Easter Encounters: Week 4 - Easter Sunday - The Risen Christ

In this week’s Easter Encounters, we follow Mary Magdalene’s journey from the depths of grief at an empty tomb to the transformative hope of the resurrection. Standing outside the tomb weeping, Mary initially mistakes the risen Jesus for a gardener until He speaks her name, illustrating that the essence of Christianity is not just a set of historical facts, but a personal relationship where the Saviour calls us by name.
Mary’s story reminds us that Jesus is unique in His incarnation, atonement, and resurrection - the only one qualified to triumph over death and turn our mourning into a mission to announce that we have seen the Lord.
