Dion & The Belmonts | Dion DiMucci | Chazz Palminteri Show | EP 236

This week on The Chazz Palminteri Show, I sit down with my good friend and musical icon, Dion DiMucci — the voice of a generation and a true Bronx legend.

From The Wanderer to Runaround Sue, Dion helped define the sound of the 1950s and '60s. In this powerful conversation, we talk about our shared Bronx roots, how neighborhood life shaped our creativity, and the true stories behind some of the most iconic hits in American music history.

We also discuss:

•
Dion’s early days with The Belmonts

•
Why the Bronx produced so much talent in music and film

•
How Dion overcame addiction and found faith

•
The real-life people behind his lyrics

•
How his music influenced A Bronx Tale

•
The importance of staying grounded, no matter how high you climb

This episode is filled with memories, insight, and deep appreciation for the music, culture, and values that shaped who we are.
