Welcome back everybody. Hopefully you're enjoying the new podcasts and now revived ourselves. Let's get into it. Today's a story about the unseen front lines, and it's happening right in the heart of Europe. By the way, before we get started, to make sure to subscribe and hit that like button. On March twenty four, twenty twenty six, German and Spanish authorities pulled the trigger on a joint operation that should serve as a massive wake up call for anyone thinking the intelligence war is confined to the Donbas. They arrested two individuals, a Ukrainian national surgery and a Romanian woman allah. Now, on the surface, these aren't the faces you'd expect from Russian intelligence. You've got a Ukrainian and a Romanian nations
that have every reason to be wary of Moscow. But that's exactly why the Kremlin uses them. It's the gray zone of human intelligence. If you're a counterintelligence officer in Germany you're looking for Russian passports, you're not necessarily looking for the guy with Ukrainian papers who's just trying to find work. The target a critical drone supplier based in Germany.
This wasn't just a random hobby show. We're talking about a facility shipping high end, specialized technical equipment directly to the Ukrainian armed forces in a war where five hundred dollars FPV drones are taking out multi million dollar ten ninety tanks. The supply chain is everything. The allegations are straightforward but chilling. Sergey and Alla weren't just passing through.
They were conducting sustained professional surveillance. They were documenting logistics, timing shipments, and likely identifying the key personnel involved in the transit of these drones. When you know exactly when a shipman leaves a warehouse and what route it's taking, that equipment becomes a sitting duck for sabotage or long range strikes once it crosses the border. This is the reality of modern warfare. It's not just about who has the better rifle, It's about who has the better information.
Russia is desperate to choke off the technical superiority Ukraine has gained through Western tech, and they are using whoever they can recruit, regardless of nationality, to do it. Germany and Spain deserve credit for the coordination here. It's a win for the West, but don't kid yourself. For every Surgery and Allah that get arrested, there are likely a dozen more sitting in rental cars outside of munitions factories and logistic hubs across Europe. The perimeter is a lot wider than we think. Once again, folks, don't forget to subscribe and check out our other podcasts, stories of Special Forces operators. We also have Foreign Affairs Circle you don't want to miss those. Have a good one, Everybody
