to say it. It's time to give this man an extension.

He is your franchise quarterback for the future. Backed by a really good defense. Bryce Young this year has 11 touchdowns and only two interceptions.

He's thrown for over 1,500 yards. This man has not only matured, but he has won me over. So I'm going with Bryce Young as a secret star.

Yeah, what is that number going to be the longer he waits, huh? You know when you say like, oh, so-and-so is outpacing another guy at this position. Well, that's like embarrassing for the other guy. What if one player is outpacing an entire team? What if that one player is outpacing the team that let him walk after being their Super Bowl MVP? Because Kenneth Walker III, who sits at 665 rushing yards through five games for the Kansas City Chiefs, officially has run the ball more yardage than the Seahawks in total, who have played six games at 643 yards this season. Kenneth Walker III, I cannot imagine how happy Patrick Mahomes is turning around and having that man come out of the backfield for the Chiefs. He

is the Chiefs' secret sauce. Mahomes can be an impeccable quarterback, but you're only as good as your run game goes, and they have to be very, very grateful that he is in Kansas City.

Very true.

Moving on. The Bills escaped a West Coast swing by beating the Rams in overtime and the Raiders in Vegas. Both of those games resulted in the win.

That's fine.

But the Bills also gave up 64 points on this trip. They're on the bye now with a 5-on-1 record. So here's Joe Brady begging his team to only focus on the future.

I told the guys this after the game, like our best football has to be ahead of us, right? Whatever, whatever that means, right? Like, and you never want to peak early in the season. You don't, if you're playing your best football in September, there's a problem. And so how do we continue to improve? How do we, um, how do we continue to learn coaches and players, how the game's being played, how teams are playing us? How do we learn how we're playing with one another, you know, with the newness and guys moving parts. And if we're playing our best football right now, it's not going to look good as the season goes. And so, um, I hope better is ahead. We didn't, you know, and, uh, And that's what we're chasing.

All right, week six is in the books. Here we go on week seven, which means one third of the season is behind us. Which team, Manti, would you say is hitting their stride right now?

Okay, so this team, weeks one through three, was probably the team that everybody questioned the most. But the Patriots, Drake made, do you know how many passing touchdowns he threw the first three weeks of the season?

One.

You know how many he's thrown since then?

Ten.

When you talk.

About catching your stride, I think that's more like catching on fire. And you already know that that defense with Mike Vrabel at the helm of that thing has been the backbone of that team.

You know, obviously, A.J.

Brown gets back last week. He had a bunch of drop passes, but that comes with time off. I think he'll get back into that groove of catching the football and being the weapon that Drake May needs him to be. But this Patriots team has been on fire the past couple weeks. And Drake May, shout out to Drake May, somebody who was getting a lot of flack in media for his turnover situation, has been on fire.

So I got the Patriots, Will.

Oh, let's go to Green Bay. It's obviously the Packers. This team started off one and two, and a lot of people was like, what's going on with the Pack attack?

Nothing.

Jonah Love has it all under control. We talk about Mara Golden. You talk about this office line with no run game, by the way. All that said, man, if they can't run it, they can throw it. And you talk about two significant wins they had.

They beat the.

Be careful here. They beat up on the Chicago Bears. I almost put one out there, Jamie. And they also had their way with the Dallas Cowboys. All that said, man, it's the Packers. They're heating up. The defense is playing at a high level. Offensively, they can score. They're getting stronger as they go.

And they're going to get guys back here soon enough. You know, have you seen those things on the Internet where it's like, oh, you're so mean, and then it says, I could be meaner. I haven't been annoying enough about the Minnesota Vikings. I've waited. I've been very patient. All right. This is what I mean.

Wow.

They're coming off a bye. And now the last two thirds of the season is what matters here. All right. They have the fewest yards per game scored by any or put on the field by any team that has been on a 10 game winning streak because that goes back to last season. They only allow 12 points per game, which is unheard of. In the league right now, you've got to come in there, the Colts, by the way, who just fired their GM, so they're kind of messy right now. I think the Vikings will win this weekend, but then I think they've got to play the Bills next.

And if that is, oh my gosh, because that's how we started this conversation. But the Bills give up some points, so here we go. I'm just warning you, it could get ugly if they keep winning. Lastly, after stumbling at the start of the season, as you mentioned, Manti, Patriots quarterback Drake May has returned to his 2025 form. He's got 10 TDs. He's got one pick. It's all well and good. But what is his secret sauce? Here we have the answer. In an interview with Men's Health recently, Drake May revealed his love for milkshakes, saying, quote, I try.

and do only two milkshakes a week.

Oh, nice.

I could drink three times a day a milkshake, but I won't. So Drake May, he's minimizing his milkshake intake. Manti, what is your one guilty pleasure that you have to limit yourself?

Well, everybody knows my thing with chocolate chip cookies, so I'm going to reserve that for another day because this is equally just as important to me. Miss Vicky's sour cream urban onion chips.

Oh.

That one is kettle. Don't take the bag. Just let me eat the whole thing. I always say that this is my last chip, and then 10 chips later, I'm still on my last chip. Miss Vicky Sour Cream Urban Onion Chip.

Try it. You'll love it. Go to pleasure.

Yeah, I always appreciate a good gummy bear, that is. Albany's gummy bears, right? Love them, need them, appreciate them. Can't have enough of them.

Absolutely delicious.

It's spooky season, and there's a lot of nut allergies in school, so all the peanut M & Ms have to stay at my house.

Ooh.

They get them at different Halloween events. Costco's got the big bucket, which then I just get my hand into. Maybe I keep it in my bedside table. Don't worry about it, okay? Drake May, you're the one that's quarterbacking. All I got to do is sit here and talk about football. I can have all the peanut M & Ms that I like.

It's that yellow bag.

There's the Costco bag.

Get in my belly. That's Bob's weakness right there. I got to talk to Sam. Sam, get it off of the nightstand.

No, it's so good. I got chips in there. I got a popcorn bag. That's what the snacks are. Ben's like Campbell.

AJ got introduced after Drake May yesterday.

Is that your idea, someone else's.

Or did you not even care?

I'm sorry?

AJ got introduced after Drake May yesterday before the game.

Was it your idea?

There's things that I focus on and then I control, and there's things that I don't. And that's not one of them that I focus on.

Rabel's got beef with that question, man. Time for what's your beef presented by Old Trapper Beef Turkey. I'm just kidding. He has to address a lot of things in the media in New England. But deciding the player order for the starting lineup for the Patriots when they have a home game is not one of them. The question was why was A.J. Brown announced after Drake May? Now we're beefing in the commercial because I'm like, come on, wide receivers.

Don't do this to me. I want to love you, but you're being a little high maintenance and I hate that. Manti's like, it's not their choice.

Yeah, just a.

Little behind the scenes. It's not the head coach's choice. He really doesn't have any say in what happens. And usually what happens, right, Willie, is somebody comes into the locker room.

No, they don't come.

As we're walking out of the locker room, they'll say, hey, offense is being called up. You're first, you're second, you're third. And they set the list. Sometimes they'll have a paper.

As to who.

So I don't know who made that decision, but I know that Mike Frabel didn't Willie.

Yeah, I just kind of just lineman ready.

Time to go.

I like this teams that no matter what like only the defense gets announced.

Yeah.

And I feel like the Patriots used to be that and maybe were able to avoid all questions of being annoyed and perturbed with those situations. And the presser should just go all defense for all the time.

There are some teams that they don't do the individual.

They go both. They do both. Yeah, it's not. But you know what? A defense called up is usually for like a prime time.

Willie, did you have like a weapon X move or anything when you had the starting lineup?

When I came out, I was like, oh, I'm like, come on. I'll be right there.

I'm going to give you help, guys.

Good morning, football.

Keep in mind, Jalen Hurts opting to play in this game in London was coming off of the heels of Lane Johnson's retirement. You can imagine the player and what he means to the city and what he knows he wants to embody in terms of representing himself and the team. He wanted to be out there. I can imagine this thing, it snowballs incredibly fast and it's incredibly serious. So, Manti, now that we know all these facts, what do you make now of it today?

Number one, Jalen Hurts. There are two types of players, right, Willie? There's players that you have to motivate, and then there's players that you have to pull back. Jalen Hurts is one of those guys that I think everybody knows, whether you're a player or a fan, that he's a guy that you have to pull him back. You really have to tell him, no, you're not playing. Now, as far as Nick Sirianni being the guy up there, Answering the questions.

I do believe Nick is like he didn't know from what I know about head coaches is they go to the medical professionals and the medical professionals.

Tell him, yes, he's a go. No, he's not a go.

Nick Sirianni then says.

OK, cool.

I have 50, 52 other guys that I have to worry about. My franchise quarterback, according to his medical doctors, are saying he's clear to go.

He's playing.

There could be a conversation, Willie, that Nix goes up to Jalen and said, Jalen, are you good?

Right. Knowing Jalen, he's like, yes, I'm good. Right.

I just think that regardless if you don't know what a superficial blood clot is or not, if the guy stays up for longer than 24 hours, that is a huge red flag already.

And then he has to go out and play a football game. I couldn't play a football.

Game getting less than eight hours of sleep, seven hours of sleep, let alone not sleeping at all. So there are just certain things that happen, Willie, throughout the course of those 48 hours, whatever it was, that you just question the medical professionals of this all happened. Jalen was going through all of these symptoms, and yet you still thought it was okay for him to travel. I don't know about that.

Yeah, the problem is every detail we hear thus far is foggy. We just don't know. There's pieces that are kind of empty along the way. And I think if you... And to your point, I understand what you're saying, man. Sometimes you got to take the gloves off the fighter. You can't let them into the ring. And that's all.

But we all understand that, you know, Injuries in football can change the course of the season, but there's also a psychological impact, right? You're looking at Jalen Hurts right now, who was trying to will this team to victory week after week. And what we saw out of this, he was often, especially in the second half, is that because he was being conservative, because they struggled to close games, and be efficient and win football games, man. He probably felt like, man, if everything else, I'm going to go down with the ship, right? I know what we look like offensively. I know we struggle to run the ball.

We don't have an office line. But I owe it to these guys to be on the field and doing what I do and lead this team to victory, even when I know I'm deficient across the board. I think I struggle with not only Jalen Hurts because, valid.

Yes, he's a fighter and he's a competitor.

I think I struggle with somebody in his locker room that he's probably close to who said, dog, you don't look good today, right?

Because we're all trying to hold each other accountable.

I've been on the field where I know I shouldn't have been on the field due to some injuries, but I also had guys like Nick Mango, may God rest his soul, say, hey, dog, you know, it's okay, we.

Got this one. Like, you disagree.

Expected somebody to step in and look at Jalen Hurts.

You know when your guy is not himself, right?

And so that's what I look at, like, who was around Jalen for those 48 hours? Because you know how Saturday nights are, right? You go into the hotel, you have dinner, you have your meetings, right? And then you have a little, you kind of get stretched and get ready for the day before. You know you have a best friend on the team that gives you the eye test. Ballplayers, we give each other the eye test. You know when a guy's hurt and you know when a guy's not all the way right.

I don't even think he was hurt.

He wasn't there.

He was at the hospital.

That leads to another thing.

There should have been somebody on his team that should have stepped up and said, dog, I don't think this one's for you.

Let's fight another day. That's just my opinion about it. It's an ugly story and there's something about it that stinks.

They're losing the crowd too fast and I don't mean just the internet crowd or people online.

I mean, journalists, national journalists, writers.

People who do this for a living, people who will cover the Eagles for a living, they're losing them fast. When you give the public statement and it's all in the green font and it appears extremely produced, There's no candor. It's just, it's this headline that you're not gonna make people comfortable with that explanation. It's a starter. Jamie mentioned that.

It's like, we're gonna set the table. Here's our statement. And then there's follow ups about what happened. I mean, I look at this and I'm a fan. I'm just, my eyes are glazing over. I'm like, what the hell happened to my quarterback? And was he at risk of more serious things happening to him?

You glaze over.

And then they take Sirianni and stick him out there to just get the crap kicked out of him by questions he's not fit to answer, doesn't want.

To answer, or both.

I completely agree with our ESPN colleague, Marcus Spears, who said the people that should be out there answering questions are the owner, the GM, and everyone in charge of the medical decisions. Nick Sirianni is like, you want to ask me about the run game or clock management?

Fine.

You just put him out there, and all he's saying is, well, I refer to the medical people. Well, then put the medical people out there. And when you don't put them out there, guess what it looks like? It looks like you're hiding something. It looks like you're hiding. Something weird happened, right? You're telling me you have this whole international flight. You're there in London. You realize what he's got. The medical people are like, yeah, we love it. He should go out there and play. Or is there any possibility you lost two games in a row, your season was on a brink, and you're like, eh.

Jalen, let's put him out there.

Because in doing so, in doing anything that approaches that, like you're really violating the trust, not just with that player, but with all the players, with all the fans, with everybody. You're supposed to protect him. Jalen's not going to say I'm not going to go.

Are you kidding me?

Jalen's got a calf issue and he can't play in London.

That's how it would be.

After what Caleb went through for going off on the cart with the towel over his head, he got massacred for a month. You think Jalen's gonna be like, yeah, I'm good. I know we lost two in a row and everything, but I got this calf thing. I'm not sure what it is, but I'm out. Go with Tanner. It would never happen. It's not his job.

I respect that it would never happen. Something stinks.

It's not a unique opinion.

Everybody out there feels that way. And the best way you can cover things up His full disclosure, candor, ask me anything you want. Here's our medical advisor who was there. Here's the GM. Here's the owner. We're all there to have a big press conference because our franchise quarterback is out for the season. And there may have been some things that went on that put him at risk. Evil deeds, whatever they are, you can cover them up. They may go away for a while, but they still stink. And you got to address it head on because another Twitter statement.

Or Sirianni blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah.

It does nothing except make the people more angry and more eager for what really happened to Jalen.

It's only week six to that head coach has to sit up there every single week and they will not let this go. The Philadelphia media. I think what Jeff McClain was trying to get to, and Mike Garofalo, you can weigh in on this, is that they asked Nick Sirianni an initial question, and he really tried to use the medical as his defense. The subsequent question was, but were you informed, which immediately becomes more of the human element, which then implies— like, Nick Sirianni is in between a rock and a hard place, because all they're asking is, did you know? And he went to medical professional, which immediately becomes frustrating, and that's how you got that soundbite. So— How do you think Philadelphia is going to handle this

moving forward in terms of the constant peppering? Because it won't just be Sirianni. It will be the players, to Willie's point, too. Every time someone shows up at their locker and a microphone is stuck in their face, they are going to be like a dog looking for a bone for understanding what happened here.

Jamie, there's a league meeting in New York today. I'll be heading to Manhattan shortly. as a part of that.

And usually Jeffrey Lurie is there, the Eagles owner. I will try my best to grab him and talk to him and see if maybe he can have some energy. It doesn't get any higher than that at that point, right? When you're talking about ownership. So we'll see if he's available. I did see someone on social media today point out the fact that when Andy Reid was the coach of the Eagles, they would bring Rick Bulk.

He does this with the Chiefs, by the way. Rick Burkholder.

Their head trainer to get up. And anytime it was any kind of medical question or an injury question, he would try to answer it to the best of his ability. The Eagles have not done that to this point. Perhaps they will do that in.

The near future.

Again, though, you're talking about a very, very private player, very private player.

Yes. And so this stuff is going on.

I get what you're saying. I do.

But I also understand how they're trying to work with him as well, because, again, it's beyond the above and beyond a typical football injury.

But I am with you.

I still think we need someone other than Nick Sirianni who's not just going to point back to statements. and is going to give some more detailed answers.

And in that statement, it says that Jalen Hurts will still be around the team, it sounds like, as long as treatment is going smoothly.

I'd love to hear from him. Let's get him back out.

I would love to talk to him. I got questions for him as well, such as, as I pointed out earlier, why didn't you pull yourself? And I get it.

This is one of the more competitive dudes.

And maybe this is a lesson for all the players out there at all levels. is that we talk about football. It's life and death. It's war.

It's all these analogies that we use.

There's stuff that's bigger than football.

And maybe, just maybe, someone out there will go, you know what?

I don't want that to.

Happen to me because then it travels to my lungs and all that stuff. Pull yourself if you're not comfortable. Talk to people. Let people know what you're thinking.

And the fact that he was in London this whole time is tricky as well because how well informed are you after a flay? You don't have your people around you. It's just... It's... challenging situation mike let us know how that goes in new york uh we'll we'll tap back into that real quick is baker mayfield okay i know we wanted to get to that real quick.

Uh baker mayfield baker mayfield's gonna try to do some stuff this week they need to see him throw as as of uh the start of this week they're planning as if it's gonna be jaylen daniels let's see if baker mayfield can surprise to the upside with that dislocated thumb he's close don't know if it'll be this week.

Very good mike g have fun in new york today until then we'll roll on on gmfb.

Good morning, football.

Good morning, football.

Let's turn our attention to the other business at hand at the league meeting. One of the big pieces of news that came out yesterday is Peter O'Reilly, the league executive in charge of international games, said that the league will probably want to play 10 international games next season. They are playing nine this season. That nine is the most they have ever played. Ten would obviously be the most they've ever played. And ten is also the most they are allowed to play under the current CBA with the players. So to go beyond ten— They would need to negotiate with the players. Certainly, it is expected that when the league and the union sit down to negotiate a new CBA, that the league will be pushing to

play a 16-game international slate. every team would play one international.

Game every season.

As for the international game that's coming up in a few days in Paris, Peter O'Reilly said the league has, despite the civil unrest that's been going on in Paris over the last few weeks, that the NFL never thought about postponing that game or moving the game. It is all systems go. The NFL, of course, has A huge security operation, and it will be especially vigilant this weekend with the game in Paris. But everything is going ahead as scheduled in Paris this weekend.

Well, fans are gifted a great matchup. Both teams coming off a win. That is Sunday morning of Week 7. But Week 7 begins tomorrow night. So let's make sure we're of the understanding for all players involved, injuries, and those who are still on teams. Let's start with the New York Giants team nearby you guys.

And they are, John, shaking up things in the running back room, releasing Najee Harris yesterday. And the running back room has been, no doubt, a topic of conversation. Cam Scadaboo, very famously, last week, did not get carries after being the starting running back. for several weeks into the season, being the most productive running back. Some fumbles ended up being pushed to the side. Najee Harris got a little bit of run, as did some others. He was then released as the Giants continued to shake up their running back room. Meanwhile, Mike, we're still waiting on news of the.

Giants' starting quarterback.

Is it going to be J.J.

McCarthy?

Is it going to be Jameis Winston? They practiced today at 1. Perhaps more information coming, but we will get to that when we get to it.

Meantime, the Rams having to figure out who is going to kick in place of Blake Grupe, one of many injuries suffered on Sunday. Grupe only had, what, half a game as the Rams kicker. Now it'll be Brandon McManus moving forward, the veteran now in his 13th NFL season, if I'm recalling correctly. He went up against Matt Prater, another veteran in a workout yesterday. The Rams opting to go with McManus.

Kicking highlights.

Kicking highlights.

Let's talk long enough that we have to show all of them.

Let's see.

You think this one's good? Probably, right? Probably.

Split it right down the middle. Brandon McManus, the Rams, hoping he does plenty of that.

All right.

Ian? Oh.

Mike Evans.

Yeah, let's talk about Mike Evans.

Mike Evans, yes. No, I got it.

Let's talk about Mike Evans and the San Francisco 49ers. Avoided major injury. You hate to see Achilles out. That's what you never want to see. This is Achilles tendonitis.

It's not a full tear.

It's something that the San Francisco 49ers are going to have to monitor. They believe that Mike Evans will be able to play the next week's game, but obviously we're going to continue. continue to keep keeping track of this one moving.

49ers, no strangers to Achilles tendonitis. Christian McCaffrey was dealing with that a couple of years ago. Remember that one?

That was an issue for them. So it is a painful condition and something has to be managed. They're hopeful Mike Evans will be able to manage it, Jamie.

Yeah, the word nagging and the Achilles, I feel like should never go hand in hand and that must be very uncomfortable for those guys. Judy, Mike G, Repsheet, thank you so much. We'll get back to you if anything changes. This guy's happy about that news for Mike Evans, at least that it's not a tear, obviously, that it's just Achilles tendonitis. San Francisco 49ers are rolling. Vikings coming off a bye. And the Kansas City Chiefs also have already had their bye. What do those three teams have in common?

They all have zeros next to the amount of wins they have this season. These are their opponents for Week 7. Niners, Falcons, Colts at the Vikings. Chiefs going to Seattle. Kenneth Walker III going up against his former team. I ask you guys this. Which undefeated team remaining in the NFL intrigues you the most right now?

I'm going to go with the Minnesota Vikings. I like what the 49ers have. Obviously, they need Mike Evans back because you saw the drop in the production offensively when he got hurt going into halftime. I'm so happy that these guys are back. A lot of people don't want to see them succeed. I love that the Chiefs are back to being worthwhile. Shout out to Kenneth Walker. But the Vikings intrigued me because of this. They have the best defense in not only the division, in the entire NFL.

They have possibly the best wide receiver room with Justin Jefferson, Jordan Addison. They have a really good run game, Kevin O'Connell. The biggest question mark is Kyler Murray. Now, Kyler in last and two weeks ago game against the Saints, showed spurts and bright spots of what could be. So it is intriguing to me that you have all of these things over there in Minnesota. You have everything's ready to go.

You just need the guy to drive the ship. And Kyler Murray, there's so much expectation and pressure on this guy that I hope that he's able to get back into his group a little bit. Remember, he didn't play a lot the past year, right?

So there's some.

Feeling out that he's been doing hopefully this bye week that was able to help him out a little bit. So I got the Minnesota Vikings.

It intrigued me yesterday having Adam Thielen on the show. He fully admitted. He's like, anybody that thinks that you're going to hit the ground running after training camp is unrealistic. It takes time. So maybe that's he was implying that that's what's coming for Kyler.

Yeah, it's the Kansas City Chiefs, right?

At the bottom line, going into the season, there was so much question about the state of Patrick Mahomes, his knee, will he go back to being an MVP-style quarterback? They even questioned Anthony, what are you going to do with this receiving core?

Can you be able to light it up?

There's so much question about this offense. And then a man walked into Kansas City by the name of Kenneth Walker, Super Bowl MVP, to be exact. Nevertheless, man, he has stabilized his offense. He has taken the bricks off of Patrick Mahomes' shoulders. Now, because they have not only a run game, but the Chiefs got the edge back. You understand, when the Chiefs were humming at a high level, they had a run game. And credit Eric Biennium. He doesn't get enough credit, man. When you see the alignment and the way they play football, Patrick Mahomes is not only being able to start the season by not only trusting his legs.

But trusting the run game.

They've been eating it up in between the 20s, and they're effective in the red zone as well.

So, yeah, the Chiefs. They may be back.

Seahawks better be careful, too. If they drop this game and you consider the fact that this team sits in their division, that is going to be an upward climb for them because they still have to play once more as well. All right, Manti. I think I know where you will go with this question, but what if I challenge you to pick a different unit?

Challenge!

If I say which undefeated team, unless you want to go more on the Vikings defense.

Okay, go ahead.

Which undefeated team has the best unit?

The best unit.

So we're talking about best running back room, best all-in.

Yeah, yeah, yeah.

You already know where I was going to go.

I'll pivot a little bit. You mentioned it. Kenneth Walker III.

Nice.

Probably the best free agent addition this year. I mean, you got to see what he's been able to do with Patrick Mahomes and that offense. Eric Bien-Ami, knowing what he did over there in Chicago for the Chicago Bears last year in that backfield. Now you pair him up with the Super Bowl or... current Super Bowl MVP. The guy is running all over everybody. And he's got the opportunity to be the lead back. In Seattle, he's always splitting carries with everybody. And it's just like, give him the opportunity to show what he can do, what he did at Michigan State, running over everybody. He has been the best thing for Patrick Mahomes. He's the reason why.

I think he was your secret sauce guy? Whose secret sauce was he?

Mine.

Yours, Jamie?

Yeah, yeah, yeah.

He's not only the secret sauce, but he's the best unit. The running back room is really one guy, and it's Kenneth Walker.

Interestingly about Kenneth Walker III, it's just coming back into my memory. Part of his story involves being in high school. He actually suffered from blood clots in his lungs, and he had to be sat down for weeks at a time. He was in the hospital. He was breathless. As a high school football player, he thought he was never going to play again. He obviously was dealt with, and he received treatment, and he went on to have, as you said, won the Doak Walker at Michigan State and to Seattle, but just with the news right now.

Best unit.

Yes, that's a good one. That's a good one. Oh, here we go.

Coast to coast.

The best unit in football is the San Francisco 49ers offensive line.

Okay.

Oh, Trent Williams.

Oh, now you know I was going to go with the big fellas.

Bottom line, if you're going to consider the San Francisco 49ers offensive Ferrari, you got to look at the engine, and the engine is this offensive line. You got to understand, last season they averaged 3.8 on the ground.

Now they're averaging 5.1. 5.1 the first couple of weeks. No sacks. They only have 12 pressures on the season.

This offensive line is humming at a high level.

And as much as you want to talk about Brock Purdy.

And all these things and George Kettle in the motion orbit, all.

These things that Kyle Shannon is able to do with this office. They cannot do.

It without the front five and Trent Williams. I love this unit because not only are they physical, they're nasty, but they want the smoke.

So the best unit in football, office line. Poonie. Poonie is a monster. Monster, yeah.

I swear on one of the touchdowns that Christian McCaffrey scored, Trent Williams just grabbed someone's shoulder pads and laid him down. He was just like, just lay down and be better for you. And then CMC walked in.

Christian wasn't touched on one of those.

That's what I'm saying.

I'm going to go back.

I feel like I'm in your way.

Go ahead.

It was a good little do-si-do, though.

All right.

Pick a player from one of these undefeated teams and then suggest what they should be for Halloween next weekend, Manti. Although it's not next weekend. We were just talking about how there's already parties starting.

Yes, there are. There's already Halloween. Go ahead.

I'm so glad you challenged me Jamie, because I just realized that if I would have stayed the same, it would have been the same team. Because the guy that I would love to see in a Halloween costume, because it has to be fitting, right? Andrew Van Genkel with the hair as Thor.

Good.

It has to also have remnants of a Viking.

Yes. It's just perfect. Yes.

It's just perfect. And then Thor has this thing where he puts his hand out and the hammer comes to him. For some reason, if you run a little flare screen to Andrew Van.

Genkel's side, That ball just, he just intercepts the ball.

I don't know why people could continue to run those orbit screens that you're talking about, Willie, to this man's side, because he always intercepts the ball. So, Jamie, thank you for having me audible. Because I just realized that I was just, I've been pro Vikings, guys.

I get it. You're a man obsessed with the Vikings defense.

Andrew Van Ginkle, Thor, fitting.

I wish I knew the Marvel Universe a lot better, because I feel like they could just go, the whole defense could be different guys from those movies.

Yeah, yeah, yeah.

I want Harrison Smith to be somewhere. Harrison would be a good one.

Ant-Man.

Showing a lot of range there, Manti.

You in that movie?

I'm going to stay. Van Ginkle as Thor? Nobody saw that coming.

Okay, what's your original idea, Willie?

Well, I got Fred Warner.

What is he going to be?

Fred Warner. And I'm going to stay in the Marvel Universe with you, Manti. Okay. I'm going to throw all rocks.

He could be Killmonger from Black Panther.

Played by Michael B. Jordan. Nice. Look at that.

Fred Warner.

And you got to understand, Fred Warner is not only a dog, but he's a methodical dog, right?

He sees the ball before it's snapped. He knows where to go. He's a hitting machine. Have you seen Black Panther, Jamie? No. It's awesome. Oh, great. Well, now you got homework. Now you got some homework to do. Willie, that is so good. And he's the man.

The Marvel movies intimidate me so much, much the way that an undefeated team would in the NFL. They are produced a certain order, but then you're supposed to watch them in a different order. And just like, it's exhausting. I can't keep up with those guys.

So Jamie, there's a scene where Killmonger is fighting T'Challa.

Yeah.

And he's over there and he's like.

Played by Chad Rabot.

Yeah.

And he says, is this your king after he beats up T'Challa?

Like, that's Fred Warner. Yeah.

Fred Warner just.

Goes- He just holds your quarterback. Is this your king? Is this your king? Is this your king?

He's been to the refs this past weekend.

He's like, is this your flag? He's like, no, no, no, no.

Okay, wait, I got one. Adlib, Tony Stark, Travis Kelsey.

We don't have to answer that.

Good morning, football.
