Being famous doesn’t mean you’ve made it. Justin Hawkins, frontman of The Darkness, joins us to discuss the reality behind rock star life — from appearing on Top of the Pops while still skint to the creative disagreements and compromises that come with keeping a band together.

Justin explains why he rarely listens to his own recordings, why he believes modern music has lost its edge, and how YouTube became a financial necessity when touring stopped. He also revisits his chaotic Top Gear appearances, the Ferrari 328 GTS he regrets selling, and why fulfilment matters more to him than happiness.
