From the St. Ignatius Chapel at the Manresa Jesuit Spiritual Renewal Center in Pickering, Ontario. The National Catholic Broadcasting Council presents the Daily TV Mass.

Welcome to the celebration of the Daily TV Mass. I'm Father Roshan Lloyd DeSouza. The televising of this Mass is made possible by the contribution from Clotilda Fernandez from Mississauga, Ontario, along with her children Ida, Mark, and Lona. This Mass is offered in loving memory of her beloved husband David Fernandez on his 10th death anniversary and for the deceased members of the Fernandez and Roderick families.

May God grant them grace, mercy, and eternal rest. Also in thanksgiving for blessings received, for their personal intentions, and for the holy souls in purgatory. Our thanks to Clotilda for making it possible for tens of thousands of faithful across Canada, the USA, and around the world to share in this celebration.

In the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit. The grace and peace of our Lord Jesus Christ, the love of God, and the communion of the Holy Spirit be with you all. And with your spirit. And today, as we honor Saint John Paul II, we pray that we too may evangelize, spread the Word of Christ through our thoughts, words, and actions.

To enter into this celebration, let us call to mind our sins and seek God's mercy. I confess to Almighty God and to you, my brothers and sisters, that I have greatly sinned in my thoughts and my words, in what I have done and what I have failed to do, through my fault, through my fault, through my most grievous fault.

Therefore I ask Blessed Mary, ever virgin, all the angels and saints, and you, my brothers and sisters, to pray for me to the Lord our God. May Almighty God have mercy on us, forgive us our sins, and bring us to everlasting life. Amen. Lord, have mercy. Christ have mercy. Lord, have mercy. Let us pray.

Almighty ever-living God, who chose blessed John Paul II to preside over your whole people and benefit them by word and example. Keep safe, we pray, by his intercession, the shepherds of your church, along with the flocks entrusted to their care, and direct them in the way of eternal salvation. Through Lord Jesus Christ, your Son, who lives and reigns with you in the unity of the Holy Spirit, God, for ever and ever.

Amen.

Our reading from the letter of Paul to the Ephesians. I pray that you may not lose heart over my sufferings for you. They are your glory. For this reason I bow my knees before the Father, from whom every family in heaven and on earth takes its name. I pray that, according to the riches of his glory, God may grant that you may be strengthened in your inner being with the power through his Spirit and that Christ may dwell in your hearts through faith, as you are being rooted and grounded in love.

I pray that you may have the power to comprehend with all the saints what is the breadth and length and height and depth, and to know the love of Christ that surpasses knowledge, so that you may be may be filled with all the fullness of God. Now to God, who by the power at work within us is able to accomplish abundantly far more than we can ask or imagine, to him be the glory in the church and in Christ Jesus to all generations for ever and ever.

Amen. The word of the Lord.

Make melody to him with a harp of ten strings. For the word of the Lord is right, and all his work is done in faithfulness. The earth is full of the steadfast love of the Lord. The earth is full of the goodness of the Lord. The thoughts of his heart to all generations.

And how I wish it were already kindled. I have a baptism with which to be baptized, and what stress I'm under until it is completed. Do you think that I have come to bring peace to the earth? No, I tell you, but rather division. From now on, five in one household will be divided, three against two, and two against three.

They will be divided. Father against son, and son against father, mother against daughter, and daughter against mother, mother-in-law against her daughter-in-law, and daughter-in-law against her mother-in-law. The gospel of the Lord. Praise to you, Lord Jesus Christ. In the year 1955, in Montagree, Alabama, an African American woman named Rosa Parks was traveling home on a city bus.

At the time, racial segregation was enforced by law, and black passengers were expected to give up their seats when asked. One day, Rosa Parks was told to give up her seat. She quietly refused. Her decision was simple, but it was not easy. She knew that refusing could bring serious consequences. Her arrest became one of the events that helped spark the Montegray bus bycott and strengthened the American civil rights movement.

Rosa Parks later explained that she was not simply tired from the day's work, she was tired of injustice. Her story reminds us that sometimes doing what is right requires courage, especially when it is unpopular or difficult. This connects beautifully with today's gospel. Jesus says, I have come to bring fire to the earth, and how I wish it were already kindled.

The fire Jesus speaks about is the fire of God's love and truth. It is a fire that changes hearts and gives us courage to stand for what is right. St. Paul tells the Ephesians not to lose heart because of his sufferings. Instead, he prays that God may strengthen them with power through his spirit in their inner being.

Paul knows that Christian life is not always easy. There will be suffering, disappointment, uncertainty, and moments when we feel weak. But Paul reminds us that our strength does not come only from ourselves. Christ dwells in our hearts through faith. When you feel weak, remember where your strength comes from.

God can strengthen us from within. Courage when we are afraid. And hope when we cannot see the way forward. Paul concludes with a beautiful truth. God is able to accomplish abundantly far more than all we can ask or imagine. Never underestimate what God can do through a faithful heart. Our psalm response today is the earth is full of the goodness of the Lord.

We often notice what is wrong in the world. But the psalm invites us to notice what is good. Every act of kindness, every person who forgives, every family member who sacrifices, every volunteer who serves, every person who reaches out to someone who is lonely. These are signs of God's goodness. Look for God's goodness and become an instrument of that goodness.

We are not merely called to recognize God's goodness, we are called to bring it into the lives of others. Jesus says, Do you think that I have come to bring peace to the earth? No, I tell you, but rather division. At first, these words can sound strange. Jesus is the Prince of Peace. Why would he speak about division?

Jesus is not asking his followers to create conflict. Rather, he wants us that choosing truth can sometimes create division. When we decide to forgive instead of taking revenge, to speak honestly instead of telling a lie, to defend someone who is treated unfairly, or to stand for Christian values when others disagree.

Our choices may not always be welcomed. Following Jesus requires conviction. It gives us the courage to live according to the gospel even when it is difficult. Today, let us ask ourselves: what is God asking me to change? Where do I need to have a greater courage? Is there some situation where I know what is right, but I'm afraid to stand for it?

May the prayer of St. Paul become our prayer today, that Christ may dwell deeply in our hearts and strengthen us through his spirit. And may we remember the words of the Psalm. May God's goodness fill our hearts. Christ's fire strengthen our faith and our lives to become a courageous witness to his truth and love.

Amen. Let us bring all our prayers to our loving God. Let us pray for the church as we honor Saint John Paul II. We pray that all the leaders may continue to spread the message of Christ and live according to the kingdom values. We pray to the Lord. Lord, hear our prayer. We pray for peace in the world, for the end of war and violence, that the Pins of Peace bring unity among people and nations.

We pray to the Lord. Lord, hear our prayer. For all the sick and suffering, homebound and those in hospitals, for their healing, grace, and strength, we pray to the Lord. Lord, hear our prayer. For all the departed members, if you have lost someone recently, that the Lord may grant them eternal peace.

We pray to the Lord. Lord, hear our prayer. For all the names mentioned in our prayer intentions book, that the Lord may fulfill their hearts' desires. We pray to the Lord. Lord, hear our prayer. We make these prayers through Christ our Lord. Amen. Blessed are you, Lord God of all creation. For through your goodness we have received the bread we offer you, fruit of the earth and work of human hands.

It will become for us the bread of life. Blessed be God forever. Blessed are you, Lord God of all creation. For through your goodness we have received the wine we offer you. Fruit of the wine and work of human hands, it will become our spiritual drink. Blessed be God forever.

unknown Thank you.

Pray, my brothers and sisters, that my sacrifice and yours may be acceptable to God, our Heavenly Father. May the Lord accept the sacrifice of your hands for the praise and glory of His name for our good and good of all this holy church. Accept this sacrifice from your people, we pray, O Lord, and make what is offered for your glory in honor of Blessed John Paul II, a means to our eternal salvation through Christ our Lord.

Amen. The Lord be with you.

And with your spirit.

Lift up your hearts. Let us give thanks to the Lord our God. It is right and just truly right and just our duty and our salvation, always and everywhere to give you thanks, Lord Holy Father, Almighty and Eternal God, through Christ our Lord. For as on the festival of St. John Paul II, you bid your church rejoice, so to you strengthen her by the example of his holy life, teach her by his words of preaching, and keep her safe in answer to his prayers.

And so, with a company of angels and saints, we sing the hymn of your praise as without end we acclaim.

Hosanna in the highest. Blessed is He who comes in the name of the Lord.

You are indeed holy, O Lord, and all you have created rightly gives you praise. For through your Son, our Lord Jesus Christ, by the power and working of the Holy Spirit, you give life to all things and make them holy, and you never cease to gather our people to yourself, so that from the rising of the Son to his setting, a pure sacrifice may be offered to your name.

Therefore, O Lord, we humbly implore you by the same Spirit, graciously make holy these gifts we have brought to you for consecration, that they may become the body and blood of your Son, our Lord Jesus Christ, at whose command we celebrate these mysteries. For on the night he was betrayed, he himself took bread, and giving you thanks, he said the blessing, broke the bread, and gave it to his disciples, saying, Take this, all of you, and eat of it, for this is my body, which will be given up for you.

In a similar way, when supper was ended, he took the chalice, and giving you thanks, he said the blessing and gave the chalice to his disciples, saying, Take this, all of you, and drink from it. For this is a chalice of my blood, the blood of the new and eternal covenant, which will be poured out for you and for many for the forgiveness of sins.

Do this in memory of me.

The mystery of faith.

For by your cross and resurrection you have set us free.

Therefore, O Lord, as we celebrate the memorial of the saving passion of your Son, his wondrous resurrection and ascension into heaven, and as As we look forward to a second coming, we offer you in thanksgiving this holy and living sacrifice. Look, we pray upon the oblation of your church, and recognizing the sacrificial victim by whose death you will to reconcile us to yourself.

Grant that we who are nourished by the body and blood of your Son and filled with His Holy Spirit may become one body, one spirit in Christ. May He make of us an eternal offering to you, so that we may obtain an inheritance with your elect, especially with the most blessed Virgin Mary, Mother of God, with Blessed Joseph, her spouse, with your blessed apostles, Saint Glorious Martyrs, St.

John Paul II, and with all the saints, on whose constant intercession in your presence we rely for unfailing help. May this sacrifice of our reconciliation we pray, O Lord, advance the peace and salvation of all the world. Be pleased to confirm in faith and charity your pilgrim church on earth, with your servant Leo, our Pope, Francis, our bishop, the Order of Bishops, all the clergy, and the entire people you have gained for your own.

Listen graciously to the prayers of this family, whom you have summoned before you. In your compassion, O merciful Father, gather to yourself all your children scattered throughout the world, to our departed brothers and sisters, and to all who are pleasing to you at their passing from this life, give kind admittance to your kingdom.

There we hope to enjoy forever the fullness of your glory, through Christ our Lord, through whom you bestow on the world all that is good.

Through him and with him and in him, O God Almighty Father, in the unity of the Holy Spirit, all glory and honor is yours forever and ever.

Give us this day our daily prayer and forgive us our trespasses, as we forgive those who trespass against us, and lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil. Deliver us, Lord, we pray from every evil. Graciously grant peace in our days, that by the help of your mercy we may be always free from sin and safe from all distress, as we await the blessed hope and the coming of our Savior, Jesus Christ, for the kingdom, the power, the glory are yours now and forever.

Lord Jesus Christ, who said to your apostles, peace I leave you, my peace I give you. Look not on our sins, but on the faith of your church, and graciously grant her peace and unity in accordance with your will, who live and reign forever and ever.

Amen.

The peace of the Lord be with you always. Let us offer one another the sign of peace. Peace Spirit.

You take away the sins of the world. You take away the sins of the world. Grant us.

Behold the Lamb of God. Behold him who takes away the sins of the world. Blessed are those called to the supper of the Lamb. Lord, I am not worthy that should enter into my roof, but only say the word, and my soul shall be healed. The body and blood of Christ makes a fast life.

My Jesus, I believe that you are present in this holy sacrament of the altar. I love you above all things, and I passionately desire to receive you into my soul. Since I cannot now receive you sacramentally, come spiritually into my soul, so that I may unite myself wholly to you now and forever. Amen.

Let us pray. May the sacrament we have received, O Lord our God, stir up in us that fire of charity with which blessed John Paul II burned urgently as he gave himself unceasingly for your church through Christ our Lord. Amen. The Lord be with you.

And with your spirit.

May Almighty God bless you, the Father and the Son and the Holy Spirit. Amen. The Mass is ended. Let us go in the love of Christ. Thanks be to God.

Our thanks to our donors for the gift of this month.
