When Your Sin Reaches The Land and Sea | Khutbah by Sh. Ibrahim Hindy

A scholar of the Salaf spent time in prison, and he knew exactly why. Forty years earlier, he'd insulted someone with a single word, and he traced his own hardship straight back to that moment.

From a hadith describing a black spot that appears on the heart with every sin, to a hafidh who forgot the entire Qur'an except one verse, to the red and orange skies that covered Toronto this July, this khutbah moves through what actually happens when a person sins, and why the effects never simply stay in the past.

In this khutbah, Shaykh Ibrahim Hindy examines the consequences of sin: how it clouds the heart, how it steals knowledge, how it drains the sweetness from what's halal, and why istighfar is the only thing strong enough to undo it.
