This blocker returns to a previous theme, and I'll just set the scene. I am going home to visit my parents and I did not want to get them sick with anything. So I'm like, I'm going to get a flu shot because I know the flu is pretty, it's supposed to be pretty like widespread this year. So I'm like, it's entirely likely if I go through an airport or something like that, I would get this thing and I would infect my parents who are obviously even much older than I am and I'm already old.

So I make the appointment or I have to go there. It's at 430 to it's just like a it's like a pharmacy in the back of a grocery store. Right. It's just this, you know, it's whatever. They've got one back there. That's the only thing. All the drugstores in this area have closed through consolidation and whatever else.

Yeah. Go to the supermarket. I walk into the supermarket to get my flu shot at like, you know, 428, let's say. And it's 430 is the appointment. And I walk in and out of the corner of my eye, I see the Pokemon machine. Okay. Oh, this is very exciting. Okay. This is an opportunity to check to see like, I'm like, this could be my chance to trash it up.

Right? Yep. Right. I go over there. I push the thing. I look. Everything sold out. So I'm like, all right. So I go to the back of the store. I talked to the pharmacist. I'm like, I'm here for my flu shot. They're like, okay, just go wait over there. I go to this other area. And, you know, I just kind of stand around.

And then this lady comes out of the thing and she's like, Casey. I'm like, yeah, that's me. And they're like, all right, come on in. She's like, what's your birthday or whatever. They're like, you're here for the flu shot. I'm like, yeah. She's like, okay, great. She literally does. I've never seen it like this before.

I've had flu shots before. She just goes like this on my arm. She just goes like, boom. And there's like, all right, you're all set. I've never seen anything like it. I'm like, I'm like, lady, if you gave these shots normally, they could inoculate this entire town in like an afternoon. It was, it was amazing.

I was like, wow. Okay. It was amazing. So I'm like, me about pressure. I'm like, that's amazing. So I'm like, I'm like, thank you very much. And I leave and I'm walking out of the store and I'm like, crap, it's only like, I'm like, look at my watch, I'm like, it's 4.30. I'm like, what if the Pokemon has reset?

Because Trash told me there's like time. What if the time is 4.30? I could do this. So I intentionally do like a walk that takes me back by the Pokemon machine, like a creeper, like I'm doing Crash creeps. See, it's natural. I push the thing, all sold out, unfortunately. It's like everything says sold out.

But I look closer and there is one thing that was not sold out. It's like at the very top, right? Just the one worst one, unfortunately, of course. Right. It's the cheapest. It's like $5. There's all these ones that are like 50 bucks. So I'm like, yep, I'm getting it anyway. And I'm going to open this and see what the heck is in it.

Because I don't know anything about Pokemon. The last two cards are the good ones. The last three. Oh, is this one where you're guaranteed to get an Uncommon or something? Well, you'll get like holographs, but then you'll get like even better ones, potentially. Okay, okay. Okay. I do want to first and close to the cam.

I will show them the show them the play how you hold it. Do it. Oh, okay. Okay. So don't look. Teach me. Open the pack. Just open the pack. Okay. Well, hold on a second. I do want to read you something first because I don't know if all of you know this because it says right here on the back of the box that twinkling city lights and a starry sky become obscured in darkness as mega dark cry.

Dark. X. Yeah. With an EX on the end, Trash? What is that about? Expansion? What does that mean? It's just like a stronger version of a Pokemon or something. Okay. Arrives with history and malice. They ran out of evolving terms, Casey. They ran out of evolving terms, and they didn't want to make new Pokemon, so they made EX versions of them, which are just the bonus more rare versions of themselves.

Isn't there also like V or something? There's some other one as well? VMAX? I don't know. V and VMAX. They just added new modifiers to the Pokemon to get new cards. They gave up. Now, Trash, tell me what I'm supposed to do. I just wanted to set that scene as some kind of darkness coming over the starry sky and whatever a dark cry is.

Face down, open it up. Just face down so you have like 10 cards. Just like that. Yes. All right, hold on. Get into position, Kaze. And put it in the front. What? Okay. It's going to be your energy. Oh, wait, wait. You take out this one. This is going to be like a barcode card. Uh-huh, you can't say this one.

He's already confused. All right, hold on. Hold on. I will actually try to open this. I don't actually know how to open a Pokemon pack. Is there a terrible place on it? Open one with you. Hold on. Oh yeah, Trash is going to get out of here. Oh, there we go. Rip a pack, Trash. Rip a pack. Trash, but do you have an extra pack laying around?

Of course he does. He might have one or two. Are you kidding me? What a dumb question. He's so excited. I really am. Oh, God. Yeah, so how do you even open it? I'm opening up the same set as you. Hold on, hold on. Hold it up higher so you can see. I dropped it. But yours looked blue and Casey's looked gold.

So there's different art on the front. Okay. Okay. Okay. So you just opened the pack. So we have the exact same pack. How do you open the pack? What is the proper technique for opening the pack? I don't know. I just open up like a pop tart or something. All right. Like a Pop-Tart. Yeah, exactly. Thank you, Trash.

I love that. Matt does not know what Bark is, but knows Pop-Tarts right out the back of his hand. I also love, first thing that comes to his mind, how does he open this? Pop-Tart, boom. I thought Bag of Chips would be the natural one you'd want to. Okay, he's got it, Trash. So this is your barcode card, the one on top.

Okay. Just take that to the side. You don't need that. Okay. Top one's going to be an energy card. Put that in front. Okay, so I'm taking one card and putting it on the bottom. Yep. One card. Just hold it. Hold up to the camera. You should see an energy card. Okay. Alright, now just... So we do that so you don't see your first card, basically.

So now you just start... We're gonna go through... One... What did he get? These are like your common cards. It doesn't matter, Prime. It doesn't matter till the end. It's not really fun until like the very, very end. Okay. Yeah, these are all just regular cards. I think there's ten cards total. Honey, you gotta keep in pace with Casey.

I think Casey's only discarded two. Oh, we got the same card! I have the same card, bro! Wow! Next one. Keep going. We're getting close to the end. So the last three will be like the more uncommon things. I don't even know what we're getting here. I don't either. If I hit something, I'm going to go insane.

Okay. Now we're the last three. We're the last three. Okay, you ready? Keep going. I think you got something. What's that? Oh, that looks cool. Is that a full? I didn't get anything. So you go. What's your last card? Oh, trash, bro. What's your last card? So we both got like holograms, reverse holos.

That's what it is when it's like shiny here. Okay. So we didn't get any what we call full arts where it's a full background. So we didn't get any what we call hits. Bummer. But that was fun. Have to get another one. Well, that's what I'm saying. Like maybe the next pack. Maybe the next pack. I don't know how to get another one.

That was it. And after I bought this one, it was sold. I tried to buy more. I was like, let me just drag this up to 10. It's like, nope. There was one. Yeah, so people will leave that. People will usually leave the single pack and then buy the good stuff. Usually two or three things will drop, and they'll buy the other two and leave a single pack.

Unbelievable. Is that a sign of respect for everyone trash, or is there an algorithm there where it recharges faster? There's a strategy there. I don't actually know. It could be etiquette plus strategy. It's been a while since I've been in that scene. Yeah, I don't get a lot of etiquette vibes from the Pokemon card buying community.

Yeah, I mean... Some people are very, very nice. Some people are nice. Yeah. Trash, when you say you haven't been in a while, what are we talking about? Like a week? Two weeks? What is not a while? I stopped going to the vending machines because it just made me feel not good about myself. And also, like, it's so freaking hard.

Like, Jesus, I didn't understand this. Like, I have walked by those Pokemon machines so many times. I didn't realize that it was this absurd. I assumed that people who wanted stuff just went to those machines and bought it. Little did I know. I went to the grocery store down the street from me and there's a Pokemon machine there now.

And as I was checking out, I saw like this couple, like, get a really nice thing out of it. And I was going to check it afterwards. I was so mad. I was like watching. I was like, I was like at a self-checkout, like. it's like see i was so just walking to my car it's like anyways it's like that could have been me if i was just if i just went earlier like five minutes i could have got it what item what item could you have given up oh your self-checkout would have finished earlier that's the question yeah true you know true i don't know i don't even know what i was getting i think i was getting or something that's worth it though trash probably yeah yeah
