Carville’s Shock Prediction on Trump’s Grim Future

James Carville returns to the Daily Beast Podcast with a blunt prediction about Donald Trump’s future, arguing that the president could ultimately quit rather than face the political collapse he believes is coming after the midterms. Carville explains why he thinks Trump’s power is already beginning to evaporate, what a Trump resignation and pardon from JD Vance could look like, and which alleged financial scandals could come under scrutiny if Democrats retake Congress. He also weighs the risks of another election-disruption campaign, the Democrats’ internal battle over the party’s future, why he believes South Carolina voters could play a decisive role in choosing the next Democratic nominee, and what he makes of Mitch McConnell’s prolonged absence from the Senate
