Greetings. My name's Anthony Reeves, and I'm gonna take a little bit of time to give you some information about little things that can affect your Social Security case. After you've been approved for today's discussion. We're gonna talk about warrants. Most people don't realize that if you have a warrant for your arrest, that may prevent you from being able to get Social Security benefits. Now, I know this may sound kind of crazy to follow me on this one.

Under the law for Social Security, if you are in the custody of a state agency or of a governmental agency, which means you're in jail or there's warrant for your arrest, you're not entitled to receive any disability benefits. Now, this is crucial because some instances, when people have a warrant for their arrest, they don't understand that until they clear that warrant up, you're not gonna get your disability benefits. And unfortunately, most people don't realize that most of the things that relates to your benefits is attached to your Social Security number.

So what do you think if there's a warrant, it's gonna pop? And I hate to be the bear of bad news. There's no amount of crying, complaining, whining or moaning is going to clear that up until you actually go down to the court and take care of it. In other words, social Security is not gonna give you your money as long as you have a warrant that's pending. Now most people understand if you're in jail or if you're in prison, of course you're not gonna get anything there. Warrants throw people because a lot of times they tend to pop up. You know, you may have had a speeding ticket and didn't forgot to pay it, or you may have had something happen in another state and you moved and you just just let it slip out your mind. Well, let me be the first

to tell you social Security will let it slip out their mind. So when you find yourself in a situation where you've been approved of Social Security benefits, make sure you make a point that as soon as you find out that you've received the warrant you want to clear it up. Also keep this in mind as well, your payments will be suspended until you get it cleared up.

So you can drag your feet all you want to, but for every month that you don't have it cleared up that suspension of your benefits now after twelve months, it then goes from suspension to termination. That means your benefits are cut off all together. So that means you have to start all over again. So, for those of you who may think I'm losing my mind when I'm telling you this, the moment you find that you have a warrant, take care of it right away. If you have any questions about this topic, feel free to email me at Anthony at Reeve's firm R E E V E sfirm dot com and I look forward to seeing you again. Hope this helped you out
