The World's Most Haunted Castle

Leap Castle has been called the most haunted castle in the world.

For more than five hundred years, the ancient Irish fortress has been surrounded by stories of murder, betrayal and unexplained encounters. From the bloody feud of the O'Carroll family and the infamous murder said to have taken place at its altar, to ghostly children, the mysterious Red Lady and the terrifying entity known only as the Elemental.

But how much of Leap Castle's dark reputation is rooted in history? And how much has grown from the stories told within its walls?

In this episode of The Tape Library, we explore the bloody history and terrifying hauntings of Leap Castle in County Offaly, Ireland.

The World's Most Haunted Castle: The True Story of Leap Castle.
