The Death Collector Joe Cortese | Chazz Palminteri Show | EP 220

🎙️ This week on The Chazz Palminteri Show, we’re joined by veteran actor Joe Cortese, whose career spans over four decades in film, television, and stage. From his early breakout in The Death Collector—a film that helped launch the careers of Joe Pesci and Frank Vincent—to his latest critically acclaimed role in Here's Yianni! Joe shares a lifetime of stories, lessons, and hard-won wisdom from inside the entertainment industry.

Joe opens up about his journey from Paterson, New Jersey, to working with legendary producer Dino De Laurentiis, navigating Hollywood’s ups and downs, and nearly walking away from acting altogether. We talk about how he stayed the course, the importance of resilience, and his deep passion for the craft that continues to drive him.

We also dive into his new film Here's Yianni! , which explores dementia through a powerful character who believes he’s a late-night talk show host. With a cast that includes Kevin Pollak, Rosanna Arquette, and Eric Roberts, the film is already making waves at film festivals nationwide.
