I Looked Into The Unsolved Case Of Sioux Falls' "Hot" Incident

Hot is a Halloween Scary Story told through a recovered journal written by a 15-year-old boy living on a remote farm outside Sioux Falls, South Dakota. The diary details a chilling supernatural phenomenon where the narrator, his younger sister, and eventually every child in the rural community begin experiencing identical, recurring nightmares featuring an ominous old man who warns them to flee the area immediately. As the countdown ticks down and the children press him for answers about what is coming, the old man only whispers a single terrifying word: “Hot.” The narrative builds tension toward a mysterious, cataclysmic overnight disaster dubbed the "Fires of Death," which completely obliterates the farmland in a scorching, unnatural wave of devastation, leaving behind a bone-dry wasteland and no survivors.
