Shownotes

<p>On Today’s cast we conclude our coverage of the Tanith first and only with a heavy dive into the events of the siege of Verghast. From the opening attack of Verunhive that exposed kind of all the failings of the leadership there. Through the constant meddling and politicking of the numerous lords and local commissars. Through the great victory brought about by Gaunt, his Tanith. And of course the ending of the book that made one of the host groan a the cheesiness of it all.</p><p><a href="patreon.com/The40kLorecast"; rel="nofollow">Patreon</a></p><p><a href="etsy.com/shop/The40kLorecast"; rel="nofollow">Merchandise</a></p><p><a href="Discord.gg/40klc"; rel="nofollow">Discord Link:</a></p><p><a href="the40klorecast.com/"; rel="nofollow">Our Website</a></p><p><a href="open.spotify.com/show/7dEDiuP31Ap81EHtWMS3LG?s…; rel="nofollow">Retro Recall</a></p><p><a href="youtube.com/@BradChester71"; rel="nofollow">Brad Channel</a></p><br/><br/>Our Sponsors:<br/>* Check out Progressive: progressive.com<br/>* Check out Quince and use my code 40KLORE for a great deal: quince.com<br/>* Check out Shopify and use my code shopify.com/lore for a great deal: shopify.com<br/><br/><br/>Ad… Inquiries: <a href='redcircle.com/brands'>https://redcircle.com… & Opt-Out: <a href='redcircle.com/privacy'>https://redcircle.co…;

[SPEAKER_00]: Welcome to the Forty K-Lorecast. [SPEAKER_00]: Welcome to Forty-K-Lorecast with me, John Barsati and Brad Chester. [SPEAKER_00]: This guy. [SPEAKER_00]: Today, we're continuing our coverage of the 10th first and only, and actually, you've probably got it concluded, guys, spoiler alert. [SPEAKER_01]: He is a funny conversation we had, everybody is.

[SPEAKER_01]: John calls me up and we're talking about what we're doing. [SPEAKER_01]: He's like, he man, like, we're the third cast. [SPEAKER_01]: And we're not done with the fourth, third. [SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, I'm sorry, fourth cast. [SPEAKER_01]: And we're a cast. [SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, fourth cast. [SPEAKER_01]: And we're not done with the third book.

[SPEAKER_01]: What do you want to do? [SPEAKER_01]: And I was like, we should probably do something else, or it's going to be the, it's not going to be the, or we can just be the guns ghost podcast for the next year. [SPEAKER_00]: So yeah, today we're going to finish up the story of the guest and give you guys a bit more of a taste of what comes next for the ghost, but really spent a lot of time on this conflict because this conflict is huge for this story, but also is a really good story about the imperial in general.

[SPEAKER_00]: So I love it a lot and we're going to cover that today, and then yes, or move on something else afterwards. [SPEAKER_00]: As always, 40K Lordcast, weekly show folks in the lore of the Warhammer 40K universe, releasing every Monday at 7 p.m. Eastern, please follow and comment because, yeah, it's helpful.

[SPEAKER_00]: Also, links in the show notes to really cool things like a YouTube channel that we will do a Q&A for. [SPEAKER_00]: Maybe they're a sponsor. [SPEAKER_00]: I say this month, and we're just going to go with depending on when you listen to it. [SPEAKER_00]: I'm deaf. [SPEAKER_00]: Oh, I linked a Brad's channel where he's covering the competitive side of the game.

[SPEAKER_00]: A link to our history of 40K where we're talking about the history of the game, the table top, and mostly just messing around, a link to my show retro recall where I'm messing on an old video games. [SPEAKER_00]: And of course, if you want to support us, I'll link to our merchandise and our Patreon.

[SPEAKER_00]: We have stickers. [SPEAKER_00]: We do. [SPEAKER_00]: So right, it has also has a mute button that he's never figured out yet, but it's fine. [SPEAKER_00]: Anyway, just the 50th time of had him sneeze into a microphone. [SPEAKER_00]: There we go. [SPEAKER_01]: Look, I'm fine now. [SPEAKER_00]: It's it all we're better and I just well, I forget at some point I would tell you that it was a mute button.

[SPEAKER_01]: You could just press this on the phone instead of swinging the microphone wildly far away from myself. [SPEAKER_00]: Yeah [SPEAKER_00]: I mean, it's fine. [SPEAKER_00]: If this is what I like, all right. [SPEAKER_00]: But as always, our Patreon. [SPEAKER_00]: Our Patreon is $4.99 a month.

[SPEAKER_00]: It gets you this show and the history of $40K ad free. [SPEAKER_00]: Or $4,556.67 Chilean pesos. [SPEAKER_00]: Because today, we're going to Santiago, Chile. [SPEAKER_00]: This last week's cast, [SPEAKER_00]: I decide to look up with the coldest country in Southern Hemisphere is, and apparently it's Chile, but it's kind of bullshit because it's just the part where Patagonia is, turns out, Brad.

[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, the Northern Hemisphere is a lot cold in the Southern Hemisphere, and I'm just not cool with this. [SPEAKER_00]: Like it's like, because it's not just us, we all said, listeners, Sweden and whatnot, there's no Sweden in the Southern Hemisphere. [SPEAKER_00]: Oh South Africa gets cold.

[SPEAKER_00]: No, it doesn't. [SPEAKER_00]: I have friends in South Africa. [SPEAKER_00]: No. [SPEAKER_00]: they own sweaters. [SPEAKER_00]: They don't own car heart. [SPEAKER_00]: So, uh, but anyway, I mentioned satiagrochili and we're doing satiagrochili. [SPEAKER_00]: Satiagro is the largest city and it's a capital in all of Chile and it's a lovely place.

[SPEAKER_00]: It's an hour and a half from the coast. [SPEAKER_00]: It's a really nice coast line by the way. [SPEAKER_00]: Lovely seafood. [SPEAKER_00]: So you get cooling breezes. [SPEAKER_00]: Great little spot. [SPEAKER_00]: But you'll get the nightmare. [SPEAKER_00]: It might never live coast or you get a lot of salt water coming and wrecking your house.

[SPEAKER_00]: You also get a lot more drizzle and BS. [SPEAKER_00]: So kind of being that far off the coast is nice. [SPEAKER_00]: Founded in 1541, Santiago is this really vibrant city. [SPEAKER_00]: Large green spaces, historical areas. [SPEAKER_00]: But also a lot of skyscrapers and modern amenities.

[SPEAKER_00]: And all of that with a cool view of the Andy's mountains. [SPEAKER_00]: Go there right there. [SPEAKER_00]: cuisine, really great. [SPEAKER_00]: As you guys know, I like food and they lean heavily into a kind of a few different things. [SPEAKER_00]: One Fresh fruit. [SPEAKER_00]: There's watermelon everywhere.

[SPEAKER_00]: They've also got this weird concoctions. [SPEAKER_00]: It's called the Monte Conquaito, which is a summer drink, which is wheat and dried peaches which sounds gross, but it's actually quite delicious. [SPEAKER_00]: They're also full of bread for some weird reason. [SPEAKER_00]: I don't know why they eat the the second most [SPEAKER_00]: consume what it how it says they consume the second most bread on the world next to the Germans.

[SPEAKER_00]: I didn't realize it was the Germans who eat the most bread either. [SPEAKER_00]: So there you go, Brad. [SPEAKER_00]: Don't go there. [SPEAKER_01]: I've been there. [SPEAKER_00]: Yeah. [SPEAKER_00]: How's that gluten allergy going for you? [SPEAKER_00]: Super good. [SPEAKER_00]: Love it.

[SPEAKER_00]: Really, super super fun. [SPEAKER_00]: Yeah. [SPEAKER_01]: I got developed allergies late in life that didn't even know that was a thing. [SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, awesome. [SPEAKER_00]: Go team. [SPEAKER_01]: Things are quite perfect. [SPEAKER_00]: Chileans are also, and I'm assuming this is a German influence.

[SPEAKER_00]: They like mayonnaise a lot and put on everything, including hot dogs, but they also put avocado on the hot dogs, and I've had these hot dogs, and they're really good. [SPEAKER_00]: It's really good. [SPEAKER_00]: Hot dogs are kind of weird anyway. [SPEAKER_00]: So whatever. [SPEAKER_00]: I do kind of leave also.

[SPEAKER_01]: I don't want everything else. [SPEAKER_00]: Avocado is always a win. [SPEAKER_00]: They've also got soap up here. [SPEAKER_00]: They've got past other chocolate. [SPEAKER_00]: They've got really great food. [SPEAKER_00]: And if you go there, there's a ton of stuff to do. [SPEAKER_00]: If you want something wild, go up the out of copper.

[SPEAKER_00]: If you've been there, the out of copper deserts are the most desolate places on earth. [SPEAKER_00]: And I don't think it's your lane to there for millions of years, something like that. [SPEAKER_00]: They've got beautiful beach and coastline. [SPEAKER_00]: You can hike. [SPEAKER_00]: You can parasail.

[SPEAKER_00]: Paraglide. [SPEAKER_00]: I'm afraid to hike, so none of those are going to happen. [SPEAKER_00]: But you can go nuts. [SPEAKER_00]: And it's got one of the best economies in all of South American. [SPEAKER_00]: It's one of the safest places to visit. [SPEAKER_00]: So really great place to go.

[SPEAKER_00]: Enjoy, have fun. [SPEAKER_00]: And of course, I was finished up with our discord. [SPEAKER_00]: Hop into the discord. [SPEAKER_00]: Ask us questions. [SPEAKER_00]: We will answer them. [SPEAKER_00]: Ask other people questions. [SPEAKER_00]: They will answer them. [SPEAKER_00]: Because that's what discord's for.

[SPEAKER_00]: And you know how much you're going to cost you to join our discord? [SPEAKER_00]: Zero dollars. [SPEAKER_00]: Because that's what discord's supposed to be. [SPEAKER_00]: Come on in. [SPEAKER_00]: Learn more about lore. [SPEAKER_00]: Terribly dumb questions and have no one get flamed you for it because it's not your fault you're new to the game and don't know something instead of Reddit, which is seriously a nightmare if I just spend a lot more time in Reddit recently because of 11th edition, it is not fun.

[SPEAKER_00]: Just not fun, but all right back in the cast. [SPEAKER_00]: Quick recap of where we were. [SPEAKER_00]: Last week, the 10th had been deployed to Verenheif, along with the Vulcan blue bloods and a few others. [SPEAKER_00]: Verenheif is under attack from another hive called the pharzoicans, which are actually full blown chaos force.

[SPEAKER_01]: On the plus side, big thing on this, not just chaos. [SPEAKER_01]: It's full blown chaos. [SPEAKER_01]: And I know that sounds like that we said the same thing, Brad. [SPEAKER_01]: Usually there's the tops that you get the little or you get [SPEAKER_01]: of the under-high of kind of getting the cast.

[SPEAKER_01]: No, this is a whole high period in the cast, which has not been seen at this point in the writing. [SPEAKER_01]: This is a big deal on this, slamming. [SPEAKER_01]: We haven't seen huge and a huge uprising like this, where exactly takes over. [SPEAKER_00]: So the positives are their and hive is secure.

[SPEAKER_01]: The void shields up in the walls are intact unlike others that did not put their void shield up. [SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, one of the other hives took nuclear weapons the dome that one doesn't exist anymore. [SPEAKER_00]: The negative is there are at least three million cultists on the other side of the wall.

[SPEAKER_00]: Enter being led by Chaos Magistar Herator Asfidol, who's a master of arcane technology, and no one inside the walls know this. [SPEAKER_00]: So they just think it's a bragged tag chaos force outside the wall. [SPEAKER_01]: Which if they shouldn't because he has demon engines outside, they haven't hit the wall yet.

[SPEAKER_00]: That's what they do. [SPEAKER_00]: The demon engines haven't hit the wall yet. [SPEAKER_00]: They figure this out. [SPEAKER_00]: They don't figure out it's him till later, but they figure out that's a problem pretty quick. [SPEAKER_00]: Now, what makes it even more complicated is there's way too many cooks in the kitchen.

[SPEAKER_00]: So we have Colonel Kamasar Ibram Gautt. [SPEAKER_00]: We've got General Nash of the Rowan Deepers, General Grismant of the Naminian Armored, General Stern of the Royan Volpone, and that's just the guard, then you have the PDF, but you have all of the idiots inside. [SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, Lord Cass for the room.

[SPEAKER_00]: Sondar. [SPEAKER_00]: Yeah. [SPEAKER_01]: Pious. [SPEAKER_01]: Everybody inside the walls that's not a guard character is a moron and Thomas are a bunch with the exception and we're a touch on him a lot later. [SPEAKER_00]: The guy who leaves the militia. [SPEAKER_00]: Yes. [SPEAKER_00]: He is cool.

[SPEAKER_00]: That's the only one. [SPEAKER_00]: He's the only one on the inside who's not a complete piece of garbage. [SPEAKER_01]: It's just there's so much political nonsense going on while people are here. [SPEAKER_01]: I refuse to let you save my life unless you give me a sticker that says I'm awesome.

[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, and so just give these a lot of these people a pat on the back to do this slightly theories make and that's why the biggest problem of this is so technically the highest ranking officer here is General Stern. [SPEAKER_00]: He should be able to take full control by the way the [SPEAKER_00]: He has been deployed there.

[SPEAKER_00]: The way it is written is the local PDF and militia automatically report to him. [SPEAKER_00]: He should take full control of the city. [SPEAKER_00]: But the thing in storm to his credit is not an idiot. [SPEAKER_00]: What he knows is there on the ass end of nowhere. [SPEAKER_00]: So they also can't just because small force, but he doesn't matter that they just because the rules say that doesn't mean the rules will get followed.

[SPEAKER_01]: Yes, but that they're coming down with a small force means a little bit because he knows that if he just started shooting people in the head. [SPEAKER_01]: big Munich it happened and they have a small force. [SPEAKER_01]: So pretty tired as you shoot in people, let's just kill the guy with shooting people.

[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah. [SPEAKER_00]: And when ends up making it a lot worse, as everyone's kind of got different goals. [SPEAKER_00]: outside of not die, although they're not even necessarily wrecked, but not die as a top one. [SPEAKER_00]: You've got Commissar Pius, who sucks? [SPEAKER_00]: Oh, yeah. [SPEAKER_00]: He just wants this whole thing to make him so glorious if he gets to rejoin the crazy.

[SPEAKER_00]: I was like a general. [SPEAKER_01]: He was just doing character creation and he put Max points into [SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, then you've got high master Sondar who just wants to the hive preserved and Pies keep getting paid. [SPEAKER_00]: Sondar is a weird character. [SPEAKER_00]: It's almost like he expects to win and its whole thing is like I just want to go back to the way things were when this is over.

[SPEAKER_00]: I was basically [SPEAKER_01]: kind of running the planet and he sucks for a different way because it's almost apathy for Sondar. [SPEAKER_01]: He just, he doesn't think any of this, all of this is an inconvenient, you guys are all drama queens, stop, you know. [SPEAKER_01]: Exactly. [SPEAKER_01]: Do, basically do whatever you do, but like he keeps popping in because he goes, oh, don't do this because it'll make it.

[SPEAKER_01]: The harder when I get back fully, you can control. [SPEAKER_01]: Basically, hey, don't ruin the grass in the lawn because it's going to be awesome later. [SPEAKER_01]: You're like, dude, they're going to burn down the house, man. [SPEAKER_01]: Stop worrying about the lawn. [SPEAKER_00]: And then you have General Stern, who's looking to have a really decisive victory over a chaos force, because he's been struggling as of late to live up the expectations placed on him.

[SPEAKER_01]: He just had a huge loss. [SPEAKER_00]: Like, well, that's right. [SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, he did have a huge loss. [SPEAKER_00]: And the other problem for him don't forget is he's also been sent here with the expectation of an easy win and got here to find three million cultists. [SPEAKER_00]: He's grossly outnumbered.

[SPEAKER_00]: And then you have got that. [SPEAKER_00]: Let's speed, let's call a spade a spade here. [SPEAKER_00]: The novels are about going in the tan of it. [SPEAKER_00]: We're the main characters actually know what's going on. [SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, so they're the ones that say the only people that know it's going on.

[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, so gaunt and the paneth are obviously the ones who seem to figure out all the stuff that's going on throughout it and blah, blah, blah, but the first kind of big issue, the conflict that comes up is gaunt, [SPEAKER_00]: being there. [SPEAKER_00]: This is a very, very, very good armor division.

[SPEAKER_00]: They say, look, we've got an opportunity. [SPEAKER_00]: The pharaohzoicans are still advancing on the city. [SPEAKER_00]: They haven't dug in yet, and so they can't really bring their big guns to there. [SPEAKER_00]: This is when you do a mobile counter attack. [SPEAKER_00]: Grisman could exit the city, flank the enemy and just come and just start wrecking shop, bringing them.

[SPEAKER_00]: They really want to go back into them. [SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, we also take the cities has giant done in placements. [SPEAKER_00]: They could just bombing them and that's it. [SPEAKER_00]: We could take the fight to them. [SPEAKER_00]: Let's weaken their forces. [SPEAKER_00]: Even if this doesn't completely defeat them, we can cut them in half.

[SPEAKER_00]: We can do a ton to them. [SPEAKER_00]: But stern and the civic leaders all stand in opposition to this. [SPEAKER_00]: They don't deserve you, boys. [SPEAKER_00]: We don't want to reduce our defenses at all. [SPEAKER_00]: They want to stand basically. [SPEAKER_00]: They just want to sit there and let the waves crash against the beach.

[SPEAKER_00]: That's their viewpoint. [SPEAKER_01]: God has one of my favorite lines of this because he tries to be, he's actually respectful of it. [SPEAKER_01]: Because he's trying to be part of this meeting, which goes to shit in just a minute. [SPEAKER_01]: But he points out, hey, he man, if they do breach, [SPEAKER_01]: everyone dies.

[SPEAKER_00]: So yeah, we have nowhere to retreat to. [SPEAKER_00]: We're at the wall. [SPEAKER_00]: There's no work further back. [SPEAKER_00]: Maybe put some space between us in the enemy, but anyway. [SPEAKER_00]: God accepts this to Brad's point and he deploys his taneth all over the place to kind of aid not just the defenses, but also the citizens.

[SPEAKER_00]: Because [SPEAKER_00]: The ferrosoicans are not there, you know, to have a campfire and make s'mores outside the city walls. [SPEAKER_00]: They're there to kill. [SPEAKER_00]: And the taneth immediately find a city that's just grossly unprepared for what's coming. [SPEAKER_01]: You know, and this is a lot of sanders want on this because they still have not.

[SPEAKER_01]: mobilized people. [SPEAKER_01]: People even know what's going on. [SPEAKER_01]: They have no idea. [SPEAKER_01]: The regular pop of this is just like, hey, what's going on. [SPEAKER_01]: I'm just going to go make some sandwiches or like this. [SPEAKER_01]: You should do some stuff. [SPEAKER_00]: You should remember what I think shelter.

[SPEAKER_00]: Exactly. [SPEAKER_01]: And none of this is happening. [SPEAKER_00]: Well, and the irony of the whole thing is that the way that the hive is built to function is when the attacker comes, the walls go up, and then we go when we attack. [SPEAKER_00]: abuse against the wall because quick-sighted about a void shield, you can walk through a void shield.

[SPEAKER_00]: You can't shoot through it. [SPEAKER_00]: So the city's not built to be a defender. [SPEAKER_00]: It's built to do short-term defense. [SPEAKER_00]: So the taneth find themselves embedded with a civilian population that is starting to starve by the way. [SPEAKER_00]: And they're starting to break.

[SPEAKER_00]: Well, [SPEAKER_01]: This is a bigger thing. [SPEAKER_01]: I'm going to go back just a little bit on this because of the fact that Sanders doing a bad job of running this place because he's been in his off. [SPEAKER_01]: There's no reason that they should already be having supply issues in the first place.

[SPEAKER_01]: This is a mismanagement. [SPEAKER_01]: This is why I can't stand these people. [SPEAKER_01]: They start to run out of stuff instantaneously with there's absolutely no reason that they should be this way. [SPEAKER_00]: And of course, because it's a story about the 10th and gone, the 10th coming from a forest world, they're newer to this.

[SPEAKER_00]: They're a viewpoint. [SPEAKER_00]: They have a lot more sorrow for the people in the hive. [SPEAKER_00]: The other regiments are just like, yeah, hive suck what white people are starving. [SPEAKER_00]: Next problem, the 10th are the ones who were like, well, we should help them, shouldn't we?

[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, it's like, where there was like, no, it's a hive city don't care. [SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, and they do. [SPEAKER_00]: They should do make efforts to try and make life better. [SPEAKER_00]: And the defense force is a trash fire, too. [SPEAKER_01]: And it's a trash fire because no one's gotten them ready for stuff.

[SPEAKER_01]: These guys are ready to break before the fight starts. [SPEAKER_01]: Not entering or anything. [SPEAKER_00]: Well, yeah. [SPEAKER_00]: And I do like this scene a lot. [SPEAKER_00]: Because what happens is the pharaohzoicans start showing the city. [SPEAKER_00]: So for 24 days, it's the voice shield for 24 days.

[SPEAKER_00]: The voice shield just takes a bombardment. [SPEAKER_00]: And anyone who studied World War I knows this process. [SPEAKER_00]: They shall it. [SPEAKER_00]: And then the showing stops. [SPEAKER_00]: When the shelling stops, that means the attack is coming. [SPEAKER_00]: And so it's, but it didn't come.

[SPEAKER_00]: But a day passes, there's no attack. [SPEAKER_00]: And another day passes, and no attack. [SPEAKER_00]: The third day passes, and no attack. [SPEAKER_00]: And as this is going to Brad's point, the defenders start losing it. [SPEAKER_00]: They start running away. [SPEAKER_00]: And so they start having to execute.

[SPEAKER_00]: a lot of the defenders because they start running away because they're just sitting on a wall staring out from a wall waiting for the attack to come that does not come and it's happening. [SPEAKER_01]: Let's clear if you're on the shields though. [SPEAKER_01]: So they have big walls like regular physical walls void shields are to stop.

[SPEAKER_01]: munitions for showing up their steps up kinetic and laser everything else, but you can just walk through them. [SPEAKER_01]: You can get inside of them. [SPEAKER_01]: They don't stop you moving slow basically when you go in. [SPEAKER_01]: So they're just going to walk past the shields and deal with the actual physical walls of the night.

[SPEAKER_00]: And well, that does happen on, yeah, on day five. [SPEAKER_00]: Yeah. [SPEAKER_00]: On day five, they shook and what they show up with is terrifying. [SPEAKER_00]: Now, all of yes, the first time I read this, I thought it was the filers. [SPEAKER_00]: They showed up, but they're described as crap.

[SPEAKER_00]: Also, we thought it's screw you on this. [SPEAKER_00]: It just is. [SPEAKER_00]: I'm sorry. [SPEAKER_01]: Now, I know that Reddit says you're wrong. [SPEAKER_01]: The description is a freaking defiler. [SPEAKER_00]: Okay, what are you when I read it? [SPEAKER_00]: I'm like go to the fileer and then I go on read it You're a fan walker for the cannon on their chest screw off.

[SPEAKER_00]: Did he yes, it's a developers so they show yeah But they're sure with the files and no one's seen it if I tell us a wrong, but like yeah, this is just a fileer man [SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, so they show up with these crab walker defylers and start, but they're all over the city attack at four main areas they Vergate, Crogate, Haranamo, Sondar Gate and the middle of the spoil.

[SPEAKER_01]: I would go in this again because they didn't do anything They didn't do any counterchamps. [SPEAKER_01]: They didn't do any bombardment. [SPEAKER_01]: They didn't focus on [SPEAKER_01]: the forces that are attacking are able to effectively surround the city and do whatever the hell they want.

[SPEAKER_01]: And they also, they're dug in. [SPEAKER_01]: Their siege engines and stuff are just dug in with absolutely no issues. [SPEAKER_00]: And they're coming in at full force. [SPEAKER_00]: So they're hitting all four spots the same time. [SPEAKER_00]: And this is obviously a probing assault, but it's still a full assault.

[SPEAKER_00]: And the defenders are not prepared for this. [SPEAKER_00]: So these crab walkers, by the way, are very well-armored. [SPEAKER_00]: And they're just shrugging munitions that are coming into them and firing back into them. [SPEAKER_00]: And the defenders are terrible. [SPEAKER_00]: They're missing with all of their shots, everything it's going to crap.

[SPEAKER_00]: And the case of Vaver Gate, the enemy actually breaches the gate with one of the defylers. [SPEAKER_00]: The defenders end up [SPEAKER_00]: destroying it, but then having to repair the gate sort of is like he jammed open because to filer, this is just violent into the inside of it, but he are able to repel this is a nightmare.

[SPEAKER_00]: The command of PDF. [SPEAKER_01]: of the defense force, the planetary defense force, is horrific because they talk a lot about the communications and everything, and people are just screaming into comms. [SPEAKER_01]: That's about it. [SPEAKER_01]: Like no information whatsoever, they are poorly trained.

[SPEAKER_01]: Well, the guns, while everybody in the, the 10th first, [SPEAKER_01]: is pretty cool. [SPEAKER_01]: They're, you know, they're helping the citizen stuff like that. [SPEAKER_01]: These guys are pretty angry with these guys, the defense force and they make no tough. [SPEAKER_01]: There's multiple times in the book where they're kind of like, hey, man, get you shit together, basically.

[SPEAKER_00]: What they actually do is, this not just the 10th, but also I believe the Volping to this too. [SPEAKER_00]: They actually made a side communication channel. [SPEAKER_00]: Yes, of their own. [SPEAKER_00]: They cut them off. [SPEAKER_00]: because they couldn't use the open box channel anymore, because it got so corrupted, they'd notice in the first assault.

[SPEAKER_00]: So we fast forward a little bit, six days later, a massive artillery barrage kicks off again. [SPEAKER_00]: And this time, it's not targeting the void shield. [SPEAKER_00]: Though, they'd actually move their artillery further up and they were targeting the towers on top of the gates. [SPEAKER_00]: Again, because they can't put enough munitions through and you kind of angle them down, they will penetrate a void shield.

[SPEAKER_00]: And they start ripping apart and they're only targeting they're gate, the one that had been jammed open. [SPEAKER_00]: So, the defenders in the plus side can return fire into set artillery, which they did, but the number just weren't in their favor. [SPEAKER_00]: This artillery starts pulling down all of the stuff around they've air gate.

[SPEAKER_00]: and then a meal of the ground for it. [SPEAKER_00]: There's no five day pause now. [SPEAKER_00]: The ground forces come rushing in. [SPEAKER_00]: Sea Jengins come through and this is a air quotes here. [SPEAKER_00]: Repair gate. [SPEAKER_00]: They their gate is very quickly getting overrun.

[SPEAKER_00]: At the same time, forces are hitting other parts of the city, but it's just more to create confusion. [SPEAKER_00]: The main thrust is they their gate, but they're hitting [SPEAKER_00]: The defenders need to get all of their stuff down to the very gate, but they discover an issue. [SPEAKER_00]: Well, they'll discover the same issue as before.

[SPEAKER_00]: As this whole attack's taking place and they're trying to move stuff around, it just turns into a giant traffic jam, a horrifying traffic jam. [SPEAKER_00]: And the way that the rules are, it's up to the PDF to coordinate the movement around. [SPEAKER_00]: And this Vox channel is just completely out of control.

[SPEAKER_00]: It's everyone just yelling screaming and there's a man named Colonel Modil who was overseeing all of this. [SPEAKER_00]: And he's in the command center and everyone's yelling and screaming. [SPEAKER_00]: And he decides that the best solution to this is just to do the line from airplane.

[SPEAKER_00]: Jump don't want no help. [SPEAKER_00]: Jump don't get the help. [SPEAKER_00]: And turns off the Vox. [SPEAKER_00]: Now, luckily for the defenders, the 10th, like we said before, saw this coming and the ones holding they their gate had made their own box communication. [SPEAKER_00]: So they actually were still keeping up communication during this.

[SPEAKER_00]: So despite the fact that the box channel had just been effectively turned off and it wasn't when there was always was anarchy. [SPEAKER_00]: the task we're able to move around and keep defenses going. [SPEAKER_00]: The same time, gaunt is not going to let this stuff happen. [SPEAKER_00]: As gaunt discovers this stuff's, the jumping, been turned off, he rushes into the command center and confronts Colonel Modille.

[SPEAKER_00]: And by confront him, I mean, he shoots him in the head. [SPEAKER_00]: Yep. [SPEAKER_01]: I'm not going to like, I was waiting for my chance to jump all over this because I was like, it confront feels very soft. [SPEAKER_00]: He can barely walk in there and said, pardon me sir, if you would have been very boop on commercial, yeah, and then shot him in the head and immediately took control, turned the box channel on and took control of the situation.

[SPEAKER_00]: I will should mention, this was a little bit late in the process. [SPEAKER_00]: There are pharaohzoicantrups who penetrate the walls. [SPEAKER_01]: They're just tenders because the chances of already had their own secret channel period. [SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, but they've had this. [SPEAKER_00]: But what happened is that pharaohzoicants do get it.

[SPEAKER_00]: This is the first time anyone gets to see what the pharaohzoicants are. [SPEAKER_00]: And so we talked about this when we did the Vraxcast. [SPEAKER_00]: Usually chaos troops get a little bit. [SPEAKER_00]: Just go jacked up. [SPEAKER_00]: They look a little bit wonky. [SPEAKER_00]: And these ones very much so were these they take the mask off.

[SPEAKER_00]: It's one of those you know sci-fi reveals they take the mask off and these people have implantations all over their heads It's men women adolescent children and it's mind control implantation. [SPEAKER_00]: They're digital mind slates It's not yeah, but it is technology [SPEAKER_01]: It's again, it's they're basically using ad mech versions again, some of that wasn't from and they've got my control, they've chipped everybody and it's pretty gruesome all they do it to these are they effectively just bolted in stuff into people's hands like that that seems not great is they talk about big slabs of metal being in drilled into their don't but they are able to eventually repel this second attack and chaos retreats.

[SPEAKER_00]: But now the Brad irritation will begin because now we've got trauma. [SPEAKER_00]: King drama. [SPEAKER_00]: It's gone just executed one of the main leaders of Verenheif for cowardice. [SPEAKER_00]: And he made out basically the leaders of Verenheif to be unable to handle a situation. [SPEAKER_01]: Which is 100% right.

[SPEAKER_01]: They've proven it and yes, it's false. [SPEAKER_01]: If God's ghost isn't here, I know that the main characters, but like if they're not there at this gate, the city falls from this over 100%. [SPEAKER_00]: 100%. [SPEAKER_00]: And that this is something Sturm was trying to avoid because he also knew something.

[SPEAKER_00]: He knew that the soldiers and the leaders of Verenheim were [SPEAKER_00]: not capable of defending themselves, and the imperial guard were there to save them, but the people there thought the opposite. [SPEAKER_00]: He knows that the people who are leading Verenheim believe that the guard are there basically is going to coutremont to their forces.

[SPEAKER_00]: We've got this, those guys are just there to fill in some gaps here and there. [SPEAKER_00]: That's all in shampels now. [SPEAKER_00]: And the leaders of Verenheif blow up and demand air quotes here, accountability, and they want a trial of gaunt. [SPEAKER_00]: problem is that Gaunt was completely correct.

[SPEAKER_00]: And he had the authority to do it. [SPEAKER_01]: Gaunt, however, doesn't really rock the diplomacy on this one. [SPEAKER_01]: Because he goes effectively. [SPEAKER_01]: He's like, I shoot him again right now if he was here. [SPEAKER_01]: Like two, all of those guys in the thing. [SPEAKER_01]: He's like, we want to count the police like I shoot him again right this second.

[SPEAKER_00]: But the problem is that when they ask him why he shot him, Gaunt says, well, he acted outside of the command structure. [SPEAKER_00]: He didn't follow the rules. [SPEAKER_00]: And therefore, unfit for leadership, which is exactly what Strom or Stern did not want him to say, because Gaunt didn't know something.

[SPEAKER_00]: as the pharaohzoic enforcers were breaching the gate and all hell broke loose. [SPEAKER_00]: The city was totally clogged up. [SPEAKER_00]: No one could move. [SPEAKER_00]: And then rush hour traffic. [SPEAKER_00]: And so Brad rush hour traffic is this thing when people live somewhere that people want to live.

[SPEAKER_00]: It occurs. [SPEAKER_00]: So you can't get from one place to the other because there's lots of people there. [SPEAKER_00]: It's just a thing. [SPEAKER_00]: Don't worry about. [SPEAKER_00]: Tell me though. [SPEAKER_00]: Yes, it doesn't come up. [SPEAKER_01]: I tell you everybody has side story and this one of my friends stayed in my house and he's driving back to New York and he goes, Brad, you know, I'm going to work and he's like, well, I'm like, hey, stay whenever you want, leave whenever you want.

[SPEAKER_01]: He's like, well, when should I leave to make sure that I've done a dress shot or traffic? [SPEAKER_01]: And I go, [SPEAKER_01]: Today, at any time, whatever you want to leave, it's not going to come up. [SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, you will be fine no matter what time you leave. [SPEAKER_00]: Thanks.

[SPEAKER_00]: I mean, to be fair, I live in Michigan. [SPEAKER_00]: It's not much better. [SPEAKER_00]: My friend and mine, my best friend, visit me from California, where I live for 20 years. [SPEAKER_00]: I picked him up at the airport at 430 p.m. And he laughed the entire drive from the airport to my house, like going, this is rush hour traffic.

[SPEAKER_00]: And we both just had a great gigal at it. [SPEAKER_00]: I will be right back after a quick break. [SPEAKER_00]: Anyway, during this whole process, when MoDial gave up on everything, everything's congested. [SPEAKER_00]: General Grisman, and his Armenian armoured, their people was traffic is stupid.

[SPEAKER_00]: We're not doing this, so they just made their own alternative route and drove around the traffic. [SPEAKER_00]: Kind of driving through the hive. [SPEAKER_01]: I had 100% drove through the hive, they drove through how it was basically. [SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, it was helpful. [SPEAKER_00]: But the problem is that he got arrested for this.

[SPEAKER_00]: And this put because he did the thing that got just killed Modio 4. [SPEAKER_00]: He disobeyed direct orders. [SPEAKER_00]: He was told to take Route A and he went without go after yourself. [SPEAKER_00]: I'm going this way because I got a tank. [SPEAKER_00]: Sturms in a difficult position now.

[SPEAKER_00]: It's obvious to him that the leaders of Baron Hive would rather die than be embarrassed, and they're making it pretty clear to him that their forces will not fight at all, unless they are told that they are pretty pretty princesses. [SPEAKER_01]: If this is insane, by the way, this is a long time in this.

[SPEAKER_00]: So there's a long, this is a long, which is, it is moronic. [SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, if you term fury, yeah, yes, so yeah, so storm has to leave general grism and who's the head of one of the most important parts of their defenses, their armor division in present for a trial if he's going to lose and be executed for.

[SPEAKER_00]: All right. [SPEAKER_00]: So let's move forward a little bit further. [SPEAKER_00]: So the second siege that was broken, but the pharaohzoic enforces are now very close to the wall. [SPEAKER_00]: So close to the wall that their vox communications can be heard. [SPEAKER_00]: Or more importantly, their vox broadcast can be heard.

[SPEAKER_00]: So I don't think that they weren't listening in on it. [SPEAKER_00]: Cause they were prior to the... [SPEAKER_01]: because it's chanting. [SPEAKER_00]: They're just chanting. [SPEAKER_00]: That's what it does name. [SPEAKER_00]: They're saying ask for them. [SPEAKER_00]: Ask for them. [SPEAKER_00]: Ask for them.

[SPEAKER_00]: Ask for them. [SPEAKER_00]: Ask for them. [SPEAKER_00]: Ask for them. [SPEAKER_00]: And we talked about us for the last cast when like I jumped into him alive here, but I just wanted what needs to matter about him is [SPEAKER_00]: The Imperium knew who he was. [SPEAKER_00]: This is not an unknown lieutenant who's written, it was like, risen up, post the death of Nazi bear.

[SPEAKER_00]: This was someone who is an imperial target. [SPEAKER_00]: They actually been hunting him down. [SPEAKER_00]: So, once I know, they do send communication out, saying, hey, ask for those here. [SPEAKER_00]: This shifts the narrative a little bit. [SPEAKER_00]: For Sondar and the leaders of the hive, they don't really care.

[SPEAKER_00]: They're just like, all right, some chaos loads here. [SPEAKER_00]: What of it? [SPEAKER_00]: Storm though starts to freak out. [SPEAKER_00]: Storm has been questioning himself and his capabilities for a while. [SPEAKER_00]: He was deployed to this planet, you know, expecting a win. [SPEAKER_00]: He gets the plan.

[SPEAKER_01]: Well, well, he's deployed to this planet, expecting an easy win, a cake. [SPEAKER_01]: Exactly. [SPEAKER_01]: Basically, I'm coming off a big al, [SPEAKER_00]: And I'm going to kick this to me down the stupid civil war. [SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, and not that he comes down. [SPEAKER_00]: He's grossly outnumbered.

[SPEAKER_00]: It's chaos. [SPEAKER_00]: And now he's got one of Nazi bears best Lieutenant's up against him. [SPEAKER_00]: Also, and he knows this. [SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, attacking us. [SPEAKER_00]: He's started in behind the scenes. [SPEAKER_00]: He's starting to break mentally. [SPEAKER_00]: Then things get really fun.

[SPEAKER_01]: This is because I get in Fuego to so hard at this. [SPEAKER_01]: Immunit doom is outside. [SPEAKER_01]: They're legitimately bombing the city. [SPEAKER_01]: They're crushing the void shields. [SPEAKER_01]: And then we go to the trial of Jen Ergasman. [SPEAKER_00]: You're like, yeah. [SPEAKER_00]: Come on.

[SPEAKER_00]: God finds out about it. [SPEAKER_00]: God is literally trying to figure out, hey, what's going on? [SPEAKER_00]: We're under attack. [SPEAKER_00]: We need to move the armor. [SPEAKER_00]: Where is Grisman? [SPEAKER_00]: And someone tells him, oh, his trial just started to which God says, hey, what do you mean?

[SPEAKER_00]: And then be, well, who's representing him? [SPEAKER_00]: Don't worry. [SPEAKER_00]: Commissar Pius Cowell. [SPEAKER_00]: I guess it's more on a guy who's light, [SPEAKER_00]: not particularly intelligent, but more importantly, he is singular in purpose in kind of his regimented behavior.

[SPEAKER_00]: If he's your defense attorney, you're gonna die. [SPEAKER_00]: Well, he's not even a defendee. [SPEAKER_00]: So, [SPEAKER_00]: collapses, explodes. [SPEAKER_01]: It's your phrase. [SPEAKER_01]: All right. [SPEAKER_01]: So basically, they halted all from Ethiopian mining operations. [SPEAKER_01]: So they didn't use their promethian piping to blow up things.

[SPEAKER_01]: I don't know, like the Eastern Gate. [SPEAKER_01]: Everybody shut it down except for one of these pieces of crap who legitimately became up with the excellent idea of that [SPEAKER_01]: Once all this nonsense was over, this minor inconvenience, he'd be the only one that immediately originally had a steady stream of premium.

[SPEAKER_01]: He would jack up the prices and make it rain money, baby. [SPEAKER_00]: Yeah. [SPEAKER_00]: Basically, the hive has permithium mining and the way you mine permithium is it goes through. [SPEAKER_00]: Obviously, tubes, two in front places. [SPEAKER_00]: There's a, you know, permithium going underneath the city.

[SPEAKER_00]: Permithium is highly explosive. [SPEAKER_00]: And someone said, hey, [SPEAKER_00]: Let's not have the explosive stuff moving around the walls. [SPEAKER_00]: A plus plan. [SPEAKER_00]: And everyone said, yeah, it's at the Brad's point, one guy. [SPEAKER_00]: And that one guy kept it going didn't tell anybody.

[SPEAKER_00]: Screw you, the head. [SPEAKER_00]: The pharaohzoicans had sappers because that's what you do when someone has walls. [SPEAKER_00]: You do sapping. [SPEAKER_00]: We've had sappings been around since Alan the Romans did it. [SPEAKER_00]: But basically, since the invention of gunpowder, yes, she gave low stuff up.

[SPEAKER_00]: So, yeah, they've had sapping. [SPEAKER_00]: they go under a wall and they set off an explosion. [SPEAKER_00]: The sapper didn't know that above their explosion was a whole bunch of promethium. [SPEAKER_00]: It blows the entire eastern wall up. [SPEAKER_00]: It just ceases to exist and the chaos forces go well that one worked and start charging into this giant hole in a wall.

[SPEAKER_00]: and to make things even more fun, since Asford all had come down to the surface, apparently it's on the other side, he brought with him, I guess, the guns from his ship and had converted, I don't know, this is so funny because he effectively muggivers it and puts battleship guns on whatever, he's just ductating them and stuff, yeah, to basically just to tread.

[SPEAKER_00]: five trucks taking orbital cannons to the dome and this is it. [SPEAKER_00]: We're kind of at the end now. [SPEAKER_00]: The hive is falling. [SPEAKER_00]: The wall eastern gate is gone. [SPEAKER_00]: The western and southern gates are getting just wrecked by these things. [SPEAKER_00]: And [SPEAKER_00]: back in the command center, Sturm is done.

[SPEAKER_00]: He breaks, and he goes to order a full retreat from the city. [SPEAKER_00]: Luckily, he's not alone there. [SPEAKER_00]: So we mentioned earlier, however, one in the hive sucks, sent for one person doesn't. [SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, Edrick Crow. [SPEAKER_00]: Edrick Crow was the head of the Verenheim militia, and he's this great character throughout the whole novel, because he's kind of sitting there as this passenger who's very angry.

[SPEAKER_00]: He's the head of the militia, and so as such he knows, he's the lowest ranking off because they're making random snarky comments during the book. [SPEAKER_00]: Yes, because the whole time he said they're going like, I realize I'm not in charge, but you guys are effing morons. [SPEAKER_00]: And he's driving him insane.

[SPEAKER_00]: And he just sits there, but he's this extremely cake belator. [SPEAKER_00]: The militia loves him. [SPEAKER_00]: He's this great guy. [SPEAKER_00]: And as stern goes to order the full retreat, he turns to him and says, very simply, if you order that retreat order, I'm going to kill you myself.

[SPEAKER_00]: He gives the whole stop, ain't going out like that. [SPEAKER_00]: Yes, like no, absolutely. [SPEAKER_00]: I will kill you myself. [SPEAKER_00]: We are not retreating. [SPEAKER_00]: We are fighting. [SPEAKER_01]: He also gives them the bonus. [SPEAKER_00]: You're releasing Grisman right now.

[SPEAKER_00]: We're getting stronger off. [SPEAKER_00]: And to his credit, Sturm does regain a little bit of himself and goes, oh, yeah, fair point. [SPEAKER_00]: Yes, I'll at this point. [SPEAKER_00]: Yeah. [SPEAKER_01]: I mean, sometimes someone puts a gun to your face. [SPEAKER_01]: You're like, you know what?

[SPEAKER_01]: You're right in the sun. [SPEAKER_00]: But you got a certain grads, has Vulpine, like this is sort of like an honor guard and rushes off to the trial to go release grism and at the same time, Crow heads off to go basically lead from the front the defenses of the wall. [SPEAKER_00]: He's not mad at them with him yet.

[SPEAKER_00]: God, meanwhile, arrives at the prison to break Grisman's out, at the same time. [SPEAKER_00]: So God and Sturm both arrive at the same time, and they have to do a little bit of fighting, they basically literally do break Grisman out. [SPEAKER_00]: There's a whole thing, they actually break it in the process of running to Commissar Pius Cowell, who, in Calike, by the way, gives them a whole speech.

[SPEAKER_00]: The city is under attack and falling, and Cowell decides this moment, [SPEAKER_00]: You guys are weak. [SPEAKER_00]: You guys are this blah blah blah blah and don't put him under arrest. [SPEAKER_00]: Yes, no. [SPEAKER_01]: It's, oh, wait for it. [SPEAKER_01]: Strip some of this cow side title.

[SPEAKER_01]: Telling him, it's funny because he gives him the, it gives me the whole end of unforgiving kind of thing with a little bit of toxic shit and, well, you know, clean these things like, yeah, good to hear, man. [SPEAKER_01]: I've killed men or children. [SPEAKER_01]: Cool. [SPEAKER_01]: I don't give a shit, which is what it does.

[SPEAKER_01]: He's like, good speech. [SPEAKER_01]: You're done. [SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, Rips is actually Rips is a commissar ranking office thing and in placement arrest Sort of kind of I'll tell you more about that in a second then he frees Grisman who does this almost like Dragon Ball Z thing where Grisman then busy runs out of the prison Jumps over to his regiment and then leads one of the most successful tank attacks in the history of the imperial [SPEAKER_00]: They actually, he goes to the Eastern Gate.

[SPEAKER_00]: I think they lose two tanks and take out the entire attacking force. [SPEAKER_00]: It's this whole wild heart that looks really funny. [SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, yeah, yeah, so Tokyo drifts a bunch of tanks. [SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, I think he does everything, but Yale, Kami, Hami, hot, as he's freaking doing it.

[SPEAKER_00]: Like it's it is the weirdest part of the whole book. [SPEAKER_00]: I'm like, wait, why wasn't he just doing this all day? [SPEAKER_00]: Why is this more still happening if he can do that? [SPEAKER_00]: But side note for different day. [SPEAKER_00]: As he's doing this though, the fun part is, the four-inch shield turns off.

[SPEAKER_00]: Why? [SPEAKER_00]: Because Sondar, the leader of Verenheim, has been getting sickly attacked the whole time, and the chaos forces are just telling him all these things. [SPEAKER_00]: And eventually he goes, yeah, okay, fair enough, and decides to give into the promises of chaos to save himself.

[SPEAKER_01]: which is crazy out in the book. [SPEAKER_01]: They talk about this a little bit. [SPEAKER_01]: But like they don't even like offer him much. [SPEAKER_01]: They just say that he won't die. [SPEAKER_00]: We're not they did. [SPEAKER_00]: They offered him. [SPEAKER_00]: He could still lead the hive when they were done.

[SPEAKER_00]: Sure. [SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, we know that. [SPEAKER_00]: I'm going to go. [SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, monkey paw. [SPEAKER_00]: As this happens, Crow, who we just mentioned, the head of the militia knows what's going on. [SPEAKER_00]: He knows exactly what's going on. [SPEAKER_00]: The Crow can't leave.

[SPEAKER_00]: So he basically radios over to God and all them and says, this is where he is, this is how you do this. [SPEAKER_00]: Go fix it. [SPEAKER_00]: I'll be, I'm going to hold the wall. [SPEAKER_00]: You guys go get the void shield back up. [SPEAKER_00]: And God stirmed and they had to grab Pius Cal, he basically right there next to him.

[SPEAKER_00]: And the Volpone or Volpone rush up to go deal with Sondar. [SPEAKER_00]: Um, I just like what they bought cowell with them. [SPEAKER_01]: I know it's just this is like all of the different action series where you're like Yeah, we're just going to bring the unbelievably untrustworthy guy with us.

[SPEAKER_01]: What it nothing bad should happen if we do that right right [SPEAKER_00]: So they break in there and immediately front into a problem. [SPEAKER_00]: Sondar has explained to them. [SPEAKER_00]: No, it's okay guys, but these guys promise me that if I do all this, I get to not die. [SPEAKER_00]: And they're all like, yeah, but what about the entire hype?

[SPEAKER_00]: And Sondar goes, okay, and then they discover that Sondar has these, they call them flesh slaves. [SPEAKER_00]: They're servitors. [SPEAKER_00]: I mean, they're, they do color grotesque. [SPEAKER_00]: They're grotesque. [SPEAKER_00]: They're grotesque. [SPEAKER_00]: They're one hundred that you could grotesque.

[SPEAKER_00]: That's the best way to describe. [SPEAKER_00]: Because if they've acid blood, which we're going to talk about that in a second, because there is some narrative holes here. [SPEAKER_00]: These flesh slaves start ripping apart the little pink stormtroopers who I guess had just finished ironing their red shirts out badly They get wrecked in this one.

[SPEAKER_00]: It gets ugly because as they go to kill them, they discover the acid blood. [SPEAKER_00]: This is such a [SPEAKER_00]: freaking alien rip off, but the acid bloods are shooting on them, and they don't know how to kill them. [SPEAKER_00]: Until Commissar Pius Cowell decides to have his redeeming moment, and there's a final flesh slave, and he rushes over with a pack of grenades and shoves it down its throat just as the fleshhead turns around and luring his arms off of his body.

[SPEAKER_01]: He gets beat to death with his own arms, which is a shock death. [SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, so the beast then dies. [SPEAKER_00]: And I have some questions about this because a page before they're shooting these things and the acid blood is spraying on people and they're dying. [SPEAKER_00]: And then this dude shoves up on some grenades inside of it, it explodes and no acid problem, even on the guy right in front of it.

[SPEAKER_01]: Look man, they just got behind their plot armor and they didn't get by acid. [SPEAKER_01]: All right, move on. [SPEAKER_00]: All right, all right, but they then are able to take control. [SPEAKER_00]: They move Sundar. [SPEAKER_00]: There's another noble there who's able to use his like noble key.

[SPEAKER_00]: And they turn the voice shield back on. [SPEAKER_00]: Sorry. [SPEAKER_00]: I like the way pious dies. [SPEAKER_00]: I know you don't like this. [SPEAKER_00]: I like the way pious dies I find this funny. [SPEAKER_00]: That was why pious is didn't lying there in a pool of blood because he has no arms and there's also He should be had no anything because he did just take Renates to the face and ask him under the face Whatever, he's doing great and gone walks over him with this like hey, you're a hero now And he looks up at gone and just starts bad mouthing gone.

[SPEAKER_00]: Explain to God that thanks to God [SPEAKER_00]: Pius is going to die. [SPEAKER_01]: The greatest hero of the Imperium. [SPEAKER_00]: Yes, gone. [SPEAKER_00]: You have now robbed the Imperium of one of its greatest military minds. [SPEAKER_00]: And this is a wound the Imperium will struggle to recover from his death.

[SPEAKER_00]: And gone to his credit just goes, [SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, um, here's your move back. [SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, like you get to die a commissar ever. [SPEAKER_00]: I would have peed on that guy. [SPEAKER_01]: It's like really man, really. [SPEAKER_00]: But the work's not done. [SPEAKER_00]: The city is still under heavy duty assault.

[SPEAKER_00]: The void shields back up great, but they're still enemies in a lot of any. [SPEAKER_00]: Artillery's everywhere. [SPEAKER_00]: There's physical attack going on. [SPEAKER_00]: And defenders need to rally and hoarding those forces is a challenge. [SPEAKER_00]: Here's the issue. [SPEAKER_00]: Sundar's dead, which is, you know, obviously.

[SPEAKER_00]: Crow died [SPEAKER_00]: General Stern disappears randomly in this thing. [SPEAKER_00]: No one knows where he is. [SPEAKER_00]: Grisman is out doing his like weird Tokyo drift tank thing. [SPEAKER_00]: So, Gont is the highest ranking officer available. [SPEAKER_00]: And so, he has to take command, but remember Gont to this point has never committed anything larger than the TANF, which is like 2,000 soldiers.

[SPEAKER_00]: He's now taking over [SPEAKER_00]: He started half a million, we're probably down to a quarter million, but he's not taking over a quarter million and leading it. [SPEAKER_00]: But of course, plot armor being plot armor, he does a great job and they, you know, he saved this city for now.

[SPEAKER_01]: Well, this is a, we, two books in a row we've talked about how much of a tactical mine he has. [SPEAKER_01]: This is not a stretch. [SPEAKER_00]: Come on, I just say it's a pretty solid like first game out, you know, that's the thing. [SPEAKER_00]: But you guys, the chaos forces into retreating back through the walls for now.

[SPEAKER_00]: And for this, God is presented with something called the Heronimo Sondar, which is a sword. [SPEAKER_00]: And it was actually Marshall Crowes. [SPEAKER_00]: It was his sword, which is a cool thing he did, but Crowe knew he was going to die. [SPEAKER_00]: He wrapped the wall going, this is not going to go well for me.

[SPEAKER_00]: He turned to his second and gave his second his sword. [SPEAKER_00]: This sword is always held by the head of the militia. [SPEAKER_00]: And he said whoever takes over after me, make sure they have this sword because it's a symbol of the leadership of the hive. [SPEAKER_00]: And so obviously, is the next one.

[SPEAKER_00]: So he gets it. [SPEAKER_00]: And this sword is all foreshadow. [SPEAKER_00]: So, aftermath of the battle, gaunt is faced with another fun challenge. [SPEAKER_00]: General Stern was bought to him, and General Stern had been caught by local police force trying to flee the planet, because he decided that this was, he wasn't about this anymore, he'd wonder run away, which is now we have a general who is a member of the Imperial Guard, tried to run away from a battlefield, and now he's standing in front of a commissar.

[SPEAKER_00]: think we know how this one has to go. [SPEAKER_00]: So obviously it's a die. [SPEAKER_00]: Sturm asked Gantt for the right to kill himself, not to be killed by Gantt. [SPEAKER_00]: They called a soldier's death, although that's not a soldier's death, but that's a side of the different day.

[SPEAKER_00]: And Gantt says, sure, but does nothing after evil. [SPEAKER_01]: 100% Dr. [SPEAKER_01]: Evil goes, here's your gun. [SPEAKER_01]: You'll definitely do this. [SPEAKER_00]: And then he turns around and walks away. [SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, at which point Storm pulls the gun up to shoot Ganton the back of the head and a little boy yells look out Ganton got spins around and cut Storm's hand off.

[SPEAKER_00]: That's holding the pistol before it can shoot him. [SPEAKER_00]: There wasn't actually a little boy yelling that, but that's basically the scene I've seen in a thousand shitty films. [SPEAKER_00]: This was so poorly written. [SPEAKER_00]: I was so mad at this. [SPEAKER_00]: I don't mind that Storm tried to shoot him with the gun.

[SPEAKER_00]: I mind the whole cutting his hand off with the sword thing. [SPEAKER_00]: We don't need that. [SPEAKER_00]: No one needed that. [SPEAKER_00]: It's just dumb. [SPEAKER_00]: It's a trope and so storm is then taken away and I just not handcuffs get it. [SPEAKER_00]: But gone is screwed. [SPEAKER_00]: But [SPEAKER_00]: we have to have a happy ending to this.

[SPEAKER_00]: And I don't love the ending of this. [SPEAKER_00]: So we're going to get there. [SPEAKER_00]: Let's go through current situation. [SPEAKER_00]: Varaniv is surrounded by a force at least six times larger than it. [SPEAKER_00]: Chaos infused armed with a teeth with the arcane weaponry. [SPEAKER_00]: Varaniv is taking a battering.

[SPEAKER_00]: By the way, one gate is gone. [SPEAKER_00]: We've got holes in the walls to delicious, but [SPEAKER_00]: The food is running out, supplies are running out. [SPEAKER_00]: This siege is basically over. [SPEAKER_00]: The fair is looking to just hang out outside. [SPEAKER_00]: It's over. [SPEAKER_00]: All the fairzoicans have to do is not.

[SPEAKER_00]: I don't know. [SPEAKER_00]: Shove their Achilles heel right in front, the very out of the wall that they're on high. [SPEAKER_00]: And they would just don't take your only Achilles heel and jam it. [SPEAKER_00]: I don't know, inside the city. [SPEAKER_00]: So what happens next? [SPEAKER_00]: Gone gets lucky with the daughter of one of the dead nobles.

[SPEAKER_00]: That's actually what happens. [SPEAKER_00]: And she tells him that her dad had a special weapon. [SPEAKER_00]: And they explain what it is, but it's a super EMP. [SPEAKER_00]: Because it's a device that when activated shuts down all the systems of entire city. [SPEAKER_00]: And I could explain a lot more than that, but I've seen oceans 11.

[SPEAKER_00]: So we're going to go with that. [SPEAKER_00]: And she then just gives it to God. [SPEAKER_01]: So he and Meljan Chitled to go do a thing. [SPEAKER_00]: It's just the goth. [SPEAKER_00]: So goth now has this thing. [SPEAKER_00]: Now, next morning, because remember, nightfights are thing.

[SPEAKER_00]: They could never attack that night. [SPEAKER_00]: Don't forget Brad, no fighting at night. [SPEAKER_00]: Nightfight is a rule. [SPEAKER_00]: There's no fighting at night. [SPEAKER_00]: Poison and nightfight. [SPEAKER_00]: My two shots. [SPEAKER_00]: So we had to wait. [SPEAKER_00]: So now we next the next that day we get the assault on Gondor.

[SPEAKER_00]: It's very hard to explain it. [SPEAKER_00]: Gant knows that there'll be a big push, but put Gant also knows that Asfidel will likely want to join in on this victory, because he'll want to bask in the glory of any person. [SPEAKER_00]: Yeah. [SPEAKER_00]: And that's when Gant will strike with his secret weapon.

[SPEAKER_00]: But how? [SPEAKER_00]: Well, fun thing about chaos lords is they're not subtle. [SPEAKER_00]: So Gant has to wait and figure out where Asfidel is. [SPEAKER_00]: and as a giant hordes of chaos, just descend and barren hive, a large construct is observed in the distance and this mobile fortress is called the spike, because it's tall and pointy.

[SPEAKER_00]: Oh, man, I gotta get my cheetah together for just a second. [SPEAKER_01]: I love this book. [SPEAKER_01]: This part so silly because the spike is the transmitter that's controlling all of the cultists [SPEAKER_01]: 4 feet away because they're driving on a straight up. [SPEAKER_01]: It's ready got a CB.

[SPEAKER_00]: It doesn't have a lot of range. [SPEAKER_00]: It is terrible. [SPEAKER_00]: So this thing's, oh, they also can have Starship Plasma guns on it. [SPEAKER_00]: So it's just like moving up and firing. [SPEAKER_00]: It is kind of funny. [SPEAKER_00]: It's almost like a stampa in some ways, which is a good idea.

[SPEAKER_01]: I 100th of that was a stop on this because it's just got two big guns and it's lumbering up. [SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, just shooting things. [SPEAKER_00]: So. [SPEAKER_00]: But God realizes all we have to do is get onto the spike, disable the spike, and then all the ferrisocons will become disoriented, and the very high forces will win.

[SPEAKER_00]: So what do we have to do? [SPEAKER_00]: Simple. [SPEAKER_00]: We go through a few hundred thousand ferrisocons chaos cultists, board the spike, fight our way to the top of it, plant the EMP device, and then [SPEAKER_00]: plan is simple. [SPEAKER_00]: Spike itself is moving. [SPEAKER_00]: It's literally in the city at this point.

[SPEAKER_00]: It's like grinding. [SPEAKER_00]: It's why I've brought in both a lot of Stompuk and just felt like a stop, but it is growing this city. [SPEAKER_01]: Walking through the city, basically. [SPEAKER_00]: Yeah. [SPEAKER_00]: So God grabs 30 10th and some of the [SPEAKER_00]: to go through it.

[SPEAKER_00]: And they're guided there by a very high minor who turned militia named Golkoeya. [SPEAKER_00]: Then Gol was a lifelong or a minor, but when his home was under attack, he saved a bunch of minors and then minors let children people with the mind. [SPEAKER_00]: I'm just going to make clear and then join the militia.

[SPEAKER_00]: And so he knows I can get us there because we can go underground and I can sneak us under, I don't want to know how much this thing weighs, but I feel like you don't want to be right underneath it. [SPEAKER_00]: It feels like it might just collapse on top of you, but apparently that's not the case, because they actually were in basically like the sewer system under anything that weighs, let's go with 10,000 tons.

[SPEAKER_00]: I don't care. [SPEAKER_01]: But they appear as very good at doing a couple of things. [SPEAKER_01]: One is building wildly too big and too crowded cities. [SPEAKER_01]: They're good. [SPEAKER_01]: Come on. [SPEAKER_00]: Fine. [SPEAKER_00]: We're the best. [SPEAKER_00]: Anyway. [SPEAKER_00]: The stories are going to get a lot worse.

[SPEAKER_00]: All right. [SPEAKER_00]: They get, they do this. [SPEAKER_00]: They're successful. [SPEAKER_00]: They get to the bottom of the mobile fortress. [SPEAKER_00]: Bring them and seize them. [SPEAKER_00]: and they start climbing it and the story they now got this so bad. [SPEAKER_00]: One guy does fall off and it's already dies.

[SPEAKER_00]: He gets he's fine later with some augmentation. [SPEAKER_00]: Eventually after climbing for a while, they burst into the bridge and they have a conundrum. [SPEAKER_00]: I guess the EMP device isn't really the EMP, by the way, because it's a, it's a, this is a scrap with it, the plug it in, and I don't like this, because, you know, it doesn't make sense to me.

[SPEAKER_00]: Why is the plug it in? [SPEAKER_00]: Because what if it was the USB-C? [SPEAKER_00]: And then you get there and it's all USB-3s. [SPEAKER_00]: Now you gotta go get a converter, get a store, that's a whole process. [SPEAKER_00]: It just doesn't make sense to me that we have to plug it in.

[SPEAKER_00]: You're saying, we don't have universal ports now. [SPEAKER_00]: There's no chance. [SPEAKER_00]: All right, but it is the right connection and it works. [SPEAKER_00]: The whole spike shuts down, all the gun stop firing, the transmission cease, all of the chaos called to stop firing, and the force field around the command thrown goes down, because Asfidel is right there.

[SPEAKER_00]: And he's not super thrilled about all this. [SPEAKER_01]: He has something to say. [SPEAKER_00]: All right, and I need to gather myself because what happens next, [SPEAKER_01]: Screw you man, they get to do a sick duel. [SPEAKER_00]: No, the duel's fine. [SPEAKER_00]: The duel's fine. [SPEAKER_00]: The end is bad.

[SPEAKER_00]: Oh. [SPEAKER_00]: Okay. [SPEAKER_00]: Gone Nashville have a whole fight, blah, blah, blah. [SPEAKER_00]: One guy's winning, one guy's losing. [SPEAKER_00]: Other guys are winning, other guys are losing. [SPEAKER_00]: Blah, blah, blah. [SPEAKER_00]: In the end, gone lunges forward with his special sword and rams asphalt through with it.

[SPEAKER_00]: At the same time, Marcel brings up his pistol and shoots gone to the heart. [SPEAKER_00]: However, gaunt doesn't die, because gaunt had been given a steel rose by a now deceased Lord Cass, that he pinned to his chest over his heart, and that stopped the bullet. [SPEAKER_00]: It's been over a decade since I read this.

[SPEAKER_00]: And I'm still boo, that ending. [SPEAKER_00]: Let's just do it, let's just do it. [SPEAKER_00]: But just done. [SPEAKER_00]: Let's just, it's just, it's just, it's just, it's a dual school, but that part right there is stupid, stupid, stupid, stupid, stupid that. [SPEAKER_01]: Why do you not love sunshine puppies and cookies?

[SPEAKER_01]: It's, there's a, no, no, that that's a phone in and in. [SPEAKER_00]: All right, but let's get to the rest of it. [SPEAKER_00]: So after the death of asphalt and destruction of the spike, the battle just turns. [SPEAKER_00]: Mind throld, there was like, there's just useless now. [SPEAKER_00]: There's no end correction.

[SPEAKER_01]: They didn't go over this though. [SPEAKER_01]: I, this is what this is one thing you've had about the in that little ending piece. [SPEAKER_01]: I didn't like that they didn't touch on what's going on with those citizens, because they didn't, they said they were useless. [SPEAKER_01]: They were kind of wondering about, but they didn't say if they were like, [SPEAKER_01]: Why am I here?

[SPEAKER_01]: I was baking a cake. [SPEAKER_01]: They don't touch on this, really. [SPEAKER_00]: Well, because they, I think the truth, I don't think the very high of ask. [SPEAKER_00]: I think they just start shooting this shit down. [SPEAKER_01]: Yeah. [SPEAKER_01]: Because in my mind, that was kind of a lot of confused citizens looking around going, the, the might have been followed by gunfire.

[SPEAKER_00]: That's a lot of bull deaths. [SPEAKER_00]: That's, that was how I interpreted it. [SPEAKER_00]: It is shot all of them. [SPEAKER_00]: My, yeah, problem solved. [SPEAKER_00]: Like, it's like, oh, the none of them are sucking. [SPEAKER_00]: Cool. [SPEAKER_00]: Yeah. [SPEAKER_00]: Yeah. [SPEAKER_01]: Was there all looking around going again?

[SPEAKER_01]: There was 25 minutes left on the apple pie. [SPEAKER_01]: Yeah. [SPEAKER_00]: Where am I? [SPEAKER_00]: Fast forward a few months later, McRoth arrives. [SPEAKER_00]: Late, but he's there. [SPEAKER_00]: And McRoth had heard Asfidel was there. [SPEAKER_00]: So he showed up with a full force to come kill Asfidel.

[SPEAKER_00]: Only discover, gone already did it, like, literally personally. [SPEAKER_01]: I do, I love everything about this because it's so imperium style. [SPEAKER_01]: You're like, hey, we've broken the mine control. [SPEAKER_01]: We've killed Asfidel. [SPEAKER_01]: We got all this stuff going on in McRoth [SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, let's not risk that.

[SPEAKER_01]: They just blow up. [SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, the ferrous like a hive gets destroyed from orbit. [SPEAKER_00]: That thing's gone. [SPEAKER_01]: And then they didn't just blow it up. [SPEAKER_01]: They level it. [SPEAKER_01]: Yeah. [SPEAKER_00]: And then along with Macaroth, your Brad's buddy showed up the Imperial Fists and the Imperial Fists, which I do love they did this.

[SPEAKER_00]: Going grab, ask for those body, shove it in the spike, and they personally incinerate entire spike, which is smart because if the ad-mec had gotten there, they would 100% start pulling that thing apart. [SPEAKER_00]: Oh, they were still good though, right? [SPEAKER_01]: They would try to reverse engineer this.

[SPEAKER_00]: 100% no, they're all bad, all that. [SPEAKER_00]: So they destroy that. [SPEAKER_00]: But now McRough has a bigger problem. [SPEAKER_00]: Well, not a bigger problem than the Civil War, but also a problem. [SPEAKER_00]: Vergasst was a hive planet. [SPEAKER_00]: I don't know, less than a year ago.

[SPEAKER_00]: Head five hives on it. [SPEAKER_00]: Vergasst, Janik, ferrzoica, and then what's called a Northern Collective, which is a group of other hives. [SPEAKER_00]: And but those are like a collection of small urban hubs. [SPEAKER_00]: There's less manufacturing terms. [SPEAKER_00]: They kind of made up the other couple hives who were up there.

[SPEAKER_00]: Now there's the Northern Collective and like 30% of Verenhive. [SPEAKER_00]: So Macro doesn't have the resources to rebuild this planet. [SPEAKER_00]: It'll take generations and the cost will be incredible. [SPEAKER_00]: To make matters worth, it's in the middle of the war zone. [SPEAKER_00]: So he can't really transport the supplies in to build it back up.

[SPEAKER_00]: So what do you do? [SPEAKER_00]: If you leave it to its own devices, it'll just turn chaos. [SPEAKER_00]: Because this place sucks to live in. [SPEAKER_00]: So he'd offer the citizens this cool thing called an act of consolidation. [SPEAKER_01]: You basically join a guard regimen or get blown up.

[SPEAKER_00]: So we'll join a guard regimen or stay here. [SPEAKER_00]: But if you stay here, we're not coming back. [SPEAKER_00]: And so that I do like this one because this is this is kind of cool. [SPEAKER_01]: Well, we get that we finally get. [SPEAKER_01]: really enforcements for the ghost. [SPEAKER_01]: I mean, this is the first time they're going to get juiced.

[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah. [SPEAKER_00]: And, but I like this act of control because I have consolidation is cool. [SPEAKER_00]: It's not a press game and it's not a new regimen. [SPEAKER_00]: What they do is they say to the citizens, you guys can go anywhere you want. [SPEAKER_00]: It's actually, it is almost a piece of honor.

[SPEAKER_00]: Because instead of saying to them, you have to go form a regiment right now, which is kind of, you know, rough or a press gang, basically, you're part of a draft now, they get to choose. [SPEAKER_00]: But the Brad's point, all the people that looked around and were like, well, there was this one regiment that was kind of who we're supposed to be.

[SPEAKER_01]: All of us, and also helped us help the citizens basically gave us food, medicine, water, defended us when no one else was. [SPEAKER_01]: So when they were given the choice, they went, I'm gonna go to those guys. [SPEAKER_00]: Those guys seem a lot cooler. [SPEAKER_00]: So they do, they go and they join the 10th.

[SPEAKER_00]: And the 10th go from less than 2,000 soldiers to over 4,500. [SPEAKER_01]: Well, also, this set is taken first and only become less taneth than anything else. [SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, they're mostly not taneth. [SPEAKER_00]: They also get female soldiers, which is going to be a big thing for a lot of their later novels.

[SPEAKER_00]: Obviously, the impure guard has female soldiers. [SPEAKER_00]: You know, they don't model them very often, but they do have them obviously, because why would you not use 50 population, the tattest had never had them before to keep part of the later novels. [SPEAKER_00]: Also does love replicate, that helps.

[SPEAKER_00]: Also mean the Brad's point half the 10th weren't from 10th, which does create some cultural divides and later novels, but more importantly, this is a major turning point for the 10th, because now they're big enough to be significant battle zones. [SPEAKER_00]: Up until this point, they were an ancillary force.

[SPEAKER_00]: They were being deployed alongside the full-blown regiments. [SPEAKER_00]: Now they are a full-blown regent today. [SPEAKER_00]: They can actually go and do stuff on their own. [SPEAKER_00]: At the same time, Gont is a big deal. [SPEAKER_00]: Macaroth just showed up on Verenheim with his massive fighting force to overtake this chaos Lord only discovered Gont killed him.

[SPEAKER_01]: So also that had just got to go them gone personally, dold him and kill him. [SPEAKER_01]: Yes, it's ain't got a legendary figure. [SPEAKER_00]: Yes, and gone also took command of entire. [SPEAKER_00]: He's done all these things. [SPEAKER_00]: So the writer is from here on out, something won up in this a little bit.

[SPEAKER_00]: but as we said at the start of the cast, this is where we're going to pause on the gaunt coverage. [SPEAKER_00]: The 15 books to get through and I didn't want to do four to six months of gaunt ghost coverage. [SPEAKER_00]: So we'll come back to them in the future and cover more of the sub-out world crusades and more gaunt ghost books.

[SPEAKER_00]: Mostly because this cast seriously here had two goals. [SPEAKER_00]: First, for those who don't know anything about the God's Ghost, we want to give you a bit of a cover and so you can know when people are talking about what they're talking about. [SPEAKER_00]: But also, I want to motivate some of you to read more of the books.

[SPEAKER_00]: You can actually read, you can go read Necropolis. [SPEAKER_01]: We let the told you your stuff out was stuff. [SPEAKER_01]: And I guess we left. [SPEAKER_01]: I didn't know about it. [SPEAKER_01]: You can actually, yeah, but, you know, I get in my rants. [SPEAKER_01]: I do stuff. [SPEAKER_01]: I get excited.

[SPEAKER_01]: I don't know if you guys have ever noticed that in the cast. [SPEAKER_01]: I get pretty pumped up about things. [SPEAKER_01]: But one of the biggest things is there's so much going on. [SPEAKER_01]: So this is actually the first book that was written as a full book near the rest of the rest of the, like, short stories.

[SPEAKER_01]: Basically, I mean, Ghost Yucker was full-stured story. [SPEAKER_01]: the dialectic and this is my favorite book in the entire series is Narcopolis. [SPEAKER_00]: This is a great book. [SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, and the hope I have it for a lot of you guys who want to know more, there are [SPEAKER_00]: 12 other books you can go read.

[SPEAKER_00]: So go read some more gonscus books. [SPEAKER_00]: It'll be a while for we come back for them for a while. [SPEAKER_00]: So let's say we have a chance to read some more gonscus books. [SPEAKER_00]: But next week new topic and there's a glaring one that allows me to check a bunch of boxes.

[SPEAKER_00]: First, we have the Zenos and a while and so I won the Zenos. [SPEAKER_00]: I also do what we love doing these large battle coverages and I'm playing Orcs again right now. [SPEAKER_00]: So, Armageddon. [SPEAKER_00]: We're going to go do these. [SPEAKER_00]: That's the war on McGetton. [SPEAKER_00]: Casgo, baby.

[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, we're going to the introduction of gas into the lore technically. [SPEAKER_00]: And yeah, this is going to be super fun. [SPEAKER_00]: It also sets up because now we're on Arm again for right now. [SPEAKER_00]: So we've got a lot of catching up to do. [SPEAKER_00]: But we're going to show you Arm again to talking about how this one came about and how well the Imperium dealt with rock.

[SPEAKER_00]: Big rock, land on planet, work, jump out, bad. [SPEAKER_00]: And also, let's me talk about the greatest commander of all time. [SPEAKER_01]: Well, hold on, let me see what you're talking about. [SPEAKER_01]: It's behind him. [SPEAKER_01]: Yeah. [SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, I do have quite a few of them out.

[SPEAKER_00]: I have the answer, I have a picture of my wall and all three models. [SPEAKER_00]: I have three models of him too at this point. [SPEAKER_01]: All right, but with that, John Barsati, Brad Chester. [SPEAKER_01]: This guy. [SPEAKER_00]: See you guys next week. [UNKNOWN]: Thank you very much.
