John David Walt reflects on Romans 10 and the danger of knowing Scripture well yet still missing Jesus. Using Israel’s rejection of the message as a warning, he encourages listeners to trade certainty, control, and pride for humility: “be small, live humbly, stay hungry.” He connects this to Jesus’ teaching about becoming like children and to the Beatitudes, framing true humility as embracing one’s limitations, releasing a false self, and remaining open to God’s presence and direction.

The episode then turns conversational as David Walt joins to discuss second chances, sincere love for others, and being ready to share faith in everyday life. Together they sing “There’s Something About That Name,” then close with a practical encouragement: take risks in love, look for opportunities to speak about God, and step into the day with faith.
