I Worked at a Halloween Store and This Is My Scariest Encounter

a retail worker at a seasonal Halloween pop-up store who notices an eerie, unsettling woman lurking in line to buy a cheap blonde wig. During their interaction, the woman asks subtle, odd questions about the narrator's appearance and footwear before leaving wearing an orange collared shirt that matches the store's uniform.
The narrator grows paranoid that she is being stalked, only to learn the next day that the woman—Carrie Morgan—was hit and killed by a car that night along the narrator's exact commute home.
The chilling realization settles in when the narrator learns Carrie was wearing the blonde wig, orange shirt, and matching shoes at the time of her death, revealing that Carrie's Halloween costume was designed to look identically like the narrator.
