My name is DJ Wells, brought to you by Boost Mobile. You know the vibes, baby. $ 25 on Liberty Nationwide. Tap in with the family. Richard, back in the day, tell me you had a Boost Mobile, man.

Nah, I wasn't chirping nobody.

You wasn't chirping nobody?

I had a T-Mobile Flip. I had the Flip joint. Oh, you had a little paper. We had a razor. Yeah, a little paper.

Yes.

I'm sorry.

I come from money, too.

Respectfully. Y'all going to learn, man. Don't let all the other shit fool you. We can crack jokes. Oh, I'm the best. I've been known to be funny.

So let's go.

I didn't have that. I had a Razr. I had some other stuff. I wish I had Boost Mobile. Damn, man.

He said he had the Razr right there, boy. That's a wicked phone. I ain't never get a Razr. I had one. I had a gold one. I had a burner Razr phone.

Yeah.

I had a sidekick and an iPhone. That's all I ever had.

Yeah, you got to have the Apple. Then you had to have the two-way. I had the old school Motorola joint that didn't even have cellular. You remember the old Jay-Z videos?

Yeah. The two-way.

Yeah, I had a two-way. He had a two-way. Yeah, you got to have a two-way in New York City.

But you grew up in the early 90s.

Yeah. And when did you graduate high school?

98.

Damn. It's crazy I look younger than you, right? It's crazy. You seen him when you graduated high school?

Yeah.

Yeah.

Oh, yeah. I'm a Richard, man.

98, class 98. We had some players back then.

For sure. That McDonnell's All-American team was fire.

Yeah.

Classic, for sure, man. Shout out to our family at Boost Mobile, baby. Shout out, Boost. Yes, sir. Richard, need a deal. Let's get it.

Yes.

Shout out to Cal. Should we in the marketplace be here? Over or under LSU, baby? We still high?

Yeah, man.

I'm still believing Lane Kiffin is the greatest coach to ever walk this earth, so I'm standing on that.

Lane Kippen.

Richard, this is not for you. This is not your segment.

I didn't say a word.

Okay. You said you was looking at me. Yeah, I was surprised. We don't believe you. I was like, what? And what about Will Wade? He won the case.

He won the appeal.

He's on his way. His players is back. You know, we think they had a black face on there.

And now, you know what I mean? He got a Euro team and we back, baby.

I had never seen this guy go to court for his whole entire roster. Like maybe one or two players. He went to court to clear his whole squad.

I sure would, bro.

Yeah.

We got to ask Richard about that later.

Yeah, yeah. I'm here for whatever.

We're here now. Richard, obviously you know where you went to Arizona.

If you was in the portal and they had them conversations, boy, especially after your freshman year, you might have moved on?

I would imagine that Arizona's got enough money to keep me. I'm looking around like, y'all can afford me.

I'm a hometown kid. How much would you need to stay there?

Today? Yeah.

But Donald's all-American, too?

That's why, like, it's really one of the things. I'm not chasing portal money. I'm trying to get to the league.

Yeah, yeah.

And, right, some of these kids that are, like, one-year, two-year, don't go chase another extra half-million, million-dollar someplace else if you're supposed to be a lottery pick. So, like, you know. That's true. He don't understand that. But I'm saying, like, I'm saying, like, you want to kind of make sure that you're setting yourself up for the future. If you're chasing a bag, you're not getting better. You're not developing.

You don't have any, like, like, community with you. So I'm going to stay there. I'll probably leave earlier. That might be the only difference.

Be here. We'll wait. Hit your line in the portal. I'm going to play.

LSU, anything at LSU, I'm pulling up, bro.

Okay. Yeah, for sure, for sure.

You should have grew up in Baton Rouge.

We'll wait.

Oh, yeah.

If I grew up, I'd probably been a demon.

Oh, for sure. Would have been. Don't do that, Richie. Don't do that. Stop, dude. We're trying to stop.

We're trying to stop.

We're trying to stop. Well, we're here now. I was coming in like, hey, man, be careful, man, on Club 530.

Mainly you.

They was really saying you. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah.

I hate to hear that, man. Yeah, well, I hate to say.

It. I love it. I love it. I'm so excited to be here, man. Y'all, you know, I'll let y'all get y'all promos before I have to throw y'all some love.

Oh, for sure, man.

Shout out to Couch for being in the marketplace, baby. Use our promo code CLUB520. When you put 25 now, you get an extra 55 in the marketplace. And shopclub520. com to get your merch. We got a special guest in the building, as usual. Introducing last, excuse me, to my far left, we got my dog, Bishop B.

Here in out the pearlies. How you doing, Nasty? Cool and nasty. I'm ready to get this one going, man. I got a little small beef with Richard, man.

Oh, you're good.

Back in my early, early gambling days in the neighborhood, he fucked some shit up for me, but God respect my guy, man.

Good, good. Teach your ass a lesson. You know what I'm saying?

So you had to parlay at the crib?

Yeah.

Kind of, sort of, but we'll get to it. Respect, man. We got a long career.

That's a fact, man. Still somewhere right. My dog, young Nacho, young T, got you what?

Cooling, bro.

I'm ready to get to it. Come on, man.

We got another champ in the building, man. We got another champ.

In the building.

That's crazy. You're not, but respectfully. Who's not him? No, once a champion, always a champion.

Richard, he said, listen. Richard, he said he's always just the only champion. That's not true. Who else was the guest that was a champion?

Jason Tatum. He won a championship when he came. Yes, he was.

No, he wasn't.

Yes, he was. He was making fun of it.

I got an all-star. EJ Tucker? P.J. Tucker, he was on my team.

That don't count.

To be fair, I care.

I care. I care.

I care.

I care.

I'll tell you what it was. We both have, me, him, and Giannis had 50 in the final game.

Matt, for the majority of the time, you are the only one, man.

Giannis had 50. Me and P.J. was doing close. I was like, I.

Don't think P.J.

P.J.

Played 38 minutes in this one. This is not about B-Jone. This is about B-Jone. Because I can see him in the locker room.

I was crying.

The respect I have for you is because, again, I was like, oh, we was probably the same person in the locker room. I was like, we scored 50. You ain't done shit, B-Jone.

We did our thing. We did our thing. Come on, man. Another champion in the building.

He does everything in media, podcast, even the referee as well, man. We got the legend Richard Jefferson in the building.

Big dog. We appreciate you sliding on us, man.

Man, I'm so excited to be here, man. I've seen y'all. You guys have changed the game, what you guys have done, your space. You guys made us have to up our shit, right? And so we did, obviously being the first sports podcast and really setting the stage for you guys, and we decided to go different routes with our other, yeah, check it out. Uh, when you go different routes, cause focusing on our own individual careers. But then last year we was like, yo, we want to get back into the podcast game. Well, have we was doing zooms until like two years ago. And then it was like, yo, all right, well, we need a space. We got a space and went into my, went into my basement, did that. then we just got another space because like, we got to compete

against y'all for viewers and listeners. No, y'all don't be, y'all don't view this as like a, it's not a competition, but it is very much a, You know what I'm saying? Let's say ratings, right? If you're the number one rated show or you're the number one this or you're the number one movie in America, but in order to do that, you got to have this. I was excited to see your production. Y'all have done an outstanding job, and I'm telling you, we're keeping up or we're trying to catch up to y'all, right? Because what you guys have done is outstanding. It's ahead of the game. Your shoe licensing deal, come on, man. Is that still popping off?

Adidas, respect. It's been me some.

You know what I'm saying?

I've been through stripes.

Yeah. So, no, you guys are doing a really, really good job, man. It's been really impressive to watch.

Appreciate it. Thank you so much.

I always give kudos to Road Trip because y'all was early on is like expressing yourself and being yourselves.

Because you had a lot of people who was feeding into narratives.

And like, even though y'all played with a lot of different teammates, especially those who was like popping in the media. Y'all kept it real, and I always respect that, especially you. You was funny as fuck, bro. It took people to catch on to you. Once they tapped in, I was like, bro, he's really funny, but you keep it real.

You're a troll, bro.

Yeah, I'm a troll. I'm a troll, but you the same way. You troll more than me. No, you troll your teammates the way I troll my teammates.

Oh, for sure, for sure.

My teammates, I'll say whatever the fuck I want to you.

Yeah.

Right?

Like, other teams, I don't really... I try not to kill other players, especially people that I don't know. Yeah. But if I know you, oh, yeah, everything's fair game.

Even Gil's banter is probably the best.

Oh, he's a bad person, though. That's the only reason why.

Even Gil's banter is like.

Only K-Love, bro. Oh, K-Love.

Oh, yeah.

Could you imagine me and Gil in a locker room together for two years in college?

Nah.

Gil was one of those people, like, I like to mess around, and you probably... You guys... I like to mess around. Nobody like to mess around. He go too far. And so, like, that's where I just had to keep my distance. Like, Gil's right down. Gil's probably like 30 minutes from me. And I still can't go on a show.

You know, you might have a police raid.

You might have Paul Lance here.

You might have Ice. I don't know who is showing up in Gil's time. These are his own words. These are his own words.

It's all real possibilities.

It's all real possibilities. Even inside of HOA.

Right?

They broke inside the HOA. They was like, hey, excuse me. We're going to need to talk to everyone in the building.

That is crazy.

Yeah, so you just, you know, I feel fortunate to mess with my teammates, though.

I speak to your teammates, man. You had one from NAP. I feel like they don't get a lot of love, man. Jason Gardner, one of the coldest that don't get a lot of love, man.

Shout out to Jason.

That's kind of a legend for sure.

What was it like playing with so many talented players in Arizona like that, man?

First, it's hard to be a host. Did you have any, did you have any, like, tank training in this shit?

Yeah, I was a college dropout.

Okay, okay.

You had some.

You had some Kanye. You had some little, little, little bit of, but you're good at hosting. Let me just tell you. I appreciate that.

Now or then?

All around. Nah, I don't even remember your fucking question.

How was it like at Arizona when you got there?

Oh, JG. JG is, he showed up, he owns so many records at Arizona, but he was the, He was one of those guards that made everybody around him better. He was the ultimate point guard. I'm bummed that he didn't really get an opportunity. But he was 5'9. But he was a 5'9 demon out there on both ends of the floor. Big shots, all this stuff. Indiana legend.

Your guys, I didn't understand. Can you guys explain the 520 to me one more time? Because that's the area code of Tucson, Arizona. oh no shit yeah so every time it was like club 520 is it club 420 what.

I couldn't 420 it's crazy no I'm saying cause 520 I'm like that that would always connect me to Tucson whenever I hear that's the zip code so I just.

That was our that address was my crib that we shot at so I used to have a club in the basement when we first started the show it was like what we gonna call it it was a sign yeah and.

I just looked at it call it club 520 yeah we was at and I.

Was like shit alright then I had a party the next night For sure.

I'll let them tell it.

We don't want to talk about that. They ain't had a Halloween party since.

They ain't had a party since. We ain't had a Halloween party since. The anniversary is here. Shout out to the gang. Where did you choose Arizona though? I know you from there. You really on some real shit. You're not even from Arizona. You from Philly.

You from Philly because you just sit here and told this like bullshit ass story about how people get on you for about being Philly. Why do you claim Arizona you was born and you had a little stint in Philly?

Do you want to know? Yeah. Now I do. Okay. Okay. Now, okay. So the only reason why I claim Philly is like my mom moved us out of South Central LA when I was like seven. Moved to Arizona. My mom's from Philly. So when I'm like seven years old, we're going to Greyhound bus for three days, go from Phoenix back to Philly because she had to help out some family. So she goes to Philly and South Philly is the same town.

Nobody leaves. She runs into her old high school boyfriend that ends up being my stepdad for 35 years. And so when my mom, they meet when she's in Philly, they start rekindling their, their relationship. And she's like, Hey, I don't give a damn, but we not staying here. We got to go back.

Right.

So we got to go back. So they get married in Philly. We take a Greyhound bus back to Arizona. But my dad, my stepdad, he passed away in 2020. And. he taught me about football, he taught me about sports, he taught me about boxing, but it was all through the lens of a Philadelphia person, right? So it was Bernard Hopkins, Randall Cunningham, Keith Byers, Reggie White. So like I grew up sitting next to a Philly man right, talking about Philly sports. The one time him and my mom got into the biggest fight was because he wasn't going to church because the Philadelphia Eagles were playing on national television on that Sunday, right? And my mom was not having it. And so, for me, it's less about me claiming Philly. I don't... That's not it. It's more

paying respect to the man that came into our lives. My mom was raising three boys by herself from South Central. And she was like, hey... And he, you know, to take on. Another man's kids and to raise them as your own. I don't give, um, I I'm not, there's no claim to Philly, but Philly has a special place in my heart.

My parents got married there. And then, especially after his passing, it's just, It's just, for me, it just feels good to get my parents' recognition. And, you know, again, especially since, you know, he's no longer with us. So hopefully you feel like a piece of shit with that joke that you just made.

That's really the whole purpose.

I don't feel bad. I just wanted to hear it because I just wanted to see, like, why you claim.

It makes sense, though. It makes sense to me. And I've told the story. I told the story about my parents meeting Kobe, where we played Kobe. I was in Jersey and we played Kobe. My parents were visiting Kobe. And my parents come up to me and like, we just beat them. And my parents were like, Hey, can we meet Kobe? And I'm like, shit. So I go and ask, it was like Kareem rush. I'm like, Hey man, like, yeah, yeah.

I was like, I was like, Hey, like Devin George, I'm asking all of them to go. Hey man, can you introduce my parents to Kobe? Like, I don't know the dude I'm like in my second year. So I'm like, can you introduce him to Kobe? My parents are, you know, from Philly. Can you, can you, And they was all scared to go do it. That's their own teammate. So finally I had to go over there with my head down like this. Hey, Kobe, man, my parents are from Philly.

They'd really like to meet you. And then he walks over there and just puts on a 10 minute show talking to my parents. That's where I say like the Philly connection for me is I am not associated with Philadelphia, but I do have family and I do have people that have meant a lot from me. And I say it, I've said it a hundred times. I do one brawn game in Philly and now everybody, oh, now he claiming Philly.

Now he claiming Philly. I'm like, I actually got on Twitter. I don't even mess with Twitter. I got on Twitter. I was like, man, you idiots. I've been telling y'all this. I've said all of these stories a million times.

You didn't claim it was when Ben Simmons was here.

Yeah, I did. You got any other dumbass questions?

Don't you worry.

That's the last one. That's the last one.

All right, you know what it is, man.

Club 520, and we tapped in with Kalshi. Being here, NBA season is back, man. We in the marketplace with it. How you feeling about your.

Timberwolves, fella?

Feeling good, man.

All my team is really, man, ready to lock it out. These combos all season, baby. So let's get to it.

Come on, Teague. I know you got six teams, man. More chance to join the marketplace. How you feeling, bro? I'm excited about this season.

Yeah. Teams are up always.

And the best part about the marketplace, man, there is no house that sets the odds. It's just you going against other people who feel differently to you. So use that promo code CLUB520. And when you put $ 25 down, you get an extra $ 55 to join the marketplace. You can trade on anything. We can even go to the coaches getting fired because of Gatorade. They drinking all the above, man. Yeah, they got politics on here, pop culture, everything, bro.

Come on, man.

Marketplace for everything. Shout out to Couchy. And use that promo code CLUB520. When you put $ 25 down, you get an extra $ 55 to join the marketplace, man.

Use that promo code CLUB520. Couchy.

We talk about this. Obviously, you're getting drafted to the Nets. You came into a team that was... Really, really good contending. We talk about the rookies in this draft class. They come in and get the shoot whenever they want to. That's the situation you feel like you would have rather been in?

I thought I was. We were picked to finish, I think it was second or third last in the conference. They won 24 games a year before. And then, again, the Jason Kidd effect. And a lot of guys were healthy. We go from never having... The Nets had never won a playoff series before. ever in their history from being in the NBA. Like they want shit in the ABA, but never won anything in the NBA. They'd only been to the playoffs like three times. So for us to go to the finals, my first year, and I give a lot of credit to remember when Malcolm Brogdon won rookie of the year. Yeah. And even, um, what's his name? Um, God, the kid in MC dub. No, no, no, no. I'm sorry. Okay. Okay.

I give a lot of credit to rookies that have to go. That 10, 15, 16 points for a contending team, for a team that's battling every day in the postseason. That's not like up by 20, down by 20. We just going to play a young player and like he's going to average 20. I think there's more weight in a kid that averages 15, 16 points for a team that has to win every single night in order to do.

I think that that has a little bit more juice than a rookie that averages 20. two points a game, and they team won 20 games.

We get killed for that because we said that last year about Conn coming up with Cooper. We were just like, it's a little bit closer in that rookie year than people think because Conn was on a, you know what I'm saying, for the playoff team. And obviously the Mavericks was playing for the lottery again. But this year, we ain't seen Conn yet, but we are wrong. Yeah, I mean, Cooper's flag is hanging.

No, he's a problem. It's not about future projections. We had the best rookie season.

So you would have said Melo should have won rookie of the year over Brown.

I was a firm believer in that. Only because of this. They both averaged 20 points a game. Melo then, his team, he's a rookie, and he leads a veteran-laden team to the postseason. Now, he had a better team, but you know how hard it is to lead a team in scoring and take them to the postseason.

As a rookie?

As a rookie?

They won 17 games before that, too.

Yeah, so that's where I just look at it.

So you're trying to say you should have won rookie of the year? What did I do with you?

With all that... Okay. But I was.

9.5? Yeah, yeah, yeah.

So I was second in Rookie of the Year voting. And I lost to Pau Gasol, who should have won it.

Yeah. 100%.

Pau Gasol... You weren't even born then.

Yes, I was.

Actually, the following year, that's what I was going to get on your ass about. But we're celebrating you and your rookie season. We all played Tim Duncan that following year. Tim Duncan went crazy. He had his best finals ever. But I'm like, if Richard would have guarded Ginobili a little better. Jason Kidd probably would have had a chance to win an NBA championship.

I was a little pissed.

Yeah, because really, New Jersey traded Keith Van Horn. I remember this. They traded Keith Van Horn.

For who?

Because they believed in Richard.

Oh, word. Think about that, bro. I'm coming off the bench, bro. We're coming off the bench. I go to the finals. Yeah, like, you know. You should start. Keep it work. Keep it work. Nice.

So nice for you. This is what I'm saying.

They were like, we can trade.

We can get off that money.

So now, anything less but the finals with me starting is a failure.

I go into that season like, Damn.

It was a little pressure.

It was a little pressure. The one thing that helped is I got a bunch of starts because that's when Kenan was beating the shit out of people. Basically what they saw, they're like, every time Kenan beats the shit out of somebody. So he's, I got to start like 10 games. I averaged like 15. So they're like, Okay, he can start. He can do it. But doing it over 82 and a playoff run is different as a rookie.

And we were runners. We were rookie. I'm out in New York all night. No one knows me. No social media. I could drink all night, party all night, and then show up and just run and dunk. You can't do that when you're starting, playing against starting small forward. Those days is gone. So I was like, well, that's the end of my nightlife.

And Byron Scott was our coach. How hard was that, though? Man.

You know what? The first year. OK, so I got there the year after Byron got there. So Byron's second year. He broke everybody down in the in the in the preseason the year before. So they kind of came to him was like, hey, Byron, man, you got to chill out. Then Jay Kidd was coming from the Olympics. So he was like just getting into training camp as a training camp was started. So our training camp was a lot easier back then. But yeah, no, no, no trick. This was back in the day when you would show up to camp 10, 12 pounds heavy and then wear some sweatpants and then you would drop all that weight. So, yeah, Byron, he'd put you through it.

Yeah, if he peed something, he was trying to cancel it.

It's crazy.

Yeah, he'd put you through it.

That's why, did you ever think that he would have a podcast? I just didn't think he would be on a podcast. They be talking shit.

They talk shit. Well, the old heads talk the most shit. You see them, Hardaway and Lindsey Hunter.

They the boys. I love that show. He ain't been holding palm leaves. I don't know who pissed him off, but he was worse. You know, all these reasons for going at all these people, Richard.

This shit is, apparently this sweatshirt.

You should have used a straw, bro. Your mouth ain't big enough. Whoa, that's crazy.

What do you got going?

A straw is a handle. That's all a straw is supposed to be. Could you imagine me?

I didn't expect you to grab with your stomach like that. Well, if it's filled up to the top, Richard, you sip it down. Yeah, you know, that's the difference. In Arizona, you just let it go.

It cools you off, too. It's fine.

Well, we had a conversation last pod. I don't see how you feel about this. Do you use umbrellas? Are you pro-umbrellas?

He's wrong. That virus got closer to him.

See?

Can I get another one? Can I get another one? This must be your best drink ever. Listen, I didn't know. I did not know that y'all drink like little kid drinks. See, we do big drinks on road tripping. We're spitting. We're spitting.

Yeah.

I got water. Shout out. Y'all talking about a whole pile of need for some. Wait, wait, hold on. Did we, did she bring me another drink? But how do you feel about other players having a podcast? Yeah, I think it's a bad idea. Honestly, I think everyone should stop podcasting. I think, here I go.

I mean, I'm talking about life.

Use a straw. See, Richard, you, you don't got to loop your tongue around in a circle and pull it in. You just. So he's teaching me how to use a straw.

That's how he teaches me how to use a straw.

That's their podcast.

Talk about.

I think I like the old heads podcast, though. When you get that old, like, old and polished, are you going to be like, all right.

I've never been a hater. That's not true.

No, I don't hate on nobody.

No, no, no.

Richard, what do you mean? Please tell us. I've never hated on nobody. I'll say I don't think somebody is good.

I agree.

I guess Richard feels different.

No, I was agreeing with him.

They like literally be like, he not good.

I mean, he good.

He's good.

He not trash. I think people should have pockets. I think because the thing about podcasts is that everyone gets to tell their version of the story.

Right.

So Channing and I and Allie Clifton, we started, but we were telling the calf stories, but then we would get on and have all of our teammates come on, tell their story. And that was the whole idea behind it because media is different today. But ESPN, NBC, Amazon, there's a, There's a corporate level to that. Here, you get to say what you want. You get to talk about what you want. You get to go as deep into topics. You get to sit here and say, tell me your story. You don't get that anywhere else except for podcasts. So if you get Byron Scott and the old heads, they get, like, trust me, some of the stories.

So I had Eddie Jordan on my team. Eddie Jordan. Byron Scott. So them telling me Lakers stories? Yeah. I got stories I could tell y'all that these two would tell me, and these are the type of stories I can't say it on air. But to have, like, guys from the 80s, from the Showtime Lakers telling stories and reminiscing, that's what basketball fans want. That's what sports fans want.

So keep podcasting.

I love that.

Yeah.

Yeah, OG on here. Marcus. Marcus.

Tell us about Will Chamberlain. Raven. You got Raven?

Yeah.

That's my car.

Get out.

Get out.

He told that Will Chamberlain story, man. The waterbeds.

Come on, man.

Crazy, bro.

No, there's some stories. I try to keep the resharing of stories, but I'll tell y'all off camera. Yeah, yeah, yeah.

Respect.

I believe.

Now, you're on a couple of teams. I want to talk about this personally.

You were part of one of my favorite basketball games of all time, that Christmas Day game. Cavs-Warriors, I feel like, is one of those games where you're like, I remember where I was when I watched that game. Haiti had just got their rematch game. What was that like being in that type of moment, especially with both those teams being super good?

Well, obviously, it was coming off that year. We knew if they figured it out, even for us, we loaded up.

People forget.

We had a Darren Williams, Andrew Bogut. I didn't forget. That's true. We'll talk about that later. You added that. We had to add more. We won, and truth be told, nothing but respect for the Golden State boys and KD and what they did. But ultimately, you knew if they figured it out, there wasn't going to be any chance.

So for us to get them on Christmas Day, it was like, all right, this is our chance to even prove it to ourselves, right, all the different things. Because they basically took Harrison Barnes off, with all due respect to HB, and added one of the 10 greatest players of all time. In his prime. Yes. looking at this as like, all right, so we battle them toe to toe.

You know, we had some dunks. It was just, it was probably the best regular season game that I could ever remember. And like where it was like, it felt like it mattered on Christmas. And that was the first time we had seen them since it. So everybody was watching to see what it was going to be. But ultimately there was, There was nothing you could do. The only thing that could stop them was injuries. And that was the only thing that did stop them. Shout out Toronto. Congratulations.

Shout out to Guam, baby.

Clay doesn't hurt himself. If one of them bad boys stays, they're probably going to go on and win because they were that good. So that Christmas Day game was still special. I get to show my kids highlights. They get to watch that. I only had two highlights in it.

You had a hell of a highlight in that game.

You know, I had two. I got KD with the left and Klay with the right. You know what I'm saying? So, you know, not bad for a 37-year-old.

Yeah, man. My old Kyrie walking him down, you know what I'm saying?

Again.

Again? Talk about it.

Yeah, no. That was a good little game.

What?

You remember that? Yeah, I wasn't drunk that day. That was Christmas. I was pretty sober that day.

You were sober on Christmas. What day do you get drunk? Well, I didn't cut back a lot. I had to cut water, but I've been relaxing.

You're relaxing?

He's drinking responsibly now. I usually drink like five days a week.

Oh, that's not bad. That's like going to Arizona. Yeah. That's like going to Arizona. Yeah. But the kids don't drink the same way. Yeah.

Can you leave this lead out there?

Thank you. You're amazing. I just wanted to get you on camera again. Oh, you don't got to worry about it. It works.

We see y'all took a trip to Summer Mountain. Obviously, that 2016 team is still locked in, man. It wasn't like to have a championship squad. Y'all still locked in 10 years later.

Are y'all going to do a 10-year reunion?

I probably won't be welcome.

You probably won't be welcome?

I probably won't get that text from y'all. He doesn't have enough stories.

What?

They don't like the stories I tell about the team. The celebration. Y'all is a little bit different.

Yeah, yourself. Man, I felt like that was sad.

It was sad.

It was sad. That was one of the clips of like, we won and we was like, the hell is going on around here? But we was... I got a funny story to tell you. Yeah, it was lit. But we were partying the whole time, right? No, no. Hear me out. This is what happened, right? So first round, you play Indiana. Or not Indiana. We played Detroit. We sweep them. Other series are going long, so we got like six days.

So this was our first time in the playoffs, so we was like, all right, let's go to dinner. Let's go do something. So we meet up. We go to dinner. And then Bron, who stays in Akron, we're in Cleveland, he's like, It's like, hey, should we go out? Should we watch the game?

Should we go out?

He's like, yeah. So we end up going out, having a good time, partying until two in the morning, just more of like team building camaraderie, right? So then we just, then we, the next series, we played, I think Atlanta. I don't remember. But either way, it was a four game suite, right? And so, but no, let me tell you, I got in trouble in Atlanta.

Let me tell you, I got in trouble.

I wish all y'all would have gotten in trouble. So, In Atlanta. So we go up 3-0. We win. It's a three up. It's a long story. But we go up 3-0. And so we was going out after every win. So we go up 3-0. Because I'm thinking like at this point in time, I'm like series over. We're chilling. I completely missed the film session. We were, we was out till two in the morning, having a good time coming back. And like, I woke up, ate breakfast. I don't know why I thought we had the day off just because we had won like seven in a row.

So I was just like, I was like, I'm just going to go see. I wake up nine different missed calls from everybody. And this is why I fuck with T.

Lou.

Like Griff was like, he was our GM at the time. He's like, what are you going to do about Rich? But he missed the film set and I don't ever miss anything.

Right.

And he was like, What do you mean I'm going to miss? I'm going to find them and give a shit. We go on to game four. And so, like, that was one of those things, like, I don't know what happened. I might have still been drunk from the night before. But I, like, woke up, ate some breakfast, went back to sleep. But, yeah, Atlanta, playing Atlanta was a good time.

Damn.

Yeah, so we just always had a good time.

I was on that team, man.

You look it up, Mike, I was on the team. We just had a good time together. That was our whole thing, even, like, all the way through. And then we did it again the next year because we just kept sweeping everybody. Yeah. When we got tied to 2-2 with Toronto, the partying kept happening earlier and earlier in the series because we swept the two. We were up 2-0 in Toronto. So we went to Toronto like, oh, this is about to be a sweep. We about to cook these boys. People are flying in. They're friends. We're going to rage in Toronto. And then we took two Ls up there. So we came back, got the run done, and then T. Lou was like, listen, boys. this is a business trip. Like, let's go finish this out. Everybody

stay in. But it was like, we, so like for us to get together, Toronto is amazing for us to get together and relive that kind of like 10 year joint. It just felt like we was on a road trip, right? Where it's like, you're eating together, you're having dinners together, you're doing activities together. You're just together the whole time.

That was, I can't believe that more teams didn't do it, but you know, we're trendsetters.

I feel like all the teams did probably part of it. It's just he had such a horrible experience in Milwaukee.

Why are you speaking for him?

It wasn't that bad. We just didn't celebrate the win.

What the fuck are you talking about, Richard?

He talked about it. I like the way you.

Say my name. I'm going to be really honest. I don't like the way you say my name. Richard?

What do you call you, Richie? Richie's crazy. RJ, how do you like that?

I use the straw. These dudes are crazy. What the fuck?

Does this count as a shit by five?

Don't worry about it. Don't worry about it. That's right.

That's the first thing on this couch.

Well, well. With that being said, we do want to tour the world.

I'm sorry. Careful what you said.

Nah, bro, you probably got the words. With all that Pac-13, when y'all swept us, Was that the year I was on there with Bronwyn? Y'all walked us down when he was up 30?

Yes. Okay.

I had a great view of that one. Some of them I was in. Some of them I was watching.

I was pissed that day. That was the first time I was ever going to win a game against the Cavs.

In the playoffs. Oh, yeah. Damn.

He was up 30.

I kind of want to.

Oh, I remember talking about that. Can I tell you... Have we ever truly met or like.

No.

Never. This is my first... We were in the league for like seven years.

Yes.

Like I wanted to shave it for the show, but I'm going to share it with you guys. Okay. So I'm on the bench. It's the start of maybe the Atlanta series. Maybe it was Atlanta or Indiana. One of the ones. I don't know. They go... And again, I had been in the Western Conference for a few years. So, like, again.

Oh, I know what you're about to say.

What?

What?

When I said, don't go under?

Yeah, no, no, no, no, no, no. That wasn't what you said. This motherfucker, they go under, and he hits the three, and he looks over at our bench. Yeah, this ain't last year, motherfuckers. Yeah, better not go over.

He said it.

I don't know, Jeff. I don't know anything. I'm looking, I'm like, what's that about? They're like, I don't know. He was just going, we was just going under. And then... And I was like, damn, he really look at us like that? He was like, okay.

Look at this guy. Nah, Larry Drew was our old coach.

Yes, yes.

So L.D.

Before the game, he's like, you know we going to that motherfucking pick and roll.

He was like, yeah, you ain't going to make no threes tonight.

Me and L.D. was like this.

L.D.

's my homie.

Yeah, so in the game, I was like, yeah, motherfucker, you better not go under that screen.

He looked at our bench.

Yeah.

That was the thing. In our bench, we was a bunch of... Reckless idiots. You got Shump, me, Chet. Like, we just wait. We just over there waiting to talk some shit. And then hide behind Bron and Kyrie. Like, yeah, yeah, yeah. Talk that shit. Yeah, uh-huh. Don't hit him, big fella.

I was talking to him. No, he was talking to.

The bit to the point where I had to look over. It was like, who he talking to? What? What? I got no good minutes. I can defend damn near anybody.

You know what I'm saying?

But that was my first, like, that was my first introduction. That's hilarious. Man, we got sweat. That shit crazy, bro. Bro.

It is.

I didn't know your record was so bad against Bron, man.

Yeah, the regular season, we beat your ass.

Yeah. Yeah, but we didn't really care. I'm telling you. No, no, no. I don't want to tell everybody, like, all of our business. Our team was dysfunctional and reckless. Like, we was, like, I tell a story about how we played a Philly game. at 12 o'clock, like on a Sunday. We didn't leave because whatever, we were going to Milwaukee. We didn't leave till like maybe 11 o'clock was the bus the next day, right, to go. So somebody had a bright idea. Why don't we just go down to New York and party? So we leave the Philly game, we get buses, we go and get on the train, take a train to New York, like everybody, Kyrie, Kevin, Bron, everybody. We get on the train, we go to New York, we just party for five,

six hours, go to dinner, go out. Then we all drive back to Philly to get on a bus to go get blown out by Milwaukee the next day. But the whole crew was always together and always kicking it, but... Yeah, regular season, we didn't take very seriously.

Nah, because Brian, in the All-Star game, Brian walked up to me. He was like, man, y'all, y'all ball movement, y'all good as fuck. I can't figure y'all out. And then right before the series started, he walked up to me and said, I figured y'all out.

Yeah, that's it for you.

Yeah, I was like, that's a long way to figure it out, though.

And in my head, I'm like, fuck he figure out. Like, we about to run around these dudes. And he called me up in a ball screen every time.

Come on.

I was like, oh, I got to switch.

I'll let your game over. Yeah.

He figured it out.

And that was the secret to the series was that. So there were series where like Shump or myself would play a lot if teams were going small. But they all ran a double big lineup. And we got Kevin and we got Channing Frye. That's all they're going to do is shoot threes. so if y'all gonna play both bigs that's what he's like we gonna get you in a pick and roll one of them bigs gonna.

Have to help and it's a wrap and it's a wrap J.R. Smith shout out J.R. we was like this is what we gonna do we just gonna lead K. Love K-Love ain't going to hit five threes. And we started doubling off K-Love.

Swat! Swat! I was like, leave Shum. Shum was just cutting to the hand.

I'm like, damn.

I've never seen... We broke the NBA record for most threes made in a series. in a series in four games.

I swear.

That's crazy. Think about that. Most threes, this is Golden State era. Everybody. Most threes made in a series in a four-game series. It was crazy. I felt bad for y'all after a while.

One time, JR got so hot, right?

I got him, man.

Fuck that shit. I got him.

I started chasing him. He hit the next two threes.

I don't got him.

He was like, you talking all.

This fucking shit. Shut up, y'all.

I can't guard no fucking body.

I got him.

He came out. And you going to talk all this shit.

It was too hard, man. You didn't meet shooters.

Hell of a team, man.

Hell of a team, for sure. We was solid.

You know what it is, man?

Club 520 brought to you by one of my favorite companies, my favorite beverage, man, Cutwater. Listen, everybody always talk about me pulling over the cut dog, but now everybody joined the wave, man. Every time I'm at an event or a concert, be here. You know I got to have that cut dog on me, baby.

Sure, man. Today we tried the espresso martini, man. It was fire for sure.

Yeah, man.

The best thing about a tea, they good to go, man. Perfectly mixed cocktails. All you got to do is make sure they cold and they good money, man. You tapped in now.

You a believer, bro?

Yeah, man.

I mean, this is the, what, the most salt after cam? Beverage we got out here, you know what I mean?

Come on, man. The Espresso Martini, man.

I be seeing y'all, y'all Instagram stories, man. Night Out with your little clicking of glasses. You got one right here in the can, man. And if you don't like that, that's cool. That got hella flavors to tap into, man. Cut Water gives you the confidence to elevate any occasion, man. Making one moment you are proud to host. Tap in with Cut Water, Club 520. But that was just crazy that you had to go against that Gold State team.

Like you said, shout out to HB, a champion for sure. But to get KD, that's all right, man. What more do y'all need? And you saw that Warriors team early on because you was on the squad, you know what I'm saying, when they started first emerging.

You're a really good host.

I appreciate it. Honestly, I had low expectations for this. I figured there would be, like, a prompter or, like, somebody. You do a lot of this off the dome, man. Congratulations, man. That's really good.

We can't afford it yet.

Nah.

Yeah, we still working. I know you ain't doing shit. We still working. Nah, that Golden State team, man, and again, the hardest part for me was I played with so many of those dudes and I saw them build up. I saw Steph, you know, coming through the ankle injuries and having to sign that first deal. Hey, HB is a rookie. Clay is a rookie. Draymond as a rookie.

So like, I'm now playing against these dudes in the finals and there's like a hatred, but I don't really hate them. And even the coach, Steve Kerr, like he Arizona guy, Luke Walton was an Arizona guy. So they were like, I had a camp with them. So it was like, I'm sitting here like, I'm trying to hate these people, but you're happy for their success. And I'm going to be really honest. If I was, what's his name?

Let's say if I was Barbosa, I'd have been trying to sign KD too. I would have mowed my feet. Five Hall of Famers on my team. I'm going to win all the championships and be happy. Now, if I'm going against you, I'm like, yeah, that's some bullshit.

Yeah, that's weak.

Yeah, I'm like, that's weak. It wasn't weak. They made a choice. But the one choice I would say is they had to. If they would have tried to show up, because KD was like, we was up 3-1 versus Golden State, and we weren't able to finish the job. Golden State, they battled back, but they recognized and they got a reload.

And if either one of them would have showed up with their teams, OKC would have tried to show up with a double big. against us, just like Atlanta did. Now they got, they had way more talent than you guys did. But if you try to show up with a double big, damn, somebody chirping over there. But I'm just saying there were just advantages, but there was, if they would have showed up, we would have won another championship.

Y'all think y'all would have beat that? I don't know if y'all would have beat that.

That's what a lot of people say, that the other team would have gave y'all a run. I don't see it, even though they were super good.

They were very, very good, but they had two non-shooters. I would say Russ can hit a shot, and he can hit a big shot, but percentages. And then they had Roberson. So if you have that and we're able to key a little bit more.

No disrespect to Roberson. Go under.

That's my guy. Yeah. But now, again, the double big. If you try to play Adams and Serge Ibaka with Kevin and Channing out there, there would have been enough of a stretch where you would have had to chase those. Now, don't get me wrong, they've got problems on the other side, but we might have been rooting for OKC to win over Golden State and those boys. Good ball for short.

Man, don't lie. KD and Jose was rolling at that.

I thought they was going to win. They was so good, bro. I don't know how they small business.

If they don't stay team, I never thought anybody was going to beat them. Like, even when y'all made it to the finals, I'm like, hey, they don't got a chance.

I appreciate your belief.

No, I mean, even though, shout out to my boy G Hill. I was like, man, I hope you get the chip.

Yeah.

It's over with, bro.

Oh, the net. Yeah, yeah. That team, Bron.

Yeah, it's over.

They were that good. Kevin Durant is that good. Steph is that good. Clay is that special. Draymond was bringing it. And then they actually had a bench. So you got five Hall of Famers in your starting lineup and a bench?

Yeah.

Yeah, there's not much you can do.

They was probably the best team. I'm going to say the best team ever. I know everybody said the 96 Bulls.

And all that.

They had too many people, bro. It was one point when Klay had that 70. What did he have, 60-something on us?

60 points in dribble.

Bro, what was that? That was on you? Yeah.

It wasn't on me.

Everybody got some of it.

No, no, no.

I didn't get scored. We'll make this tape.

You didn't try to be like, I got him.

I had Steph Curry. And you know there's no help with Steph.

No. If Steph goes to the bench, you go with him. Yeah, I'll fake go after the whole game.

It's probably the best team I ever did. I'm the 0-1 Lakers.

0-1 Lakers were.

96 Bulls.

0-1 Lakers probably would have beat them. I lost to the 0-2 Lakers.

You did. You lost.

You did. They were a problem, too. They swept us.

You think they was better than Golden State?

Yeah.

Because that's the thing where I think the Shaq factor, and I loved it. And people forget, like, they talk about the small ball with the Warriors. They had Bogut. They had David West. They had. You had to carry three bigs on your roster just for Shaq. There was no small ball because you guys would have just had to foul. You would have had to foul Shaq the whole time. Like Draymond would have had to foul. Andrew would have had to foul. But if you would have tried to play small ball with Shaq on the floor, it would have been– it's like you see like, you know, when you're playing in the pool with your kids, right?

And they're like hanging off and doing– Shaq was old. It went over. I can't afford it. Keep podcasting, man. This shit's bright, man. It's usually bright for you, man, in this area, man. I appreciate that, man. They're holding you back, man. You can start your own shit, man. Talk that shit, man. You don't want to drop coverage, though, with Steph? I think Shaq, prime Shaq, was a lot more mobile than people think.

Yeah, bro.

Now, don't get me wrong. Shaq had never seen Steph and Klay before. But you also understand there's Kobe. There's Kobe on that team.

Exactly.

You had some defenders on that team.

Robert Orange.

Shaq is the one.

He's the one person. But Kobe going to have to take KD. Derrick Fisher, I don't know what he would have did. Somebody got to bless KD.

Okay.

He got to be Bane. but yeah I'm not saying it.

Wouldn't have been a great series I'm just saying is that nine of us were fouling Shaq at a time and he was dunking on.

A lot of people there's a picture of four desk players in the post but they beat them but they were kind of they were dealing with stuff.

Freaky Carl LA was getting the best of Carl bro well.

All them late nights. When Carl finally got to L.A., it was over, bro.

Yeah, he was in there fucking up the vibes, bro. Carl was out in L.A. wildin'. Boy, you remember that, man?

Richard. He was out there cutting. He was cutting the rug out there. Cutting the rug. Still driving that stupid-ass 18-wheeler to the game and shit. No reaction. You don't need to.

I ain't saying shit.

Call Malone. Hey, this the part of real when we're zooming in on Richard. Just be here, audio. Yeah, nah.

Oh, yeah.

Nah.

Edit. That ass. See, that ass got that.

That 0-4 Lakers team, bro. GP and Carl, bro, they was all this.

Yeah, but Kobe was on a very, he wanted a finals MVP that year. He was shooting that way. Like, no disrespect, but like, we played against that 0-4 Pistons team. We were up 3-2 in New Jersey. We were up 3-2 against them. J-Kid knee fucked up, so he's not going to be able to make it, but We take them to seven. So I'm watching Kobe. I'm like, I was cooking them. I'm like, Kobe's 10 times better than me.

I had 30 twice in a series. We was balling. I'm like, there is no way that this team should be losing. But I just think the energy just seemed off on their team. And Shaq was traded that summer. So I'm not going to disrespect that 0-4 Pistons team. They were elite. They were one of our rivals in Jersey.

But they also didn't... They also did not. It just didn't seem like the.

Same Lakers team.

It was elite timing. No lie. That was perfect.

Good call, DJ. That's our guy, man.

Free all innocent people. Oh, yeah, yeah, yeah. Yeah.

Malik's situation is a little bit different. I wonder if they're still giving him house for ransom.

That was another young player I had, man. Just didn't listen.

All of a sudden. This is how this got started.

Yeah, what did you teach him? I didn't teach him nothing, man. I'm like, no. Yeah, no.

This is what I'm saying.

All kidding aside, I truly believe free all innocent people. If they innocent, they innocent. If they guilty, then they are. Whoever, I don't care who it is. They have jeopardized our game. They've jeopardized the integrity of what we do to work. The ethic is the same with. you know, steroids in football.

Anything that you do to jeopardize the integrity of our game, I can't ride with you.

That's why I play wrestling. I'm not going to lie. You can do steroids in wrestling.

Paul George did what he did last year. I think they could have gave him a lighter sentence, bro.

Yeah.

That's not the way it works. It's not like a jury. It's like if this pops up on your test. I'm just saying, like, that's how you feel. Just say how I feel, bro.

He's trying to go crazy. He got the wrong stuff, guys.

Yeah.

Wrong stuff.

Judging from all the labels and stuff, y'all sell anything around here, huh?

Whoa.

That's what I'm saying, man. What anything? Show me. Pause. Show me what you're not selling. She said Jesus. Jesus Christ, man. Jesus Christ. Oh, man. Fail topic. We talking about basketball. She's over there laughing. She's going to watch this podcast again when it drops. Y'all going to have me on again.

It's fun.

Y'all going to come out to L.A.? Y'all coming out to L.A.

I would love to come to L.A.

Absolutely. Mike, I grew up with. Mike was my first OG from Phoenix. He was 15 minutes from me. I was a sophomore when he was a senior. Mike was my first Like, show us the way. Nobody from Arizona had ever made anything out of anywhere. And he was a senior. He was the number one point guard in the country. That was Kobe's class. So, like, I was a sophomore. That's part of the reason why I went to Arizona. Mike lied to me. He's like, man, come here.

I'm going to be throwing you lobs and blah, blah, blah.

I'm like, oh, shit.

Okay, cool. I signed with Arizona. And with the number two pick in the NBA draft, Michael Alexander Bibby.

My God.

How funny is Mike?

Mike is the greatest.

Mike is the greatest.

We were on the Arizona Stars together.

I was 14.

He was 16. Like, He, Mike, Mike is my guy now.

I had a great dude.

I wasn't good. I was, I was trash until I was like 16, 17. I wasn't nobody.

Yeah.

I was a late bloomer. I just, I played in the park. I was, I was like, they had to teach me how to play full court.

Like you were tall as a kid.

Yeah, but not the tallest. So it was kind of like.

Tall as shit.

Yeah.

How tall was you when you was 14?

So I probably started freshman year, like six, one ended like six, three. then showed back up my sophomore year, like 6'5, and they was like, all right, you got to go to class, man.

You got to go to class.

My problem wasn't going to class. I always go to class. I just never did any of the homework. So they was basically like, hey, you got to start doing the homework. And so I was like, okay.

You can go to college and make you eligible.

Make you eligible. You got to go to college. So that was my high school coach. Shout out Coach Bowie. He's the one that kind of got me on the right. But before that, they was like, where was you at all summer? You know, there's no cell phones. They got to call your home. They got to try and figure...

There's no email. Here's the schedule. It was just more of like, school is out. I'm in the park all day, every day, hooping, playing.

You show back up. That had to be the best, bro.

It was the best, bro.

I wish I couldn't call y'all.

Yeah. Or text message.

Yeah.

That's crazy. Your kids now are not playing basketball outside under any circumstances.

Well, my kids are. I just got out. So... We just bought a building for road tripping. Shout out Arena House. We just bought a building.

They got that good money, y'all.

Yeah, that good money. We had to keep up with y'all. All kidding aside, I'm so. Impressed by what you guys have done like you guys have raised the level you don't get to start in the podcast space and be like hey we're gonna start a podcast we doing zoom no you're not y'all we gonna start a podcast we gonna do no you're not you gotta have a production now podcasting has changed you guys raised the level so even for us who's been doing it 10 years we're like okay we want to dedicate a lot more to road tripping I had to go buy a building.

Right?

So we got a building. We got a half court. So my kids is going to be out there on the half. They're going to do their tutoring there. They're going to be playing half court. I'm going to call their little friends. Come out there. Just be like, hey, this is just a half court. There's 20 kids. Four on four.

Losers go off.

I don't care. Y'all stay here all day.

It's kind of random that you did that because we're in the process of something right now.

But that's crazy.

You don't want to speak on it?

No, no, we can't.

They ain't say no.

That's crazy.

He was a McDonald's All-American.

Why?

No, I'm the I'm just saying, you said you was a late bloomer.

Nah, the facts. Well, no, no.

So what my thing was is I was like an unknown kid. And so this was back when you didn't know people. So you guys remember Tracy McGrady's story? So Tracy McGrady went from like unknown. He grew like five inches. Then he goes to ABCD camp. He's the best player in the camp. And so- you get to a space where like the next year they're like, all right, who's the next person that no one's ever heard of that's going to go on and do something. So then I go, I go to these, the Nike camp. I'm like one of the last people invited. No one's ever heard of me.

Cause I've never done a summer, a number. And I fucking try to kill everyone there. leave that, win West Coast Player of the Year, our AAU team, we win the Nike Grand Finale, and then all of a sudden, all of that shit happened for me in six months. So that's how I got McDonald's All-American, all that stuff.

Did you know you was one of the top-level kids, though, at that time? Like, did you, like, yeah, I'm up there.

When I was young, I was like, can't nobody be playing this much basketball at 1450. I'm like, I'm in Arizona. My parents don't got a lot, so they both work in jobs, so I'm catching the city bus to the park that's a couple miles away I'm just hooping every day waiting for people to show up, but that was free.

It was fun. So like for me in that space, but after that, when I went to the Nike camp, Tayshaun Prince was on my team and his brother was very, very good that he had Tyson Chandler, Jason Thomas, that was Compton Mingus. So Tayshaun Prince is on my Nike camp. And so I go there and I destroyed Corey McGinn, all these dudes destroy it. I see the camp list and it says Tayshaun Prince six, Richard Jefferson 50. And I'm like, okay, I'm top 50. That's still, that's still good.

But I'm like, they couldn't have been. And shout out Tayshaun. You know, that's my guy. But I'm like, there was no way they could have been. Tayshaun looked at me and was like, hey, you got to guard Corey McKinney. Corey looked like a grown man when we was 17 and 18. He looked the same now and through the league as he did when we was 16, 17.

It's a DVD with all them on there.

Yeah, so it was one of those things that leaving the camp, I felt like, oh, okay. I feel like I'm a top 20, right, just from this camp. But you still got to go out and prove it on that circuit.

That's a fact.

Damn.

It's crazy because nowadays, those rankings that everybody was like... That changed people's lives.

You could be a millionaire before you go to college now off the rankings.

Oh, yeah. Well, then you just got to start paying them people to rank you higher.

And that's what's happening, though. That's what's happening.

Very true.

That's what's happening. I know one of the... Not with myself.

Really? No, you lied. No, I'm not. I know somebody who.

I know some people who did that.

Yeah, well, look, if that's the difference... Like, we try to make it up out of.

It, right?

Yeah, if you get $ 200, 000, do I get you a million? Because you're ranked 12 spots higher.

That's a good return on your investment.

I'm always willing to pay, though.

Yeah. For sure. But at the end of the day, you're still going to have to hoop at some point in time. You're going to have to show up at some point in time, no matter how much money they give you.

Yeah, because it's on one of your deals now. You have a bad freshman year. You're going to ICDC College.

ICDC College. Legendary.

Shout out to Romeo.

Shout out to Romeo. I got to ask you now, man. What's it like being in the media now?

Because a lot of these players now are a little bit different than the way I grew up, I wouldn't say. They don't like our words too much. He did the finals, bro.

Come on, bro. He did the real shit. What's that like, that environment?

This is my first love of media, is podcasting. Because when I first wanted to start, I was getting close to retirement, and I was like, okay, I want to start doing it. Podcast started to become a thing. So my first love was podcasting. Then you're like, okay, well, let me see what I'm going to do. You go to ESPN, you start doing the show, shout out NBA Today, Malika, Perk, Cheney, the whole crew. So you start doing that. Because it's all different modalities. Talking on a podcast, different than talking on NBA Today or First Take. Then you call a game. Game, boy, game is the most tight. They do not mess around.

And I had to learn the hard way, right? Like my first couple of years, they're like, hey, listen, man, if we're going to trust you, you're on live TV on ABC. talking to all of America, sometimes the world. Yo jokes not gonna fly, right? Like some of this, some of this. So, no, so for me, I learned, one, there's a technical aspect. Like you got somebody in your ear and you got to finish your thought with a three, two, one to break. And you got to finish it. And you see people on Twitter at home and, oh, you make a mistake on a name. You make a mistake on a stat. There's a different intensity to a game.

And I feel... You know, Mike Breen saw him on my way. He was giving a lot of love. He really likes what you guys do. I was like, oh, I gotta go do this he's like I've seen some of their stuff they do a good job and you know that's Mike that's the highest form of compliment but calling the finals it is the ultimate the ultimate and it takes a lot of work and there's Like you got to understand we're in production meetings for two hours, day of game, doing these different things, interviewing coaches. Now think about this. You got to interview a coach before every single game. Now I got to ask a question in front of like Mike, Tim, Doris, my first year.

You got to ask a question that's legitimate. You can't just ask them a fluff question. You got to ask them, I studied, I'm paying attention. So you got to do that. Do you get players come in? Then you got to do that. Do you got to go on air? So there's just a technical aspect to it that is legitimate.

It's a job job. It ain't turn something on what we talking about. It's very rewarding. There's a responsibility that comes with sitting in that seat. And I take it very seriously because I also love the game. I grew up watching Bill Walton and Snapper Jones and Mark and Jeff and all these guys that came before us. So for me, I just remember being that kid and nobody else in my family watched basketball. So I remember being that kid sitting there by myself, watching Marv Albert, Bill Walton, a Sunday triple header. It's Reggie, it's Michael. So now all of a sudden you sitting here, you know, watching NBC, now you on there and now you're like, Oh, I got to do it. So people give me, you know, people always going to give shit, but it's like, it's tough.

Cause you got to talk, you got to talk to people that know basketball and you also have to introduce basketball to to the 10-year-old kid that's watching. It's like, hey, see, this is a down screen. And people go, motherfucker, we know it's a down screen.

Do this.

I'm like, yeah. But there's a 12-year-old kid that does it. So you got to have that balance of deep basketball talk, but also like, hey, we're introducing the game to people.

I never thought about it like that, like introducing the game.

Or somebody that doesn't know it at our level. So it's hard to have. That's why podcasts are different, because you can go deeper into something for 10, 12 minutes, film breakdown, stuff like that. But, like, bro, if I'm watching a game and a dad's sitting there with his 15-year-old son, that motherfucker don't know shit about basketball. Dad don't know shit about basketball.

Definitely don't.

But it's like, you're like, oh, you know, how do you trap a screen? Or, you know, you got to go down, like, all these little terminologies, you have to explain it. But that frustrates people of high basketball IQ.

Yeah, for sure.

Right? And so you got to listen to them motherfuckers' church. You're like, bitch, I know more gospel than all of you.

And it's a production thing, too. Also, it adds to the memories.

Like, we wouldn't have those legendary moments in sports without the broadcasting aspect of it. Like, the Mike Breen bangs, like, that does something for people. Like, those are legendary moments. It's all a big part of the production.

Yeah.

This segment is presented by Cutwater. Real cocktails, perfectly mixed. Listen, man, here on 520, we always go with outstanding performance, fatigue. We going with the squad so far, man. The undefeated Trailblazers, 3-0 so far. Your early season pick. How you feeling so far up the squad, man? My favorite team in the league.

The most exciting team, you know, when I'm at home watching the game with my cup of water.

I get hype. I call in my guys. Lou, Moot, let's do films. Portland Trailblazers playing. Come on, man. Be here. Your guy, John Ray, man. The resurgence back in Portland. How you feeling, brother?

I'm feeling good, man. Glad to see, you know what I mean, getting this love again, man. It's known, but I always keep my espresso martini on deck for sure every time I'm checking out the games, man.

Especially on them late night games, huh?

Yeah, the martini keep you going, baby.

Come on, man. Tap in with Cutwater, man. I was talking to Jamal Crawford because he just started doing it. Jamal is so good. He does that shit in the locker room.

Yeah.

I knew he would be a star at it or whatever he's going to be. And I asked him, I was like, how tough is it? He was like, I ain't going to lie, bro. this shit tough.

This shit tough, bro.

If I be willing to say some stuff that I forget, I'll be like, nah, I can't do this.

And I was like, man, you good at it though. He was like, I don't think I was, I don't think I'm that good.

Bro, you good, bro. There's imposter syndrome when you sitting there because you just like, okay, I want to say this, and now you got to make sure you're with the team. You got to stay in between. Teams will be like, you open up Twitter and be like, this motherfucker won't stop talking about the Warriors. This motherfucker won't stop talking about the Cavs. It's like, bro, both y'all saying the same shit and saying I'm talking about the other one.

But it's like, yeah, if your team is getting blown out by 40, you're going to hate every word I have to say.

Absolutely.

And you just have to accept it. But yeah, man, that's... It's a very hard job. And before you get to that top spot, understand, we call all conference finals and all NBA finals in that top spot. So that's a potential 14 games that you're on the road, away from your family, away from your kids. Like, I don't see my kids. Like, I try and get them to a game.

I'll come home if the series ends in six. cool, I get to go home for three days before I have to go to the finals. You will be there game one. No, you got to be there two days before to do all the interviews, all the media stuff, all the coaches stuff, all the production meeting. Like, it is... I didn't know what I was asking for. I truly am blessed to do it, and I take it with a responsibility for all of y'all, for me, for everybody.

That's fire.

That's fire. Yeah, Mark Jones is one of my favorite people. I tell him, bro.

Jonesy.

He goaded that shit, bro.

For sure.

All right, man, we got to talk about this season, man. Obviously, OG Brian, man. He in Philly. What's your thoughts on the 76ers, man? JB out here sending hate tweets, man. The vibes is high.

Yeah, we bring back the negative energy in the NBA. My favorite time of the year.

I tell everybody. The NBA is the best reality show in the world. It is the best.

Drama.

You can literally... If there's women that like sports or whatever, you don't even have to follow basketball. Just follow the drama. Who's breaking up with who? Who left who? What's going on? The NBA is the best reality show in all of sports, and that includes soccer, right? There's no drama that you're going to find. I think LeBron... I'm going to call.

Out my guy, right? That's it. We're here.

You know, probably my guy, right? But I'm watching. And it's like all of his clips now, they got nothing but Philly music. They got nothing but Philly. He playing Meek Mill, right?

Yeah, he's embracing the city.

Yeah, he's embracing the city, and he's doing it. And it is really cool to see, because we've been in Philly. I've been in Philly with him and hearing them cuss him out and boo him. And now to see them cheer for him and defend him, like Philly's defending Bron. And I think that's a beautiful.

Thing to see. Did you think he was going to go to.

Philly?

Bro, like he told us where he was going. He told us where he was going.

Damn, breaking news. Anthony Edwards out for a couple hours.

Is that real? Damn, man. Damn. Anthony Edwards about to have a little surgery.

Come on, man.

Y'all got breaking news on here? That's some bullshit, bro.

The Mellow, we need you, brother.

That just killed my energy, bro.

MVP season.

Yes. Wow, bro. Damn.

What's the Mellow going to do? I don't fucking know, Jeff. That's his team.

That's his team. Which one is his team? Minnesota. Minnesota. How's Minnesota your team? Richard, this is not Tom. I hate when you say my name. Shit. Now, damn.

That hurts, man.

Man.

They was the most exciting team in the league. Come on, man.

Injuries hurt.

It hurt. They just ruined it. I know. That low-key just ruined the league.

Wait, wait, wait.

I'm a Patriots fan, bro.

Oh, yeah.

Oh, that was... Bro, I kid you not, man. I don't think fans understand. You could not like a player. When you see somebody go down, we saw Jason Tatum go down. Tyrese, they was three quarters away from winning a championship in seven. And I'm not saying that they were or weren't.

But the way that bad boy started, the way he was starting, history shows.

And even then, TJ did outstanding. They kept it close very, very long with that emotional weight. Man, injuries.

I ain't going to lie. I thought they were about to win.

Man, when I saw those first couple shots.

When you hit that second three, I said, I am.

I'm going downtown. Shut up, Tyrese, too, man. He's one of the good NBA guys. He's all-time. I love that dude.

Injuries suck, man. Rest up to AE, man.

Timberwolves, man.

That ruined the league a little bit, bro.

Yeah, well, you saw OKC with J-Dog. That's crazy, too.

But AE was, like, keeping up. The Wolves was keeping it alive, bro.

It's anybody's game now.

They vibed. Dave Bob's was crazy.

Man.

You got to go Bear Jersey. You got to go Bear Jersey? I deserve a polo, though. I told the world about Anthony Edwards before.

Before he was the number one pick in the league? Number one pick in high school? What did you do before? Richard, Richard.

He was in Arizona golfing and shit. I'm just talking about in my neighborhood, in my area, in my city, in my free zone. Nobody even had AE in Georgia on their radar.

This is a fact.

I showed Mike this shit about two years ago where I had posted this shit. Like, this is going to be the number one pick in the NBA draft. And it came true, bro. So save the bullshit.

Yeah. At least y'all believe that. He saw the number one pick early on. He's already the best scout. He's already the best scout.

He was the OKC.

We had to make a real about it.

He called OKC like three years ago.

Bro, you got to stop hanging out at heists again. I ain't got there too.

He called OKC three years ago.

I know a little bit.

I clown with you, but I.

Pay attention to you. If you sit here With these basketball minds, you got to pay attention.

Yeah, for sure.

You got to pay attention. For sure, for sure. You might not say shit, but yeah. Are you going to drink your drink? Can I take it?

Brother, if you want that, it's on you.

Go crazy.

What you got, a little not yours now it's different what you mean he having a time yeah these.

Indie streets ain't nice man nah you don't the indie streets last time i was in the street legs.

A little long yeah bro got them little nails they look like an english bulldog I see you uncomfortable with the Chucky's, man. Bro, I was sitting 1A. I couldn't move my legs. I had to stretch them out. It was a long flight, man. What we got, man?

What we got? Early predictions. Who's the MVP? Since AE's out, that was one of our favorites. Teague took Luka. I said SGA for the three-peat. Who you got? It's hard, bro.

Like, look, this is the thing, man. I don't predict. I analyze. You know what I'm saying? So, like, When people get down to that thing, I'm going to analyze where they are. I like Shea. I like Dwinby. I like Ant, Luka. I think a dark horse is hard, but I think a dark horse, I won't say MVP, but I think a dark horse first-team All-NBA is Tyrese Maxey.

I think he's going to lead their team in scoring, and he should. He should be the one, hey, you just go, right? And so all of a sudden, if they finish in the top three, he's their leading scorer. He's going to be first or second team, in my opinion. But there's nobody else out there now because Ant's team, Ant's injured.

That sucks.

OKC is going to be good. They're still going to be very, very good. But you can obviously see they might not be. That was a deciding factor last year in the MVP is that OKC had the best record. With no J-Dub, right, for a period of time. With no Kacen Wallace for a period of time. Maybe they're number two or number three.

I think he's going to go so crazy now, though. He might average 36.

Who?

Shea. Oh, I'm number one Shea fan over here.

He might, bro. I don't have to pass the ball to nobody.

No. He's number one fan.

Oh, what?

You called it first? No, no, no. I was calling.

I was calling.

I was just trying.

To figure out what you got on the board. I got on the board for.

During his first MVP when people were, because when people were being hypercritical, I had to take like a different look. And I was like, if like people was talking about the free throws, I wasn't even that good of a player. Like I was at my best, I was a very good, I was never a great player. And I'm like, Joe, I average eight, nine free throws a night. And people are tripping over his eight, nine free throws. And I get it.

We all flop.

But how about this? No, no, no. I was flopping. I can tell you I was flopping. It's a skill. Can I say this? If you take away every free throw attempt in the league, Shea still leads the league in scoring. So he still out-buckets everybody.

I was arguing with that.

So you asking me when I came to Shea, fan, is that what you asking me?

That's two different things, Richard.

So I'm telling you, when I dove deep into what he was doing, I was.

Like, wait a second, this dude, if you take away all the fritos, which is the only thing people criticize him about... He still has more field goal maids than anybody else. That's including Giannis. That's including Jokic. That's including everybody. He is making more FGMs than anybody at 50 fucking percent.

That's three straight years he did that. He didn't even got bounced like that. He didn't got bounced like that.

The push-off.

Shut up. They did.

I'm not talking to you.

I'm not. The punch-off. The push-off.

They tried to hit on my boys. There is a fucking rule, bro, because of that.

He was pushing off.

He was pushing off.

Well, he did it. Everybody was pushing off. If they're going to allow it, you got to do it. But I'm just saying, once I saw he was shooting 50%. That's incredible. He made more buckets than anybody. He's up with MJ categories. We can't say MJ had MJ rules. So, like, you couldn't touch MJ either. You ain't shitting on him.

Listen, Richard, you're trying to argue with me, Richard. I feel like I'm doing a good job of it. You're doing a terrible job because I'm trying to. I'm vouching for you. He on your team. I'm on your team.

No, I'm still arguing.

I don't think you supported enough. That's how my argument's going.

You don't need some support? Oh, bam on a bio because they are coming here right now for no reason. Now, give your real take on the heat, though. Y'all should go back to Milwaukee, man. Go back home, man. How do you feel about them? He lived in Milwaukee for a little bit.

Yeah, I had a cool 82.

I had a cool 82 in Milwaukee.

Played all 82. Average 20. We didn't win shit. In my defense, Bogey got hurt. Michael Redd got hurt.

Child Michael Redd.

Child Michael Redd. If both of them played, we'd probably sniff the postseason because that was when you can make it as a seven. Like, you make it as a seven, you win. No, I think their team, man, I think Bam's in a tough spot, man, because they got a superhuman version of him.

Right?

And I think Bam, for the first time, even when there was Jimmy and there was Tyler, he was still the focal point of the bigs. They would play through him, stuff like that. I think Bam's in a tough spot, and we have to give him time. I think 20 games, to me, is a sample size. After 20 games, I know if you can shoot, if you can defend. I know your rotations. I know all this stuff. And I think Bam will figure it out. There's an emotional adjustment to it. And I think he will, but I think it's going to take time. Like I've said it before, like you don't give out grades on the first day of school. You don't give out grades on the first week of school. Like you got to go through the semester, then you take the test. Okay, what is that? To me,

that's 20 games. That's 30 games. Okay, you 30 games in. Are you 15 and 15? Are you 20 and 10? Are you 10 and 20? That's when I can grade you. But I think Bam will figure it out because he's proven to be a winner. And it's really about Giannis adjusting physically. And them coming together to figure out how to incorporate. But it's hard to play with Bron. It's hard to play with Kobe. It's hard to play with MJ.

It's hard to play with the greatest players of all time. That's just period. Like you said it, it's hard to play with Giannis.

Yeah, for sure.

You think it's easy to play with Bron? I can imagine. No, no, no. Now he'll dime you up. He'll do all this stuff, but you got to learn how to fit into the windows and angles that he wants you in to elevate him. And so I just think, I think it's unfair to say like after four or five games, they've had some close game stuff. I think Miami will be, they'll be right there when it comes to the end.

I just think like they got to like play them. They got to counter set, like offset them a little bit. Like Bam got to have his time where he is the focal point. then Giannis, and then they can mix back up. But Bam, he's out there like, bro, this is my team.

He's lost. During headlights, like, woo, you passing to me in the corner? Yeah, Bam having eight points. I ain't never been a spot-up shooter.

There was one that night he was one for five. He was one for five and one for six. And as much as that's on your teammates, that's on the coach, that's on the system, but that's also on Bam. Like, I was taught. Certified. Like in San Antonio, it was like, yo, go grab a rebound.

Yeah.

If you grab the rebound, you bring it up.

Oh, God.

You grab the rebound, bam. You can average 10, 12 rebounds. You go grab the rebound. Now you bring it up. You wave everybody off. That doesn't mean you got to go score. That means you grab the rebound, you bring it up. Then you can start backing people down. Then you can create. Then, okay, I got the ISO. Then you just feel good about yourself and you got a rhythm.

But if people are grabbing rebounds and you go stand in the corner– The.

Thing, Giannis is going to get all the rebounds.

Giannis is going to get all the rebounds.

He's going to put that mellow, fuck out of here.

Yeah, it's like, that's tough, man. But no, I think Bam will figure it out. It's up to the Heat to figure it out. But Davion Mitchell. He balling.

He loving this situation. My year is great so far. Do you remember when the Heat were like, they were hedging ball screens?

Yes.

With Bron and them? I don't know why they don't bring that concept with them. They so athletic and fast. I'm like, why are they not hedging balls?

They was crazy.

I'm talking about their defense was so crazy with D-Wade and Bron playing the passing lanes and all that stuff.

They did. But they don't have those back wing players. Bam and Giannis are like that. Yeah. But Davion, a little on the smaller side. Then, hell, Larson.

Wig is.

Play. Wig, Big Dave.

He hasn't played to be there on the back line right now, bro. That's insane. Wig is 6'8. What's wrong with Clay Bermudez, bro?

That's it.

Clay is still healthy. Hey, you threw that pass, that skip pass. That shit was a.

I was glad to be out west when that shit was really popping out, bro.

That shit was crazy. As a patience man, I was like, damn, I got to do.

It, bro.

I started, bro. They blitzed me one time.

I'm like, oh, shit. And you don't understand.

It's a turnover.

Once you throw that ball, it's gone. It's like you... Like, Bron would sit on the weak side and play free safety, and then they would trap if you try to throw a skip.

It's gone.

It's gone.

Damn, man.

He catching it, throwing it. They throwing it up back, doing this shit. Yeah, that shit. Yeah.

But I thought they would play. I was like, you remember I kept saying, they're going to be blitzing, picking a row. This shit about to look crazy.

Yeah.

Man, drop coverage. What the fuck?

They'll figure it out, though. I believe in Eric Spolstra. You know Pat Riley.

He might come back.

You guys like playing in Miami? You guys like being here?

Yeah, he's going to ask questions.

Yeah.

Yeah. Answer correctly, for sure.

Before we get out of here, B.Hinn, is it time for concern for the Denver Nuggets, man, with Joker?

Nah, he and them gone. They good now.

Damn. Yeah, man.

DeRozan, he done found his footing out there. This motherfucker. I think they gonna be cool.

You played in Denver, too, right?

You had my last year. I had a cup of coffee a couple places. You know what I'm saying?

You had a solid 17-year career. But I think Denver gonna be fire, bro. And leaving like this for two months. bro that's a big l bro.

Yeah that's a lot that huge you forget two months out and then another three weeks of.

Ramping up ramping up man that's really three months bro yeah damn my season is fucking shot yeah man are you okay bro Oh, bro, you don't know.

He's been so geek for this thing. Bro, this season?

I did game one when he had 45, bro. Yeah, he was waving people off.

That's what I was going to say. When did his knee start? He just had 45.

But they said something before he played on the back-to-back.

They faked the sound, bro. He played through it, though.

Are you okay, bro? What the fuck? Yo, do you hear? Like, I know y'all know him, but I'm like, it's really effective, bro.

You know how much it means to him. I'm like, we got LaMelo Ball in the mix. My boy fight through a knee injury and score a 47. He cold. Fucking Rudy Goldberg. I think Rudy fucking probably need him or something.

Nah, we not going to deal with, nah, listen.

Richard.

We are not.

Richard, you're on my show.

I'm not saying my name, bro. We're not going to tolerate Rudy Slander. This is his show. You see what the fuck? Yeah, I'm 35%.

That's what I'm saying. Yeah, bro, this is your show. Okay, Rich, don't let me have my time.

Listen, bro.

Did you see Rudy Dolphins last night? The shit he was doing?

Nah, I was flying.

Nah, fuck off. We'll put it on the screen for you.

Shout out Rudy. That's my brother. Rudy's been playing good. He's been rebounding.

That motherfucker was 0 for 9 yesterday.

He just had a bad night.

You just praised him on Monday.

That's what I'm saying. Come on, man. You can't flip like that.

If you have a bad game, we will turn on you.

I'm glad I'm retired.

I want some real shit, bro. Until that shit you pulled, I was a fan, though. What shit did I pull?

I just feel like you could have played harder against the Spurs. I just told you. The whole fucking breakdown.

They know.

If I'm saying something about basketball, I really probably watched the shit. Probably watched it? You really probably watched it? When I know, I said, damn. Okay, they really believe in Richards. They got rid of my boy, Keith Van Horn. That's the reason why Jeff wore a. 44, because Keith Van Horn. That's a little fun fact for you.

He made that shit up.

But I'm saying, it was killing, bro. I was playing well. And I thought you could have helped a lot more. It was just so much shit. I'm like, I never thought I'd meet you in real life.

Neither did I. I never thought. I never thought I'd be sitting here talking to you. This is what I'm saying.

He was at the Gambling House, bro.

I was at the Gambling House on Boulevard, man. I'm about to take you on a tour when you come back. No, you are. I dug around the hood now. I'm like, where are we going? We getting out? Nah, we sure? I'm like, Rich is a hell of a slasher. He was known. I feel like they got him. Can I defend myself?

Like, an athletic wing, a defender, and then I'm like, fuck. Tim Duncan was like... Damn near six blocks or something crazy in that series. Yeah, I was trying to dunk on it.

I'm like, why is this shit not working? Because it was two of them. It was him and David. David wasn't even really... David was at the end. He was just more there for support. You get past one of them and then the other do. But I'll tell you this. Manu Ginobili... One of the best teammates I ever had.

One of the most humble. Like, the dude is... Like, I was with Manu, like, at the beginning of Messi.

Right?

At the beginning of Messi. And I only say that to say... In Argentina, like, Manu, after the gold medal, after World... All this stuff. Manu is an absolute legend. He's the most humble, the most amazing dude.

Now.

The competitor to me is like, yeah, we lost. It was some bullshit. But the other side of it, he's in the Hall of Fame. He is. He's an all-star. He is.

I was. You was in my second year.

Yeah, I was in my second year.

I'm getting it off now. I just lost so much money when I was.

The real Euro step. Yeah, the real Euro step. And this is another thing people don't know about Manu. He really likes 6'6.

Yeah, he does.

He look like he move like he's big.

I remember him saying he took the same height.

And he's physical as shit. Yeah. And he's crazy.

Yeah. Right? Yeah.

Like he's like, yeah, he's different. So at the end of the day, I got outplayed by a future Hall of Famer. My bad, bro. My bad, bro.

No, he was good. I thought he was playing good. King was a little. Yeah.

It was a lot of pressure on King.

Yeah.

I'm kidding. I was like, God damn. That's my brother. But game six, Kenyon struggled a little bit. But he struggled against Tim Duncan. Tim Duncan averaged like, damn near probably 30.

No, he almost had a crop of 3.5.

He had 20, 29, and 10 versus us.

It's like, well, hats off.

You can't block shots like that, bro. It was fucking crazy. Before I played with, Now, okay, J-Kid different because that was my OG.

Shout out J-Kid.

Bron different.

Yes.

But, like, I played with Jokic before he was Jokic. I played with Steph before he was Steph. You saw it. You saw it. Tim Duncan in his prime, bro, there wasn't shit you could do. He was the most efficient elite. Every rebound you needed, every block, like, he was, bro, he was too good, man. Tim was too good.

What did you say about there?

I was a fucking kid Kevin Willis was on that team? yes bro I played against people born in the 60s in the 60s.

Bro he got ARP Kevin Willis on the shit that's what I'm.

Saying Steve Smith I remember that shit Danny Ferry Steve Kerr how about Steve Kerr ass I would play against Steve.

Kerr in the finals Steve Kerr had some big shots Damn, man.

No, they had a legit team. But Tim Duncan, 32 blocks? Damn.

That was my first time.

He had like $ 500, bro.

I said, fuck Richard Jefferson.

You had $ 500 in 2002? You had $ 500 in 2012? You a fucking liar. You better do your research.

No cap.

I swear to God, I was selling my clothes. I got to check in when I come to your city?

No, you don't. You good.

Okay, okay.

I was selling my clothes. I was selling my clothes in the hood. And shit, I had to go back road. And then I'm like, damn, because I fucked with J.K.

So heavy.

Yeah. I'm like, damn.

Then this motherfucker, I'm like....

Bullshit ass help side defense. Fucking lazy ass. All you want to do is fucking dunk on everybody.

That's it. That's it, bro. That is it. The whole game. I don't care about anything but a body. That's it. You got a lot of body. That's all I need.

You got a lot of body.

Listen, there's not a single thing I will ever brag about my game, but if you want to talk about catching fools, we'd be up by 20. I'm like, I just need to dunk to finish this game.

We dunked on somebody in Dallas, bro.

Michael can't get close.

Oh, Gilly.

That's who it was. Oh, Lord.

That's a Gilly. It was a charge, though.

Good luck, Gilly. I ain't seen him in a minute, man. How's he doing? He's doing well.

I ain't seen Gilly in a minute.

In your class?

No, it's my brother's class. If I made fun of Gilly's shot, he ain't going to talk to us. Gilly's doing well for himself. What are you talking about?

How do you know?

He's good, bro. Marcus talks to him all the time.

Okay, cool. Shout out to Marcus. Shout out to Gilly, man.

Yeah.

We'll get out of here in one time and shout out to Roach. We appreciate you pulling up. You know what I mean?
