Interrupt politely in English and return to your point after someone else speaks. The lesson covers three connected conversation skills: entering the discussion, allowing an interruption and continuing afterwards.
Youâll hear language for adding something briefly and for returning to the original subject, including âCan I quickly add something?â and âTo go back to my pointâ. These phrases help make the change of speaker or topic clear.
The situations include group conversations and professional discussions. Youâll practise interrupting politely, responding when someone interrupts you and returning to your point without sounding rude.
