ONE HOT FEST: JAMES HUNTER AND LUCY LOVEGROVE ON THE LATCHER

ONE HOT FEST – MIFF is a special mini-series from One Heat Minute Productions. Host Blake Howard takes you inside the Melbourne International Film Festival — from filmmaker interviews and festival dispatches to reviews and discussions with guests and critics.

To celebrate the Australian Premiere of The Latcher at the Melbourne International Film Festival (miff.com.au/program/film/the-latcher), I talked with director James Hunter and star Lucy Lovergrove about fusing elemental and crushing emotional realities, sharing a rarely seen side of Australia, and shooting a movie on weekends that felt like a school camp.
