NMIXX on Love, Conflict, Anderson .Paak, Past Life Hypnosis, and New EP ‘Heavy Serenade’

Eight months after their last visit, NMIXX are back on the couch and ready to dive even deeper into the ever-expanding world of Mixxtopia. The JYP Entertainment sextet — Lily, Haewon, Sullyoon, Bae, Jiwoo, and Kyujin — join us to unpack their EP ‘Heavy Serenade,’ explain how it fits into the group's mythology, and discuss why love is never static. Along the way, they break down the harmonies that have become a defining part of the NMIXX sound, the challenges and rewards of working with songwriters from around the world, and why music should always be open to interpretation.

We also get into the ever-evolving meaning of Mixxtopia itself, exploring themes of conflict, imperfection, and empowerment, before finding out how the members navigate disagreements within the group and balance their personal lives with life as global pop stars. Elsewhere, we discuss past-life regression, becoming the first K-pop group to perform at Carnival in Brazil, Sullyoon's pitch skills, what it was like collaborating with Anderson .Paak, and so much more.
