How are you doing? This Venus retrofit. She's just gonna be the elephant in the room for the rest of our October episodes and a little bit into November. I don't know about you guys, and I would love to hear your experiences. But I couldn't sleep under this Libra new moon. You would think there was a full moon outside, but no.
Just toss and turn, and we got a little heat wave again here in Texas, so I was hot and I don't know. I couldn't go to sleep now. Granted, this Libra new moon and this retrograde is heavily focused in my sixth house of daily routine. And this is the side of me that loves being a caregiver and memorizing things.
It's the house of Virgo. So I think this is why Mr. Virgo and I mesh so beautifully. It's because I have this Scorpio stellium in the sixth house, and then he's got a Virgo stellium in the Taurus house. That's my rising. So we are just over caretakers for each other, but he's currently pacing our friend in the Moab 240 race.
Yes, this is an ultra run of 240 miles through the Moab, Utah Desert. It's one of the most grueling races out there. And I can't be there to give him electrolytes and his ramen noodles. And I'm like, my Scorpio Moongos, who's putting that chafing butter on his in between his legs, you know? Just kidding.
But for real, I was he started his pacing during the worst weather. It's quite bizarre. Moab is getting um remnants of a tropical storm, which is so weird for the desert. And so mud, flooding. I think some people were stranded on a part of a mountain and they had to get rescued. They had to stay overnight.
Luckily, they have tents and heating and food, so they were okay to stay there overnight, but they had to wait. And now emergency crew is going to pick them up because the flooding is washing out canyons and roads. It's quite dangerous. So I was just up all night. I had dreams of flooding, of course, and uh just turned my phone on and waiting for him to say I'm okay, but they don't have service out there.
And so essentially we had to say goodbye over the phone for the next 30 to 40 hours, which um was kind of cute because we had this realization that for the last eight years, it's so weird to say that, but the last eight years we have not gone that long without speaking. I don't know if that's healthy or not, but he's just he's my person.
And I feel so lucky to have a best friend, a chosen family, uh a soul mate or twin flame, whatever you want to call it, to have that. And yeah, that was our Libra new moon. And now him and I, our twin Scorpio moons, we're having our lunar return. Uh, he'll have his first on Sunday as I record this, and then I'll have mine on Monday the 12th.
But um, yeah, definitely a piece of piece of my Venus retrograde. And then guys, I just tell me your stories. I want to know if they're like mine. The Libra new moon, I I I teach it, you know. I was like, oh, she looks soft, she looks cute. We always associate Libra with gentleness, but I don't know.
I call them closet gangsters. Listen, a Libra turned up, they're gangsta. Don't mess with them. They put Aries to shame. Don't believe me, go look. But here on the ranch yesterday, Saturday, 1010, October 10th, beautiful Libra new moon. I have this whole acreage to myself. And this is the first time I've ever had the whole property to myself.
I keep telling my mom, it feels like I'm spending the night in a national park. It's so cool. And I'm like, what a blessing to the sixth house retrograde. I'm learning just how much I adore being alone. And I love my people here, of course. That you never want to spend too much time in isolation, something my Scorpio moon had learned.
But I love it, and I'm learning to slow down and just be at peace. And since I have just the dogs to take care of, I can focus on myself more. Um, and it's definitely a cool lesson. So I'm enjoying it, right? It I'm having my sleepover in a national park. But let's see, let me get my days right. Friday night, I'm in the astrology lounge, I'm working all day towards sunset.
I leave, close the door, and I notice I uh hear a mama deer. So in our property, there are deer, white-tailed deer everywhere. It's they are just part of the neighbors. You you get used to them. Uh, and so every May we see them give birth, and it is so beautiful. Uh, one mama had twins this year. I was so excited for her, but also was like, How uh did you fit that in your little deer belly?
But okay. And so you just get to know them and kind of like animals, or you just start to see who is who by their markings. Some of these deer have long eyelashes, some of the boys have specific antlers. We name them, we get to know them. They're truly like pets. Obviously, we do not feed them because we don't want them near the dogs because I learned that the hard way.
Jackson, I'm looking at you. Yancy got beat up, but he's okay. He's okay. But man, don't mess with a mama deer, okay? But uh, you get to know them and they become just uh neighbors. They're my neighbors, and I talk to them when I do my little my commute from the house over to the astrology lounge on the other side of the property.
I'm carrying my coffee, my books, my notebooks for the day. And the deer are always right there. I'll always say things like, Betsy Lou, don't eat, don't eat my morning glories, girl, back up. And then I'll talk to the babies and be like, Go get your mama, get away from that. There might be scorpions under there.
You know, I just like say little things to them, and they're a part of your everyday. So I preface the story showing you the connection we have to animals here on the ranch. And uh, so I leave the astrology lounge Friday evening, and I hear a mama deer. If you're not familiar with deer, they make this like sorry, that sounds kind of gross, but they blow out of their snout when they're trying to tell you, hey, back the F up, get away, too close, or I'm mad.
So they'll like stomp their little hooves, or they'll make that blow sound out of their snout. So I know it very well. That's when I'm usually like Jackson, our little black bug. I'm like, get away from them. But uh, I heard that and the dogs were with me and just waking up from nap. So I'm like, uh, what's going on?
And she was just stomping and snouting and stomping and snouting. It wasn't a usual warning, it was like a freak out. So I put my stuff down and I go look in the woods right behind the lounge, and I see her stomping and like both feet, just in a panic. I'm like, what's going on, mama? So I'm looking around and there's a baby.
It's uh is laying on its side, very much not a natural fawn pose. And I'm like, oh no, he still has the spots. I mean, he was a young baby, probably born in June or July. And he's just laying there, and so I get closer to the fence because we have a fence to keep the deer as much as we can out of the property.
So mama gets scared from me and the dogs, and she takes off, and I'm looking at the baby. The baby lifts its head up and it's bobbling, and he looks like he's just glazed over. I'm like, oh no. I'm looking for wounds on him, for blood, any signs of like broken legs, nothing. Now, here in Texas, without getting too off track, we have a lot.
I always say living in Texas is every time you walk outside, you're in Hunger Games. You're a freaking Hunger Games movie because there's just always sharp items and objects and plants and things that are poisonous that you just I love Texas. I'm so proud to be a resident of the Lone Star State, welcomed with open arms as a transplant here.
But you gotta be rough around the edges to enjoy nature. Let's just say that. So uh I'm very well versed with what we have on the ranch now: scorpions. We have poisonous coral snakes. Obviously, Texas is notorious for rattlesnakes, although I have not seen one. There have not been any reported in our neighborhood.
Our neighbors are very good at reporting that. So I'm assuming the poor thing got bit by a black widow, which we've seen everywhere, bit by a scorpion, stung by a scorpion or something, a coral snake, because Jackson here was bit by what we assume was either a black widow or a coral snake, and that was a nice emergency vet trip.
So we're we're well versed on the signs and symptoms. This little baby looked like he had it. So I was like, dang, I I don't want to touch it because I wasn't sure if it was paralyzed, and if I picked it up, it would break something else. I moved closer and it scared the fawn enough to where he tried to run away, but he was paralyzed.
One of or both of his legs were just not connected to his brain, and he was just all over the place. So I was like, okay, maybe he just needs to let this clear out of his system. I don't want to mess with it. So I went to our garden. I picked one of our watermelons, they're doing really well right now, cracked it open on a rock, and I put it next to him because I knew mama would probably come back to watch him and she would need some food, water, and electrolytes.
And so I left that there for her and the baby because I assumed I just thought the baby was like stung by something and was like, ouch, I need to sit here for a second. So I was like, Well, they'll be hungry. And I left some cucumbers, fresh watermelon from the zodiac garden beds. Didn't think anything of it.
Went home, cooked dinner, went to bed. I wake up the next morning and I come back to the astrology lounge, get to work a little bit, didn't see anything. In fact, I thought I saw mama deer with baby at the gate, the front gate. So I I told my mom, I told Jay L, I was like, hey, they're better. The baby's better now.
Thank goodness. So I went back, I saw the watermelon all chewed up. I'm like, perfect. My plan worked, nice, okay. Probably just got stung by something and needed to rest. Well, I work a little bit and then around noon, I'm I pack up because it's Saturday. I didn't want to work too much. And I'm walking back to the house, and there's the fawn.
And he's sitting up against the fence, and his head is like underneath the bottom of the fence, like twisted underneath of him. It was just so contorted. I thought, holy crap, his neck is broken. Did an animal try and kill him? Like, I thought he was better. Clearly, I got my dears mixed up this morning.
And so I rush over to him and I'm like, hey, little baby, hey, hey, hey, what's going on? He's breathing, it's hot out, and the sun's baking on us. The dogs start barking, and I'm like, oh no. Just chaos. And so I grab the dogs away from him, put them up in the house, and then I start, I post on the next door app.
I Google and ask AI, like, where's the nearest wildlife rehab? Not gonna get into that because you guys are here for Pluto, but this is such a Pluto story, I promise. Wait till just wait for it. Uh essentially one wildlife rescue, which is 45-50 minutes away. Yes, like an hour we are in Texas after all on a ranch.
They said, throw it in the back of your car and come see us immediately. And I thought, uh I just couldn't, there's no way I could pick up this deer. It like, even though it was a fawn, these things are heavy. And then my Tesla is not big, it's a car. So I was like, uh, and I don't have a crate. And what if it jumps up and freaks out in the car while I'm driving and I don't have a crate for it?
And so she was people are so text. And some of them were like, Do you have a gun? Can you put it out of its misery? I was like, I'm not doing that. I understand the premise of it, but I'm a hypocrite. I'll eat meat, but I'm not killing it. So no, not an option here. Um, some people were like, call your local vet.
I'm like, I just don't think they're gonna come. Uh one lady, the local lady, wildlife really, she was only, I guess you have to be licensed to work with deer. She could only do small mammals, so she just kind of walked me through on the phone what to do. It was tough. It was really tough. And you could tell time was on the essence.
And so eventually, um, a family friend came by and he helped me out. But I was in the the house on the phone with this wildlife rescue woman, and she was explaining all the steps I needed to take and all the things I'll need to do once I get to a separate wildlife rehab. But then I explained to her, I cannot transport this.
I don't have the means to, and I couldn't find anyone with a truck or a crate to help me with, you know, time we have probably an hour left of the deer's life. It's a mess, nothing's working. Eventually, I'm like, I just don't know what to do. And so I run back to the astrology lounge where the deer was right behind at the fence, and I sit there and it's huffing and puffing even harder now, and its breaths are now starting to be like I'm like, uh oh, this is the end.
There, there's there's no point in me just staying on the phone and scaring this thing even further. So I go put my phone up, dogs are away, it's peaceful, it's quiet, not a cloud in the sky. It's hot, it's sunny, 90. And I sit. I sit next to this fawn and I put my hands on its heart, on its little belly.
I rub some of the white spots, and his slow breaths turn into as if he felt my touch. And I kept calling him he. I couldn't tell his I don't know how to identify deer. I'm assuming they just have a penis and that, but I couldn't tell, and I wasn't about to go look at him for that. But I just felt like it was a boy.
And so I just touched him. I closed my eyes. The sun was caking my skin just hot. I didn't have my hat, but I just sat there and I said, It's okay. It's okay. I kept brushing the fire ants off of him because boy, again, hunger games. And he took his last breath in my arms. He took his last right in my arms.
And I was like, Whoa, did this just really happen? And so I touch his neck, you know, they got those long, like drag necks. I'm like, nope, no pulse. I put my hand on his stomach, and there's no breath. There was like liquid and fluid moving as it does when something passes. And I was like, oh no, that's not a heartbeat, that's not a breath.
And he passed right next to me. And it's almost like he wanted someone to sit with him and hold him through this scary moment. And so he was over the fence, and I'm short, I cannot hop the fence to grab him. And so a family friend came over and with gloves on, he helped me put our hands through the fence, and we lifted up the fawn by his leg, like right through each hole, and then we got him over the fence, and I had him put it in the back of his truck, and he drove it to these beautiful twisted oaks on the far end of our property.
And uh he was, you know, he's just a Texan, he's like, Here you go, I'll put it right here for you. And when he left, I went out there and I talked to the deer, and I wanted to know what happened, and so I kind of looked around his body for bite marks, for blood, for swelling, nothing, no ticks, nothing, clean as can be.
So I who knows? Who knows? But I grabbed some snow on the mountain, flowers that are in bloom right there, some vitex that we have, and I placed it around him, and he's under the most beautiful spot. Maybe I didn't know if it was like I don't know, triggering to post a picture, but I put a I put I took a picture of him underneath the oak tree, the old mature oak tree.
To me, it's so beautiful, but I understand I have a Scorpio moon and think death is gorgeous. Um but I sat him there and also confirmed he was a boy. I found his little winky as I was looking for snake bites, but uh yeah, it was sad, it was so beautiful. I have only ever put an animal down through euthanasia, which I thought was also beautiful.
I've never had it organically happen, but I don't know. I just felt I felt so bad for the mama dear. I haven't seen her to this day. I have not seen her. Um, I couldn't eat. I couldn't eat dinner, and I don't know if it was just the adrenaline of Mr. Virgo's race or just the heart-wrenching feeling of this poor little animal.
I can imagine, I just think of the fear he must have felt when he was sick, or just uh I couldn't eat, I couldn't even eat breakfast until noon today because I was still, I walked over there this morning and just to make sure, like, ugh, of course he's covered in ants, but I put more flowers by him and let nature do its thing.
So that's my that's my Pluto direct story. That's my Libra New Moon story. I do what I ask you guys to do, and I added it to my future note to say, don't know what's going on or what this means. I'm not ready to make a meaning out of it, but it was definitely an experience. And I don't know, it's it's something about this land, I think.
I it was a bonding moment, a connecting moment with this land, and how much I love it. How much I absolutely love it. So, hi everybody. Welcome to another episode of the astrology lounge. I'm your host, your deer keeper, your wildlife rehabilitation and astrologer. Stephanie Powers, and this week, Pluto, the planet of death, goes direct.
Let's explain what this means. Because it's not bad, it's not negative, it's not scary. In fact, Pluto goes retrograde five to six months every year. So it's it's not that big of a deal, but I want to weave it all together for you because it's happening during this Venus retrograde. We'll have an upcoming Mercury retrograde and Mars retrograde, all while Pluto is moving direct forward.
So I think it it's a piece of the larger story that I think is worth sharing. So remember, Pluto makes one long U-turn annually and it's retrograde. So it usually stations retrograde around late spring for us in North America, so like May, June, and it lasts until mid-autumn. So around October to early November, it'll go retrograde again.
And it needs to because picture a food pyramid, right? Hierarchy pyramid. Pluto's at the foundation in the base. We're all focused on the top of it, which is our sun and then Venus and the Mercury retrograde, while ignoring or not paying attention to the massive transformation of Pluto at the base that influences all of the other retrograde changes and eclipses on the top.
So it because Pluto moves so slowly, it usually only backtracks across two to three degrees of the zodiac during the whole year. That's why it spends uh decades in one zodiac sign, because each zodiac sign is roughly 29 degrees. Pluto, I love, I love Pluto. I know um modern astrology is he's the underworld, he's demonic, he's death, he's scary.
But there is gold within death. There is there is some serious riches and treasures within death, both literal deaths, but also metaphorical deaths. A death of who you used to be, a death of how you used to feel, right? I know in American culture, death is just feared greatly. Although I don't know. You guys like that episode where I said, why do people put blood on their garage for Halloween decorations?
Not about it. Get yourself a little cute black cat and a witch. Why do you gotta put blood and murder and what the heck? So maybe not everybody's so afraid of Pluto after all, but it's the planet of great transformation. Guys, go back in the archives. I'm really proud of my Pluto episodes. Pluto moved into Aquarius in early 2023, and it'll be here until like 20.
Where is my Pluto? I can't find my Pluto poster, but he's gonna be here until like 2048 or something like that. Long time. AI. We could end this episode just by saying, guys, look at the transformation of our collective society through artificial intelligence. ChatGPT hit the scene right when Pluto moved into Aquarius.
Pluto moved into Aquarius in March 2023, and that is exactly when ChatGPT, ChatGPT, Chat GPT. I'm like, oh well, here we go. Here is our AI story for the two decades Pluto's gonna be in Aquarius. Aquarius, I think also, Pluto and Aquarius, the deep change is I feel like politically speaking, we have to talk politics.
This is Aquarius, the people, right? I feel like democracy is diminishing or dissolving. I feel like the left is coming with the right, and they're all starting to realize wait a second, this that this was never us versus each other. This was us versus them. Hold on. I was waiting for this to happen.
I thought that would be the thing that happened initially, but AI took that cake, but now. I think the next piece is the people are utilizing AI and the internet to see the truth of what's going on within politics and the world, society, government thing. For sure. And when Pluto is retrograde, these are internal changes.
How do I process what I just found out? When Pluto goes direct, what am I going to do about what I just found out? So it's very interesting that Pluto's going direct during a Venus retrograde, right? That's where astrology gets confusing, doesn't it? Because you're like, oh wait, Venus says pause. Pluto says move.
Venus says gather data. Pluto says, do you want to start inching forward with that data? Start making the plans, the concrete plans to move forward with the data you now have. And of course, Pluto moving direct during this whole thing about the Cornell 7, about rape, about sexual abuse. I am Jane Doe, that I talked about that last time.
We are all a part of this big collective tapestry. What is going on collectively is happening individually. And how we behave and feel individually will be a direct reflection of what's going on collectively. You know what I'm saying with this? You get it? Epstein, broken political promises, Cornell 7.
It all stirs up reactions in us because we've experienced it. So I would look at this and go, whoa, if people are so upset about the president of the United States breaking promises he kept, where have we broken promises? To ourselves. Where have we like it's just as above, so below. Everything is together.
I always think, like, I understand the uproar that people have with political figures, but I always sit back and think, guys, you're you how do I explain this? You can't heal where you got sick. We can't ask the people who harm us to heal us. Do you know what I'm saying here? And I think that that is the big Pluto and Aquarius lesson is we have to stop relying on one person or party to come through and save us when they have proven time and time again that they are not going to do that.
Right? And I'm not calling for a massive war, civil war. I don't believe that solves anything. But there's something like instead of harnessing and focusing and directing anger towards one person or one party, we've got to transmute that into okay, you're not coming to save me. What am I gonna do? What am I gonna do?
Am I gonna start bartering with my neighbors? Am I gonna step out of my comfort zone and get to know strangers a little bit more and just focus on the micro level so that the macro all of a sudden changes? That's why I always say, like, I don't vote. I haven't voted, honestly, guys, since I was 18. And I only did because I was on a college campus, and that is breeding grounds for being politically influenced heavily.
And ever since then, it just even when I was a little girl who couldn't vote, learning about it, it never felt right. I always felt like my ballot is my dollar. I think it, I think it is. If I money is power, that's a big Pluto Venus story for us. Money is power, it is, and I always teach you guys whenever you you do readings with me and we talk about you gotta charge, what are you gonna charge for your services?
And you guys undercharge. I'm pointing a dirty finger, but I've also cleaned that finger so I can point it. Um, how much you charge for a service is a direct reflection and psychologically affects what people think of your services or your product. It's science. You can study it. If someone sells a t-shirt, if I were to go put astrology lounge merch, if I were to make a hoodie, like $900, some of you might be like, this bitch is crazy.
But most people would be like, what is that made out of? Did she sign and tattoo the sleeve? Like, is it made out of carat 40 400 carat gold? I don't even know. I don't know. You would be like, what a luxury product. Similarly, if you see someone offer a birth chart reading or a tarot reading for a thousand dollars an hour, you must be like, they're about to unlock Pandora's box of my life.
I want to save up for this. And uh sometimes it is true. I've paid quite a bit of money to work with uh people, and I at times I've been like, man, this better be good. And it is. I'd pay it again. It is, I will say that. I have never, in my experience, I have never paid a large amount of money to have a reading, a consultation, and a spiritual or energetic science that I didn't think I got what I paid for.
They were that good. They could charge that because they were that freaking good. So I don't know, but this this is a Venus retrograde story, by the way. But I pay, I vote with my dollar because I feel like the dollar holds power over these things. Gosh. So I think collectively we are in the Aquarius energy, which is making what was once weird normal.
Hi, astrology, absolutely everywhere. And we are making what was once considered normal dead. And I think about what's currently hot on the news outlets right now, sexual abuse. All these people are coming forward, like, whoa, all the quotes I have heard, like women give birth to men, yet they're giving birth to someone they will soon have to watch the parking lot and carry pepper spray and protect themselves from.
That is so and then the other quote that was like if a man showed up drunk to a house full of women, women, he would be taken care of like he was at a bed and breakfast. But if a woman showed up at a man's house drunk, there's a very high risk that something sexual or abusive may take place. Like, what?
Whoa, why? What is going on? Why is that statistically? And uh at times I stutter over that because I'm like, I don't want to discredit the amazing men that I have met that are fighting the good fight and helping this, but also it needs to be spoken about that statistically, women are more afraid of running into a man on a hiking trail than a grizzly bear.
What? What I think about that all the time too. I'd love to go for a run in the canyons around our property, but I am so terrified of running into a man. I have a story about that. I don't want to make the entire Pluto direct episode my personal stories, but listen, I've got some Pluto stories. Can I just can I tell you really quick?
Okay, I used to hike around the Greenway. Remember, I talk about this all the time. From like 2013 to 2016, I did two-hour hikes around a Greenway in South Carolina, right outside of my apartment every single day. It's where I used to do like self-therapy. I would talk to myself and then I'd talk out loud.
And at the very end of it, before I moved and left the Greenway, I said out loud, I think I'm gonna talk for a living one day. Voila, talk to myself for a living. Here we are. But one time towards the end of these two years, I went on my hike. I mean, status quo, I could do that hike blindfolded. I'd done it so many times.
But all the it was a dark, cloudy, cold, rainy day. Didn't think anyone's gonna be out there. There never really was anyway. But I shit you not. I'm on my walk and I look across the field and I see a kid, probably like 13 to 14, tall, lanky, definitely in puberty. I see a kid just standing in the field.
Like I'm talking children of the corn just standing in a field, staring at me. And I thought, number one, how did you get through all that field sticker burrs and things? And why are you standing in the middle of it? And why are you staring at me like dead stare? It gave me the heeba dejiba dejeeba. I was like, okay, something about this is very, very wrong.
Granted, I was a 26-year-old woman, he was a 13, 14 year old boy. I wasn't that scared. I mean, I'm tiny, so he was kind of my size, but I was like, okay, like he gave off the vibe that he was autistic or suffering from something mental, like he might have escaped from something. Listen, my brother has Asperger's.
I know it will. And so I was like, whatever, I'll keep going, keep walking. He darts across the field and starts chasing. I mean, full sprint of those long legs chasing me. Fight or flight kicked in, and mine was flight. Run, run, run, run, run. I ran so fast and had the worst feeling about what he wanted to do to me.
I don't think he wanted to rate me. I did that. I was on the vibe. I just thought he would murder me. I thought he was going to kill me. I'm not kidding. This is what I thought. I ran, I ran, I ran. I get to a hill. I'm like, shit, this is gonna be so hard to run this fast up because it was steep, but I do it anyway.
I get to the top and I start throwing up because I'm so nervous and I just pushed it and ran and didn't couldn't catch my breath. I'm throwing up, he reaches me, stops about 30 feet away, and just stands there stiff as a board, staring at me, and I'm like, the police are on their way. The police are on their way.
And oh my god, it was so bad. And then he just took off and ran through the woods. He never touched me. And he was barefoot, by the way. Maybe he wanted to be my friend, I don't know. But I I've got a pretty good gauge on that. So, how does that weave into a Pluto direct story? I don't know. We gotta be prepared to handle things, we gotta be prepared to not let those scary things taint the present.
Because I think ever since then, I have been a little nervous to go on trails, even though that was 10 years ago now. Um you know what's sad too is that I have a feeling you guys are listening to this and you're gonna send me your stories. I think I've shared that story years ago in the podcast, and I got flooded with so many similar stories.
And here's the thing, and I'm not biased. I of course I'm a girl's girl, but I always want to weigh the genders. But I don't know if a 14-year-old girl would do that, no matter what mental state she was at. I don't know. I can't picture it. Maybe it's happened if you if it's at I don't know. I don't know.
I did end up calling the police and just letting them know like if there's a kid missing from school or escape from something, he's at the Ann Springs Greenway in Fort Mill. So good luck. Go find him. But uh gosh, do you guys remember the story too when I was in an Airbnb in Colorado and someone broke in?
Okay, well, stop. Go to my substack. This is where I share all my life stories. I feel like I've already lost people who are like, can you just talk about Pluto? All right, your role in the movement that was making what was once normal, normaliciz. Is that normalicized? Is that a word? Your job in making what was normal, but it was toxic, it's gotta die.
Is the house that is ruled by Aquarius in your chart? If you're an Aquarius rising, you are the brand. Your identity, who you are, who you're becoming is changing the collective. Aquarius is my 10th house. I'm devoting my career to making astrology normal. And uh yeah, if you want a good idea of this, go check out your Aquarius placements or the house that is ruled by Aquarius.
Okay, May 7th of this year, 2026. Do you guys remember May? There was a lot of lunar events in that month. Pluto went retrograde at five degrees Aquarius. Pluto moves direct October 15th, 2026, at 3 degrees Aquarius. So we're gonna experience Pluto going over those same degrees, three, four, and five, all the way to February 23rd, 2027.
When we begin new territory that we've never seen before in this great Pluto transformation at six degrees Aquarius, he'll move to seven degrees Aquarius, and then believe it or not, he'll go retrograde again at seven and come back to five. So, again, this is big, but it's not. It's something that is just kind of playing in the background of your life.
That's why I usually want to give you guys practical advice on how to use these transits. But Pluto is just something that is going to happen, whether we change it or not, but it's just something that may be beneficial to bring awareness to at times, especially if you have Aquarius placements. But other than that, it's just the collective and what we're going through and growing through.
Go back to February's archives from this year during Aquarius season. I talked about Pluto and Aquarius in great detail. I was really proud of that episode. So go listen to it if you're new here and you want to know exactly what Pluto and Aquarius means. So, really quickly, in case we have new listeners here, Pluto, yes, some people argue it's not a planet, but for astrology symbolism, it is.
It represents all the Scorpio themes: power, control, death, rebirth, transformation. Um, Pluto isn't literal death, although sometimes it can be. It often represents the death of an identity, an attachment style, a belief you have about yourself or others, a relationship dynamic or a certain way of living, right?
Someone might spend years believing that they have to lose themselves or just please everyone, Libra, to be loved, to get attention, to get respect. Then something happens in their life that forces them to confront that belief because they get just sick of living for everyone else. So the person that they used to be starts disappearing.
That's Pluto. That's why I tell you guys when you come to me in the book of transits reading, you're like, Pluto's gonna be squaring my Venus. Ah, I'm like, I get it, right? Surface level astrology might say, ooh, that sucks. But squares move things. And so to that person, I would say, ooh, if Pluto is squaring your Venus, you're gonna feel the courage and the idea and the inner movement of something I love needs to change, or I want to make money in a different way.
I want my attachment styles, Venus, to change. I value myself more, and now I'm gonna make decisions based off of that new found sense of self. Yes, I love Pluto. If Pluto were conjunct my Venus or Square My Venus, which he will be in like five years, I'd be like, come for my money, Pluto, because I want big kid money.
Come teach me, influence me, the undercurrent of my life that pushes me to transform when I don't even realize it. It just happens to transform my values and my money. Heck yeah. Come on into my house, Pluto. Sit down. Teach me the power of letting something go. Pluto, so Pluto doesn't take away what you love, it challenges what has power over you.
Pluto gives you your power back. I love him, her, whatever you want to refer to him as. So a Pluto retrograde, and we had this from May 6th until right now, October 15th, is the realization. We recognize where we've given away our power, what we're afraid to lose, or who we're afraid to lose, and which patterns gotta end.
They're done. How beautiful is this to happen during the Venus retrograde? It's like adding some gasoline to the Venus retrograde fire for you, for you to feel empowered and go, wait a second, I got this. You hear the wind kicking up the wind chimes outside? See? Winds of change. You know what I call that around here.
The universe agrees. So when Pluto moves direct right now, October 15th, um, all the way till next spring, it's the transformation. We begin applying the realizations that we've had since May through decisions, setting boundaries, or having meaningful exchanges, conversations with people where we're like, nope, I got this newfound sense of self.
All of a sudden, what I was very afraid of back in May, I'm not afraid of anymore. And I don't know when it happened. I just, I'm not. Oh, that was Pluto operating in the background. Pluto retrograde shows you what's no longer working. Pluto Direct asks you what you're gonna do about it, right? So in the sign of Aquarius, this sign is traditionally associated with communities, the collective, your friends, social media.
Aquarius says, Capricorn, what's the rule? Okay, I'm gonna bend it. I love it. Aquarius answers questions like where do I belong? How do I fit in? How can I be myself while participating in something bigger than me? Right? So Pluto and Aquarius is symbolically transforming our relationship with social media, the internet, AI, technology.
What are they calling it now? A wait no, super, super information technology, super intelligence, SI. Super intelligence, like that's just crazy. Oh my gosh. I think if you follow news around AI and all that stuff, I have a feeling that AI is going to just when they talk about we're nervous, it's gonna get out of control.
I would predict that when Pluto goes direct from now until let me give you guys the exact date. Let me pull up my ephemeris, is when we're gonna see AI just pew fly through the roofs. Okay, Pluto will be direct October 15th this week, all the way until May 9th. It'll go retrograde at seven degrees, which I don't know.
Look, you got me scratching my head. I don't know. But I do think AI is about to implode. I already think it has, and so imagining Pluto going direct through this is like, oh, baby, baby. Listen, I am all about having a robot come clean my house. 100%. That I'm all for it. If it helps me, like let's go.
Just stay out of the human stuff like arts and emotions, and I don't know. I mean, how many of you use Chat GPT or AI to talk about your birth chart? How many of you use it to talk about a relationship? Be honest. Come on, Venus retrograde, Venus is retrograde, Scorpio. Be honest. How many of you use that, right?
And then, like, secretly, people around you are going, I can't believe AI is replacing therapists. And you're like, my mom thinks AI is. Here's a screenshot of my text with him. Can you decode if I'm the narcissist or he right? Like, listen, I'm not knocking it. I think AI is amazing. I named mine Alyssa, she's cool.
But, and I prompt her, I always I literally prompted mine to say, don't be biased against me. I want truth. I want reasoning. And I still don't trust it. But I prompted it too. That leads to the bigger question, which I asked on Substack for you guys that follow me there. I said, We can get so mad at the billionaires creating AI until we realize we're the ones using it all the time.
Even if you don't use Chat GPT, you're using AI in some sort of form. And we are the ones collectively, like our neighbors are using AI to talk about their relationships, to talk about this. Why? Why aren't we going to a friend? Why aren't we going to a family member? Why aren't we going to a therapist?
Why are we choosing to talk to a chat box over those things? That's the bigger picture that a political figure or a leader is not going to fix. To me, is what's going on at home. I know this kind of sounds conservative, and I am not conservative by any sense of the means, but what's going on at home?
What is happening within those four walls? I think that's the bigger piece here. So Pluto and Aquarius individually is losing the fear that kept us from being ourselves, our individual, unique selves. Pluto retrograde, we question why we need to fit in, why we're afraid to share our opinion on social media, or why we even feel like we need to.
Why do we feel the need to show up on social media and post everything we're doing? When Pluto turns direct, all of a sudden we're establishing boundaries with ourselves and others. We're finding different friendships, we're finding different groups that we tend to fit in with more. We're just allowing ourselves to become more authentic in the house that rules Aquarius.
Again, for me, it's my 10th house, my career. The direction of my life feels more authentically aligned with who I am today. You guys are so sweet. Those of you who are new here and old, you guys go back and listen to my episodes from 2018 and 2019. Guys, I was like a whole decade younger. I sound different, I talk differently.
Um I'm just different. I want you guys to remember that too. Um, people, you're when you take in podcasts or you follow people on YouTube or social media, you're watching them grow up lifetime. And even though I am a grown adult, I'm still a human that's evolving and changing, and I'm always going to change.
I think that it's so important to change who you are and outgrow people, things, places because you're evolving and consistently just reaching a higher consciousness, a higher level of energy, you know. And so, yeah, some people are kind of rude and they're like, Hey, I think you have ADD, you talk way too fast now.
I can't slow you down. And then I have other people who are like, Can you speak up? You talk way too slow. I gotta put it on two times the speed. And so I'm like, I you can't please everyone. I just show up as myself. Those who love me, love me. Who are annoyed? Well, plenty of other podcasts to go listen to.
It's all good. But this is Pluto and Aquarius moving direct. Period. No matter where it is in your birth chart, who are you outgrowing? What group are you outgrowing? What do you think about politics? What do you think about these social movements? You don't need to discuss and debate them with people on the internet, which listen, I have a theory that you get in fights in the comment section with bots.
There's some people in there all the time, but with bots. Right? And how come so many people have negative experiences with dating apps? Statistically speaking, why do people have such negative experiences with people on dating apps? Right? It's like it was invented with good intentions, and I do know some of you met your partners through that, but there's statistically a lot more people who have just awful experience that they feel they they tell me they feel icky, they just feel gross, they feel dirty on it.
Like, that's interesting. And also, if someone puts their sun sign in their bio, run because you're not looking for an ego mate, you're looking for a soul mate. Say, I don't care if you're a Virgo, what's your moon sign? It's kind of like the astrology meme. That's like, I don't care what your birth chart is, show me who raised you.
I love that one. That's a good one. So I can't encourage you guys enough to reflect back on May 6, 2026, or just the entire month of May when Pluto stationed retrograde. What have you learned about yourself over the past five months? What are you, what are you way less willing to tolerate? Where have you noticed unhealthy power dynamics?
Where are you more aware of where you have been compromising your individuality to make someone with bigger, more controlling energy calm down or happier? Where have you lost your sense of self because of someone else's unkempt insecurities? Right? So Pluto turns direct during a Venus retrograde. We're still in an era of revising, rethinking, redoing how we love and how we expect people to love us back.
But Pluto has us moving forward full steam ahead with this is who I am, this is what I expect, and I am no longer entertaining power dynamics. In fact, I'm actually pretty content living alone and having a peaceful routine. If that means I don't have to worry about somebody else's darkness. Pluto turning direct does not mean a breakup, does not mean a major life event.
No, we'll say Venus might, but not Pluto. The biggest change of Pluto is internal and collective. Um, it could just be something as simple as someone who once felt powerless begins realizing they actually have choices and they're unafraid of making those choices. And that realization changes everything.
I think of the fertility example. How many times have I heard in my career when I help people with fertility, both when I was a holistic health coach and now through astrology, where as soon as they book an appointment for IBF and they see it on the calendar, boom, pregnant. And they're like, What? It took me six years, and just to see the weight of I am handing over the power, the darkness, the pain of this journey to a medical professional, something internal in the body relaxes to the point of conception coming in.
I have heard that so many times. It is fascinating to me. I love that. It's like you can't measure that. Science can't prove that, but it's data, it's data collection. That's what I think of with Pluto moving direct for all of us. Not that we're all getting pregnant. But then there's something that it just goes, it doesn't bother me anymore.
I'm breaking up with them because I just I don't feel bad anymore. I mean, I'm a human and I feel bad for heartbreak, but I don't, I'm not staying stuck somewhere because I feel bad for someone else. I feel bad for me now. That's a Pluto direct feeling right there. Right? So Pluto moving direct. What have you realized since May about something you can no longer tolerate?
What are you done with? Where are you where since May have you been trying to control an outcome because you were afraid of happen? What happens if you let go? Where have you been holding on to something that has been slowly eroding your soul and your energy? Where have you been keeping a secret? Not in a malicious way, but in a way of if I share this, I risk losing someone.
If I share this, I risk losing myself. If I share this, my identity changes forever. And what is one action that you can take through the end of the year where you can reclaim your power? Ooh, I love that one. And this is where Venus retrograde weaves in, right? Venus is retrograding through Scorpio and Libra.
Scorpio is the sign of Pluto. At the same time, Pluto begins moving forward through Aquarius. So we've got Scorpio, secrets, sex, transformation, Libra, balance, love, fairness, relationships, Aquarius. Let's make what's weird now normal. Venus retrograde asks, what do I value? What relationships are healthy?
Where have things become unbalanced? Pluto moving direct says, now that you recognize the imbalance, are you willing to change the underlying power dynamic both in your mind but also with a person, a place in front of you? That's interesting, right? Because Venus is our desires, values, relationships, and Pluto is the fears and attachments that sit underneath them.
As Venus is money, are we staying at a job where our boss or our coworkers are just so power hungry and not paying us fairly because we just need a paycheck? Because have you seen how much groceries are? We might be ready to say, no, no, no, I don't care how much groceries are. This is not worth losing myself to.
Of course, if it's a romantic relationship, where are you ready to let go of old trust issues, old sexual wounds to move forward with this new standard and value that will come forth in all of your connections in the future? Ooh, right? Someone might realize under this sky that they're staying in a relationship because they are so terrified of being alone.
And this energy would say, okay, well, why? Where did I become so afraid of being alone? Is it for my physical safety? Is it because of emotional safety? Where did this come from? That's what these want you to dive into. Right? Someone else might realize that their need for approval or to be seen or to look good on social media has been dictating their career choices.
Looking at you, cancer risings. And they're ready to stop doing that. They don't care. They're not here to impress people, they're here to change things. So Venus retrograde has us re-examining what we want. And with Pluto direct, we're being invited to change the deeper pattern that got us into a relationship or a situation that we didn't really want, but we were fulfilling it for some wounded need.
Uh-huh. So since May, Pluto's been asking us to look beneath the surface of our entire life. Especially that Aquarius house. Where have we been afraid? Where have where has fear of the unknown paralyzed us? Especially fear around money, fear around taxes, government, all the Aquarius themes that Pluto wants to change.
Fear around how we're seen on the internet, fear around what our friends will think. Where have you convinced yourself that you don't have a choice? Well, Steph, shut up. I can't leave this job. I gotta make my okay, so don't answer the call, Pluto. Well, I can't leave this relationship because my kids well don't get me started on that subject.
Pluto is moving forward, and maybe the circumstances around you haven't changed yet. Maybe your relationships all look the same. Maybe you're still working that job that you can't leave and living in the same house that you really don't want to be in, but something inside of you, no doubt, has changed.
You know exactly what I'm talking about. Something deep inside of you has been activated. And once you recognize that power within, that that flame has been lit, it's very difficult, if not impossible, to go back to pretending you don't have any power anymore. Ooh, I love this for us, guys. Pluto is not taking away anything from us, it's challenging what has power over us.
And now we are ready to move forward. Transformation is not about losing something all the time, it's about losing the fear of losing something. You know what I mean? The fear of losing something, someone, doesn't take over my relationship. And so if I enter a romantic relationship, like they better stay with me, they better always be with me, they better never leave me, I'm destined to fail.
But if I go into a relationship with, like, sure, of course, no one wants to get broken up with, and I'm really enjoying this, and I hope it lasts quite a while. But if it doesn't, I'll go through the heartbreak, but I'll be alright. I'll live a pretty dang good life and be thankful for that experience.
That is the landing pad that Pluto Direct wants us to reach. So, guys, that's it. Thank you for listening to my personal stories in the beginning. I think they're so Plutonian. I do have a Scorpio moon, conjunct Scorpio Venus, conjunct Pluto and Scorpio. So I've got stories if you want them, and I write those over on Substack where I drop astrology a little bit and just talk about life.
And um, it's fun. I really enjoy it. And thank you guys. There's been a lot of new followers over there. I appreciate you hanging out with me on that side of the internet. We we cannot build a new life after this while continuing to make decisions from our old fears. That's the one thing I want you to take away from this.
Jupiter's sitting somewhere in your chart, blessing it. Pluto is going, transforming something. Saturn is activating a part of your chart that you're at the gym and you're like, oh, I want to go lay on the couch and eat googes, but Saturn's like, come on, let's go. You'll thank me when I leave. But this Pluto transformation, it says, don't operate from fear anymore.
Oh, thank you guys so much. I asked a question on the last episode to my listeners who have children. I wanted to know how come us 90s kids got to run feral around the neighborhood? And how come today kids don't play outside, at least not where I've been seeing it? And you guys gave me such cool examples why you raise your kids a certain way.
Nobody was mean about it. You guys were also neutral and taught me a lot. Thank you so much for sharing your stories. Again, I'm sorry, I can't respond to every one of them. I would be sitting in this lounge for days, and your girl's trying to strength train, dump some glucose, okay? I really enjoy reading that and I learned so much.
So thank you. I I love the symbiotic environment you and I have created on this podcast. Invisible friends, we are. But uh I learned a lot. It was really cool to read your stories. So feel free to keep those rolling. But where was I going with that? Oh, this Pluto direct is us saying, I'm not scared anymore.
I'm not scared of something that early in 2026 would have petrified me and terrified me. I don't know. I'm kind of like in my Aquarius era where yeah, that'll be quite a big change, and I'll have to meet new people or get to know a new neighborhood, or I'll have to start over as the new kid on the block at a new job, or I'll have to date again, whatever your situation may be.
I hope that as you listen to this, you're unafraid of moving towards it and that you look through it through a more Aquarian lens. Guys, I can't. There is a praying mantis dancing. He's a big boy too, dancing on my window. Yes, I will be posting this on Substack. The wildlife continuously interrupts our show, but I've probably literally like lean with it, cock with it, lean it, cock with it.
It's hilarious. What is hold on? We can't we can't leave here. Maybe the animal symbolism for a praying mantis what is very plutonian. A praying mantis mean in spirituality. I don't know, symbolism, patience, mindfulness, stillness, and divine guidance. Ooh, coming from the Greek word mantis, meaning prophet.
The insect is linked to inner vision, higher awareness, extrasensory perception. Ooh, it pairs a serene meditative posture with sudden calculated precision. Good luck and blessings. In many cultures, seeing a praying mantis is viewed as a positive omen of good fortune, prosperity, or a nudge from the universe to realign your path.
Okay. Wow. The mantis waits motionless for long periods before striking, teaching you to pause, quiet your mind, and wait for the right moment. I don't know. Something in that you guys know now, he's gone. Okay, he appeared and now he's gone. So that was for you. All right. If you guys want to work with me, visit astrology-lounge.com.
We have many other ways to continue your astrology education off-air. I will be here for you. Let's see, this week is kind of quiet. I'm trying to think what we'll come up with midweek to chat about. I don't want to leave you hanging. Maybe we'll talk early about Scorpio season, or maybe we'll do a little, let's see, I've got a lot of activity next weekend.
Reminder, October 24th, Venus could jump the sun, midway point of this retrograde. Full moon in Doris on the 25th. Mercury joins the party. Retrograde, Scorpio season 24th, Mercury 24th. Like goodness sake. I gotta break some of this down. We're gonna talk about it early, I guess. Later this week. So visit the show notes, visit the website.
I'm here for you. Share your lived experience of astrology. I always think that is the best. And happy Pluto direct. Remember, you are unafraid of what's next. Sending love from Twin Moon Ranch. Bye.
