Tessa Hadley Reads John McGahern

Tessa Hadley joins Deborah Treisman to read “Gold Watch (newyorker.com/magazine/1980/03/17/gold-watch),” by John McGahern, which was published in The New Yorker in 1980. Hadley has published thirteen books of fiction, including the story collections “Bad Dreams (amazon.com/Dreams-Other-Stories-Tessa-Hadley/d…)” and “After the Funeral (amazon.com/After-Funeral-Other-Stories-Hadley/…),” and the novella “The Party (amazon.com/party-Tessa-Hadley/dp/1529949319).” She won a Windham-Campbell Prize for fiction in 2016.
