Introducing The Covert Collective: Surveillance Capitalism Defense and Personal Privacy Tradecraft

OPSEC Podcast: Nobody is coming to save you. Your privacy and your security are your responsibility. It's not a scare tactic, it's a starting point. If you already feel it, you're in the right place. I am Alan Pace, host of the OPSEC podcast, and welcome to the Covert Collective. For years, real operational security trade craft lived inside of intelligence communities and military circles, locked away. The people who needed it the most. This community exists to change that. We take that tradecraft and we put it in your hands. In plain language, steps anyone can take. No jargon, no fear-mongering, no theory that sits in a notebook and never gets used. And let's be clear about what we're up against. Surveillance capitalism is an industry built on collecting, scoring, and selling the details of all of our lives. And it is very good at that job. Digital privacy tradecraft is how you push back without unplugging from the world. Here's what makes this different. We do not measure success by how much you read. We measure it by the changes you make. You write your own fret model, you audit your digital exposure and shrink it. You secure your devices and your communications. You build compartmentalized identities that you can maintain for life. Standard membership is now open. You get the community and the discussions, the points and the levels that unlock coursework as you take part, and the core curriculum, OPSEC Fundamentals, Tier 1 Foundations, and Tier 2 Countermeasures. You also get the OPSEC Toolkit and the External Resources Library, as well as step-by-step audits and checklists that you can download. Premium membership opens in the fall of 2027, and that adds Tier 3 Advanced Tradecraft, the Advanced Technical Guides, the Operational Field Guides, as well as monthly webinars with live QA, including guest speakers. This works because of how we operate. We protect each other's privacy, we bring everything back to action instead of theory or doom. We help the Person one step behind us because everyone here started at the same place. And we do the work. Because capability comes from action, never from collecting bookmarks. You do not need a technical background to be here. You need the decision to take your privacy seriously. So here's the ground truth. You are not paranoid for wanting control over your own data and digital life. You are early, and the people who get serious now. Are the ones who will not be scrambling later when it matters. Welcome to the Covert Collective. Get in, do the work, and help the person next to you do the same. Your privacy and your security is your responsibility. Now let's get to work.
