Shownotes

The Supreme Court heard oral arguments Wednesday on the constitutionality of President Donald Trump's efforts to restrict birthright citizenship, a hearing in which the president himself was in attendance. Joining host Jimmy Hoover to break down the arguments is former New Jersey Attorney General Matt Platkin, who led a challenge to Trump's executive order during his time as the state's top law enforcement official. Platkin explains why he thinks a majority of the court is poised to reject Trump's policy and clearly establish the citizenship of U.S. born children, regardless of their parents' immigration status.
